541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the fair rewards come out from campaign? on: October 07, 2019, 07:04:25 PM
I was planning to join the campaign, i asked one already join more than one, the answer is choked me,
Although the project not bad, he received only $6.8 after worked for 6 weeks is it fair?  Is it normal?
What you think?

Bounty campaign or airdrop campaign? i promoted eterbase bounty campaign and i only earned 5$ joining the telegram campaign, though too many people joined the telegram campaign thats why the reward is very low to none, you can earn more than that if you join other campaigns like twitter, facebook or instagram, earning 6.8$ is very low but you can improve if you join many campaigns
542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sold my house for buying altcoins need your help on: October 06, 2019, 07:06:02 AM
It would have been better if you invested all the money on bitcoin, you will get your result in a short term, since you invested in altcoin the bad news is you may have to wait for years before you make good gains and the good news is the selected coins on your lists will bring you better profits because they are popular coins
543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What should I do with a 1000$ and what would you do? on: October 06, 2019, 07:03:21 AM
If i have 1000$ now i will go all in on bitcoin for now because there is assurance of making profits in short period of time, there will be no need of waiting for years to make profit like when investing on altcoins, if i have more then i can consider ETH or XRP
544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about Skycoin? on: October 06, 2019, 07:00:31 AM
Skycoin price is down and i think its a good time to start buying, i like the coin for one thing, its very responsive to bitcoin just like bitcoincash used to be responsive to bitcoin price, apart from this skycoin is a very good altcoin with good teams, id rather invest in skycoin than new projects coming into crypto space nowadays
545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Different type of altcoins have their season which attract scammers be watchful on: October 05, 2019, 09:14:13 AM
The altcoin market is a very interesting market when it's operating at its best. When it comes to investing in them just to increase your chances of accumulating more bitcoin or short term investment, you have to understand there's a season for every type of coin. During the 2017 altcoins bull market I observe some interesting trends concerning how the market (altcoins) react which might be of use or serve as a guideline for future market and help prevent you from falling victims to fraudsters and scam projects.

We can't denied the fact the market is still been influence by emotions which you could profit from, that's if you understand how it works. Each type of altcoins had it's season, there was a time only lending tokens were mostly benefiting from the market via price appreciation. Sane with staking/masternode projects as they also had their share of the market. If you were paying close attention to the market you would had observe more and more type of projects based on trending Ideas starter popping up during their season meaning, scammers starts disguising themselves as startups to launch new worthless project just to scam innocent Investors of their funds.

Same observation happened when projects paying dividends started trending, same with projects crowdfunding through Selfdrop instead of ICO, privacy coins also had similar fate etc. Although the current situation of the market isn't encouraging, you still have to be very watchful as this trend could repeat itself at any given time. Understand that scammers are always active looking for new way to scam investors of their funds. When there's a new trend, always be watchful as the chances of getting scammed through that method becomes high. Invest wisely.
Good point you got there, if a new project is built today with a fresh idea and it become successful scammers will try hard to build something almost identical to the successful  project because investors will want to invest in such project thinking its will be successful again
546  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Old companies that implement crypto will always do fine on: October 05, 2019, 09:11:55 AM
i disagree.
the quality of a cryptocurrency has nothing to do with the age of the "company" in fact i would say that if there is a company behind a project, that project is automatically lower quality in my views. i prefer more decentralized approach just like what Satoshi did with bitcoin. a single person (with some help from others) released a new innovation that changed the world. that should be the goal and the reference for comparison.
I think OP is pointing to identifying good projects from scam projects, company based blockchain projects are in existence so many would want to invest in such company because of the real life product, its different from projects that are built few months back and looking forward to raise fund with no real working product
547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A view on hunters and crypto currency on: October 05, 2019, 09:08:23 AM

After the failures of ico and the short progress of ico; it brings a sigh of fear into crypto currency.

Investors are smarter; and do not rush into tokens
while bounty hunters are increased thus providing poor contents which leads to no reward

If we consider previously where projects raise 10m$ for just launching app unlike now where
Most Projects this year struggle to raise even 100$; and it looks like ieo/ico will die soon.

What will be the future of crypto currency?
Does it need regulation as stock and forex ? Or the sequence of struggle continues ?

Now there are news about a possible increase in bitcoin supply; is it healthy for the space ?

For hunters; soon; I doubt we will find worthy projects to promote

As this is my first post in altcoins; I hope I get a lot of suggestions to improve my knowledge likewise
What do you mean by poor content? bounty managers won't pay bounty hunters that provides poor content works in the bounty campaign, the problem is scammers keep creating shit projects and bounty hunters keep promoting the projects for them to create awareness to investors
548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Bad habits from devs with bounty rewards on: October 04, 2019, 07:17:15 PM
I want to warn bounty hunters about bounty projects that pays bounty rewards to their platform or websites instead of ETH contract address, they mostly go against their words and you have no control over the tokens even if you have your login details..
Those who promoted Cryptomarketads(CMA) and Moozicore(MZG) knows what i'm talking about, i have decide to stop promoting such projects
549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ask Any Crypto Question - A Thread By a 6-Year Crypto Vet on: October 04, 2019, 07:10:20 PM
This is a new thread, a follow-up from a thread created a year ago

I've been active within crypto, nearing 6 years now. It is my passion to share my experiences, talents, wisdom and assisting others with wisdom and insight into all things related to crypto. Over the years, I've been involved in over 40 crypto and blockchain projects and have been friends with some of the biggest legendary figures known to crypto. I've helped coins that still linger in the top 20 and many more that have been in the top 100.

But, this thread is for my beloved Altcoin community on Bitcointalk, whom I vigorously watch, read, merit and occasionally comment on your threads.

I invite you and anyone to ask any question pertaining to cryptocurrency and blockchain.

The only types of questions i will not answer, are those specific to a crypto, questions like "What do you think about Ethereum?" "What coin are you investing in?" ... etc.

This thread should not be used for investment/trading decisions or be declared as financial advice. Always DYOR and always invest/trade carefully.
Thanks for this wonderful opportunity to ask you question tk808, my first question is pointing towards altcoins entirely, can bitcoin do all the talkings in crypto without altcoins? what do you think will be the fate of altcoins in few years to come? will next bitcoin halving have impact on altcoins? thanks
550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Alt season come soon? on: October 04, 2019, 07:05:40 PM
Do not listen to anyone, listen only to yourself, it will start when the coins stop looking for a new bottom, and start looking for new peaks, do not rush to buy everything in a jerk of bitcoin to the top. When it starts you will understand for sure!
Loved your strong will and thought about crypto, many are doing mistakes by buying any coins they feel its good enough, the best answer lies in proper research, good altcoins will reach new height for sure but bad ones will varnish, the choice is investor's to make
551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency to be used in Money laundering and Terrorism? on: October 03, 2019, 02:50:39 PM
Anything valuable can be used to exchange any goods either weapons or bombs its left for those doing the exchange, this doesn't have any thing to do with crypto, bitcoin can be use for means of payment thats all there is to now, what ever anyone wants to use their bitcoin to buy shouldn't be any of our problems
552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mining New Coins Can be Deceiving on: October 03, 2019, 02:46:07 PM
Mining a new, unknown and non-trading coin is a risk. By mining them you risked and you were out of luck. But if you have enough power for mining, then you should use part of your hashrate in the extraction of new coins. Sooner or later you're lucky. For example, those who began to mine BEAM in January now feel not bad.
Mining new coins is better than promoting new projects, if you have the mindset of dumping the new coin you mined you will see good profit, most new coins always get listed but dumps might follow, they seem to have good trading volume than new bounty projects
553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is Happening with BitMax.io? on: October 03, 2019, 02:29:59 PM
With DEEP delistyling yesterday, BitMax.io is moving. Against Bitmax, successive accusations by projects began to come.

I just came across this article;
https://lunardigitalassets.com/news/regulatory/bitmax-exchange-accused-by-projects-of-illegal-pump-and-dump-schemes/

Quote
Needless to say,  many projects are very upset at BitMax; not only IEO projects. Projects duped into paying for their “market making” services as well. I myself am having a hard time figuring out if it’s Shane Molidor’s complete incompetency, or if BitMax is willingly participating in these pump and dump schemes designed to kill new projects. Several of the BitMax IEO victims are allegedly looking to join forces to consider legal options; don’t be too surprised to see a visit from the SEC or the NYSDFS at BitMax’s headquarters in NYC.

DEEP claims that no promises have been kept to date and that no money has been transferred to them from the token sale. I was following Ferrum Network for a while and almost all FRM community was complaining about BitMax market making. I guess, Bitmax was doing something not good.

I specifically wanted to open this topic here to warn those who have BTMX token. Waiting for the comments of those who have knowledge about the subject.
I am not surprised because we have some power people backing up few crypto exchanges, a good example is that idax exchange, they treated many IEO Projects badly and they silence them, many of these projects are not even bold enough to tackle the exchange until cryptomarketads team faced them but the battle was lost when the team later find out that the exchange have some powerful people backing them, they are given option of opting out or joining the exchange at all cost
554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How i keep my private keys safe without hardware wallet on: September 30, 2019, 08:42:48 AM
You will be fine if you are not connecting to the internet since you've load windows7 setup on the harddisk already, its a very good move and since you are living alone and no one knows you have something valuable in keep they your private keys will be safe from preying eyes but still hardware wallet is hassle free
555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Binance delisting trading pairs on: September 30, 2019, 08:37:27 AM
Here we go again, binance exchange decided to delist 30 different types of trading pairs on its platform and six of those trading pairs involve tokens launched on Binance Launchpad Initial Exchange Offering (IEO) platform, namely BitTorrent, Elrond, Harmony and WINk.
The trading pairs are mostly TUSD and USDC pairs and Binance claimed that the pairs were being removed to improve liquidity and user trading experience and that the choice of trading pairs was as requested by most project teams.

Why would the project teams want such? what am i missing here? anyone?

556  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is happening with the ICO and IEO market now? on: September 29, 2019, 03:24:32 PM
Hi guys!

For six months I have not followed the cryptocurrency market. I want to know the latest news. Please help me.

Most of all I am interested in the ICO and IEO market:

1. Is this market alive or dead?
2. Did you solve the problem of scam?
3. Do you invest in projects or don’t invest?
4. If you invest, then what is the profitability?
5. If you do not invest, then why?

Thanks in advance for the answers!
Market is so much alive and nothing much have change in the past months other than bitcoin surging and altcoins suffering, few bitcoin dominance got thrown in and ETH was able to recover a bit back to 215$ when bitcoin loses dominance and finally bakkt eventually happened which unfortunately doesn't have any good impact to crypto market like many was expecting
557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Curious Case of Bullrun on: September 29, 2019, 03:16:43 PM
I am curious and i need answers, the last bitcoin halving happened in 2016 and a year later bitcoin bullrun follows, in that year many believes that ICO HYPE was responsible for the bullrun and others belief it did a big a part so my question now is what do you guys think will drive the next bullrun season?
558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: characteristics of fraudulent projects on: September 29, 2019, 03:10:05 PM
when investors and the crypto community already believed, but the team said differently!
- The team did not respond well to the crypto community.
- The team is very shady and does not provide updates about their projects on the telegram & social media channels.
- The team plans to take a vacation
- The team blocked accounts one by one from each community who questioned about the development of the project.
- and finally you are banned in this group  Grin

it's so annoying, how you feel?  Roll Eyes
You did a good job on picking out this points, any projects that do one of the following on your list is a very bad project, i have experience all of the above, i think the best way to nailed it hard is to keep asking the teams very high questions on their social media channels, if they are open or shady you will know instantly
559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Closings bountyhive? on: September 28, 2019, 02:57:15 PM
Many have heard of such a platform as a https://bountyhive.io. The platform was engaged in bounties and paid fairly regularly, although many projects were a big deception. There was news from the chat that you need to enter eos, stellar wallets, as tokens will be sent that the company owes to those who did not manage to enter the wallets on time. Does this mean that the platform will be closed, so new projects are not added to it. Maybe someone has information about the project.
After signing up on bountyhive platform you need to insert all the necessary wallet address that you want to use to receive all funds from bounties, some bounty projects are running on eos blockchain and stellar blockchain too so you have to add eos, stellar and eth wallet address, belief me bountyhive is far from closing anytime soon
560  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: GRAFT Letter to the Community. WTF!? on: September 28, 2019, 02:44:13 PM
That is not good, i was believing that GRAFT coin will be success in the future.
They should using the money they raised very careful and efficient to keep developing their project.
If the raised funds already empty, then it is their responsibility because they are the one who used it.
So they are trying to give people this useless excuse that fund dried up? who will believe that? GRAFT project has cool idea backing it up but not the team, i'm glad i dump my coins when i could if not i will be regretting now, this issue of fund getting dried up seem to be the newest trick, miracle tele did the same thing
