This is not the first time if you have followed the Bitsum project since its beginning. Online wallet off sometimes, then on again, pools work then die and start again. Personally, I think this one is very normal cycle in crypto sphere. Technical issues occur and gone away. Please give Bitsum developers more time, we will see good things.
if you got airdrops from Stellar some years ago, extremely easy to got them at that point, you actually own tons of fiats. What happened, most of receivers sold their coins immediately or several weeks/ months later, to get very little fiats.

Simply to say, you should not never give your coins to anyone, even Ultima devs. I don't think someone naively give their coins away like this. This is basic rule in the crypto-world. So let accept your foolish mistake and please don't blame to anyone else.
I don't have enough coins to set Ultima masternode up, so I don't care about its guideline.

In a word, you have to be responsible for what you did, not Ultima team. And please don't try spreading FUDs around the topic (I say this because I am not sure what you said are true).

Honestly, most of newbies/ newcomers of the forum joined the forum recently (particularly since the second half of 2017) tend to focus mainly on getting money through signature campaigns, bounties, airdrops.
They simply want to get money, don't spend a couple of seconds (I would like to emphasize, seconds, not minutes or hours) to think about how they can contribute to the forum and help other users. Consequently, they have almost not learned many knowledgeable things about crypto and the forum structures, most interesing, serious boards. I hope that they might change a bit over time, gradually, in order to contribute more.

Agree! They should limit their times spent on alt child boards, and turn to Meta, Beginner & help, Bitcoin Technical Support, etc. instead (serious and useful boards).

Totally agree with you, cryptonit. Smart investors know what they should do in such a down-trend market, waiting for panic sells, then buying more at low, hodl tie and wait for a while to take profits when the whole market turns to upward-trend.
I am not whales, but I like them because I can take advantage of their low movements (due to their big capital and really big buy orders). I can move faster than whales in both buying and selling coins.

To be honest, this is simply another shit topic on merit issue (I hate to say this but it actually is non-sense topic).
Basically, you (topic author) should aware that merit system was created to control spammers to rank up, and to reduce spamming threads/ topics in the forum (why is that? Because over time when users realize that they get nothing from publishing shits, they might stop). Then, you will obviously realize another fact that creating such a topic is the same as posting shitty threads.
Think about it, bro.

I hate to say this but it's extremely hard to earn more merits for merit beggars when users in the forum become more familiar with new rank requirements and mechanism of merit system; and when sMerits become more and more scarce over time.
Over the next few months, only real constructive users can get merits for their high quality threads, and vice versa for merit beggars.
Let's be responsible for yourself and for the forum before deciding to send your sMerits away. Only send them to deserved threads.
