Ethf is not the crypto that makes the world better and creates a better future for children
542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: July 31, 2016, 08:29:12 PM
Etc is a minority that selflessly gave to ethf people, they spit on their free hedge and now is when they need it most
543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: July 31, 2016, 08:24:33 PM
Ethf should learn about the Streisand effect

Ethf is not a coin you want in the future. Think about your children. Do you want them learning about daos, forks and attacks against minorities?
544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: July 31, 2016, 08:03:05 PM
How was ETC launched? Is it also premined as ETH?

no it is the real ethereum..the other eth is hardforked!
there is no premine!

So where do these 82 million ETC come from?

From ethf users. They had etc. We did not and had to buy. This is the fairest launch I've seen.
545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: July 31, 2016, 08:02:03 PM
By the way, is classic going to switch to POS as ETF?
Become an ETC miner and you will have a say no doubt.  It's not the dictatorship ETH was.

Does it mean that if the miners do not want the PoS, there will never be a PoS in the Ethereum Classic?

We aren't sure yet but there's strong talk of supporting our miners and I don't believe in pos.
546  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: July 31, 2016, 07:54:51 PM
Should've kept your free etc hedge, etc was fair and even ethf users got free etc. And they threw it away like cowards.
547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: July 31, 2016, 09:37:46 AM
One of them is $ETH buy support, other one is $ETC buy support. I know what you're thinking: no, other way around.

Chandler Guo:
A lot of exchanges have added ETC and there's already been a high turnover of who owns ETC. Right now an attack on ETC would definitely harm innocent people. Countless numbers of ETC holders would be harmed financially. Right now an attack on ETC by 51pool.org is the equivalent to the DAO hacker. Whoever does bad/evil, i'll attack. Today i will turn on my 120gh for the ETC chain to protect ETC"
And he has now joined our Chinese ETC community just one hour before.

ETC has no future. Is any smart-contracts on it? ETC without contracts useless.

I don't see any smart contracts on eth other than png tokens
550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: July 31, 2016, 08:46:55 AM

asking again.. still no ETC-richlist?

(this would be good for the coin, unless there are some shit there)

Could you make one?

3 miners on that pool now...

Same mhs so far
553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: July 31, 2016, 02:21:00 AM
any plans to release an electrum wallet or a gui wallet for the audience?

They have a second miner on the pool
I hope some ETH miners see what is happening and switch to mining ETC.
If you want to mine ETC you don't need to go to the trouble of running geth and wait to sync.  You can just join a pool, change your bat argument and mine to a web based wallet like MyEtherWallet.com

MyEtherWallet.com now allows you to set the wallet to ETC or ETH

https://etc.nanopool.org
is nice and stable and have real good help info

https://etc.nanopool.org/help

ETC cant take much more hashrate before profitability plummets.
As we saw...  with this low price its less profitable than SHIFT when its hit with some power.

But eth is down today as well
554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: July 31, 2016, 12:55:37 AM
Etc doing better than eth today

Explain for this newbie... So lets say they get 51 Percent and attack etc.. So they say they can stop transactions.. But then what? Wouldnt they have to keep 51 percent at all times? What happens when they stop the attack. Wouldnt ETC just go back to normal?

Yeah they aren't very bright, they'd give to continue being the longest chain. Also I doubt they're bright enough to change the mining code to where it does damage vs just mining normally.
557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: July 30, 2016, 09:48:01 PM
Or it's just a scam and he'll keep the eth and etc
