541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ICO Reviewing Community Site on: September 07, 2017, 09:56:46 AM
Good day to everyone, I hope this does not come off as an add as I put a lot of effort in this site and its completely free and used as a tool to help you guys to invest.
I have created an ICO reviewing site where you can rate, comment, favourite and discuss upcoming ICO's. The idea of me creating this site is because I always have trouble finding potential upcoming projects to invest in.
With a community that would keep various ICO's in order and rate them + exchange information, I do think we would all get a clearer picture on potential upcoming ICO's.
TRANSPARENCY is what I want on this site, meaning that if there are any red flags on specific projects (team members not presenting them selves, misleading information, etc,..) the projects won't be accepted and will be deleted ASAP.
To help grow the community you guys can go ahead and ADD ICO's. Will review it in admin before publishing on site. (great way to help the community with great potential new ICO's).
Will also do various interviews (one already did this week, another one coming up) with potential ICO's that have a great vision but due to the lack of funding they aren't presented on sites like coinschedule etc,.. where for an add startups need to pay more than a bitcoin (we're doing all this to support startups that seem to have potential but really can't get exposure on other sites due to their high promotional prices).
The idea of the site is to create a community, where we want to find potential ICO's and discuss them, so we can together achieve our next great investment.

I'm happy for any feedback about this, also if you have an ICO you'd like to add, we would really love for you to do that!

Twitter: https://twitter.com/ICOReviewit
Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/icoreview.it/
If you subscribe to newsletter we will notify you about new interviews and video updates coming up.

Well, good luck with that!

Who will be the community? Unknown users or some from bitcointalk? Who will judge what is good, what is scam? Who give the votes? It could become a very manipulative thing out of that. I hope your "community" will not get spammed by scammers voting for their scam icos and your site will become part of promoting scam icos... There is a lot of responsibility involved in that, I hope you are aware of that!"

The idea is good but as said, watch out!

P.s: I dont want to discourage you but as said big responsibility comes with it!

Now I try to manage my emotion while trading, try my best not to do panic sell nor panic buy
For a very beginner like me, it's better to gain profit even the smallest than losing money  Lips sealed

Sure! Start slow, rise and make steady profit  Wink

Good Luck!

very useful tips. thank you for posting you share.
but for me this is still less because it is important for beginners to teach how to read candle charts. I also still do not understand how to read the right.

Thank you!

I hope I got your question right, but reading the charts is looking in historical ups and downs per day, weeks or month. It will show you trend lines and moving averages. Charts can give you a hint about stability, dump and pump cycles and the overall growth of the coin in the selected period. (what is not a full historical overview rather a time framed window).

Example: A coin starts today with 0.00023454 and will hit 0.00023898 at the end of the day. If you select the daily chart, it will show you how the value razed or felt per hours of the chosen day.

Some beginner tips:

1. Regularly read Bitcointalk forum
2. Check coinmarketcap.com for current real coin values
3. Check coinmarketcap.com history of coin you are interested in
4. Check the ANN thread of the coin on Bitcointalk
5. Many coins have their own blogs/ forums you need to follow to be up to date
6. At start choose coins that are already established and stable
7. Make yourself a portfolio of 3 - 5 coins for start
8. Do not jump in ongoing coin pumps, you never know when it will dump.
9. Make yourself a strategy for coins you will long term invest and maybe 2 gamble coins that are more risky but offer higher profit.
10. I recommend starting with Bittrex
11. Do not instantly sell your coins if they dumb instantly for no obvious reason ( research why)
12. At the beginning its better to aim for small profits like 5% - 10% +
13. Always keep some BTC to react when needed (buy)
14. Start slowly, take your time. 2 month in research and observation is recommended.
15. Always reinvest a share of your profit in your favorite coins and use a share of profit to gamble
16. Do not jump instant in new coins with big investment. If it looks promising to you start low and follow the progress.
17. If you advance and make good experience you could start to invest in icos, but watch out lots of scam around.

Add:

18. Never be emotional in your trading. Be objective! (thx to @Investor for the tip)
19 I also advice that when you already developed a good trading strategy, you stick into it and keep your discipline  (thx to bamboylee for this tip)

Good luck!

Would appreciate to add more tips to the list to give some valued info to beginners!

Good job on posting these tips sir. This is very effective if you just hold a few altcoins but if I am holding more than 20 coin then this might be too much time consuming.

Thank you!

Well this is for beginners!

Nice list of tips especially for beginners. I also advice that when you already developed a good trading strategy, you stick into it and keep your discipline. Some traders lose their discipline when they are already having lots of profits. Remember that discipline and self control brings you profit in this business.

with good discipline and self-control will certainly bring a good effect on trading transactions that will be done so as to provide an analysis of good price movements.

Price analyses are major to do, I agree.
546  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to start an successful ico on: September 07, 2017, 04:56:58 AM
not only show the white paper and the marketing,  try to get some test of the service before launching so the investors got a real idea of what the ico will do in the real world.

It is a plus to have a service already running, but unfortunately this depends on the project. Many complex and time intensive projects are not able to work 1 - 2 years upfront fund everything out of own pocket to provide a functional solution and sometimes its also not very smart to give too much info to avoiding ideas or technologies to be stolen. Sometimes Its not that easy, tho.

That said, you need to divide between "easy" and "complex" projects. Like, is it a clone of something with small changes, something actually simple or something totally unique and complex. Unfortunately this opens the doors for scams, pretending something unique just make a complex whitepaper but at the end many of them just want to get an alt coin running, be traded and many times there is no real value behind the coin and never will be.

It can be said that it is understandable that "real" & "honest" complex projects (but not to be generalized) needs upfront funds and time to be established.

But it has a bitter taste of course and investors needs to think twice.

Many coins today get released in 3 - 4 weeks. Post white paper, create the coin, promote and run ico (what is probably the most time intensive and expensive thing in such projects) and list it on creepy exchanges.

good and reliable plan for people
money to start ICO
hardworkers who mentain the campaign or what ever you wil do activities
make sure your not a SCAM of course
be active to satisfy the worker.. good boss to the worker means good quality of work
thats it.. success will follow Wink

Ya you need definitely a good team including your so called "handworkers" for promotions and other activities... I m thinking to add that to the list

still can't solve number 11 and 18. i always panic every coins that i bought dumped. and then cutloss, every after cutloss that coin rise again. happened all the time, maybe anyone know how to solve that problem ? maybe i should therapy ?

For point 11 I handle it like... CRAP... telling myself to calm down accept the loss... BUT I usually hold ( as a loss in mind) it if I cannot find evidence for the dumb. In 5/10 situations the coins rise after... but its a sort of gambling, yes just I cleared my mind and accept the loss upfront...

^^^ If you only hold 2 or 3 coins it can be tricky, tho... 30% of your investment in that coin and its dumping... ofc every 1 will get wet feeds... just a question of time...

I usually accept the loss upfront and give it a time to recover in my head :-)  I had one example with RDD lately... It dumped a lot and I had some good amount of money in it... I said ok this is lost...1 week...2 weeks... 3 weeks.... I was daily on their almost dead forum :-), but things started to move so I could sell it with a profit... but it was close to bigger loss if I would have dumped it...

^^^^ Hope that helps, somehow :-))))

Glad you like it!
551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to deal with the big amount of possible upcoming scam ico's in future? on: September 06, 2017, 12:29:22 PM
Yes having a registered company as a project is a big plus! There are many projects out there where hole team is anonymous, so its hard to take big risk by such projects.

Great job, bro, for making this very useful tips list for beginners. Newbies will find this a guiding list for them to start their journey in cryptocurrencies. If I may add though, I would say: never be emotional in your trading. Be objective. Another one, do not be afraid nor disappointed when your coin is going down, it will bounce back definitely.

Thx for the participation!

I added one of your tips!
553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to start trading alt coins? Beginner Tips! on: September 06, 2017, 09:40:28 AM
start off by buying some ark now, still very low marketcap. ark should be a top 5 or top 2 soon, well, after bitcoin of course. just ignore other scam craps with so much hypes.

Please do not post any specif coin promotions/ recommendations in this threat! "This is a beginner how to" THX!
554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to start trading alt coins on: September 06, 2017, 09:14:42 AM
OP, I agree with most of your posts but I believe a good advice for a beginner will also be to watch videos about coins on youtube from time to time. And I really don't get your #15 advice. I think recommending a newbie to gamble with some of the earned money is a rather bad advice. Moreover, you talk about investing the profit one made.. I believe some profit has to be withdrawn, for otherwise there's no profit at all.
I like low cap undervalued coins too. But you have to buy them less than overs. For example my basic entry stake is 5% of my deposit. So in low cap high risked coins I should invest only 2.5%. I like the expression that you can lose only 100%, but the gain can be much more - it works)
I think low cap coins are just too risky for one to invest in them, you know. They can be pumped and dumped to easily by their creators. It's better to invest in big cap coins, they are generally more stable.

1. "Always reinvest a share of your profit" you might have read over this....
2. With gambling I do not refer to "dice games and such", gambling = invest in coins that are more risky...

Other, thank you for your participation to this topic!

556  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to start trading alt coins on: September 06, 2017, 06:33:29 AM
You mean there is a chance that the coin could die if no "real value" is behind the coin?
Yes that could be. If marketcap of that coin doesn't increasing or keep dropping from time to time, it will be delisted from market/exchange site which resulted you lose your investment because it doesn't has any value again. Example : DIEM coin

I do have the feeling that smaller cap sometimes attract buy-and-hold investors more than the larg cap coins. Whats your thought?

Agree, I also do it like that just my % are a bit different, But same strategy and till now it works (most of the time :-))

Nice input. Most of your advice is true and these can be easily undertand by begginers.

"the market cap should not be below $10.000.000"  Why not? I do have some coins with cap 2.5 mio and I cannot complain. Can you elaborate why you aim for 10 mio cap?
What he meant might be because most of coins which have small market cap ($10 million) will be dead and turned to shitcoin (price dropped to 1 satoshi) and people don't trade that coin again.

You mean there is a chance that the coin could die if no "real value" is behind the coin?
559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to start trading alt coins on: September 06, 2017, 06:04:51 AM
I agree with your points. You should especially look for forum threads in the announcement section that have more views than the others. This means that these threads attract more attention then the others. Here you can find some of the most promising altcoins. Then try to find out which of them are still undervalued (relatively low market cap, not in the top 20 of coinmarketcap but on the other side, the market cap should not be below $10.000.000, there should be already some kind of a value). Make sure that they have a strong community and active developers with a plan for the future.

Thx for the input!

1 question:
