541  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin to trigger central bank collapse on: December 25, 2020, 05:39:40 AM
Central banks will stay there as long as we have a fiat money system so banks are going to collapse when people stopped using them but it is actually not possible to happen or at least in this century because almost everyone is taking loans for their needs that is how fiat money got the significance level into everyone's life and we didn't evolve from the loan culture yet which will put the central bank at the top for sure.
542  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who are the 1% of traders who earn with trading? on: December 24, 2020, 05:59:00 PM
Snip~~

Yes, that's the reality. But why exactly that guy or girl would be benefiting on the expense of others for a long time, instead of another person?

Because they have more patience, right decisions whike trading, controlling their emotions better than others simply they are trading better than what most people performing so they are making more out of their efforts than others.

Saini and Siraj are also good bowlers since they are having better Ranji records compared to Nattu but already Natrajan proved his effectiveness in that pitch conditions then why still he is not into their consideration is the big question. It's not okay to accept RCB quota into the International career. Cheesy

First of all, India should have a proper India A team, which will tour countries such as Australia, South Africa, New Zealand or England at least two times a year. BCCI can include potential national team pickups such as Siraj, Saini and Natarajan in this team. Let them play against Australia A or England A, and prove their potential. It will be more justifiable than picking these players directly from the IPL and pushing them to the test squad.
As per the statements made by the selectors in the past they simply don't consider IPL performances to consider while picking team India squad but they actually consider IPL performances as the only criteria to get selected. So they are basically contrary to their action so we can't expect them to do such things because BCCI is interested in money-making than winning international trophies in the recent years.
544  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who are the 1% of traders who earn with trading? on: December 24, 2020, 03:27:29 PM
There has been many research papers, and the statistics are mostly pretty sad:
•   100% of people start trading with the hope of getting rich
•   80% of all traders quit within the first two years
•   Among all traders, nearly 40% trade for only 1 month
•   Within 3 years, only 13% continue to trade
•   After 5 years, only 7% remain trading
•   The average individual investor underperforms a market index by 1.5% per year
•   Active traders underperform market by 6.5% annually
•   Only 1.6% of traders remain profitable net of fees in the long-run

Who are in your opinion these ∼1% of traders? Why they are able to remain profitable? Are you sure you are one of them, if you include taxes, fees, etc.? Wink

If you ask why then the answer is profits made by a trader comes from the loss of another trader so if someone is in profitable for ling run means many traders helped him to make money with their losses so the one remain long while all other left in the meanwhile condition.

BCCI just posted this in twitter so its safe to say that there would be no #ucking Natarajan in the playing XI. Siraj/Saini going to replace injured Shami.

https://twitter.com/BCCI/status/1342045902203047937

Maybe it is a good step. Let them include Saini and Siraj. Once they get hammered all around the park by the Australian batsmen, these two will end up like Kedar Jadhav and more deserving bowlers will get the chance. The Kohli/Shastri duo is acting like a mafia now, by denying opportunity to deserving players and picking their sidekicks for the playing XI.
Saini and Siraj are also good bowlers since they are having better Ranji records compared to Nattu but already Natrajan proved his effectiveness in that pitch conditions then why still he is not into their consideration is the big question. It's not okay to accept RCB quota into the International career. Cheesy
546  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 24, 2020, 06:59:23 AM
Even i prefer to see Natarajan since Shami is injured and India does not have a good left hand seam bowler and he is a good choice.

Yes.. a left-arm seamer adds more variety to the attack. Shami, Saini, Siraj.etc are all right-arm pacers and they bowl at 85-90mph, with very little seam movement. Natarajan bowls at a slightly slower pace, and is able to get a lot of seam movement when compared to the others. But then Saini and Siraj are preferred, because they play for the same IPL franchise as Virat Kohli. IMO, Siraj's inclusion to the test squad can be solely attributed to this.
Since Virat Kohli is also going to miss the remaining matches still do you think that his preferred candidates will be given more priority? Saini is okay for the replacement but not sure about Siraj because he is not consistent with his bowling which can turn the total bowling unit into chaos even with small miss in the accuracy.
547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP - The Biggest Scam in Digital Currency History on: December 23, 2020, 07:37:46 PM
Centralized means should not be trusted with our money, even though XRP is still standing I don't think there are people who are interested in holding that coin which can be realized with the current price even when the crypto market is in a bullish state for a very long time with its ATH.
548  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Have correct recovery mnemonic but cannot authorize via email on: December 23, 2020, 06:58:10 PM
The pain of using such wallets can be realized only when we are getting into trouble, even I had the same email login issues but I know my login credentials and wallet ID so I entered into the website version by entering wallet ID and password which doesn't need authorization I guess.

I am not sure is possible to import your address into another wallet like electrum with 21-word recovery seed!
549  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 23, 2020, 04:40:11 PM

But talking about 3rd pacer it's a difficult choice to make. Problem is that Test bowling is different from other formats. You just can't go on to bowl Yorkers or bouncers and get away. The most important thing is to move the ball Saini is better than Natrajan in that whereas Shami is much better than both in them. So i feel Shami should remain intact in the team.
No matter how good a bowler is in the short format his patience level will be tested for sure in the long format because they need to face a different situations even they need to bowl for the entire day and go wicketless which will definitely affect the confidence level. But we shouln't go to that much level for now just look at their capabilities and hope for the best is the smart option so in my opinion, choosing Natarajan is the better choice because he is having the ability to destroy the opponent batting lineup which already proved by his performance in the short format in the same conditions as well.
550  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 20, 2020, 05:50:33 PM
This news came up just now:

https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/sports/cricket/india-in-australia/india-vs-australia-shubman-gill-kl-rahul-rishabh-pant-get-ready-for-boxing-day-test-wriddhiman-saha-prithvi-shaw-set-to-be-benched/articleshow/79823981.cms

Wriddhiman Saha and Prithvi Shaw are likely to be dropped for the second match, and they will be replaced in the playing XI by Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant. I am OK with Gill being included in the playing XI, but the decision to drop Saha after just one match is perplexing. Rishabh Pant is a promising young player, but he hasn't proved himself in the longer format. Also there are rumors that Mohammed Siraj will be replacing injured pacer Mohammad Shami.
We will see some big changes in the Indian team in the next match. I hope the new players can prove themselves well. At least they will try their best to play well. All the young players in India are talented enough. But the main thing is that their opponent is the giant Australia. Australia is already a Test specialist team. At home they become more irresistible against any Asian team. I look forward to seeing how India performs in the next Test with the new team.
lot of young talents available in India but longer format is much more testing than shorter format, even in the first innings India was the better team but they played without an fightback attitude once wicket started to fell in the second innings which maybe stopped if someone experienced and also got talent to hold the wickets by allowing more balls to the keeper.
551  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New KYC rules for crypto wallets on: December 20, 2020, 04:39:02 PM
I find it hilarious that they actually proposing to add KYC verification rule to a "Crypto" wallet.

The question in that case would be why use crypto if you're going to give out your personal documents anyway? other than maybe to gain some profit from holding or trading crypto...

Any wallet that implements such a thing as a mandatory rule will have close to no future, at least on a global level.

Its not wallet's choice, if the government implement it then wallet services from these country has to implement it or else they need to move to the different origin where such a rule doesn't exist. But the important fact is adding such a rule is not going to make any big change from the current condition. I think almost every exchanges implemented KYC for US-based customers so already they got data and people also willing to give it out to take the advantage of cryptos.

Is the Electrum wallet really one of the best recommendation for bitcoin newbie ?
Tell me what is the reason. Currently I am still using an android phone for daily need and browsing this bitcoin forum.
For android as well you can use the electrum wallet which is available on smartphone operating systems as well but it is only for bitcoin so for holding multiple cryptocurrencies in android there are some reputed wallet like Coinomi and Trust wallet which are best compared to others still not better like electrum.
554  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 20, 2020, 01:01:09 PM
News coming in that Shami is ruled out from complete tour due to fracture. This is big blow for bowling camp, may be Siraj should replace him. Can Natarajan make his debut? Would be interesting if he gets the chance despite not playing any warm up games, surprise factor?
It is really unfortunate for India that Mohammed Shami will miss the rest of the series, i would like to see Natarajan making his debut and would like to see how he can perform in pitches like this and with his stump to stump line will be challenging. India needs to step up their batting and i hope they will replace Shaw and give Gill the opportunity. With Kohli leaving the series and Shami injured things are not that great for the team.
Exactly, India need to move their batting line up from skills to experience which is lacking in the top of the order. Having one young along with experienced one can be a good decision but lot of new players in a condition like this will going to get backfire even when you reached comfortable position earlier. Will there be any new players get added to the team due to the injuries?
555  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 20, 2020, 07:49:59 AM
Is 36 runs the lowest total in the test for India only or this is now the lowest total ever in the test history ?  I don't think any team can make less than 36 runs in test match innings  Huh
No, this is not the lowest score in test cricket, still India is at 7th in that list

But look at the years when those scores were scored so we can consider this as the worst test score of modern-day cricket by any team.
556  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New KYC rules for crypto wallets on: December 19, 2020, 08:31:07 PM
Basically, those who access their funds via exchanges are going to get affected by this, already there some threads created regarding this when a tweet from a famous person related to cryptocurrency. But no one is going to affect if they are having their funds in electrum like wallets and move it to another non-custodial wallet on their own or to someone. The effect on the prices can't be predicted by now itself when such a rule gets implemented but this is only going to affect people from the US where there are actually strict KYC policies exists.
557  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't be greedy at this time. on: December 19, 2020, 07:01:36 PM
I'm saying for them they are newbie in trading platform. Don't be greedy. You see it that coin is going to pump and pump and you Think you should buy this coin.. Firstly Don't do it. And at this time all coin is pump so do not do it.
When i was newbie, i did the same mistake so I'm suggest it all newbies. If, you are want to take profit from trading.
Learn about trading. Learn about take profit, stop loss and
Learn about fundamental analyst.
Sometimes being greedy can make you some profits as well like if you see a small green bump so you wanted to buy Bitcoin even in next few hours there will be continuous green candle in the chart. I won't say this as proper trading strategy still it may work sometimes depends on how lucky you are.

Once you want to become a trader it is important to learn fundamental analysis as well as basic technical analysis which is the only thing going to be involved in you own analysis.
558  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 19, 2020, 05:34:35 PM

IMO, Ashwin's batting skills are not better than that of either Pat Cummins or Mitchell Starc. He has scored some valuable runs in the past and his batting average is much better than his Australian counterparts. But most of his runs have come against weak opponents in Indian pitches. Expecting the same in Australia, against the pace trio of Starc/Hazlewood/Cummins would be a little too much.
The skill is measured on how long you can bat in Test cricket and Ashwin scored a total of 6 centuries in total in the longer format, even if he plays in India that does not matter as every player will have an advantage in home conditions and none of the players mentioned are classic batsman but Starc and Cummins can hit the ball while Ashwin is not an explosive player and you cannot expect these half batsman scoring against tough opponents or bowling friendly wickets.

I did not expect this turnaround in the match, India loosing all their wickets for 36 runs  Cheesy. Never would have dreamed before the innings started.

Even the best batsman like Kohli is struggling then it is not fair to blame Ashwin, he did his job with his bowling so the batting is the real concern in their innings because losing for 36 is not really a justification even though the wicket is most wicket friendly.

What the captain said about their terrible performance? I didn't have time to watch today's match.
559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How true is this? on: December 19, 2020, 04:28:47 PM
In my opinion its true because crap projects want to take the advantage of the bull market and that way they will also list their coins and take benefit from the bullish wave. Let see when altcoins will start flying you will notice many much-awaited coins will also start getting listed.
Bulls already landed on the cryptocurrency space which also injected lot of new projects but not a lot I guess compared to 2017 rally of ICOs which lasted until the mid 2018 even the bullish trend started to get reversed in the end of 2017 itself. But if we take a look at the existing altcoins not much of them reached their new altcoins even when BTC easily broke resistance above 20K now in the reach of 24K.
560  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 19, 2020, 02:35:56 PM
It will be an unforgettable day for India as well as Australia. With the lead of 43 runs India starting the second innings on Home ground of Australia is truly big when the first innings score wasn't that high. Hazlewood and Cummins are the history makers, without them such as a consecutive wicket fall couldn't have happened. India on the other side showed its worst batting performance, having the best batting line-up.

Nothing to discuss here as everyone who has seen the wickets and the way India played will just be highly disappointed after seeing the way India took lead from 1st innings. This performance will need to be forgotten by team quickly and need to look how well if they can make a comeback in 2nd test .

After losing first test like this its really matter of worry for Indian team and management because they was really on driving seat after end of first innings but suddenly this collapse give them big shock fielding is also very poor from their standard now they have 7 days to think about how they manage this all for fightback in this series.
It is not going to be easy days for the team India because they made one of the worst histories which is not supposed to happen no matter how hard the opposition team was. But they need to forget this day and move on to the next match. Will there be any changes in the team? Not sure but I want a better opening pair to be honest than Prithvi Shaw who always failed to score runs which put the team India under pressure straight away.
