Yes, the pitch is slow in pace and bounce. It is difficult to bat on this wicket, but I think under lights, the pitch will help batters. You are right. The difference between Indian and Australian players is that the Aussie players did their homework, while the Indians took everything for granted. While batting, the Indians were trying to smash each and every ball for a boundary. That sort of strategy was not suitable in this track, and that too against the quality Australian bowlers. On the other hand, Labuschagne is batting very patiently, and providing good support for Travis Head. KL Rahul tried the same approach while India was batting, but then he ran out of partners.

I think that one thing we missed is the Australian chosen to bowl first on this pitch. It was a brave decision and a very right one. Remember at the time of the toss, Rohit Sharma said that he would have batted first anyway. So Australians read the pitch well, bowl with a plan and put an extreme efforts in the field.

Also, one trick missed by the Indian batsmen that they failed to spot was that Australia were playing with 4 bowlers and the Indians should have taken advantage of the missing 5th bowler from the Australian team. But they went into a nutshell and started scoring so slow, with no boundaries for overs and overs.

Finally, as we proceeded down the chase, the pitch went easy and also with no score to defend, it was an easy chase for the Australian and a heartbreak for the home team.
