541  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you see a gambling review website that has its own gambling website? on: January 05, 2024, 02:51:57 PM
am asking this question because, for me, there could be a possible conflict of interest here.

As a review site running its own gambling site, there might be a concern that they could potentially undermine their competitors on their website to boost their own standing in the competition. This could involve making biased or false statements to praise their own website.

While I'm not certain if this is happening in the real world, it raises the question of whether you would trust a review website in such a case.
Well it's quite obvious what the answer is, because even now that most casino don't have their own review site, cases like manipulation of review opinion is still done at a very wide margin Because I believe some casino actually even pay off some reviews site to actually boost their status on the website making them stand out. Although I don't know if any casino own any review site that is widely known and popular for gamblers to go and check insight about casino but am very certain if they do they will definitely not make it widely known so gamblers won't have such ill opinion about them being biased about their actual rating the website.
542  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How often do you win? on: January 04, 2024, 10:10:28 PM
Well for starters I don't like getting influenced by people winnings and that's why I don't follow people predictions because I believe the moment I play it, it won't work as it's worked for the person and would get me worried and I don't want to add anything that would stress me in gambling habits. I can't say my winning are more than my losses but I think I can say am well placed in the position of someone who actually wins on a steady.
543  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: January 04, 2024, 10:01:59 PM

However, it is clear that a rich investor who is not that serious to invest aggressively but invest some amount without being consistent will likely be behind the poor committed investor because his bitcoin portfolio size will not be up to the the poor investor in 20yrs time like you stated and before you know it due to the compound profit in the poor investor bitcoin, he might even get almost as rich as the inconsistent rich investor. This is the power that the longer your bitcoin investment and portfolio size is the better opportunity of you have to be successful and even get richer than those rich people who didn't invest in bitcoin.
That's a cool way to put it, but I think I will narrow this down to the fact of seriousness or commitment because some poor folks that lack these virtue can also fail to hold, being poor isn't actually a motive for them to hold for long and being rich doesn't make you reluctant to hold for long, but I totally understand your point though but Micheal saylor is one rich fuck that have continued buying and stacking Bitcoin despite the fact that he has lots of money and Bitcoin also. Although like JJG was implying the order reluctancy tend to be more on rich fellows but a share portion of these poor folks too are lazy when they lack the sight to see a prosperous future in keeping or continually buying and holding Bitcoin.
544  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: January 04, 2024, 09:50:07 PM
El Salvador is ironically one of the countries where its citizens do not have access to a bank account, but a cell phone and Internet connection have a higher percentage.
I appreciate what their president did to legalize Bitcoin as a legal tender on their country El Salvador. It's a slap to the face for banks that it's citizens has no access to them but has access to Bitcoin. But the only problem with this is the high fees but if it is fixed in the future then I think they are like living in paradise where other countries are struggling on legalizing Bitcoin.
I think that's the downside to this wonderful innovation and that's why it's said everything has disadvantage and advantage. Well not only the El Salvador community that is facing this high fee issue but every Bitcoiner on earth and that's why another solution should be put in place to handle this issue. Although I know that the lightning network has set to handle such cases of fee but the adoption is really slow although I don't know for the case of its use in El Salvador but I say this because of the ratio of its use here. I hope El Salvador adoption of Bitcoin as legal tender will suddenly pave way to other countries to look into how beneficial the use of Bitcoin in their nation can be.
545  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in gambling experts predictions? on: January 04, 2024, 10:01:16 AM
I do not trust any experts and this applies not only to gambling as even if someone has received an expert title for his past predictions it does not mean that his future predictions will be 100% correct. As we can see people are often wrong, so when making any decisions based on someone else's opinion, keep in mind that all financial risks are borne by you, not the expert you listened to. He bears only reputational risks.
Exactly my thought, but some folks tend to believe this so called expert to an extent that they might possibly stake the actual sure prediction given to them with a huge significant amount of money all in the name that the prediction is supposed 100% assurity. In gambling there is nothing like an assured winning or prediction although there might be cases of the so called getting his prediction correct but it's never a guarantee that he might get the next one correct or the one after that one.
546  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 04, 2024, 09:54:45 AM
Chelsea still have a chance to win a title this season despite having a really bad form meanwhile. I mean the EFL Cup title by the way. Because they have reached the semi finals and they will probably won't have big issues against Middlesbrough as well. However the main threat there will be Liverpool as they would also eliminate Fulham to reach the final stage.  Sad

I would expect Liverpool to be as determined as Chelsea to win this title honestly. Because Klopp is also trying to make a big progress after an inadequate level of performance in the last season. But let's see. Chelsea had better give their best for the title.
Like you already stated the likes of Liverpool are already there and it will very hard for the likes of Chelsea to actually defeat Liverpool most especially if the two had the final show down. I think that middlesbrough is also a very big challenge for this inconsistent Chelsea team but the fact is that there is hope anyways since there are not yet out of the competition. With the things have turn out for this Chelsea team, the EPL league cup would be a nice compensation for the poor performance and possibly poor finish to the premier league season this year.

I will be definitely convinced that the man is a computer programmer or have many degree in such area's
I indeed have no formal education or training in a cryptography, programming, tech, math, or any remotely related fields, and I would say my coding skills are distinctly average. Cheesy

I would also love to diversify my self in terms of different knowledge but the major things is that I have tried reading and watching article about coding
I'm afraid I don't have any big secret to reveal. All I have ever done to learn about technology is read, tinker, and experiment. I tend not to watch videos for education on any topic because I don't learn that way, but you might be different.
Well this is a Party pooper 🥺🥺, really expected to hear some kind of secret formula like the one in the krusty crab 😁😁 but it's seem you are just naturally gifted.
Quote
Now I act as a part time job clown, because cryptography doesn't pay that much, now I wear a clown costume to make people laugh in hopes of them tipping me some sats when BHC implements his tip system via LN in the near future. Lol
That's one hell of a side hustle, I think I will take it to note that I will never try this type of work over here and moreover no one like being laugh at from where am from 😁😁

People always do not do what they have studied. They might be expert in other sectors as well. For example, I studied social science but I am kind of an expert in agriculture. It's because I live in a village and I grew up watching how farmers do these things and my father was a farmer himself. I used to help him with his work. But, being an expert in coding and understanding cryptography and how it works isn't everyone's cup of tea.
That I can relate to very well, I mean there are so many person that actually end up doing what is not their profession and many of them actually end up being very good at it, some persons learn things very fast and can actually be called jack of many trade.
548  Economy / Gambling discussion / Does the tension make you take risk that are sometimes worth it? on: January 03, 2024, 01:53:41 PM
We all know that gambling sometimes can be fun and something not, even if we  blatantly claim here that we do gamble alone for the fun purpose 🙄🙄. Truth be told majority of person actually gamble because of the possibility that they can earn some profits from the act and as we all know it , not all the time the end result is what we expected. Although am not an addicted gambler but I can say I do my fair share of gambling activities sometimes and what I have observed is that sometimes I actually make some hard calls that turn out to be fruitful when ever am tenced but the results may differ for different individuals though.

So I would like to know your own experience when making or taking risk in gambling under pressure.

If Newcastle management had added talented players to the squad before the start of the season, we might not have seen their decline.

Newcastle become a rich club in the EPL, but players are still not sure about Newcastle's future potential. If this season Newcastle can improve its performance and at least can finished in 4th position, maybe in the summer transfer window, Newcastle can find better players than at the start of this season. Because there are prospects shown by Newcastle if they successfully compete in the UCL for two consecutive seasons.
Well if you come to look at it, they have actually tried very well themselves although they have the money like you said and having money is something like an advantage because they can buy the players they want but you can credit the management of the team because they have done exceedingly well compared to teams like Chelsea who had all the money and bought players but still can't put the Working formula together.
551  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and health concern on: January 02, 2024, 04:59:52 PM
Something like this happens inside a casino it is very harmful to health. Not all casinos have emergency medical facilities even though the people inside the casino will help a little delay can lead to bigger problems. That's why you should think about your health before gambling. That is one thing that should not be done to avoid the destruction of our lives that I would be better off doing. Better not to go to those casinos.
Yeah that's true one should definitely think of their health before gambling because if you are having health issues especially one that has to do with the heart and plus in case you are a gambler that's always expect returnsz then you would definitely be affected when the results don't go your way. I remembered my friend almost has an heart attack when he found out that the game he played with huge money when at a lost and he had put all hopes since the game was assured of a positive result.

554  Other / Meta / Re: New Year = New Password (...and new you, too!) on: January 01, 2024, 09:42:27 PM
Happy New Year Everyone!

I've been thinking for a while now that it's probably time to change my password.  Then, when I logged back in I see 2FA is now a thing so I thought I'd make the suggestion that others consider changing their passwords.  Besides, how many times do you have your bank or email account (or work for that matter) "suggesting" you change your password?  Quite often I would imagine.

Set your password to ten to twelve characters - but not ones that are only found on your phone (otherwise you'll be stuck logging on on you cell phone)  - source a random password generator app and don't use words or phone numbers/birthdays.  (which app do you use?)

As to New Years resolutions - I tend not to make any but am keen to hear what yours are.  In the past, I've tried reading all those books that have been gifted to me over the years.  Read some of them, but not all.  Anyone make weight loss resolutions or quite drugs/smoking/vaping/drinking and fail miserably?

What about home renovations?  Or getting in contact with long lost family members or old flames?
I don't know about you but I think the new year resolution is something that is actually set up or done by someone to see to it that he accomplished or one on his weak part in his life and that's why many people have seen that the new year resolution is a something of must but their is one major thing though and thats the fact of if actually they can actually meet up and see to it that their oaths or should say resolution is achieved.

As for the password change I don't believe in changing ma password frequently be it any case because you might actually end up getting confused on the particular password used.
555  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥🔥🔥 BC.GAME - CASINO AND SPORTSBOOK | $1,000 GIVEAWAY LIVE! 🔥🔥🔥 on: January 01, 2024, 09:35:16 PM
The first thing I did, after I noticed the change of password request, was for me to check areas where my email was logged in, which I confirmed to be only on my old Android device and that of my new iOS and PC, which I have to log out of my old Android device, which I don't make use of again.

To the person who asked if I have funds on my account: That's personal, but the funds that I have there are very little, and it's not worth it for someone to hack and move them out in any way. I disregarded the email since it was not requested by me, and I have not been able to receive any of them again. My activities still remain the same.

And I also think this issue, if it's not from any scan-casino that I might have signed in on, could be on my old browser, where I used to save up my password before backing up to Chrome, and my oldest email, where I have changed all the passwords that were connected to that, as I presume it might have been licked by scammers. There could also be some possibility that the issue is there.

I think it's a known attack by the security team, they send a notification blast about this password change request [you should be able to see it in your notification bar]. Meanwhile, I am advising you to set 2FA, I think it's better be safe than sorry
Yeah that's true because the 2FA serves as an extra layer of security to your account and that's will make you feel more safe concerning anything like password hack or things like your account being compromised due to lack of security and I definitely choose it over than the normal average security level.

Please I have some quick question about the bc.game bonus though, as I don't really know what is required if me to actually received that 300% bonus and I have already tried depositing but had to wait or hold back due to something a friend told me about the bonus requirement that got me worried.
556  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 01, 2024, 09:29:46 PM
Liverpool has an opportunity to go three points ahead of Arsenal today if they win. It would be a very vital three points and would reduce the pressure on themselves while putting pressure on Arsenal.

Although Liverpool has previously slipped up I think if they don't focus on today's game they would still let this chance fly away, my prediction is a win for Liverpool.

It is better for Liverpool to concentrate on winning today's game because Newcastle plays well enough that you can't expect them to lose. If Liverpool wins today's game, they will be five points ahead of Arsenal, i think there will be tough competition for the Premier League title this season. This is because if Liverpool wins today's game and has five points ahead of Manchester City and Arsenal, they won't lose any of their games and will instead try to win or draw to stay at the top of the league. I also predict on Liverpool to win which i expect them to win, the premier league matches will be very interesting, i believe Liverpool will not lose this opportunity to win today game.
Despite the fact that Liverpool really needs the win, I think Newcastle on their own are actually struggling and we all have seen from their last few games as they continually failed to secure the three points. Currently now Liverpool are leading and I doubt that they can even equalized the game back because this Newcastle team just needs to really stay focus on their game but I don't think they can actually do that with a Liverpool side thats actually striving to be at the very top when it comes to the title race.
557  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in gambling experts predictions? on: January 01, 2024, 09:13:06 PM
A gambling expert brought i and some friends a guaranteed predicted game and asked us to stake a a high amount so that we winning could be huge and so we can give him a percentage of the money at winning.

I don't believe there could be a 100% guaranteed game but yet my friends who are eager to make profits in the gambling accepted to play the gamed as instructed and at the end of it, they all loosed the game and at then, the rest of us were happy because we didn't play the game else we would had loosed as others.

I want to ask, do you believe in experts gambling predictions?

Well for me I think it actually depends on the particular sports because most of the sport actually don't require any person such as expert or professional prediction. Take like soccer for example, I feel the only way someone can actually be called an expert is due to the how consistent on his knowledge on soccer is and also how well he actually browses the football performance on the particular teams he wants to stake or put his funds on.
558  Economy / Reputation / Re: Symmetrick/Ratimov - Memorial Thread. on: December 30, 2023, 10:32:13 AM
Well I will not say anything because I am not a professional English Speaker. And most in time it is misspelling of words or omission of words. And I am developing in it and recently, I didn't captured the first paragraph of the Op, really I was confused if Symmetrik formerly known as Ratimov could announced his owners dead, and I was contemplating with it and that was why I warned the Op.

The point people are trying to make to you is if you don't understand what it is you are commenting on, you don't need to leave a comment! You can just move on to something else. If you do make a comment, be prepared to run the risk of people questioning WTF you are talking about.
Yeah that's very correct, I do that most times myself. To make contribution to any particular discussion isn't a must and for me I feel sometimes my mood also warrant when I reply or make contributions because so many things can contribute to you actually writing shit and making others feel that you are a shit poster when you are clearly not one. Earning 1200merits in a community like Bitcointalk isn't an easy one and I believe agbe has the quality that earned him those stats but sometimes he gets maybe too carried away to write, and forgets to get the full detail of the conversation before jumping to write up whereas a simple ignore of the discussion would have saved himself alot of savage.

Hello

Newbies are not allowed to upload images in the forum.

If you want to insert image first go to Talking.com and upload the image you wish to post here in the forum.
The website will generate a link for you to copy, then you can paste the link here in your post.

Secondly there is an icon for images when you click on it, click on it and it will appear like this
Code:
[img][/img]

Then you can paste your link in between the image code like this;
Code:
[img]https://talkimg.com/churchilvv12img12[/img]
I guess that could work too but also it would be better and less stress if you just do as Dr.Bitcoin_strange stated which is, you just visit the talkimg.com site and just upload the image you want to use and copy the link instead. But all the same so long the message and knowledge has been passed I think you are good to go.
560  Economy / Reputation / What's the ratio of possibilities for me on: December 30, 2023, 06:09:16 AM
A very odd name for topic , but I was quite confuse on how to construct it and hope it's suit the particular reason for this thread.

Hi tech guru's, am well aware that Bitcointalk is power house for quality and brilliant mind when it comes to technology and so many other geek stuffs and one user I have found peculiar is @o_e_l_e_o because of his diversity in his line of field. Well I don't know how true is this but I think saw in post conversation that he actually admitted he is actually a doctor and not a programmer and believe me with all what I have seen him write in wallet software board, I will be definitely convinced that the man is a computer programmer or have many degree in such area's, the reason for me stating this is because am also a medical laboratory scientist student in the university currently on my last year but I would also love to diversify my self in terms of different knowledge but the major things is that I have tried reading and watching article about coding and so many tech development stuffs but I just get really confused maybe because it's not my field so am quite curious to know how he and maybe other tech guru's that actually specialize in the medical field do it? I would appreciate if you can share an insight because over here in the third world country, we are now open to the many opportunities that the digital world brings and also the profound interest I have developed for software technology.

it would be nice to get some aid here especially @o_e_l_e_o because if true then it's amazing to have such knowledge about a field you are not specialized on
