India won yesterday’s match, it was a great and intense match, we couldn’t understand who was the winner of this match until the last ball, the match went to the last ball, this was a suspenseful match.

When India's innings started so we thought that we hear after a few minutes that Australia won the match against India but Surya Kumar Yadav didn’t want this thing will happen so that’s why he led India to victory, and he performed in yesterday’s match as he did, because in whole World Cup their performance was very poor. Surya Kumar is the main reason for this Indian victory.

In Australia squad, Smith and Stonis are the only one that have played recent ODI world cup while in India only SKY is the one that has participated in recent ODI world cup. So both squads have fresh players. The first T20I was high scoring game and SKY was just too good yesterday 80(42). Josh Inglis had an excellent innings 110(50) but it was of no use for Australia.

Well.. actually I don't think that dew played any significant part in the finals. We are diverting from the main factor. Indian batsmen failed to put up a decent total. 280 would have been a winning total at Ahmedabad, but 240 was below par. Given this, even if dew was not there I really doubt whether India would have won the match. BTW, I find it strange that Indians are complaining about the dew factor, given the fact that they had the home advantage. If anyone should complain, it should be the visiting teams such as Australia.

Indians thought they would be able to give big targets just like they were giving in there last 10 matches but apart from Rohit Sharma no one was able to attack Aussie bowlers. I do agree that Indians should have gone to give target of 280/290. Indians bowlers have good start of the innings but it was Head day and no bowler could do any damage to him.

Australia was number 10th in the point table at some point and from there, they won the World Cup. Did you know the fact is that Pat Cummins is the first Australian captain to win the World Cup as a bowler? They have played eight World Cup finals and they have won six of them which is incredible. The day was not for India. They have played better cricket in this tournament but the final result is unfortunate. Team India had a similar situation against Australia in the group-stage match. But they managed it well and won the match from there.

After 65 years Aussies have named a fast bowler a captain i.e. Pat Cummins. Ray Lindwall was the previous fast bowler who captained Australia in one test match in 1956. But I think Australia as a unit is so strong that it doesn't matter who is there captain. Since 1999 Aussies are dominating cricket in all formats, there domestic setup is so mature that there are always players available to replace the specialists one upon there retirement.

ODI World Cup is over and we have some test cricket coming up. PCB announced 18 member squad for 3 test matches to be played in Australia starting from 14th of December. Shan Masood will lead the squad and there will be two debutants in the squad i.e.  Saim Ayub and fast bowler Khurram Shahzad. It will be a big test for Shan Masood to lead a test side in Australia. Naseem Shah and Harir Rauf are not part of the squad while wicket keeper will likely be Sarfraz.

Maybe but I'm not sure of the winning result at that moment. Until yesterday, the Australian team had won only 3 of the last10 matches against India, so the chances of winning the Indian team were high. The betting odds also favored India. But what I think that India team was rushing for quick runs early. Had they played for one, there would have been more runs. Because India's run rate was good in the first 10 overs. But they failed to prolong their journey with wickets falling. I expected more runs from Shreyas Iyer and Suryakumar Yadav. Because they contributed more when the team need.

10th over was turning point of the game when Rohit Sharma got out. India tried to play like they were playing in there last 10 games i.e. score quick runs. In world cup final there is rearly a target of over 300 runs. The final has its own pressure and a target of 280 will be quite decent on that surface. Everyone was favoring India for yesterday but its Aussies who once again proved that they are better cricketing sides.

Oh well, it's not like he's the first captain to resign without any drama and considering how PCB works, he won't be the last.

Wahab Riaz and Hafeez getting a big role in PCB looks strange to me. Last year these guys were playing PSL and guess one of em already had his name drafted for the next season, i could be wrong but it's a hilarious situation if they feature in the PSL.

Replacing Babar was not an issue but replacing him with players that are not performing or not even part of squad is a concern. Normally with new captains  we have hopes but not with Shaheen and Shan.

Wahab Riaz is currently the care taker minister of sports in province Punjab and along that he is given the role of Chief selector of Pakistan cricket team. He will also play in Peshawar Zalmi under captaincy of Babar Azam. Normally such posts are given to some experienced plays or those who have some administrative experience but Wahab Riaz is too young for this role. Don't know what links Wahab Riaz has in Pakistan to get such key posts without having a good cricket career.

If India had won the last match, they would have had a chance to win the World Cup from unbeaten but they did not score as expected in the last match. The toss played an important role in the final match. I think Australia's chasing decision after winning the toss was the main reason for their win. Instead of accepting the notion that batting on a dewy pitch would not go well but they decided to chase which eventually brought them win. But if India had batting pitch then they could have won the match but it didn't happen. This World Cup will remember Maxwell, there will also be Travis Head. India had chances to win but Australia snatched the win away from them.

I think its just Australia who won 2003 and 2007 world cup without losing any game. India were not as good as they used to be in there last 10 games. After losing three quick wickets there is 67 runs partnership between Kohli and KL but they never attacked Aussie bowlers. KL took 107 balls for his 67 runs. Moreover SKY wasn't able to perform towards the end. India was40 to 50 runs short of what would be an ideal ODI WC final target.

Indian were favorites for this final but things went in favor of Australia. Except Rohit Sharma no Indian batsmen was able to go after Aussies bowlers today. Kohli and KL scored runs but that was not enough. Its Aussied 6th World Cup trophy and they truly deserve that title. ICC must think about holding this lengthy format world cup next time and must focus on T20 World Cup.

Australia once again showed that they can perform well anywhere in the world. Today they beat India infront of 125000 home crowd which is not an easy thing to do. Aussies lost first two games of the tournament but they bounced well. India started well with Rohit Sharma aggression but wasn't able to continue that and kept losing wickets regularly. Aussies were just too good tonight.

It's Australia that has won ODI world cup for the 6th time. India fantastic throughout the tournament but wasn't able to perform well when it's required the most. Travis Head the hero for Australia, played most amazing innings of his life today along with Marnus Labuschagne. Disappointing performance from Indian batting though there bowlers got 3 early wickets but wasn't able to grab more after that.

Congratulations Australia and well played India

No one expected that Indian squad would showed very poor performance in their batting inning in today match. They performed previously very excellent but they disappointed their cricket fans with such a bad effort. They just made a total 240 defending target in 50 overs and we all know that against South Africa match, Indian squad defended a small target and at that time, target was around a score of 200. But at this moment, their bowling inning performance is also not going to be good. They picked up two batter of Australian squad David Warner and Mitchell Marsh. If they manage to picked up a few more batters at low scores then their chances of victory will increase more. Now only few main batters like Maxwell, Head and Smith are left in Australian squad on crease. Australia squad need 194 scores in 43 overs at current time.

The match is very much balanced between both teams. Australia lost 3 quick wickets and that brought India back in the game. Its now all on Indian bowlers to win the game. India scored 183 runs in final of 1983 world cup final and they still won that game against WI. India today is also relying on bowlers to lift the title. Australia at the moment need 148 runs in 33 overs with 7 wickets in hands.

Australia came back well after the initial damage done by Rohit Sharma 47(31). 16 overs gone and India are 101/3. Australia can only win if they restrict India from reaching 300. All eyes are now on Kohli, if he can stay till 35th over then India defiantly have a chance to give big target. Australia on the other hand will be looking to get wicket of Kohli as quickly as they can.
553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: November 18, 2023, 05:08:36 PM
I think we should ignore his statement because he also predict from start of the tournament that final will be against Australia and paksitan but he was a bit right but not completely, but I believe that it will be a strong fight between them because indian bowler is playing at next level but but but India has alot chance to choke in big stage as they mostly did but if they delivered something new this time then they will be much more dangerous than current look while according to stats  Australia are much more better side in final and semifinals so it's really tough to predict any team from now but will be predict on day performances. Because it will decide the winner

Tomorrow is a big day for both India and Australia. The way India has played so far, it seems difficult that Australia will be able to beat them in the final. It may be possible that India choke tomorrow as there are many examples from past where an underdog won the title. My wish was that someone who hasn't won ODI WC till date should win this one but both SA and NZ are out in semis.

Although it is not my responsibility, I am trying hard enough to give my friend an idea about investing but some of his questions bother me. No matter how much I tried to convince him about investing, he just kept asking me one question over and over again that if I can make a profit from my investment then why can't he make a profit from his investment if he invests. Every time I asked him to learn about investing first, he misunderstood me and told me I didn't want him to invest. Still patient and tried to convince him, I shared with him my beginnings in convincing him about investments. I told him like this that you are getting my support in starting but when I started investing I didn't get other's support or any other investor explained me about investing like this but still I am successful in investing only because of my efforts. I told him you will get all investment support from me but you have to try.

When I ask him about long term investment he tells me if my investment is profitable now why should he hold it long. I cannot convince him that investing is not as easy as he thinks it is. It's not like I invested and then I sold my investment but I invested and again when I got money I increased my investment that's how I increased my investment and held it for a long time only then I am now somewhat successful from my investment. Maybe it will take me some time to explain to this friend that I have to hold on to it for a long time because if I get excited about the questions he asks, I might not be able to give him a full understanding of investing. Realizing this, even after he asked the same question several times, I kept calm and tried to explain it to him again.

Your intentions are good but if somebody is not understanding you despite your hard work then better spend time on someone who is willing to understand what you are trying to say.
Investment is not a bed of roses that you invest one day and next day or week you will get the profit. Those who are successful investors today have spend initial time and effort in understanding how this works. Bitcoin is a good investment even then we have to device a strategy that works for us.
One more thing is, we all have different way of looking at things so it is not necessary that something that work for you will work for me.

South Africans have concluded there innings by givgn a target of 212 to Aussies. Only David Miller along with Heinrich Klaasen showed some resistance in front of Australian bowlers both have a partnership of 95 runs. After losing 4 top order batters quickly SA have done good to play 49.4 overs. I dont think there is much chance for SA to win today's game with such tiny target. Starc who was expensive throughout the tournament has done good in today's game with figure 10-1-34-3.

I am not sure what good this can do to the Pakistani team. He will be replaced by whom? The most prominent name that I am hearing is that of Shaheen Shah Afridi, but I am quite skeptical about his role as the captain. Even as an opening bowler, there have been numerous occasions when he crumbled under pressure. I would rather go with someone with a bit more maturity, such as Fakhar Zaman or Mohammad Rizwan. At least I would prefer a batsman rather than one of the bowlers. Shaheen Shah needs more time to learn maturity.

It was all because of his father in law (Shahid Afridi) efforts. Shaheen was Pakistan main bowler in this world cup and he along with Haris was a total disaster.
PCB also appointed new Chief Selector i.e Wahab Riaz and Muhammad Hafeez was given the role of Director of Men's cricket team. All coaching staff is replaced or few already resigned. That's why Mikey Arthur was coaching Pakistan team via Zoom session. He knew that he can be sacked on any fine morning.

Babar stepping down from captaincy is good for him. Having said that, it's kind of hilarious and surprising to see that within an hour of his resignation, PCB appointed new captains for all formats. It's like everything was pre planned and they were ready with everything.

No discussion or pretending to set up a committee whatsoever, just another normal day at PCB's office.

He probably was given option that you step down yourself or we remove you from captaincy. Everything was already planned.

Babar Azam step down as captain from all three formats and guess who has replaced him as captain? Shaheen Afridi will captain Pakistan in T20 while Shan Masood will captain Pakistan in Test format. Shaheen shah has a strong lobby in PCB who is backed by his father in law Shahid Afridi. Despte his poor performance in ODI World Cup he has given the role of captaincy in T20 format. Shan Masood who was not even part of Pakistan test team is now included as captain.

South Africa are called chokers for a reason. After fighting hard in group stages they are once again at the verge of elimination. Starc and Hazlewood just destroyed the top order batting lineup of South Africa, 44/4 in 14 overs. I don't understand whats the benefit of playing so well at group stages if you have to do this in Semis? South Africa only hope is rain which has stopped the play right now. There must a reserve day for this semi final also but I don't know play on reserve day will resume from scratch or from where its interrupted.

The game is very much over for New Zealand, they need 149 runs on 70 balls and 6 wickets remaining. Daryl Mitchell is well set batsmen on 113 runs but asking rate has gone high to 12 runs per over. What a tournament Muhammad Shami is having, 4 more wickets today and 20 wickets so far in this tournament.
560  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: November 15, 2023, 09:53:46 AM
India on fire after 15 overs they are 118/1. Current projected score is 326 runs and if India get there then it won't be easy for NZ to chase that target in front of mighty Indian bowling lineup. India top line up is fully geared up to play aggressive cricket and at the moment India is favorite. So far six 6s have been hit in first 15 overs.
