is this pool cheating its users? Every few days or so I am making 50% less than what I should. I never have any 150% days to make up for it.
the consensus seems to be leaning that way but they would never admit it. I don't even think they check this thread anymore as they never responded to the devcoin question either. I only ever used this pool and had no idea until reading this, have any recommended alternative? I've made 30-40% more after I switched to antpool.com. However it's a bit unstable both on the pool side and the web interface, but if you don't mind keeping an eye on things it's a good one. If you want to try a small oldie but goodie, you can try bitminter. I've seen tests saying that slush is nearly as profitable as antpool, but I have no experience with it. Cheers for the info, will check out those pools now, thanks!

I can't give you a secure answer but I think that the node is chosen randomly (but I'm not sure).
No, if you run the latest version it will download from all available peers (after it has the headers). https://bitcoin.org/en/release/v0.10.0Which node you download from don't matter much anymore. The speed issue is a thing of the past, thanks to the headers first solution. As such I also expect that the QoS / Netlimiter issues are a thing of the past (unless somebody connects to your node only on purpose of course). interesting, I think I'll put that to the test later, re: connecting to default 8 nodes and see if I receive blocks fast enough. it'd still be slower obv if I couldn't get at least 6Mbps from all those connections, since that's about what I max out at when I synced with my server (was around blocks 150,000-250,000.. before and after that it was slower) Please report back with an update, would like to know how it goes.

There will never be a better time to make a deposit than now.
Nobody with 1BTC will let that deposit expire, instead the owner of the deposit will contribute for free basically. This will expand the pay queue.
I agree, depositing now is pretty much the best time to do so.

Maybe invest it into a gambling site? Probably make something off the house edge over the long term. Be careful where you put it though. Some casinos may run.
This is one thing I would advise against though.

Hi. I am confused and need some answers. I just solved a block late last night but do not know how. I have a 1 TH/s DragonMiner and a 1.6 TH/s TerraMiner Both running on different workers. I heard that with the power that I have you could probably mine a block every 6 years…. ?… Is it luck? Will my machine keep solving blocks? I got the machine on the 7th of January, 2015. I just set this mining pool up 11-13 hours ago and I solved a block..!!! XD I don't know whether to be happy or sad. I hope that I can get many more in the future. I also got 3 more emails claiming I found 3 blocks but the worker was not mine. How would I handle that? Do I get a percentage of that? How do I request that percentage. Proof: Block # 338159 6 left ItsPsychoMods 01/09/2015 05:50:17 40,640,955,016.5765 25.00 40,640,955,017 31,724,355,444 78.06 Any answers would be great. Thanks Wow, the most amazing luck. I wonder if anyone has somehow fluked a block with like a single Block Erupter. xD

The demo looks cool, anyone downloaded / checked it out yet?

I would hold it until you need something important, then cash it out or trade it whatever.
Just don't waste it!

wow.. so many deposits and from 9nine too Yeah, I was sweating bullets for a bit. it was only 8 minutes before those 2BTC expire anyway, it erased alot on the line so mine is pretty close now Transactions need to be confirmed to count. So 8min is getting to the point where it is too late to do anything. After paying everyone out 1Excalibur needs to advertise the address to recover. I expect investors will push their TX out by pumping more in, so it runs down to who can afford to keep playing. Anyone who has yet to play are the big losers, you can't win if you don't play and the longer you wait to play the more BTC will be required for a payout. yeah the whole transaction needing confirmation is even more fun with the whole dynamic effect of blocks being found. so much fun when it's close

dont fall for this PONZI people, u will cry soon yeah also the return is waaay too small for risking your money into this ponzi Hear us out my fellow bitcoiners. You're just making them rich! Try hard sig campaigners everywhere...
|
|

I think this ponzi is not going to run very smooth and crash very fast. My advice is to take your money and run, if you haven't invested yet it is my advise not to. A ponzi is all about timing, ur to late if you wan't to make money here have you even seen it working? to me it's the smoothest there is, no double spends or crap like that weekly had. it pays out super fast when deposits are sent in and the developer knows what he is talking about and explains everything unlike the other ones you must have posted in wrong thread xD
