541  Economy / Gambling / Re: Where are you Gambling right Now !? on: October 13, 2015, 04:56:07 PM

I do still make some bets of fiat sites like playing poker on pokerstars and betfair. Try to use BTC as much as possible but sometime you cant.  Hopefully stars will hurry up and accept bitcoin.

I don't agree that Turkey will loose from Iceland this match.Turkey is in terrific form and has constant performance throughout the previous matches.Iceland is at no.1 and Turkey is at 3rd position in their group.Turkey is going to win this match in my opinion.

Of course Turkey will win or it's gonna be a draw. In both cases Turkey is through. Iceland won't win. I guess the prefer Turkey then The Netherlands at the EC. Netherlands is now out form but if they play like the last world cups they could even become one of the favorites. So they just don't want them to go through.

They are going through a bad spell, not qualifying for the euros is a massive failiure for them.  Turkey always seem to make it to euros and then never do much which is a shame.

I had a random though about tournaments. Last time, the first tournament was only promoted on twitter, and there wasn't that much preparation time. So maybe next time it be better to announce a upcoming tournament a couple days in advance so they can be promoted on reddit, twitter and other places. This would help to attract more new users, and give current users something to look forward to.

Just found the twitter, im happy to retweet out any news to my bitcoin followers.  Sites like this are really important to bitcoin, let us know if we can help promote.
544  Economy / Gambling / Re: Euro 2016 Prediction Thread on: October 13, 2015, 08:05:10 AM
Hi guys,
let's give out some picks for Euro 2016.

Armenia - Albania Both team to score
Faroe Islands - Romania Over 2,5
Serbia - Portugal Home or Draw
Greece - Hungary Greece wins

Enjoy...

I have doubt about your pick Greece to win this match, i am not sure about this Hungary has more chance or will be ended draw.

With all the greeks who bought bitcoin and the 2016 block halving coming before euro 2016 they'll probably use the extra funds to break messi out of tax dodging jail and make him greek to win the cup Smiley
545  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: International Games Prediction Thread on: October 12, 2015, 10:21:16 AM
Lithuania vs England im going for a draw, england have already qualified and they'll no doubt try a few players out and get cocky.  They are going for 100% perfect record this game might be a slip up.
546  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling be profitable in long term ? on: October 12, 2015, 10:18:44 AM
But if I want to gamble, I'd rather choose to invest in gambling site's bankroll than playing against the house. I already make some profits in one of that gambling site but only for small amount since we all know that profit by investing in bankroll is not that quick profit.
yes you are right we know its not a get rich scheme ...but don't get confused between gambling and investing...
its not gambling when you invest your coins in a company or casino.

Still it's gambling since your are taking risk here in. Possibility of the company to turn black is always there. But of course I don't do invest in gambling site's bankroll without precautions. Risk is always there but we can avoid it.

Everything is a gambling even crossing the road, its all about +ev or -ev.  I dont think you can avoid risk even with a +ev bet.... you can get hit by a car at any point etc.

Some business and investing deals are just so solid that the chances of losing money are very very unlikely.
547  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is Kraken down? on: October 10, 2015, 09:34:32 AM

548  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Mother jailed after son drowned as she checked Facebook on: October 10, 2015, 09:32:38 AM

I feel like i'd need to see the situation happen or have more details to make a full judgement.  Maybe it was just an unfortunate event and she was a good parent 99.99% of the time but just got unlucky.  But yeah it seems bad not keeping an eye on child based on information here.

I've seen many "good parents" what i'd consider not watching their child fully at all times.
a valid point, however, it appears that this wasnt the first time the mother lost track of her child:
from the article:

"The court also heard how she had let Joshua play out in the road when she lived in Hull in August 2013. Neighbours contacted social services after he narrowly avoided being hit by a car. Barnett pleaded guilty to four counts of child cruelty."

what a shame, she isnt fit to be a parent imo, even if she did care for her child (which im assuming she did, given that she did try to save him after finding that he had drowned).

OK so yeah its not looking good, not fit to be a parent seems about the right indeed.  Looks like a good judgement.
549  Economy / Gambling / Re: www.chopcoin.io - The new interactive Bitcoin game! on: October 10, 2015, 08:51:35 AM
Will there be a tournament this weekend?

A fun tournament mode would be one where mass size increases as normal, but you are only awarded points for eliminating other players completely - thus forcing people to take more chances and perhaps get eaten themselves. Not sure if that will be the outcome, but it could provide some interesting gameplay.

Also, it could be fun with a game mode where all players start out with a larger size, just to speed things up a bit in the start.

Talking about tournaments, It would be an interesting idea one tournament where players wager some coins (in order to fill the pot) and an option to allow visitors/audience to watch the game and to bet (back and lay) players' performance.

That's a suggestion, maybe it's viable. dunno...
Thats a great idea. Interesting angle.  Cool

I watched the whole of the last tournament. Betting and/or backing a given outcome certainly adds the interest for the spectator.

Its a great idea but you have to watch for people manipulating the outcome.  You could have multiple accounts or teams of player colluding .

551  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why are standards so poor in the mainstream? on: October 10, 2015, 08:39:09 AM
Because people outside of the mainstream are forced to adapt with little resources which means they have to compensate by being skilled and efficient.

Thats an interesting take on it and i think correct to a certain extent. thanks man.

So the main stream is undynamic? for some reason

The mainstream gets the majority bulk of resources pumped into it from humanity yet when you need high standards in whatever area of life you rarely get it from the mainstream, how would you explain why this is?

Haha that video was excellently delivered will be using that to link people in future thanks!.

I do hate to think its all one big conspiracy, the reason being is the herd still gets life improvements as we evolve? if the rich elite had their way we'd all be slaves with zero freedom?  I'm looking for other contributing factors as to why the main stream system doesn't provide the best.

George Carlin is right. But he isn't complete. He left out the answers of what to do... at least in a direct manner. In fact, the fact that he could be on stage as popular as he became was that he used the main stream system to be the way he was, the exact system he was speaking against.

The people in the crowd laughed. They enjoyed Carlin's ironic humor. The were sort of like the people of Dresden, Germany, just before the bombing of Dresden in WWII. These people engaged in the attitude of, "Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we may die." And on the morrow they did die.

Basically, in America, Britain, Canada, Australia, and other of the free countries, the reason standards are going lower is that people are looking to government for the answers to their questions and problems, rather than looking to themselves. When something goes wrong, the people take it to the government court rather than bringing their own court in the same courthouse building. Here's what I mean.

The courts are for everyone to use to make their case. The black robed ones aren't the only ones who have the authority. In a direct way, the 9th Amendment (and to a lesser extent the Preamble of the Constitution) allows anyone making a claim to not only bring his a claim, but to also bring in the rules of court. And his rules can state that the black robe can only referee the court, or the claimant will hold him in contempt.

Done correctly, the above works. But people can't do it correctly, because they think the judge is their king's direct representative. Who is their king? Obama, or whatever president is in power at the moment.

The truth of the matter is that all adult people are kings and queens. And until the people realize this and stand up as kings and queens, they are going to be treated as they designate themselves... as paupers. Claims in court - not complaints - are kings/queens disputing with other kings/queens, or with corporations which are the true paupers.

Here's one of the best videos that shows the way to do it - to stand up. You need to be a real MAN (or WOMAN). You need to KNOW that you are the one in authority YOUR court. Listen for the little place in the video where Karl reminds the judge that it is HIS (Karl's) court as he is the one bringing it - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Twn96nj0jfw&index=10&list=PLHrkQxgz0mg6kUBciD-HIvTXByqjcIZ-D. The people don't do this because they are too afraid to stand up as this video shows - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gc11mJGre10.

Again, the answer is simple in its bottom line form. The answer is that the people are kings and queens in this land. But if the kings and queens look to government rather than standing up as kings and queens, they will be treated as they ask to be treated.

Smiley

I believe that for sure, we fund the public sector it is our service.  I read twice and Im thinking through your points and vids ty:)

wow, I would like to think about this one. Could you please define a little bit more how you understand the word "mainstream", in which context, maybe a concrete example. thank you. I am looking forward to it Smiley.

however I am not sure that the majority bulk of resources... that's highly subjective.

your ibm Cheesy.

I reckon the main stream/the herd etc do get the majority bulk of resources dont they? im counting humans and human thought as a resource also.

Look what happens when an individual stands up to the herd, usually get stomped on.  Obviously currenlty we have the rich elites but its just a matter of 100 years until they get stomped for the most part no?

Are you talking about the mainstream media?
What is the context?

Not necessarily the mainstream media but that can be an example sure.... if you want decent information you usually dont go to the mainstream media despite it being the best funded.

I mean main stream just as in the herd, the bulk, the majority.  Why is all the best stuff is usually not in the main stream.

Public services would be an example but i didnt want to say that. Im not trying to make a case for central planning the whole of society here either just dont understand fully.

558  Other / Off-topic / Re: What Are Your Thoughts On Vegans? Or Going Vegan ? on: October 08, 2015, 03:48:00 PM
I eat just fish cause fishes can live their lives freely in the sea and they're just killed once when we need to eat them, without all the caged life that a chicken or a similar animal need to do in a modern food industry.
So you haven't heard of fish breeding ponds or industrial breeding...

What fish can you eat which are surely from the sea? - and i dont mean the ones you catch yourself.  I know salmon is from a farm pretty much always.
559  Economy / Gambling / Re: www.chopcoin.io - The new interactive Bitcoin game! on: October 07, 2015, 04:44:32 PM

Defo consider longer faucet games, think about it, people start playing agar and the 2-3 hours disappears, the break in play every 10 mins makes people stop.  I know for me i play 2 10 min games and the break is handy because i can stop.

Again i dont know what the current goal for the site is.
560  Economy / Gambling / Re: Has this ever happened to you in Gambling or it's just me? on: October 06, 2015, 03:10:10 PM
This topic is about winning and loosing streak in sports betting..
This has happened many times with me (almost all the time) that whenever i win one bet in sports then there's a very high chance i will win next 4-5 bets too..i mean to say when my winning streak starts it goes for long but same thing happens when i lose just one bet then if i even try to place a very safe bet then also i lose continuously 3-5 times...does this happen to all the people or it's just me? Tongue

Your bets dont have memory of the last bet, the streaks are all in your head.  Each bet is 1 bet with its own EV, what happens at the outcome stage has no relevance to the EV of the original bet.

This shit can send you up the wall though, trying to keep track of if you are on a winning streak or losing streak etc.
