5381  Economy / Speculation / Re: Corona Virus will Impact the price of Bitcoin ? on: January 26, 2020, 01:50:17 PM
No effect whatsoever, the price is still base on simply economic law of supply and demand. And regardless of any happenings around us, the price is not going to be impacted by this.

Let's put thing into perspective, what is the main reason the price is going to be affected??? None. So let put this discussion into rest, because as crypto investors, we don't think that that it will have significant impact positive or negative.
5382  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The 4years Cylce by Bob lukas on: January 26, 2020, 12:51:08 PM
I don't listen to those who claim to be YouTube analysts because most of them want to profit from selling these ads or marketing counterfeit currencies.
Investing in Bitcoin in the long term is very profitable even if no strategy is followed.
If you are a bad luck who has invested an amount of money every month since 2017, "the worst losses", you can still make some profits by the end of the year. So you are the winner so far.

Exactly, so far I haven't heard or seen some Youtube analysts who doesn't want to take profit. So you will clearly see behind that they have all the reasons to sell their analyst in whichever form they want.

Bitcoin market is still fairly young, it's hard to conclude that the four year cycle works except that we have halving every 4 years obviously. And there is where it get's tricky, since the market is still on its infancy, can we clearly say that it is going to be the pattern in the next four years?
5383  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do they accept bitcoin in your country embassy? on: January 26, 2020, 12:11:29 PM
We have seen a lot of things we can use bitcoin for.like paying of bills, trading I learnt some organizations accept bitcoin not in countries like China.. etc please do they accept Bitcoin at you country traveling embassy?

Not that I'm aware of, and I also doubt that government agencies such as embassy will readily accept BTC as payment.

Except maybe:

5384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: January 26, 2020, 11:01:54 AM
With just 2-3 seasons more of 20+ ppg dude would pass Kareem as well, from all the looks of it unless something major happens like a big bad injury,
Lebron still has the game, he will surely play a lot of seasons with the Lakers now that the Lakers has become a playoff contender.
Also, his style of play has been different now, he wasn't as aggressive as before, he master his passing ability so that means he will not be so prone to injury.

Yeah, he still have the speed of a young guy. Maybe those oranges that he secretly eats during game time is the secret.  Grin
When he surpasses MJ's scores I didn't doubt that he could do more.
Even with his large size he ain't that much of a prone to bad injuries.
I guess he really takes care of himself and with proper training of everything specially when you are jumping so high that it almost look like there is a ladder.  Grin

We will be seeing more records being broken.

He is genetically gifted, I mean the genes he got from his father, (who is a basketball player) is showing. Because as you have said, even at this age, he can still run with the young players, chase down blocks, and can still give us highlight reels every game.

Plus there is an advancement of sports science and medicine, which really help him recover very quick. And from the way he plays, we can still like 3 or 4 years in front of him.
5385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Garcia vs Redkach on: January 26, 2020, 05:46:04 AM
As others have said, it was a complete domination from Danny Garcia. Redkach has nothing to offer, I have it Garcia winning 11 rounds out of 12. But the official judges scorecard are:

Judge Tony Paolillo scored 10 rounds for Garcia (118-110), while judges Glenn Feldman and Don Trella scored (117-111).

https://www.boxingscene.com/danny-garcia-dominates-ivan-redkach-results--146213

So there's no upset whatsoever, Who is D. Garcia fighting next? Pacquiao or Spence?

Both of them are stylistically good for D. Garcia, but I'm sure majority of us wanted to see him testing against the legendary Manny Pacquiao. There have been talks when Pacquiao won against Thurman, so maybe PBC are going to set this one up for a huge payday for D. Garcia.
5386  Economy / Economics / Re: Halving is approacing: HOLD YOUR BITCOINS AND NEVER SELL THEM (118 days left) on: January 25, 2020, 12:43:11 PM
of course, I'm not going to sell them, we are in the best time of accumulation period, I am trying to get as much as could on the best coin to hodl I even take a loan for this coming halving, its not a bank loan but a loan from a friend with very minimum interest, I'm confident that the profit I'll get is higher than my interest.

The best accumulation period is 2018-2019 in my opinion.

Bitcoin today is quite expensive at $8k, although you can still invest on it, but the best price is around $3k-$6k. So we don't know if that opportunity will present itself again. As the price seems to be slowly peaking at $9k and we might see 5 digits again maybe next month.

As far as halving, I'm sure that there will be a lot of holders, not willing to sell and will wait till after the halving and see how their portfolio are going to make them profits. We're all waiting for another bullrun and all time high, and this is possible after weeks and months of the halving, so better be a HOLDer.
5387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Read whitepaper, could you write a whitepaper in the future? on: January 25, 2020, 12:02:49 PM
I have a theory, if I can read cryptocurrency white papers, maybe in the long run I will be able to write a white paper, because by reading how they are initially written, their structure, technical explanations up to a point of view, and all the elements that a white paper has, I should be able to have notions to write one, what do you think?

Of course, everyone here has the capability to write a whitepaper. However, if you are not technically inclined, I doubt that you can write a good one. It will be interesting though, if you have read lots of them, so maybe you can learn a thing or two.

But make no mistakes about it, don't copy and paste whitepaper because sooner or later some investigators are going to find it out. It's better to take inspiration from them or you can even cite them in the foot note.
5388  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: is it legal to trade bitcoins in india? on: January 25, 2020, 11:10:21 AM
So this is the latest:

https://worldpublicityblog.com/index.php/2020/01/23/india-central-bank-says-it-hasnt-banned-crypto/

So it looks like India's Central Bank hasn't ban it after all. However, it is going to be a long battle for our crypto enthusiast in India, because for me the government is still very hard on bitcoin. I can only one reason that is they can't really get control over it. So let's see how everything will turn out.
5389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Cash A Better Crypto To Invest? on: January 25, 2020, 10:42:36 AM
Well!! Bitcoin cash is one of the most popular crypto in the cryptocurrency market, as a lot of experts have been predicted on bitcoin cash.

According to Several experts bitcoin cash price prediction the price will go up in 2020 and investing in bitcoin cash gives a better return on investment.

What's your take on this?

Well everyone has its own thoughts on crypto's, including bitcoin cash. But you have to remember that this is just another altcoin and shouldn't be compare to the real BTC. And the thing is, the people behind this project are very shady, and that makes this coins very questionable.

And unless you are a type of investors looking for a pump-and-dump coin then definitely, BCH is for you. But for holding long term I still prefer BTC over any other wannabe there, just saying.
5390  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-01-15] BTC Dev Since 2012, Tamas Blummer Dies After 3Y Battle With Cancer on: January 25, 2020, 09:13:19 AM
Good riddance.

Personally, I haven't heard about Tamas, thanks to the OP though, but it doesn't mean that he will be forgotten. Just by reader his github contributions, he truly spends lots of his time with bitcoin. Just a shame that people like him lost their battle against cancer. Rest in Peace my man.
5391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: January end , can BTCtouch 9k? on: January 21, 2020, 10:40:51 PM
Well we already touch that number, but obviously the next big target on the whale is $10k.

Although we did see some minor corrections already, but at $8600-$8700 BTC is really looking very good. And unless there's some FUD, the price will hold on that and might try a second time to hit $9k-$9200. We still more than a week to accomplish things here, I wouldn't be surprised if the price will touch $9k again, just a matter of time and continue our bull run.
5392  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin going beyond $14,000 before May, history repeating itself on: January 21, 2020, 10:09:17 PM
$14,000 before May would do very nicely but I’m sceptical. I think we’ll have to wait until post halving for this kind of price, maybe Q4 2020.
If we compare the previous price on the result after the next halving come (the first and second halving) they are all successfully rising up after the reward halving effectively happened. So, probably at that time (Q4 of this year) bitcoin price will raise up and repeat itself as what happens on those previous events.

But we can't predict this, theories and speculations were still going on and there is a negative and positive side discussion on it but the fact, no one knows. Let's wait on it and let the time will reveal the truth, at least we are ready and done accumulating.

But it probably will be a slower rise, and don't expect new all time highs this year. Could be a slow 2017 rise, or even slower.

Then we should wait for 2021 bull run then. I'm also a bit skeptical to see a dramatic rise this year. If people are thinking because of the halving then we need to reconsider that during 2016 halving, the price didn't just pump, it took a full year to finally see a bullish trend.

So 2020 will be a slow ascend, and then followed by bullish run in 2021 if history are going to repeat itself, just saying.
5393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs. Donald Cerrone [JAN 2020] Discussion on: January 21, 2020, 09:37:34 AM
Somehow my instagram is filled with posts that Cerrone lost this fight on purpose...
Saying that he didnt even wanted to fight that night and never act so passive in the fights.

It doesn't make any sense though, if Cerrone has deliberately took a dive on this fight. I mean what is he trying to achieved career wise.

If this is true, they maybe that's why we are seeing lot of respect coming from Conor?

Prior to the fight we've seen Conor like we haven't seen him promoting a fight, no trash talking, very respectful and cordial with his opponent, even a handshake.
5394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The future of bounty looks uncertain on: January 21, 2020, 08:20:14 AM
Scam projects are the reason why bounties and offering dies.
Both investor and bounty hunter got tired of being scammed so most of us decided to stop supporting and promoting them.
Since 2018 only few of the projects have been successful.

Also don't forget that we are still in the bear market, that's why bounties are somewhat dead at this point although it is continuing, it doesn't have the traction it had like in 2017. Lots of project in 2018-2019 has raised so much money, but still the price is way beyond their supposedly ICO price.

But we all know that bounties won't simply disappear in the forum as it is one effective way to gain traffic and exposure to investors. If someone thinks that bounty looks uncertain, then stop joining one and go on trading or something that will make you money here in crypto-space.
5395  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin hit 15K in 2020? on: January 21, 2020, 07:56:52 AM
Somewhat like we just give our shot this year and not be fooled by FUDs and fake news around coz it only gives us no direction but a losing one's. If we trust Bitcoin's capability, it ain't makes no sense to be dumb and hopeless.

We can always be bias depending on what we believe, if we trust bitcoin and we believe it's due for recovery and maybe a new ATH, then no matter bad news we will read and see, it won't affect our belief, we will continue to hold as we are so optimistic with the future.

Bitcoin just like in the past will never failed people who are trusting them by holding in tough times.

$15K is gonna be easy one hype starts soon,.. FUD and FOMO are both in existent but this time around, FOMO is gonna excel.

One key driver is FOMO, remember that last year, when the price hits 5 digit, people started to FOMO and push it to $13k. So the same thing could happen again, who knows. Although we have some correction after getting into the $9k psychological barrier, I'm sure we can make it again.

There is a strong support in $8600, and when whales started to play and manipulate the price to $9k, maybe we can see FOMO setting in again and pushing to $10k in the future, we will have to see.
5396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin moves like Gold? on: January 21, 2020, 07:10:01 AM
But according to this article: New data suggests Bitcoin and Gold Aren't Correlated As You Think.

So which one is which?  Smiley

There are a lot of parameters that we need to look at, and I don't think we can a single factors that we can link both of them, in terms of price movement.
5397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Digital Fiat Pairs on: January 21, 2020, 06:05:44 AM
How is anyone allowed to make their own USD (or any forms of fiat for that matter) of any currency?

Because this is a free market, so anyone can make their own coin/token here.

Is there a method for doing this?

You could do it yourself, or hire some experts to create it for you.

Couldn't i just create a ERC-20 token and mint myself 1B tokens and use that to buy up the coins in circulation if i wanted to?

How would you get it on exchanges or let people use it as a USD Pair?

It's more to that, you can create yes, but being a stable coin, you need to prove that you have enough 1:1 backing of it and not be running on fractional reserves.
5398  Economy / Speculation / Re: Return of the bull? on: January 19, 2020, 09:08:53 PM
I've read some TA is this community that predicts an $9+++ run and after that, the price will slowly go down and make a correction.

So I'm expecting the market to correct itself along the way this month of January and then started to make a run again and push to $9k and at least stay there and make it sustainable. This is how the market really works, mini bull run, follow by minor correction. Bulls are here no doubt about that. But it will be a hard fought with the bears. And as traders, you need to go with the flow and adjust your trading strategy based on the current sentiments.
5399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs. Donald Cerrone [JAN 2020] Discussion on: January 19, 2020, 08:27:01 PM
If Khabib loses to Ferguson and he will be the next title holder, will Conor still be interested to fight Khabib?
Or he will be more interested to get his belt back?

His been calling Khabib for a rematch as far as I can remember so probably he is still open for that fight.

Lots of options for Conor now because of his "impressive" win against Donald Cerrone. I'm sure Dana is very happy to see him winning, because as cash cow, he can still potentially set up Conor to whoever he wants and get tons of money out of it. So let's see how it goes, disappointed on how Cerrone performed though, he didn't offer anything and was simply steam roll by Conor.

its where dana get the big ppv profit. so i wouldn;t be surprise if they will push the pacquiao fight as well all for the money.

can't believe the cowboy just curl down before mcgregor. he haven't stepped on the  center yet. i was expecting him to duck and grab legs to take down since he already have watched kabib match. such a big disappointed. luckily i only bet TRX for this match.

And just imagine if you bought the tickets for this fight because you think that Cerrone has a chance against a deteriorating Conor. But it was over in an instant, how disappointing it is. But Dana White is small smiles because at the back of his mind, him and Conor can make big PPV numbers again. Let the Conor bandwagon continues.

The initial damage to Cerrone nose was the beginning (and ending) for him. He just curl there, no answer whatsoever.

5400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Waltonchain dumping their team's tokens? on: January 19, 2020, 07:55:49 PM
The only valid reason I can think of for the team to dump their own token is to take some to cover all the expenses they have incurred. Other than that, I don't see any, except of course to take profits for themselves.

If I'm a WTC holder, I will be pissed off of course. The market is still in the worst conditions, so that timing is really that bad. I'm sure that it will just make the price go down more and it will not be good for those bag holders who believed in this project, it's a bitch move, to be honest.
