541  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining Profitability on: March 11, 2014, 02:04:40 PM
Mining these days at least for me is more of a hobby. I dont expect earnings.
I use cloud mining on cex and pbmining (referal sig) with few ghashes  . On cex i like it because i had the chance to create a page that automatically trades through the api and was a fun project for me. Pbming , well... i dont expect to get more that i put there (only 5 ghs)  and they  do have a bit shady way of doing bussiness. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=484355.0.
To make a long story short, cloud mining profitable? probably not.

and no 3 amd r9 280x will not be at any use for mining (worth mentioning at least)
543  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PBmining - legit? on: March 10, 2014, 09:57:39 AM
I am tracking this topic since the beggining.
I was tempted a lot of times to comment.
Firstly to answer the main question. Nobody knows and yes they have very shady back story (from the actual miners to why their coins are "washed" before sent to owners of contracts).
Before someone tries to throw a stone , about my signature, i can tell this:
i was and am playing with cloud mining with small amounts (even if i had more , that would be a conscious choice for me).
Yes , they have something like 1/2 price pers ghs vs cexio. ok . Why ?
Lets say that they give you 1/3 of the price of what cexio give you. Then what? A member posted before me that you can trade the purchased ghs  to btc or ltc or whatever the cex platform gives you.
On pbmining you cannot go anywhere. you are "imprisoned" for a 5 year contract . So, i do not regret the outstanding .... 5 ghs on pbmining , as a test , but i wouldnt buy more since its smells really funny.
544  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: KNC Miner [NEPTUNE 3000GHS] GROUP BUY ALL SOLDOUT on: March 07, 2014, 01:50:52 PM

545  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Selling GHs to cex.io? on: February 13, 2014, 12:42:31 PM
You can use your own equipment to mine there @ghash.io just like any other pool.
On top of that you can buy/trade ghs to miner with more power (you dont have to of course).

You can point your own hardware to the pool.

You cannot sell that hashing power* though.

*hashing power of your own equipment.

Smiley

Gator-hex , if you dont mind me asking, where do you mine? --off topic question , i know

547  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Is mining for a day at Full speed the same as mining for 2 days at half speed? on: February 12, 2014, 01:02:04 PM
now it gets more complicated. It depends on how a pool credit its shares and is shielded on pool hoping and how lucky will they be at this particular 24hr window.
I'd suggest to not keep all eggs in one basket Wink
548  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Selling GHs to cex.io? on: February 12, 2014, 12:59:22 PM
i cannot understand what you find confusing.
you sell your ghs for X.XXXXXXX btc or nmc and you get btc or nmc  Smiley
549  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Good cloud mining websites? on: February 07, 2014, 03:30:35 PM
https://cex.io  or https://cex.io/r/0/stergium/0/ (for my referral bonus if you would).
To my opinion , because ghash does merge mining , it can be profitable.
550  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Tell me what's worth mining today. on: February 07, 2014, 10:42:20 AM
try both !
https://cex.io/r/0/stergium/00/ you will mine btc, nmc, dvc, ixc at the same time  Wink
551  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: KNC Miner [NEPTUNE 3000GHS] GROUP BUY ALL SOLDOUT on: January 31, 2014, 08:47:09 AM
I did not want to know the actual location.
My question was informational as to if you , for instance, work in a datacenter and can/will utilize that space or you have a computer room with servers and will use that.
552  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: KNC Miner [NEPTUNE 3000GHS] GROUP BUY ALL SOLDOUT on: January 14, 2014, 11:34:45 AM
I have a question.
Where (location) will the equipment will be hosted? Is the location a known datacenter?
553  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: October 14, 2013, 08:08:08 AM
I received order #605.

Feedback about Burnin's product:

Excellent workmanship. I've mined with ztex and CM1's and these board surpass both ztex and CM1 in terms of quality. Excellent design and construction. I really like the power stack and bus design.

I'm hitting on avg 8.5 GH/s on the boards. I plugged the boards up and they started working. No need to flash bios.

cgminer with 4 BB

good for you. again , nobody is mentioning tracking numbers...
554  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: October 11, 2013, 12:12:44 PM
There are 2 posts... the first is on bottom. I guess you havent updated the firmware yet either then.

Are the new boards still shipping with out-of-date firmware, then?

I don't think so, I've got 1 bitburner xx this week and it runs out of the box.
Order #36x

order #36X as well, nothing here yet - no email, no updates. I ordered with zefir, batch 3+. What are we waiting for?

we are waiting for this: "Production capability ~1000 modules per week."
555  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: October 10, 2013, 06:47:05 AM
Where are everyone else getting tracking numbers and picking up their orders?
I'm on the #6XX and to that rate ( by people posted ) i'll have to wait to december...
What happens to all of those people who do business with bitcoin mining hardware?
556  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [EU] 447 MH/s USB Block Errupter OC 0.16 BTC + ship UPDATED on: October 08, 2013, 08:46:07 AM
a lot of info is missing... If someone is willing to pay the 0.16 or the 0.2 for the oc'ed version, where should be ordering it?
do you provide an escrow for that payment? Maybe you mention that in portuguese version, but not every european citizen knows portuguese...
557  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: September 30, 2013, 08:08:27 AM
@burnin or @SebastianJu .
Was a tracking number supplied for this delivery ?  so people would wait for something like that in their inbox?
558  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: September 23, 2013, 01:12:04 PM
@roy If that would be the case, i'm ok.
My thinking was that if someone did not asked for a refund , he/she would automatically fall on the other side (of continuing the assembly) .
559  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: September 23, 2013, 08:26:18 AM
I have a question to anyone that might know.
The "keep order" option isnt it a bit useless when someone has already paid for an order and havent asked for a refund?
An while am on topic, does anyone has any update on the production queue?
560  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] Avalon ASIC Chips (SebastianJu) Batch 6 ordered (Closed) on: August 26, 2013, 09:16:34 AM
