Man vpn team needs an English correspondent to keep things more interesting over here.
Time to go back to learning mandarin and teaching myself writing in Chinese.

Anybody know why VNL is "disabled" at bittrex ?
Asked the same thing on the other thread. Maybe the new wallet is about to get released.

|

Any update as to why trading on bittrex is down?

What is the best hardware to mine vnl?

New "weight" wallet, new ui and ... Nice, but what exactly am I looking at?

Other than bit coin I'd say monero will be crowned as the best alt soon. I have been quietly hoarding and mining for a while now.

coin of the year
Wait until they released the decentralized coin exchange in the wallet to say that :p If they do that and then make a decentralized marketplace to buy and sell Goods.... I will make a trophy

Out of curiosity, and mostly because I'm to lazy to look it up on my own. What are the possible problems/dangers with running a VPN?
And is there any good English translations describing the benefits of using a VPN service through the bit net client..
I see that the main website gives a quick how to for setting one up, but it doesn't explain the benefits of why we should.
in many part of the world, gov sometimes block access to certain website (ie : porn, political, etc). for them vpn or webproxy are the solution. the danger... if the client use vpn to hack or commit crime maybe ? VPN is just a tool! It just depends on the ppl who are using it! I hope the government wouldn't ban it if it gets popular one day! But I have to say VPN is great. but this tool use your IP... surely no problem if some guy "borrow" ur ip to read reddit or some other sites... but yes VPN is cool... So setting up a vpn through bit net doesn't help to obfuscate the ip of the server?

It looks like there is an enormous amount of potential. I have worked with industrial and building automation software most of my career and my wife is a software engineer also. I think the question is if VPNcoin can develop applications and find a market, or if the ideas or just copied for blockchain software projects by firms like IBM or Goldman Sachs ect. It might be best for developers and investors if a company just tried to take over VPNcoin Bitnet.
I have a feeling that this tech has no purpose in the western world but if it can pierce the dragon curtain..... well it could quickly surpass all other altcoins

OK so I downloaded the client and checked it out.
I'm very impressed by all the features.
Though trying to figure out how the features work seems a little complicated.
Bought some anyways, interested to see where this goes.

I am intrigued..
I'll try downloading the wallet when I get home.

Further price decline is to be expected.
Status: Sold.
If the price stays below 300 for another month I will agree with you, atm it still looks like we are consolidating for a solid push over 300

We are approaching the last stage of cup & handle formation.
Bear market is over.
I thought we needed to break 305 first

Halving will not have any effect on price. There will be 3/4 of all coins in rotation already. It will only have effect on difficulty...
a maximum of 1800 coins will be dumped only per day in comparison with 3600 of today, which is 500k+ less to absorb, how is this not significant? people seem to think that the halving will reduce sell pressure from mining farms, even though theres evidence to suggest that a lot of these mining farms that are actual businesses that dont sell bitcoin (e.g. bitfury, 21inc) i think nothing will happen.
if you guys want the price to increase, stop trading bitcoin on shit websites.
Can't wait for Gemini. as a far as i know it won't be something special, just a regular exchange, maybe with more regulation and i hope bigger leverage, that's it, i'm not expecting a big jump in the price because of this Not thinking about a price jump, I'm just excited to trade on a very public/highly regulated exchange.. I hate sending fiat to the exchanges as they are.

So what is the concensus now?
Is this a consolidation followed by renewed shorting and a further bear market, is it consolidation moving into renewed interest and the beginning of a push to new ath, or is it just business as usual with continued oscillation around 250-300?
I am thinking this is the beginning of accumulation leading into the next halving... as the supply runs dry we will begin to see the price become temporarily parabolic again.

But did they buy any bitcoins? If I was in Greece, I would take my money from the bank and turn the extra money into btc. I wonder how many actually did this? Were you able to find numbers on this?
There is a big step from browsing it to actually owning some, but think about it, how much did it took for you from the first time you google bitcoin to the first time you actually bought some and used it? it takes time. Browsing bitcoin and researching is the seed that gets things started. I heard about it during the Cyprus fiasco. ... took me a month to commit.
