5381  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CHINA NEED PRAYERS AND NOT BITCOIN on: February 12, 2020, 08:42:19 AM
The don't need prayers, they need to find cure of the virus so that they can treat immediately those who are affected and stop the spread as cases of new victims are appearing every where around the globe. And they have all the tools, they have their own CDC their which is in my opinion far more advanced than US itself.

We don't need to involved "Higher Being" here, what we need is to protect ourselves and let China do their job controlling the source of the virus.
5382  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: How to Protect Your Crypto Wallet if Someone Searches Your Phone? on: February 12, 2020, 08:05:52 AM
It's either not to used your mobile phone, or get a hardware wallet, or used a different phone for your crypto dealing separate from your personal phone. So in any case, you could have at least a line of defense for this kind of scenario in the future.
^ It's a good idea and that is what I am doing now. I used another mobile phone aside from my personal use that I hand carry almost every day. And besides, then that never save personal information on your mobile phone just like keeping private keys or passwords. Save it on the flash drive and keep it into a safe place that no one knows. When a scenario comes like this and if someone confiscated your phone or even when it is snatched you dont need to worry about.

That would be hassle to carry on my side if I do that since for me I prefer one phone only to minimize the hassle, but I make sure that I always activate my 2fa and email verification for my mobile wallet so people who  browse my phone without my permission cannot get an access to my personal wallet and also I don't save any important details especially wallet private keys or anything for security purposes.

I guess to each his own. I always carry two wallets with me, and I don't see it as a hassle. Most of the time I have my wife carry my other phone. Of course we always need to activate 2fa and email verification for our mobile but I just prefer it that way.

So one for my daily and personal used and even though no one can touch it except my wife or my kids, still I practice two phones for my security.
5383  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: CryptoScamAlert.com. Need your advice on: February 11, 2020, 09:24:05 PM
Nice project, how do you find scammers though? Do you research on them yourself or do you just list scammers that have been found already? Just a tip, every day, there are a lot of members reporting scams in the Scam Accusations board, you may want to check it.

I also wanted to see the recent one, I found one website before who says that they have a list of scam/scammers but when I check them it's never been updated. So you guys need to constantly updated your list, otherwise you might not get the needed exposure.
5384  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is back with a bang. on: February 11, 2020, 08:46:43 PM
After a massive performance this year BTC crossed 10k mark and went down to 9.5k, right now it's 10297$ guys it seems like BTC is going to bang again.

Guys Just hold your BTC and wait till is year end I personally feel like it will skyrocket again as most of the analyst predict this year will be a brightest year for Bitcoin, hopefully happy days will be back again.

Well we're glad to see Bitcoin going back to five digits once again. I have a bit of talk to one of my friends who panics when he see the price going as low as $9800 and thought that we are in a bearish trend or at least the price will continue to go down and will be having a hard time going back to $10,000.

And Bitcoin proves lot of doubters again, it's so resilient and the price movement is very unpredictable. Regarding holding our stash, definitely, we're all gonna do it because we still have the most important event in May and chances are we're going to see the price move up even higher.
5385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons why exchange coins moving up.. on: February 11, 2020, 08:10:07 PM
There was a time when investors and newbies went on a crazy spree to invest on exchange tokens like BNB, OKB, BIX, HUOBI TOKEN, Kucoin Shares and Aurora...

Many of them strated pumping from 3-4 days and it was not a small one. I have seen that this happens when BTC moves big. What is your opinion on this..?

What do you expect? When the price of Bitcoin started to move, everyone follows even those exchange coin. specially BNB. Because we all that it has the backing of one of the leading exchanges in crypto sphere. So it make sense for it to move when Bitcoin moves.

But this is still a great time to accumulate those exchange coin, specially four of the coins you have mentioned. There might be some good exchange coins that we haven't heard, so just do our own research and try to look for them. And then buy them, who knows, they might be the next BNB.
5386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Quiet Bounty Time on: February 11, 2020, 02:17:42 PM
Good day every bounty hunters, I went to bounties section today I a spotted two new fake projects, I'm not going to say their names but they are very easy to get, the teams have blurry pictures of themselves on the websites, tell me,how hard can snapping pictures be that teams decide to use blurry images? be wise

Then archived everything, and put it in the Scam Accusations board so that many can be given the warnings about this project so that no one can fall for their trap. Well that's one trick in their bags, to blur their picture and hopefully no one will notice about it. But guys like you are quick to spot it, so better exposed them as early as you can on that board.

The only reason that I can think of why it is quiet its because of the bearish trend. The market is at a stand still although we have seen some movement at the start of the year, it's not enough to gather momentum. Maybe some projects are just waiting for the perfect time to enter the market.
5387  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is Bitcoin finally legal in US? on: February 11, 2020, 01:49:19 PM
There were many events keep on happening in US justice department about bitcoin.
In some county its accepted for paying water bills and taxes.

Perhaps I was lucky enough to live in a country wherein Bitcoin can be used to pay bills, like internet, water and even electric. But I'm not aware of taxes though.

In some places I have seen news US Fed wants to introduce new bill for legalization of bitcoin transactions.

I guess it still boils down as to how US will view Bitcoin in the future. If they think that it is being misused by bad actors, they might introduce stricter regulations. But for now, US citizens can freely buy/sell trade Bitcoins, and btw, it isn't illegal to begin with.
5388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: February 11, 2020, 11:55:21 AM
Anyone watching the New York Open?

Steve Johnson beat  Sandgren 6-7(5), 6-3, 7-6(3). We all remember who Sandgren is, the guy that Federer beat from a come from behind win. They went into a tie break, but Johnson mostly controlled it. I guess that Sandgren was still feeling the pain on that Federer lost and probably seeing another ghost during his match against Johnson specially in the tie break.
5389  Economy / Speculation / Re: Tone Vays Stands by $4K Bitcoin Price Pre-Halving Prediction on: February 11, 2020, 11:15:22 AM
Again, this is Tone Vays, if we have a perma bull like Tom Lee, then this is his counterpart. And just for the sake of argument, Bitcoin hits $4000, so what we are going to do? of course, we won't just dump and be emotional. I guess we will hear again, weak has will be shaken.

And we have to understand that this so called experts have their bad/good intentions behind. So I wouldn't be surprised to hear it from Tone Vays, perhaps he is a perma bull, but might be secretly buying in dips.
5390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another wallet key lost. on: February 11, 2020, 10:37:24 AM
Yesterday someone I knew uninstalled his wallet from his android phone mistakenly and he told me to help him recover his wallet but guess what? he did not write out the wallet recovery phrase, the wallet consist of 640$ worth of bitcoin, he was broken, felt pity for him, how can someone not take recovery seed serious? that's what came out of my mouth, Really I felt pity for him because he went through a lot to gather that bitcoin, people need to start taking wallet keys or phrases very serious, newbies should please understand that without these keys you lose your money, time and energy
If its an android app its ok as long as you didn't uninstall the application you use or never reformat your phone it will not gone as long its continue running. But for real security of your asset you need to save all important things because its your money involve.

That is right, that should be the first thing that you need to educate yourself. I'm sure that the OP's friend knew it first hand, but he didn't take it seriously resulting in a massive lost on his part. And with Bitcoin's price going to five digits again, I'm sure that he regret what he had done prior and after.

It's impossible to brute force it, I can feel your sentiment to his friends, but we can't do anything at this point but to shake our heads for his simply but costly mistakes.
5391  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin breaks 500 million transaction milestone on: February 11, 2020, 09:49:51 AM
It’s a pretty cool milestone but just one of many we’ll see reached over the next few years. I’m more excited about seeing a $100,000 BTC Wink

Hah, you have a point, that will be like x5 of the previous all-time-high (almost $20k), so that it mean that the we will see 25,000 million transaction or more in the future?

And this is just the beginning. Soon, bitcoin will become one of the main currencies for online payment.

That's what Satoshi wanted, Bitcoin to be used as micro-payments, however, I would say that it become a asset or commodity or store of value. But it doesn't mean that it is bad though, its just that we have evolved so much in the last ten years.
5392  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: SEC vs Telegram Group Inc on: February 11, 2020, 08:32:58 AM
So if SEC insist pushing that grams are security tokens but the Gram stipulated on their platform that their tokens served as a utility on their telegram network then they are lying to us? Then if that's the case they arent allowed to list it on major exchanges such as liquid and okex since there are none regulations yet set for security tokens that allowed them to formally listed on market. I know some security tokens but their provisions arent tight unlike this one.

That's why we have this court case now. It's there word against SEC and only litigation like this will tell us who's lying or not.

The results of the filed case might not favor gram if such accusation is proven and discussed by authority. I am looking forward what action gram will take on this matter.

Then they have to counter SEC, but from the looks of it, seems that Telegram is really on the hot water here. The ball is really on their court to prove that they are not a security token.
5393  Other / Off-topic / Re: Worlds largest sugar refinery will use blockchain! on: February 11, 2020, 08:01:20 AM
the real question is why! it is like saying from tomorrow i will use a tank to drive to work instead of using my car. in order to trade sugar in a centralized place there is no need for smart contracts or even blockchain, it can be done a lot easier and more efficiently with traditional ways similar to how you would trade stocks for example. i honestly don't see the benefit of blockchain here.

Just like what we have seen in the last couple of years, companies, mid-to-big, are really at blockchain's hype train. I don't know if they really do some feasible study before implementing blockchain technology here because as you have said, they might not need it. Perhaps just a simply centralised database will do to track everything.

Anyways, I do hope that it will make their business operations more robust with their blockchain implementation, otherwise they're just wasting money here, IMHO.
5394  Economy / Marketplace / Re: $1 Billion Dollar’s Worth of Cryptocurrency Stolen in 2018 on: February 10, 2020, 11:33:10 PM
Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies have controversial beginnings to begin with and these events make investors big or small insecure about their assets. If popular exchanges which are trusted by people are vulnerable to such threats then trading in cryptocurrencies will be less trusted.

I wouldn't say it's controversial, there is no controversy, the media just spun bitcoin or crypto that's why it attracted a lot of attentions from governments.

If they became insecure then why the number of Bitcoin transactions are going up? and the number of crypto traders are also growing exponentially? "Trust" is a strong word in crypto world and I don't think that traders really do trade on exchanges because they trust them, but just because they can earn money, the same as exchanges are making money out of us traders.

And as far as hacking goes, it won't simply just as what @Jating as posted, we have hacks are early as this time, but at least it is not in millions of dollars.
5395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight on: February 10, 2020, 10:55:30 PM
Damn, looks like Casimero is really in shape for this fight. He is always in shape on every fight, but this sure is very different because there is so much at stake. And with Manny Pacquiao behind him, I'm sure he is going to put everything on line and don't want to disappoint his boss.

I do hope that he can upset the Monster here and bring back the crown to the Filipinos once again.

His physique doesn't look any different from previous fights IMO.

He's still the smaller fighter, lower reach, less experienced and older. It's over for him, even with Pacquiao in his corner.

I'm going to place a bet for a round 8-12 KO by Inoue.

You have the right to place your bet on Inoue, after all he is the favorite here.

But saying that Casimero is less experienced? Are you sure of that? LOL. He had defeated champions from their own turf and even involved in a melee in Mexico as far as I can remember.

He is small, no question about that, but he is one of the most explosive fighter and he is really going tooth and nail here, not because he wanted to avenge Nonito, but he has all the leverage and tools and the heart to win against Inoue.
5396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Hardware wallet really secure enough? on: February 10, 2020, 10:30:02 PM
Recently I have seen the news that Trezor hardware wallet was hacked in 15 minutes! Was it true guys? Or I have misunderstood? I thought they have very strong security that can't be breach so easily! But look at what can be happened to Trezor within 15 minutes! So, how can we feel 100% safe in hardware wallet?

You can read official response here.

So they acknowledge the hacked, however, for us more mortals, it will be very hard to perform that exploit, as you need to have special skills to really break the hardware wallet, so it's not that easy as it sound. So for me it is still 100% safe.
5397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think Ripple (XRP) will rise to moon. on: February 10, 2020, 09:39:28 PM
It is still on the top 3 so that alone speaks how investors are really into XRP. But as far as going to the moon again, it might take some time though. We're just starting to heat up, so we need to look at around 12-24 months at least and see how XRP will do.

Of course, altcoin market can't stand alone without the big push from Bitcoin. So there is a possibility that if Bitcoin gets into another all time high, some major atcoins could also follow. With that said, we need to wait and see. As I have said, it might be just a question of when, but I'm speculating that if past history repeats itself it might peak at 2021. IMHO.
5398  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull run confirmed ? bitcoin ready to $10.000 on: February 10, 2020, 09:10:45 PM
The next question is how long can we stay at $10k. It would have been nice to at least make a run for 12k or more before I can attest to the bull run

Right, we are almost $10k but is it gonna stay long at that mark? It would be nicer if incase it will not stay in $10k but it'll go higher than $10k. Anyways, the price hitting $10,000 mark suggest a bull run because who knows it will still become bearish even in $10k. Lets wait and see.

A bearish trend after the 10k mark will not be good for the market. Alts will dump bad, and right now, I really want Ethereum to moon. But if it scales to like 15k then alts may stabilize even if BTC dumps slightly.
Bitcoin is currently experiencing a correction now the price is under $ 10k, but on TF 1 day it is still in a bullish trend, so don't worry, it is true that the risk may decline drastically, but there is still hope to survive at current prices

Bitcoin always behave like that, when we touch or break a supposedly mental barrier in front of us, it will be followed by a healthy correction, similar to what we have seen today, so I would say that it is just normal. Even a 30% dump is not surprising. What surprises everyone is that after this price correction, Bitcoin again will have a run. So probably we might see $12,000.

So I'm expecting that after a lull, bullish trend will resume. And for those who panic seeing their portfolio going down a bit, then I advise that you continue to HOLD. We are just months away from the block halving, so it is going to be interesting and don't think of pushing that sell button.
5399  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is Trending on China on: February 10, 2020, 08:26:07 PM
It's pretty obvious that Bitcoin is trending around the globe, not just in China. And it doesn't matter if they really embrace it or not. As Bitcoin will continue to grow exponentially in the next coming decade without China. This is similar to what we witnessed in 2017, lots of country are watching it, and as a result, more regulations what introduce. The thing with Bitcoin or at least crypto is that it continue to grow and if one country ban it, guarantee they will be left behind.
5400  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: What are the most viral crypto projects on: February 10, 2020, 08:01:31 PM
On top of my head during the ICO boom in 2017, with hundreds of millions of dollars being raised in short amount of time.

  • Bancor
  • Tezos
  • Filecoin

I think Binance launch in 2017 went viral as well, I remember that they have to suspend accepting members because they have been overwhelm by so many crypto traders who want to get a piece of the action. Those projects really know to market their services thru social media, click bait articles, shills, anything under the sun that will put their name of top of the discussions that time.[/list]
