Patmast3r,
I've tried to contact you and Makoto via PM for the last 2 (edited) 3 months... regarding  my account marked as sockpuppet.
Honestly, in the meantime I really lost any interest in the project, since i've seen that nobody really care about issues like the one I have.
Now, after a long while, I'm back to the forum (curiosity), and I see one of your post as last post. Then I thought "why not?"
I'm back here just to see if it's possible to know WHY you guys acted in this way ?
I've been polite in any of my messages. And you can see I didn't inundate you with PMs... well, Not even a reply. Nothing.
This is the last reply from Makoto:

Thanks for contacting me.

Pat and I will look at your data and get back to you.

More then 2 MONTHS AGO !!!
At this point, i think at least an explanation is what i deserve, since i spent my time to get people involved in this project, and as "thank you", I found my account and my friend's accounts marked as Sockspuppet.
Lets see if this time someone will spend 5 sec of his life to reply.
Thanks (in case this time someone will be so kind to reply)

All I can tell you is that I have nothing todo with that anymore and makoto seems to have a massive backlog. I'm sorry but I can't tell you anything except to wait (I know).
You can hate me for it but there's literally nothing i can do to help you.

is there a white paper how forging exactly works?

also can anybody explain me, why i forge some blocks and get zero fee for generating a block?

You get 0 fees if there are no tx in a block. You see in non-inflationary POS sytems forgers are rewarded with the tx fees. If there are no tx in a block there are no fees and no rewards.

Nem appears to be abandoned by the dev. This was a launch and dump by the looks of it.

This sums up BTT in a nutshell for me. It's almost funny.

NEM has proven to be the most promising crypto release in the last year and yet it still gets fud -- there's a good reason why BTT activity is limited and this is it.

New algorithm, blockchain Multisig, encrypted messaging, mobile wallet, thorough IPO distribution...yeah, i'm sure it's worth dumping.  Roll Eyes

I totally get that this forum has issues and seems to produce new trolls every day. I've complained about it myself.

Having said that, I still do check this thread for updates. I'm involved in a number of alt coins, each of which has its own forum. I honestly cannot keep up with ten or fifteen different forums, not to mention chat groups, Slack groups, Supernet groups and more. For all its problems, BTT is a good hub for all the topics of interest. The "Show new replies to your posts" link at the top is a great tool which I use heavily. I understand that NEM devs have far better things to do than plow through a bunch of FUD posts to answer someone's question. If I have a burning question I will go to the NEM forum or the Telegram chat to get it answered if I don't get an answer here as quickly as I'd like. So no, I understand if my questions don't get answered here. However, can the devs please keep posting updates here, even if they are links to more detailed updates elsewhere? That way I can keep up even if this is the only place I have time to look for a while. Just post the updates--don't even worry about commenting further about them if you don't want to. And don't be afraid to use the IGNORE button. It's another great tool this forum provides.

I'm pretty sure imortant updates will be posted here.
Totally aggree with you btw.

Lead developer Jaguar0625 has not made a post since October 2014.

He gave up on btt because there were too many people spreading FUD. Now who could he be referring to?

At least, the core devs should provide some kind of project dev-maps to the community.

It is not good to keep mute .

Projects always need leaders to focus the confidence of the community.

BTT just isn't considered as part of the community I think. Can you blame them ? This toxic pit full of scum and 12 yr old fudsters isn't a platform for a healthy project.

If anybody has programming skills and would like to help work on the nose reward program, please send me a PM

The rules of the game have been decided?

Something like this hasn't ever been done so it's a little hard to know exactly how all the parameters should be set.  During an initial few weeks we can get a much better idea of and a real set of data to examine. After that more formalized rules can be set. Right now the guidelines are meant as a starting point.

Main devs are working on another project right now in the core. Building node rewards code is definitely on their to do list but it's not the type of thing that only they can do. Actually lots of people could easily help build the code for node rewards as half of it is just building code that tests and monitors the network. That would be really great if somebody could help build that.

If you're asking on btt you must be pretty desperate Smiley

I think both the 3 million threshhold and the fact that it's a lottery aren't a good idea (allthough I'm sure there were good reasons for it) and that's why I'm not offering to do it. Consider it my silent protest. Lips sealed

549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Since Bitcoin is becoming a train wreck, what's Nxt? on: June 02, 2015, 08:24:51 AM
Excuse the pun. But seriously, NXT is starting to look like the most decentralized offering right now. Instead of long drawn-out inflation over the next 100 years, the distribution is done for NXT. Every day, it becomes more distributed and the development from the community is incredible.

Any other alts that match this kind of dedication (community size) and support (1+ years top 10 CMC)? Have you seen the wallet? It looks like a swiss army knife compared to Bitcoin Core.

You may wanna take a look at NEM (http://nem.io) allthough it has only been our for a couple of months and therefore doesn't yet have the huge community or non-core-dev contributions like NXT. It has some other advantages though.
Technical reference (whitepaper-ish) is here http://nem.io/NEM_techRef.pdf

Get out of here you lying commie with your flawed PoI.  It is the right of every currency holder to be able to secure his investment.  Outsourcing blockchain security to third-party PoW miners, delegates or those who make the most transactions is against the fundamental rights of the currency holders.

See that's the kind of clown that you'll have to put up with if you join NXT. There are a lot of very decent NXTers but the community is also full of iditots like that.

Are you saying you are totally satisfied with how things are going ?

Finally managed to get my delegated harvesting going! I wish i had this working properly from the start!
Ive had lots of NEM pouring in! Grin

I am lazy, where to find the full guide for  delegated harvesting.
I remember the online guide was not very descriptive.

http://blog.nem.io/how-to-use-delegated-harvesting/

Usually when you start a sentence with "I am lazy" people won't help you. I am because I'm also a lazy fuck Tongue

The ONLY reason I am still invested is the innovation this coin brings to the table.  Wish the Devs cared.

Without them finally giving technical credence to those innovations I consider them questionable at best.
The only reason I'm still invested is because i signed up when it was free and kinda missed the last dump.

The community is only part of the problem.  Our main problem is BTER.
We've been asking for a new exchange for months.  IDEK if devs are trying, but it's time to pay the 3.0BTC to Bittrex for a spotlight.
In my opinion, this is the only way Node will survive another 6 months.
If we don't have a new exchange soon, it's over for Node.
I want to see this project to succeed and I'm willing to help.
No offense to Dev's, but you're doing a really bad job.
If you are only going to code, GET SOMEONE ELSE TO HANDLE MARKETING because while you may be great coders, marketing is going to be your downfall.

Tired of watching prices drop, DEVS DOING NOTHING about it.
Very unhappy with how this is going right now, but I'll remain a supporter aslong as these issues are addressed.

If you really think Bter is the main problem then you are delusional.
Not to mention...who can blame other exchanges for not adding NODE ? Would you add notoriously unfinished software to your exchange that on top of it wouldn't even bring you any volume ?
Peoples fixation on exchanges is astounding.

SCREW MORE EXCHANGES! What this project needs is a proper team to drive it and not 2 to 3 people that rarely show up and basically never deliver what they promise. I don't even blame them for not being around. I'm sure they have their reasons. Maybe it's personal problems. Whatever it is though...you can't run a project like this.

New test clients been released, please install. https://nodecointalk.org/topic/10/new-test-clients-released/

How is the testing going???

Changes were made to the forging structure and bugs were removed!

If you find a something wrong with it, let us know!

+ Here is a little motivation, 25000Nodes for the one who reports a worthy bug!

Motivating us by offering the equivalent of 10 cents or whatever 25,000 NODE is?  wtF

I know when I was young kid you could get gum for 5 cents but Koop4u this is the 2000s... man..

You never stop to impress Smiley

25k is a small reward for an bug report! So it is to motivate people to actually go that extra step, and report it to Silk!

And i admit that this number doesn't represent the determined exchange value, because it is subjective!

Bu, if you are interested in going all out and looking for bugs, than give me a hind and i'll ask silk to give you more coins!

Your communication is one of the worst I've seen and the community is dead at this point because of it

There is still no real technical document that explains how POA is supposed to work (don't link that pdf that explains POA in a POW context) or how instant transactions are achieved (first you said fully connected network, next there was talk about a neural network).

Litereally everything you've done so far was half-assing every step of the way (releasing software that wasn't ready, releasing a "whitepaper" that's not worth the name and really didn't explain anything, using an algo that wasn't ready, then deactivating it because of it, coming back with some investment/trading scheme).  Sorry to say this so bluntly but it needs to be said.

And now you come to tease the few people that still watch this thread with a reward that isn't even worth reading your post for ?

How about I give you 25,000 NODEs if you guys show us even the least bit of progress ?

MrPortman,
I don't mean to insult you, but I'm having a hard time understanding your English.
As a result, I don't understand your explanation of the NEMCredits.

I must be having the same problem as it makes no sense to me whatsoever  Undecided

Thanks for the explanation/clarification. I forgot to configure the settings. TBH, I didnt see it guides at ournem, maybe there were written somewhere. Anyway, I clicked activate delegated harvesting without any settings. So, It will be harvesting on local node.

I think I have to change settings to harvest on a remote node when 360 blocks passed for activation. Then, I should reactivate for delegated harvesting with new settings, is that correct?

You don't need to reactivate delegate harvesting after changing the settings. Just change settings to point to a remote node and start harvesting.

Thanks for the answer. I was really confused about how delegated harvesting works. I think it will be good if this questions/answers are added to FAQ at ournem.
Regards...

It's all in the tutorials...

Hi guys,
I was just trying to activate delegated harvesting. When I clicked the activate button , I saw a Nem address for Importance tx. I was curious about the selection of this address.

Is it done randomly or chosen automatically from the healtier nodes? If node is broken down how can I change my node?

That address is the account address for which you are activating the delegated harvesting. I has nothing to do with the NIS node you are connected to.

So after 360 blocks, can I select a node with IP or is it done automatically similar to importance tx?

It uses whatever node is configured in the settings at the time of activation. If you had no remote node configured then you'll be harvesting delegated on your local node.

560  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why don't the exchanges get together and fork Ripple and use it. on: May 28, 2015, 08:11:50 AM
1) How would they pay for network fees (= who gets the forkXRPs)?
2) How would they ensure a healthy validator network structure?

These are the 2 main remaining questions for mainline Ripple too...

1) First of all in Ripple nobody get's the fees. XRPs are being destroyed not re-destributed. Second if the exchanges run their own "internal" network then they don't need to worry about fees because they controll all of the forkXRPs and can split them up evenly.

2) Each exchange runs 1 validator which trusts the other exchanges validators. done.
