Not that I totally disagree with the expanding power of the presidency, but it is ironic that the story comes from a country with an actual monarchy. The author is American, though: "Erwin Chemerinsky, the dean of the School of Law at the University of California, Irvine, is the author of The Case Against the Supreme Court."

That's really bad, the link on the OP of the main USDE thread not working. I've also checked the 10 USDE/BTC exchanges listed on the OP and only Cryptsy and SwissCex are still trading the coin. Couldn't get agx.io and coinano.com to load, and Mintpal is as good as dead.

No problems here. Also logged in yesterday (Saturday, 18 Oct 2014) and it was working fine.

Excuse me my ignorance, but is there any reason at all to run WinXP these days? Have you looked into running a linux distro? No offence meant.
I understand, too, that winxp is not supported and depreciated. I think your problem might be related to the limited amount of memory 32-bit Windows'es are able to access. If you were on XP 64, I'd tell you to stick with it and not downgrade your PC to 7Garbage or the 8th Abomination. Microsoft having stopped releasing those useless "security" patches that never protected anyone from anything is irrelevant. Linux is an option, if you're willing to accept the learning curve and live with the fact that you'll be missing on many Windows programs, even with WINE.

I like the CoinControl feature. BTW I synced from start and during the process bitcoin-qt crashed about 5 times (about once per 8 hours). Only two times out of five at the end of log was error (10091): closesocket(hListenSocket) failed with error WSAStartup
The other cases no error at the end of log...
yes ... after the block 0184 ... the v9.3 crash like the 0.9.2.1 (no debuglog entries to indicate the problem) on my WInXP SP3 with all KBs. rollback to 0.9.1 (with reindex command line to check the block folder and rev files). No problems at all with XP 64 SP2 (FX-8350, 16 GB RAM).

U.S. Patent Office Now Rejecting 78 Percent Of Business Method Patentshttp://www.tomshardware.com/news/uspto-rejecting-business-method-patents,27876.html<< Ever since the Supreme Court ruling on software patents in the Alice vs CLS Bank case, there seems to be a decline on both patent lawsuits and "business method" patent approvals by the USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office). The rejection rate of business method patents has jumped from 24 percent in January of this year to 78 percent this July. It looks like a major shift in the patent battles is about to happen. >>
