is this pool cheating its users? Every few days or so I am making 50% less than what I should. I never have any 150% days to make up for it.
the consensus seems to be leaning that way but they would never admit it.

I don't even think they check this thread anymore as they never responded to the devcoin question either.

I only ever used this pool and had no idea until reading this, have any recommended alternative?

I've made 30-40% more after I switched to antpool.com. However it's a bit unstable both on the pool side and the web interface, but if you don't mind keeping an eye on things it's a good one. If you want to try a small oldie but goodie, you can try bitminter. I've seen tests saying that slush is nearly as profitable as antpool, but I have no experience with it.

Cheers for the info, will check out those pools now, thanks!

I have already noticed a margin of higher output which I can't really explain, sad to think I have probably lost ~30% of my total mined amount over the last 6 months.

Thanks for the recommendation anyway Antpool is great!

There something going on with Ghash today? All my miners all of a sudden just disconnected from the pool and won't re-connect. I logged into the pool page and none of my workers are hashing. Someone needs to look into this.
I've tried to reset my hardware and tried both URL's.

Hi,

It seems there is a problem with (At least) us1.ghash.io and uk1.ghash.io from my end.

The pool speed is also 8.5 PH/s instead of the usual 25--30.

At least? What other URL's do they have?
Damn, that's a big drop.
I noticed it right away soon as my rigs started beeping at me.
Looks like the pool is having a hard time now....most likely all those that dropped off are not trying to connect again.

I don't know but I see nl1.ghash.io in my "worker" page.

You are able to reconnect now??

They are in some sort of "scheduled maintenance" I tried to withdraw funds and was sent to that web page.
They sure suck at communicating that to their customers though.

yea always have a backup pool, and think about moving on.
They have lost a lot of hashing power in the last month for a reason. A good example of why is
I've earned more nmc alone on btcguild than ghash in the same time frame.
Made less btc but why is that? hidden fees?
Btcguild somehow solves more nmc blocks with less hashing power?
Maybe it's just a lucky variance. I doubt it at this point.

Change... But for what pool? Many pools are from China and I don't know how simple is to register...

GHash is at 6%. They were at 10% a few weeks ago! This decrease increase the variance significantly.

I have to look at all this.

That's kind of weird: Does the DDoS affect the pool or the website? I'd say that the pool is affected, not the website. So what exactly is going on?

An attack can affect the pool significantly. If there are latency gaps between the pool and your miner that will either cause the miner to hash much lower or drop down to the secondary pool. DDoS attacks just suck all around. I'll wait for a little bit until I start switching all my gear to another pool.

This situation is particularly bad because the pool software is not failing enough in serving work which means all workers are mining full speed for nothing. If you can manually switch pool I would do it now. CEX is apparently unable to pull the plug too!

I'm not sure what aggravates me more. The fact that ghash.io is down, or all my Bitmain miners are beeping their fucking heads off because their firmware *STILL* ignores the "Turn Off Beeping" checkbox.

Add a backup pool ... https://kano.is/ and they will stop beeping Smiley

Add Kano.is at primary pool and you will not need ever again a backup.

This issue exactly started when I first posted it. 4:36PM EST. We are going on 8 hours. Someone really must hate Ghash to keep it up this long.

They should just pull the plug = shut down the pool completely, I have to go out to my remote location (which doesn't have external IP, and I couldn't be bothered to setup VPN since the computer there is a windows box) and CEX will be gone, forever. I'd rather have 24 hour blocks on slush than this crap.

Every pool at some point gets attacked. Every pool I have ever used has had an attack happen. It is how the pool responds to the attack. It is 4pm right now in China, and 8am in the UK. If they are UK based, hence the slow response. They are just waking up, maybe a little lazy. Not sure where their admins are.
