541  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this a good advice? on: November 20, 2023, 03:13:17 PM
It's a good decision because you can control yourself despite the intervention from your friend. Even you're a hardcore gambler who use every money you earn (but you can still able to survive and feed yourself), but your friend keep advising to not gamble all of your money, it's not a problem if you don't want to listen to him since life is a choice.

Like they say, quitters never win.  Grin

But, there's a chance quitting is the best decision. Tongue

542  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Avoid sending your BTC to the same wallet its coming out of - Quick reminder on: November 20, 2023, 02:33:14 PM
I wouldn't recommend typing a public address because the probability of typing it wrong is higher.
Just one alphabet wrong and you will lose your entire amount you sent to that address.
Yep, just copy paste, then check the last 3 digits and the middle too, having a same last 3-5 digits doesn't mean you're copied a correct address. Someone in this forum ever faced this before.

You can actually send bitcoin to the same address.
Could it be used to consolidate inputs? I only know send between address in a same wallet is possible.
543  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can a mega winner say no to public presentation? on: November 18, 2023, 12:36:48 PM
That is true, just like this article says: Mega Millions: Can a jackpot winner remain anonymous? Not in these states

It is their rule to announce name of the winner publicly. So if you're from the US and in a state that doesn't allow you to remain anonymous upon winning the mega lottery then that only means that you'll be publicly announced and exposed.
At the end of the day, all of the winners will agree to publicity their real name and face because money is everything Cheesy

The only one who care about their privacy is never gamble in offline casino as they aware anytime they will need to publish their identity. Just like how free coffee or free dish promotions in coffee shop, we need to do and follow their requirements.
544  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: November 18, 2023, 09:22:31 AM
Everton, which previously collected 14 points and was in 14th position in the standings, has now been thrown into the temporary relegation zone after being proven to have violated the FFP. The reduction of 10 points means that Everton now only get 4 points and they have to fight again to collect points in each match in order to be free from the relegation zone. This is the punishment that Everton must accept and it seems that they cannot do anything because the federation has decided that. I feel that Everton, who usually finish at the bottom of the table every season, now still have to repeat the same thing and of course they have to remain strong to get through this dark period.
Looking their' recent performance, I don't think they will relegated. I believe they will comeback, but after all Everton is just Everton, they can't going up to reach top 7 and will end near bottom position.

However I remember before this season started, many people were praise Burnley and they think Burnley could be a new contender, but they're currently stay at the lowest position lol.
545  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can a mega winner say no to public presentation? on: November 18, 2023, 09:15:04 AM
Yeah he can, but it will resulting he will not able to claim his winnings. Cheesy

Their money their rule, this phrase is unavoidable when you rely on centralized site. Even you've ask them before you win big amount of money, they can give an excuse if their owner or other third party force them to publicity the winner.
546  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: November 18, 2023, 09:09:12 AM
Although Im happy for Newcastle in the Champions League, I cant help but worry about them. Especially being in the dreaded Group F, their trip has been a wild ride. I didnt think they had a chance at first, like a lot of other people did, especially after that first game. They have been a nice surprise with how they've played since then, especially against teams like PSG. Even in such a tough group, they've shown that they can handle themselves.
More importantly they lose many players, they can only degrade to Europa League or get nothing. They can't get any new player because the transfer window still not yet open, I guess it's fine to lose as they already get experience, this is their first time to enter Champions League with the current players. Not many team make an outstanding achievement for their first league.
547  Economy / Economics / Re: Imaginary Future on: November 18, 2023, 06:11:19 AM
Include me to be one of them, but I'm not someone who always save every penny I earn.

Mostly I cook by myself because it's cheaper, than buy a cooked food. But I'm feel bored if I always eat my home cooked food as I already know the taste, so whenever I want to experience a new food, I will buy it.

I mostly in home to save money than going outside, but since build or maintain relationship with other people need to going out, I don't mind to spend money for that because it's an investment.
548  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What about Bitcoin satellite? on: November 18, 2023, 04:59:30 AM
I don't understand what did you mean, are you talk about Bitcoin's node? you can be a node, each node connected to one and another.

Or it's a project from Blockstream?, I read they can help to broadcast your transactions without relying on internet connection, but you need to purchase their satellite kits.
549  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: November 17, 2023, 01:20:24 PM
Bayern Leverkusen is currently a formidable and very promising team to win either trophies and I think that's their target this season, they play like they really want to end the season with a trophy because when we compare their performance in both leagues, they are doing really good topping at not leagues.
Imagine if Leverkusen can get a treble (winning in Bundesliga, Europa and DFB Pokal) this really a huge achievement for them since they haven't get any trophy since 1992. Do you think which is the easiest league from the three league I mentioned before? I choose Europa league because seeing Bayern Munich to lose looks impossible lol.
550  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you gamble till old age or not on: November 17, 2023, 01:07:18 PM
Nostalgia! Oh yeah, that's a good reason behind continuing gambling too for old people.
I am a nostalgic person. Why? I still prefer playing PSP, and PS1 games despite the fact that there are more better games in consoles in this era. Why? It brings back a lot of memories.
I do think it will have the same effect on old gamblers or those who are getting old. Let's say they have a favorite slot game today and even though they will be creating new ones in maybe the next 5-10 years, he will still keep on going back at that same game and just play around running it with small bets just to have some fun.
That may be why I answered here I will keep on playing or betting even in my old age. But I might prefer 1 or 2 bets only on sports and just cheer for my preferred team while watching the game with my bet on the line.
Yep nostalgia never ends, whenever you're free your brains will remind you with memories when you were young.

I also playing PS1 games, I'm curious which game you played as I've played many games. Castlevania, CTR, The Legend Of Dragoon, Chrono Cross, Bishi Bashi, Team Buddies, Legend Of Mana, Breath of Fire 4, Metal Slug, Monster Rancher 2, Digimon World 3 are my favorites. Cheesy

Although there are better games with outstanding graphic, but I just fell in love with the bad graphic in PS1 games lol.
551  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 17, 2023, 09:59:34 AM
Bayern Munich are interested because Eric Dier is capable of playing in the positions of central defender, defensive midfielder, and right-back. They need a player who can, even if he doesn't have many minutes at Toottenham.
He's cheap and experienced, that's why Bayern Munich want him. He will not able to enter the starting eleven, so he need to agree with that. Either he joined uncompetitive league or Bayern Munich as a substitute player.

Heung-min Son got injured during the Singapore match and Tottenham supporters must have started to get worried about the seriousness level of his condition. Because if Son is also out for like at least a month then Tottenham would be in big trouble. You know that Richarlison and Maddison are both injured as well. The closest expected date for one of them to recover is late December.  Sad
Let's bet Tottenham's opponents until late December. Cheesy
552  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to verified My Binance Account? on: November 17, 2023, 04:38:34 AM
Unfortunately I haven't verify my Binance account and never ever because Why KYC is extremely dangerous – and useless.

I guess asking through their live support is faster than asking through this forum, @OP you need to use your common sense.

My advice is stay away against centralized exchange.
553  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It's better to provide Quality and not Quantity... on: November 17, 2023, 04:06:58 AM
We are in a forum that provides more learning interaction than just creating gossips and spreading fake news.
This forum adopt free speech, even you create a gossip, rumor, spread fake news, conspiracy etc the forum will not 100% delete your post, infact there might be someone like about that and willing to give you merit since merit is subjective.

Busted!!! Any idea why he was banned in the first place?
He took someone else article without providing the original source which actually contradict what he said using his alt account.

554  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why Localbitcoin take this action ? on: November 16, 2023, 02:41:59 PM
Base on google, this is their reasons.

LocalBitcoins, one of the oldest and best-known Bitcoin exchanges, is closing after a decade of service, with the peer-to-peer platform citing the “ongoing very cold crypto-winter” as the reason for stopping operations.

But I don't think it's the reason because they exist since 2012 when Bitcoin price was below $1K and there was a dump in 2018, yet they were not shutdown at that time.

They were known as No KYC P2P, since they implement KYC mandatory rule on 2019, it's where they lost their customers.

Anyway, move this thread to Service Discussion section.
555  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: November 16, 2023, 02:28:16 PM
Inter is a strong opponent and in fact they have already qualified for the last 16 and it looks like they will not play with a full squad against Benfica because they have to rest several of their main players so that matches in the domestic league can still get consistent results. Moreover, maintaining the top of the standings in the domestic league is another priority that Inter must carry out.
I wonder what the result of the match in this group since the two upper teams are automatically qualified and the two under teams are automatically not qualified. So I guess both of the teams will play for fun, we might see many new players and strategy are being used here.

Wild guess: is there a chance of match fixing as it will not affect the result.
556  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What is the smallest amount of BTC I can transfer to my electrum wallet on: November 16, 2023, 12:58:58 PM
Not really sure what's the problem, the another possibility is you lack of coins to pay for the mining fee since someone created a thread where he need to send $20 for the mining fee.

How can I deposit the "missing" BTC amount?
Just click the receiving address, or there's no way to make deposit?
557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you track bulk Bitcoin transactions being carried out by whales? on: November 16, 2023, 12:40:01 PM
But daily traders can be impacted by this to large extent.
Definitely it's, any news related to Bitcoin even it's small might affect Bitcoin. Now the question, is there a lot people in this forum are actually traders? I see it's not since most people said they didn't follow or track bulk transactions.

If you ask "does bulk Bitcoin transactions affect Bitcoin price", you will get many "yes" answers.
558  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you gamble till old age or not on: November 15, 2023, 02:53:44 PM
It is possible that if there are no factors that force a gambler to stop gambling, the gambler will continue to gamble with their favorite game.
that's what old gamblers do, they only play one or two games. and consistently play it and have no interest in other games.
Maybe it will be a little different for young gamblers. exploring several games and even several casinos becomes natural. Indeed, there will be no age limit for this. Even for me personally, it is difficult to say that the target wants to stop gambling.
Even they want to stop gambling, they just can't because we're like feeling nostalgic and want to back in the old days where we were happy or enjoy for doing what we likes. You will still gamble for few times when you're really miss when you were young.

Just like me, sometime I watch someone play console game on youtube or I do play it by myself.
559  Economy / Economics / Re: The Thailand government will distribute money to its citizens. Economists critic on: November 15, 2023, 02:41:15 PM
If the people really get this real-fake money I wonder if the price of

rice and canned foods rise.
The problem isn't only that, but they will start to trust this real-fake money.

Then they will need policies to combat inflation.
Increase the interest rate, price control, adjust the tax rate etc that make people to give the money to banks/governments. It's a never ends problem, when the inflation rate drop, they will decrease the interest rate etc. They just switch a new policy and hold, then switch back to the old policy, repeat.
560  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a peer to peer method less popular than as an investment on: November 15, 2023, 01:58:53 PM
Even Satoshi itself agree if Bitcoin can be viewed as a commodity, so @OP what are you looking for? if you think Bitcoin should be used as a currency, start by yourself by purchasing foods where you need to spend your money regularly.

It's not make sense asking other people to use it as a currency when you're not do that.

Bitcoins have no dividend or potential future dividend, therefore not like a stock.

More like a collectible or commodity.
