541  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Dahilan ng pag galaw ng halaga ng Bitcoin on: July 18, 2018, 10:20:51 AM
nagiging sanhi din talaga yang supply and demand kase di naman unlimited ang bitcoin eh, so ganun talaga kapag madaming nag buy-buy magiging malaki talaga ang presyo nito sa market.
542  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: South Korean millennials are reeling from the Bitcoin bust on: July 12, 2018, 06:24:20 PM
If I would label Koreans maybe they were the last student enrolled to the crypto business or last to every country available to learnt about crypto, according to one of your news many koreans invested to specific coin when it is at its peak, so obsess to maintain such a luxurious life and an instant exit through day to day life that been told way back then to all of us. And when the market move to the wrong direction of the charts that where the story begin either mentally abusive to pathological problem it depends person to person country to country and mindset of a person.
543  Other / Meta / Re: language difficulties on: July 12, 2018, 10:44:17 AM
does it the right thing to judged someone who was so passionate about bitcoin and onto the forum?
I can judge who I want when I want and whatever way I want. How does that matter to you even if you are the one being judged? Or do you just feel bullyed when questioned about simple facts? Its obvious from your posts that your grasp of English is poor and that is why we have local boards. The forum does understand that people from different communities come here and to give them a place to chill there is the sections for local languages.

But seems like you are more interested in arguing with others than to seek the solution that has already been presented to you in this thread long back.

Quote
and personally you are the one decreasing the quality of your post since you were arguing with people who loved posting on a local board so to speak!  Wink
Personally, have you even seen the number of "Merits"  I have obtained leaving out the default 500merits after the merit system got introduced?

Someone needs to look at them-self in a mirror. Roll Eyes

why I do need to care if you leave your defaulted merit in the first place?

Lemme tell you a strory, once upon a time in a forum about Bitcoin when a lot of shitposter scattered all over the place mostly came from a local, there was a merit system been implemented through this people tend to post quality rather than posting nonsense to get the most promising activity to rank up.

Inside this story was you and me and everyone else in the forum a person begging for merit a person qualified to be merited through a good quality of post in which case was you, and a person who don't personally been affected by it just continue to be a member and so on.

Thanks for the references to the Fit to Talk English project. This seems to be read quite a lot, but activity is reduced. The real idea behind it was for non-English speakers to have a go at posting in English, and we would help them to tidy up their posts. This doesn't seem to be happening at the moment, and it may be due to my neglect. It may also be due to the fact that members don't feel that their English is good enough. So let me tell you a story.

When I was learning to drive, three of us booked a course on a skid pan. The car was an old Austin with bald tyres, and the surface was covered with wet lime. The first of us who went on to the pan spent all his time avoiding skidding, and he made a very good job of it. The instructor told him that he had wasted his time, as he was there to learn how to control skids, and not how to avoid them. I must admit that I was a bit mad, and I hit a lot of tyres and cones, but I learnt a lot about skid recovery. So what is the moral of this story? When you are posting on the English language boards here, you need to avoid skidding in your post - ie. you need to use reasonable, fluent English that your readers can understand. When you are on the Fit to Talk skid pan, then you can hit all the English tyres and traffic cones you like, and we don't care if your post goes into a spin - well as long as you are trying to be constructive. We'll help you to keep your posting in a straight line, and avoid hitting the mod barriers here. If you want to avoid leaving skid marks in your posts, you need to learn the controls, and how to handle the English language.

I shall not only leave a skid marks but rather make a good graffiti on the road when time comes.

No need to get hostile, you have a decent question and I believe the bottomline answer to your question(s) is that:

  • YES, you can speak English in local boards, however;
  • NO, you cannot speak other languages (aside from English) in boards other than local
I don't agree with above answers, it shouldn't allowed to post in English in local boards since other languages are not allowed in main boards. We don't want double standards.

There is no prohibition in the rules on this, but I believe that local forums can and should establish a rule. The rule that exists is regarding the prohibition to use google translate.

26. Local thread rules, if stated properly when the thread was started, specific enough and don't conflict with the forum rules, have to be followed.[e]

27. Using automated translation tools to post translated content in Local boards is not allowed.

As for the OP, it's sad that the quality of his writing in English has diminished over the time...  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

thank you so much being into my post recently, its good to know someone waiting for every thread and post i made your making my heart poignant though i'm so sorry if the quality of what your reading diminish over time i'm getting busier day to day for the past few weeks and i'm sorry for that.  Kiss

does it mean English language must be the prior to other? maybe if they didn't create local board at the first place we wouldn't tackle this topic.
546  Other / Meta / Re: language difficulties on: July 09, 2018, 07:41:47 AM
and on top of that if your reading twice someones incoherent not interested post really may not work out well for you!  Shocked
This ^^^ is part of the problem:  nuances of language get thrown in the trash when you don't know about them or how to use them.  Most of this post is pretty clear to me, but the bolded part isn't.  Are you being sarcastic?  Are you making a little joke?  How is reading a piece of shit post going to not work out well for me other than prompting me to slap my head in frustration?

It's more likely to work out worse for you if I were to put you on ignore.  I give out merits like candy when I get them, and you don't want to alienate someone like me--that's not a brag; that's reality for people who are looking to rank up.

most of your post is pretty clear to me but if you really loved to slap your faces having a conversation with me go on mate, the bolder line can't affect me in any way, i'm content to the rank of forum gave me, i'm not being sarcastic to brag some merit to give me a merit or two even if they're source of that said merit so to speak!

very well, as long as I can recall English was the second language I've been learnt so far not intensive but barely understandable not been knowing bitcointalk was the title of the site, does learning other language (not in particular) would make mother of all English jealous?
If English is not your primary language or you dont have a good grip on which is decent enough to make comprehensible posts then you should refrain from posting in the English boards and rather stick to your local boards. We have so many languages in the Local section and I hope you can find a new home there.

thank you for pointing out this to me, but how could say that my thread was seems encrypted although I didn't hide million of Bitcoins on my thread, better yet if you said my thread seems so incomprehensible.
what seoincorporation meant was that you are using a translator to read these posts and thus the decreased quality of posts that you make. I suggest you to stay on your Local boards like I said above.

does it the right thing to judged someone who was so passionate about bitcoin and onto the forum? and personally you are the one decreasing the quality of your post since you were arguing with people who loved posting on a local board so to speak!  Wink

My suggestion to OP is to utilize Jet Cash's site for practice, and I would encourage him not to practice here.  I had to read his post here twice and still don't quite understand what he means.  His English is not good, and people tend to learn who the garbage English posters are and either put them on ignore or just skip right over their posts

Most people here don't write posts full of interesting things, and if you add an incoherent writing style on top of that, it's not going to work out well.

and on top of that if your reading twice someones incoherent not interested post really may not work out well for you!  Shocked

I think you should focus on improving your English first.

, his thread is so badly written that it seems "encrypted"

555  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Other uses of blockchain technology? on: July 06, 2018, 04:42:04 PM
From my own understanding , blockchain is used to support cryptocurrencies and verify  transactions made from cryptocurrencies but what are other uses for blockchain technology besides crypto?

your understanding was quite good, regard being new in the forum totally your understanding almost perfect perhaps because of your own study in the crypto but blockchain was only supporting transaction only with bitcoin other crypto have their own blockchain some based on ether blockchain in short alt coin.
557  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Old Community on: July 01, 2018, 08:59:39 AM
Oo malaking kasagutan ung merit para sa mga quality and topics na naibibigay sa member pag may contribution talaga silang nagawa sa forum like information and other things na nakak tulong talaga sa community sana mag patuloy ng ganito ang forum sa Philippines board.
558  Local / Pamilihan / Re: 3 Crypto Companies sa Pilipinas na dapat mong malaman on: July 01, 2018, 08:42:27 AM

559  Economy / Auctions / Re: Sr. Member account on: June 28, 2018, 07:15:56 AM
I got one Sr. Member account from a defaulted loan, it's been a couple of years since the loan was defaulted, I gave the acc to a couple of friends to use but after a while they stopped using it and gave it back to me.

I don't have any use for it, so I guess I'll auction it in order to break even.

It's a Sr. Member account, registered in 2012, I believe it has a lot of potential activity, and since all the potential activity calculators are down, I don't know how much exactly he has, but I'm pretty certain he is a potential Hero Member (with activity)

No default trust feedback at all.
In untrusted feedback there's a couple of positive feedbacks but not anything special.

I have control over the staked address under the account and will give the account address to you.

I will not sell to people with a red tag.

Auction end: June 16th 2:00 AM bitcointalk forum time
Starting bid: 0.08BTC
Minimum bid increment: 0.005BTC

If you still have this and are looking to sell I will buy but only if you  drop the price.  The price you have listed for only a senior ranked account is very high compared other dealers.

as stated and shall comprise to get, was the account for sale to neg trust? hope not will happen as it is prolong to continue malicious activity of the buyer thus may result in a scam accusation one day.
560  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's your plan? on: June 28, 2018, 06:34:58 AM
i will certainly not buy bitcoin up until it reach down 300$plus per bit, and if get lucky i would use some of it to pursue a degree and the rest stock for future ideas business, bill, family, and all other syntax to human responsibility.
