541  Economy / Economics / Re: Russian Gas ban - A problem for Europe or suicide for Russia? on: December 05, 2022, 09:08:01 PM
Of course the most loss is Europe because gas supply is not easy and it is very difficult to find alternative energy for gas, especially many countries that are very dependent on Russian gas so that it becomes a strong bargaining value so that Europe does not dare to attack or invasion Russia.
there is a famous quote which says - and the life goes on
even if Russia cancel its deals and don't provide oil and gas to EU they will find some alternative resource.

I already have two teams in mind to win this world cup: France and Brazil. Watching Poland playing against France was among the best games I actually watched, and brazil vs. south Korea I knew deep down that they are no match for brazil after brazil won with 4 goals, with Neymar scoring a penalty just 13 minutes before the start time. I see so much fire in brazil and France to win this tournament. does are the two teams am supporting since my country did not qualify, may next world cup Nigeria might just surprise people.
I believe there are other two team which have great spark these are morocco and Portugal
Tomorrow we will be able to find out which of the two team from Morocco Vs Spain and Portugal vs Switzerland will be coming ahead.

Most of them were fired by Elon, not resigned, and I don't find it too confusing when a new director tries to fire old employees and find a way to replace his employees. This is a normal thing that happens in businesses and I would call it a tradition in companies.  He is the best businessman in the world so I think he definitely has a plan and preparation for twitter. He is changing it, let's wait and see if it will be another success or failure for twitter.
Many employees have been fired since Elon took over as owner of Twitter, but it usually happens in a company because old employees are no longer needed or replaced with new employees. I wish twitter was better in Elon's hands, but so far there haven't been any significant improvements to twitter other than implementing an $8 fee for the blue stick.

Not only that, maybe there are employees not being fired by Elon but just decided to quit their job because they don't like their new boss.

And then there are employees just getting fired even if they like their job, but they don't have a choice.

And then Elon admitted that he lay off a lot of employees to cut cost because he just spent tons of money acquiring it so the operational expense should be cut right away. And then the $8 fee for being blue badge is another way to make money ASAP.
there is a huge lay off being done by the great companies.
I dont know why is it happening but the things are not coming in control the COVID and Russian war and afghan war has brought so much destruction in the world
544  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you agree that an employer should hire employees who are smarter than him? on: December 05, 2022, 08:58:35 PM
I was listening to a YouTube video by a famous business man and he was saying that he prefers to hire employees who are smarter than him. Do you agree with this style of working? What are the possible intentions behind doing this? Isn't their fear that these smart employees can steal ideas from office or get client details and then start their own companies? What is your view regarding this?

Assuming the employer = company's head,
I think he may be lucky if the employees are trustworthy people otherwise they could outsmart him, cheat and take advantage of the company.
Companies heads need to be ahead of their employees to be able to guide and use them to run the companies properly. The problem is that a lot of people don't really deserve to be companies heads so they look for people who are ahead of them to manage, which should not be so as such employees will become the actual heads and control/use the employer. The head needs to understand the business well and be fully in charge of his company.
getting a good job is a challenge and getting an honest employee is a bigger challenge
In my 16 years of service - I have seen people coming and going being dishonest to the company
But hiring smarter people is a good option but have a back up as well

Surprisingly, at the end of the second half, Korea managed to score! It's fair to say that this goal was quite beautiful! Usually they call it a 'prestige goal' because it was scored in a rout and at the end, hopefully they didn't piss off Brazil too much and they don't get a few more goals at the end of the match Grin

We call such goals "goals of honour". Cheesy Korea scored the honor goal but they can't score more. Brazil played so dominantly in the first half that they didn't have to do anything in the second half. They could score another 4 goals if they wanted and needed, but they slowed down in the second half. I didn't expect any surprises on this round, and it didn't. Brazil really plays like the tournament favourites. It's very difficult to stand in front of them. If Argentina passes the Netherlands, this match against Brazil will be very, very difficult. Even though I want Messi to win the trophy, the odds of winning it don't seem very high right now. Even France can't possibly stop such a Brazilian team. Even the backup players of this Brazil team are very high quality.
emphatic victory by Brazil - The tournament has started for Brazil - 497 stadium was roaring with Brazilian supporter in canary yellow. The Brazilian waved the banner of Pele in the stadium
Sad day for South Korea.
546  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 05, 2022, 08:51:53 PM
South Korea has had their first goal so far, and alot of goal opportunities missed as well, I think the south Korean team really improved in the second half of play, if they had played this good in the first half of the game, they wouldn't have suffered 4 goals from Brazil.
But all the same, its all good, I was never expecting South Korea to win anyway, but I was never expecting them to suffer such amount of goals the first half, their game play improved significantly in the second half of the game, this makes me want to believe that they underrated Brazil at first.
last few minutes of the game and Korea was unable to score more goals
But at least they did good game - today is not the Korea day. Brazil took the lead in first 10 mins of the game.

There is no moral justification for the US to stick its nose into Russian and Ukrainian affairs

Sure there is.

Ukraine and US are allies and an agreement was made in 1991 that included US military support for Ukraine.  It's also in US best interest as more democracies and fewer autocracies are always good for American/andy western countries National Security.

It's also in the best interest of the world to prevent a mad man from invading countries without consequence.  We learned that lesson in the 1940s after the world looked the other way in 1939 while Germany annexed Poland.

The USA stick its nose in every country affair - recently there was a big protest happened and is still going on in Pakistan for US sending cyper to change Pakistani PM and that resulted in unrest in the whole region USA twenty year war has brought so much destruction in Afghanistan and the region and now they want Russia to have peace with Ukraine

The U.S. and global inflation rates in 2022 reached their greatest levels since the early 1980s. A number of factors, including the COVID pandemic and Russia's invasion of Ukraine, contributed to the quick surge in world prices; there is no single cause, though.

According to World of Statistics, Inflation rate :

CNN - AMazon - Twitter all the big companies are laying off their employee
The protests are not going to help - one should find ways to earn money to gain the financial freedom there is no other solution and there's no other way.
549  Other / Politics & Society / Re: High inflation is causing GLOBAL protests on: December 04, 2022, 11:24:38 PM
Be your own best advocate. Although everyone is complaining so much about about inflation but holiday shoppers are at the peak for the shopping.
I think many people are used to complaining all the time - but obviously they are shopping and dining out all the time even the inflation is at the peak.
Eating and shopping are part of everyone's life needs. And under any circumstances everyone obviously has to eat and drink and shop for himself because that is the most important part while we are alive. But in conditions of inflation or other similar calamities, everyone can reduce their spending as long as what they need can still be enjoyed sufficiently even though they don't have to cut their portion of food every day.
in our country people have stopped hanging out and long drives and unnecessary travel.
I don't leave home for one thing to do - I go when there is a list of things to be done. This way I save fuel and my time and my effort cost as well

What the Russians are doing with the civilian population of Ukraine is increasingly convincing the West of the need to destroy Russia. This bloody monster from the era of lizards has no place in the modern world.
Why are you so much against Russia. Even if you say they don't have any place for them in modern - this would not change the fact that Russia is a powerful state and they have moved the world in last few months. And they will keep showing their strength like USA and China and Isreal in coming days

Nah, the reality is that it is not entirely from your abilities, Semar.
Luck comes into play in many occasions. You could have followed the footsteps of these rich people from the quotes you read, read every books on how to save money properly, but you might not even make it work in your end. Your network and social circle also comes into play. They are surely waaaaay many untold stories from these rich people in the internet that they just do not want expose to the public, well because of course it disadvantage for them.

It is not all about "hard work".
Agree into this point which i do agree on this one, no one really share off their secrets yet this would really be might ending up their competition and its true that there are lots of untold stories with those books

and those words of wisdom or knowledge they do called.Hard work wont be enough but at least you do have tried your best on attaining your goals in life. Its true that it is really somewhat need up some mix of luck
for whatever things that you are trying to achieve and on what you are trying out to reach on.

Being inspired wont really be that bad, but dont make yourself do really come into a point on where you are really that expecting that much or really that
pertains that you would certainly hit up those things that they had achieved. This isnt how the reality works and you should really make yourself aware
of it.
the whole life we are all learning our lesson
everytime we learn a lesson - the life teaches us another lesson more powerful next time. But I think one should keep oneself away from the bad people and learn  from other people's mistake too.

We are used to live without electricity in summer and without gas in winter. but we survive and we have found the alternative. That is what the human beings do

Congratulations to England on their 3:0 win against Senegal, I met the match in its 90et minutes, but I believe it was a good play for the England, I am not surprised at the way the game turned out though, Senegal is just a small team compared to England, Senegal already did very well in making it to this round 16, many, including myself thought they would drop in the group stage, but indeed, they have played very well so far.
Senegal was unable to win this match - I was betting on Senegal - I lost my bet too.
You are right - England was lucky and Senegal were unlucky for losing the match - Good luck to England in Quarterfinal

First goal for Argentina from Messi, that was a great goal
Australia was a kind of proving to be strong to conceive goal in the first 30 minutes of the game, but finally Argentina legend Lionel Messi had done it again.

Despite the goal Argentina needs to put more pressure to get a second a goal in order to secure the game, hence what happened to them during the Saudis match might repeat again and in this stage right now, there's no next opportunity to correct the mistake because this is knock out stage.
half time - do players take bath as well during half time - because when they come out they look so fresh
Do they eat as well. what do they do during the halftime?
just freshen up? or they eat too?

First goal for Argentina from Messi, that was a great goal
yeah first goal by Messi from Argentina . The goal was due to a mistake by Australia.  Due to a foul by an Australian player, Argentina got a good chance to take control of the ball near the penalty area.  And Argentina took advantage of that opportunity to score a goal through Messi . it was soo great
Australian players are after MEssi - they want to injure him so that he can leave the ground and they get a chance to. play
This is my prediction

First goal for Argentina from Messi, that was a great goal
Messi Rocks - Aussie Shocked
For approx 35 min Aussie were defensive and were not playing to their fullest - I think Australia have to show their full strength
557  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 03, 2022, 07:32:30 PM
Argentinian players are passing the ball very nicely to each other . Australian players are not getting the ball at their feet too much.
Possession doesn't win games, Argentina need to quickly get a goal just like Netherlands did earlier to prove their dominance. In this first half so far, I have noticed that the wing that Di Maria plays for Argentina which has been one of their most effective wing breaking through defenses is not the same and as effective as we have seen, the Argentina coach has decided to rest Di Maria due to the thigh injury he picked against Poland, so they decided to rest him from their starting eleven. I hope it doesn't become a problem for them, because with what I see and how defending the strategy of this Australian side, If they score first, Argentina will struggle to equalize.

source

That is correct -both the teams are unable to attack and there are no fouls yet both the teams are playing fair not to give the other team a chance
but Argentine seems to have more control of the game
558  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 03, 2022, 07:27:44 PM

I also think Argentina will win this match, but we should not forget that Australia beat Tunisia and Denmark. Although neither of these teams qualified for the 1/8, they were strong opponents. Although if you watch how masterfully Argentina defeated Poland and Mexico, Australia will not be a difficult problem for them. They have no right to make a mistake, as they did against Saudi Arabia.
well, Argentina should be able to win in this round of 16 match. and we can see in the first round that has just started, Argentina can control the game. Argentina continues to control the ball. just a matter of time I guess. and I will estimate or predict 2-0 in this match for Argentina win. And what Argentina needs to pay attention to is Australia's pattern of counterattacks which can sometimes be a problem for the defense.
I think Argentina will do three goals while Australie will not be able to make a single goal - the whole game is controlled by Argentine.

yeah right. and it's only a matter of time. but Australia's defense is pretty solid I think. so the first task for the Argentinian players is to be able to penetrate the solid Australian defense. although Argentina continued to dominate the game. but as we can see the Australian defense has not been penetrated by Argentina. while Argentina is sometimes careless in the area of defense. for being too focused on attack. this can be very dangerous. because this reminds me a little of the Argentina vs Saudi Arabia match. at that time Argentina was too focused on attacking and the defense area became weak.
Aussie are in defensive style today
They just don't want them to score a goal. 25 min and the game is slow needed a Saudi spirit in game

Quote
1. Don't spend without a plan

      - Many people don't care or just don't care about spending. They don't care if they have extra money or if they have money left over until
the end of the month. Then they will complain that they don't have any more money because they have no idea how and where they are
spending it. And how many times have you gone shopping or grocery shopping without a list, which ended up costing you more because
      you didn't have a plan?
Because if you want to save something or have some money, you should keep having plans when it comes to what you buy.

It's people's mentality. We always have an excuse when we spend more than what we should've. We always think of excuses like "I'll get my pay check soon and I still have some savings" , "I am just rewarding my self", or any other excuses we can think of when we are spending too much. There's nothing wrong or enjoying what you've earned, however, if this kind of mentality goes on it becomes a bad habit. If you want to get rich, you need to focus on saving all the money you can, invest wisely, and don't ever think that money will continuously flow without hard work.
The best point is not to invest suddenly and I would like to add one more thing to it.
Don't trust suddenly!
I have been in so much trouble for approx 6 months because of the sudden investment and trust

Portugal are a young team with little experience of Ronaldo and Pepe. They are favourites to win this trophy and this match against Uruguay will be a big test but Uruguay aren't a team they were before too many old players in the squad. I predict a Portugal win and they joining Brazil and France in the 16. Uruguay and Ghana will fight for the second spot in the last game.

Brazil had a decent game but they weren't creating many clear cut chances. The Swiss defence was superb and once again Yan Sommer proved to be one of the most under rated Goal keepers around
I am betting on Portugal - my favourite is Ronaldo but he looks tense tonight . I wish he performs well today and win the match
I can't afford watching Portugal lose this match!
