Looks like people are not happy with the trade of CJ Perez to the SMB.

They were just surprised, for PBA fans I'm sure they are happy because this will make their team better and with CJ Perez on board, that makes their future more secured as veterans like Arwind and Cabagnot will soon retire. CJ Perez is a scoring champ, he certainly will fit with the SMB and good pair with Fajardo due to his good passing skills.

Agree, I'm surprise as well as we were talking about other player that was asking his current team to be traded, but then this big news just came in and we didn't see it coming.

SMB is the best team in the PBA (whether you agree with me or not) even if they failed last season.

Fajardo as long as he is healthy will continue to bring this team to the championship, they don't need to be like a super team to win as they are already a super team. It's not only a shame for the SMB but for the entire organization as they allow to make a specific to be this strong while leaving the struggling team to struggle more.
5382  Local / Pilipinas / Re: BREAKING NEWS! Philippine Central Bank Widens Cryptocurrency Regulation on: January 29, 2021, 11:47:10 AM
"Entities engaged in these activities will now be “subject to the BSP’s licensing requirements, regulatory expectations for money service businesses (MSB)” as well as AML, CFT, and PF obligations."

Probably safe to assume na hihigpit saatin ang local exchanges, as to be expected naman. Kaya sa mahihilig parin magstore ng lahat ng funds nila sa Coins.ph: not your keys.. you know the drill.

Bawi nalang siguro bukas, mas maraming games kaya mas maraming pagpipilian.

DALLAS MAVERICKS +4.5... ito ang bet ko.
5384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: January 29, 2021, 10:07:08 AM
The Lakers expressing a desire to trade for Bradley Beal to form a big 3 of their own. Analysts are saying it would be the best big 3 in nba history. While I think that’s a bit premature, it is fun to think about. The finals are going to be great this year.

https://www.silverscreenandroll.com/2021/1/28/22255124/lakers-trade-rumors-bradley-beal-wizards-clippers-woj-report-espn

For me, I think it's no necessary anymore, they are still the best team in the NBA for now.
Even if they are not anymore rank at number 1 but their chance is still high to win in the West and to win the NBA Finals.

I don't know what still they need more, their role players are very effective, others just need more time to blend well to the team.

If they get Beal, who are gonna be traded for him?

They are best for now but that's not enough the other teams are building their own super team especially the nets if they complete to get either Javale,Love or Drummond well they are so dangerous opponent to face on.

Also in terms of trading talks kuzma's a name is always inserted also maybe they will add other player or pick to make this planned deal done.

I'm following this rumor, we will wait what's gonna happen overtime, if Beal will be destined with the Lakers, then be it, but he has to play the role under King James because Lebron will always manned this team, it's very different from his current role now.
5385  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: January 28, 2021, 10:36:00 PM
Heat -4.5 @1.86 vs Clippers, still no Leonard and PG13 for the Clippers while Butler may suit up for the Heat as his status is upgraded to questionable.

GL to everyone.

I will skip your other pick, I'll choose this one.

Ang heat ay nasa losing streak na, this is a must win for them, and kahit wala pa si Butler, I believe Kaya ng Heat na manalo sa Clippers.
So I'll tail this pick, good luck sa atin, sana malaki ang lamang para walang kaba.  Smiley Smiley

I think the max year is only 3 years, I dig a little and see this news, it's Fajardo signed a 3 year deal with the SMB, but this news was in 2015 and I think Fajardo is still already the best player in the PBA that time.

https://www.philstar.com/the-freeman/cebu-sports/2015/09/04/1496251/fajardo-set-sign-3-year-multi-million-deal-smb

Also, speaking of salary, we can check their monthly salary thru this page.

No one gets 500k per month, that's how low the salary in the PBA compared to international basketball league.
Yeah, that's also what I think about the max contract should be in 3 years. I've mentioned Kenneth Duremdes having the most contract because I've read an article that said that he got a max contract of 8 years but that was a very long time ago. I thought with the recent years, it was Arwind Santos that has the highest paid in a contract.

I think this is what you are talking about.

This still stands as the richest PBA player contract - at least on record

That's 80 million pesos, that's probably the biggest as that is equivalent to 10 million per year or php833,000 per month.

5387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Naoya Inoue vs Michael Dasmarinas (No date yet) on: January 25, 2021, 10:12:15 PM

If somehow Dasmarinas possesses a granite chin like Margarito or Canelo, then absorb the punch and throw something in return that can hurt Inoue and extend the fight in full 12 rounds.

How about the body, I think he also need a strong body otherwise he would feel like what Donaire felt during his fight with Inoue. This guy is now the most popular boxer in Japan, he has the power and the speed, so it's really a tough fight for Dasmarinas here but this tough fight comes with big reward if he wins this game, enough for him to get bigger fights afterwards.

If indeed Dasmarinas can really get out as a winner from this fight, a lot of good things will happen to him.
Inoue is considered to be a superstar right now. So he is fighting a very popular boxer in their generation.
Really interesting if Dasmarinas can really challenge Inoue inside the ring.
I am guessing a lot will bet on Dasmarinas as the odds on Inoue is really not profitable.

It's not profitable if bet on the moneyline but with handicap, probably that's what people are looking into.
Inoue is a knockout artist, probably the best odds are Inoue's KO win in round 1 to round 6, we just have to choose which round we think he would KO Dasmarinas.
5388  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Official betting partner of ARSENAL FC 🚀 on: January 25, 2021, 03:22:52 PM
Can’t believe Mcgregor lost to be honest, I have to admit I’m disappointed. He should probably retire & stick to it now, he’s lost 2 of his last 3 fights. There’s nowhere for him to go now, his time as number 1 is over. Khabib shouldn’t bother coming out of retirement, there’s nothing to tempt him (on a sporting note).
I cannot believe there were many who trusted Conor McGregor will come out and deliver a classical performance, he fought 3 times in the last 5 years and if you expect him to be in fight shape and that too against a fighter who faced every good boxer in the division and came out on top against the list of Anthony Pettis, Justin Gaethje, Eddie Alvarez, Max Holloway and Dan Hooker and i am surprised everyone slept on his skills, i made a bet on both the underdogs but did not expect the knockout.

Conor McGregor can go for the Nate Diaz trilogy and it is the perfect fight.

The popularity of McGregor was one of the reason why he was still the favorite on that fight, and he won his previous fight prior to this lose. However, I noticed that in his last 3 fights, the last one was the worse because he seemed not in shape, he was busy going after Manny Pacquiao to fight him for a big paycheck.
5389  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you rely on the odds when placing bets? on: January 25, 2021, 03:13:24 PM
You would learn things with experience and to those things that you had believed in the past and it would really be proven out on actual experience or situation.

1.01 doesn't really mean 100% chance of winning and I do see that even with this odds do still lose and that really indicates that nothing is really a sure win.

We cant really just deny that we do make out some presumptions and analysis with just seeing the odds. Favorite are always in favored to win but not all the times
and you will see that if you do go ahead with your sports betting journey.
Favorites often lose, despite the fact that odds for them are almost always low. And betting on odds like 1.01 - 1.10 is very unreasonable, because in this way you simply reduce the bookmaker's risks and increase them for yourself. You need to try to bets on a odds of 2, this will increase your chances at the distance, provided that the percentage of winning bets will be greater than losing ones.

Actually 1.10 is really low, I'm not taking that kind of low odds anymore, I've experimented betting on low odds in the past, even combine them through parlay and it does not work. Just think logically, bookmakers knows what they are doing, they won't offer an odds that will easily give bettors a win, most odds are really tempting and that result to most of us make a wrong decision in picking as we all love to bet on the favorites.
5390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: People die from heart attack when they hit the jackpot. on: January 25, 2021, 02:52:55 PM
One of the most preposterous things I've read recently, but I suppose real life is a lot stranger than fiction, truth be told.

I've thought about it myself actually: am I willing to lose something to win something really big (and it would have to be substantial enough to live out the rest of my life in comfort without worrying about family).

Heart attack? Let me win $1 billion and I'll say bring it on!

Your heart might not be in danger but life might be if people know you won that big. hehe..

I'm not aiming for a $1 billion win, I'm okay with $100 million, that would already change my life and I can help my relatives with that money.
I'll prepare my heart for that, lol.. i'm gambling everyday so I'm a well practiced gambler.
5391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bithumb Global open Amepay deposit. on: January 25, 2021, 11:07:05 AM
It's down significantly now, it might take a longer period to see that but it's not impossible, lets just watch and hope our expectation will come.

We will see that. Amepay will be listed on MXC and XT exchange site this day. I hope that will give another pump to the ametoken soon. It looks like more major exchange site will also come very soon.
I have been watching the price of ame token anytime and it looks like it started to grow gradually.
Another exchange site will come soon as stated by the team.
I don't know what will happen after trading starts on MXC exchange and the XT exchange because I believe that many are waiting to sell their tokens, if there is more sellers than buyers there may be problem for ame token to add more value
If they will sell their tokens, they can sell it at Bithumb, why would they wait for a new exchange if their purpose is just to sell, and maybe they don't have to expect that the price will rise right away as there's no hype on listing in big exchange anymore as it already listed in Bithumb.
5392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Altcoins Follow BTC Rally? on: January 25, 2021, 10:53:08 AM

I would suggest you to move away from altcoins other than the top 10 altcoins. Then go with bitcoin for the long term.

This is a safe suggestion, the top 10 altcoins normally are strong altcoins because they have good volume and they usually survive from long bear market in the past, however, it's not also bad to look at some risky altcoins for a higher reward, at the end of the day, what matters is the right portfolio management using a proper risk management system.

ADVANCE PICK>

Portland TrailBlazers vs New York Knicks.

Portland is now struggling due to injury, the previous game loss against the Spurs by 21 points makes me think that they will continue to struggle as they lose their 2 starters (McCollum and Nurkic), Knicks will probably win this game but if the opposite will happen, I think it will be a close game.

Pick : NYK +3.5 Good luck everyone!

I'm in on this one, Knicks have been playing really well recently, I watched them against Warriors and Celtics and they were pretty impressive.

Elsewhere, I'm going with Milwaukee Bucks -7.5 against Atalanta Hawks.

This is a good bet, Bucks have loss twice already but Hawks is not as good as the Nets and the LA Lakers so they might again get back on winning track with a dominant win. In their last meeting, Bucks won by 26 points so -7.5 is a good spread for Bucks.

Yeah! Milwaukee did cover their spread, and won by 14 points difference. They had at least a double-digits from the first quarter and kept it through most the game. I'm 2 of 2 for tonight, thanks to the Knicks rally in both 3rd and 4th quarter to keep it close against Blazers.

Congratulations to everyone!

That was a good night for you, 2 of 2, few bets but quality bets, congratulations. All of the these bets are really not easy if you are watching, but what matter is the win in the end.  Smiley
5395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let`s say bitcoin replaces fiat. What happens? on: January 24, 2021, 11:05:54 PM
I can't imagine how the world would be if bitcoin will replace fiat.
What happen to the government then, they will print money which they can control, if bitcoin will replace fiat, then there will be no control, only the big holders can control the market by moving it and I doubt the government would allow that as they always want stability, hence fiat will stay.

Move it against what?
Have you forgotten that in your scenarios there is no more fiat, no more USD no more Euros?
So, against what will the whales move BTC up and down?

Imagine a world with only one currency, how could you manipulate the currency against something that exists no more, exactly what you're talking about happened to Greece when they couldn't devaluate their currency anymore and weren't able to print money to get out of it.

Moving it for the purpose of making profit, that's what I see and when that happen, the price dump, and when there's a hype, the price pump and that is not a good definition of stability. I believe in the potential of bitcoin but if we always see this kind of market movement, I doubt ordinary people would use bitcoin as a currency.

What I'm talking is currency is for payment system, it's suppose to be stable, bitcoin is not stable, hence I believe it's only good for investment now like protecting your money against inflation.

5399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Paquiao VS Connor McGreggor? on: January 24, 2021, 11:54:46 AM
We don't know if Manny Pacquiao and his team are still interested on Conor as he lost to Justin Poirier via knock-out.

What do you guys think? Will it still create the needed hype even though Conor seems to be really out of shape, his power no longer there. And with this lost are fans still going to buy tickets or PPV because we all know that Conor will not win against a version of Manny?

Conor might think that his UFC journey is over and he will now focus on boxing.

Damn, that's what he get when he is too complacent, he focus on being superstar than improving himself as a fighter, now his popularity is slowly diminishing and I don't think he can still come back. This Paquiao vs McGreggor if it will happen will be a good way for him to earn millions but in UFC, i guess he will not be the favorites again after this lose.

I like to hear what Manny has to say about the result.
5400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Naoya Inoue vs Michael Dasmarinas (No date yet) on: January 24, 2021, 11:34:00 AM

Filipino fighters are dangerous, they'd repeatedly pulled an upset against boxing superstars. Fighters such as Pacquiao and Donaire, although Donaire got beaten by Inoue it was still an impressive fight despite his been out of his prime for a long time. Still Inoue is currently reigning in this weight class and incredibly skilled he'll probably quickly figure out Dasmariñas after 4 rounds.

Filipino fighters are known for their fighting heart but I don't think Dasmarinas fighting heart can get him to beat Inoue, the skill and power discrepancies are very relevant, Inoue is getting better in every fight that he is in, and this one is no different, I predict a knock out for Inoue because he is a very relentless fighter inside and outside.
Yep, I don't feel the confidence that Dasmarinas will win this fight, it's a 50/50. No, it probably, Inoue will have a higher chance to win this (if it will push through) as we saw his fighting experience as well. In fact, the defeat of Donarie means that Inoue really has the capability to fight hard puncher and best boxer in the ring.
This will be exciting to see, though and Pinoy fans will choose Dasma but for me, I will still choose Inoue.

The betting odds is not out yet but I believe Inoue will still be the heavy favorites in this fight.

Inoue was heavily favored to win when he fought Donaire and even in his last fight, even during the time when there was a rumor that he would fight casimero, there were betting lines in different article and Inoue was still heavily favored. We can understand and it's expected since Inoue is undefeated and he has a very high KO power.
