541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Confidence in Cryptocurrency on: April 02, 2019, 02:59:14 AM
I have tried to ask myself this question many times: What can be done to restore and foster investors' confidence in cryptocurrency?
There have been several incidences, most especially as regards the issues of hack of exchanges and several other forms of stolen funds, which has in turn cause down trend at some points in the crypto space.
These incidences have made a lot of people to be at their wit ends, not knowing what to do.

If I should ask everyone what can be done to foster confidence, we will all have different things to say. Nonetheless, suggestions are welcome, but before that, I just feel that regulation is part of the main language that can restore.
Aside that, if exchanges have not started the process of insuring the funds on users on their platform, it will be good they start that.

More stolen funds and hacked exchanges will be reducing the investors confidence indeed.
The cause is of course because we will afraid to using cryptocurrency if our money can lost there.
But with IEO that running in some big exchanges, i think it will increasing the investors confidence because it is a trusted exchange.
542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Change Of KYC Pattern on: April 01, 2019, 12:09:11 PM
There have been so much issues arising from bounty hunters doing kyc. So many bounty hunters are against it. Also looking at what kyc means, it means know your customer and bounty hunters are not customers.

So my thought is this: if there must be kyc , it should be done before the start of the bounty. If you pass the kyc, you start the bounty but if you fail, you just leave it and look for some other promising bounty.

What do you think about this?

Of course they are against it, they maybe want to stay anonymous and hidden from other peoples.
KYC is required to prevent money laundry and scammers, but i think it is ok for hunters who receiving huge reward.
Yes, the rule about KYC should be announced before the start of campaign, not at the end.
543  Other / Meta / Re: KYC is now required for Bitcointalk on: April 01, 2019, 11:48:25 AM
First, want to say this was an excellent idea Theymos and if you need someone to grow this KYC process further (for maximum exposure), I'm your man. Time to rid the plague of all the corrupted assholes and scammers; having 100% transparency in crypto is a brilliant idea.

Why should you submit it? It's like everything you do in life, you prove who you are and your good intentions? Fuck privacy and all you shady characters who linger on these forums for nothing more than profits. This is the real world. Uncle Sam spies on you daily, there's nothing that you can do to resist this new era.

Yes, it is a good idea indeed. We will know who are using this forum.
And if there is user who want to scam by holding ICO, their identity will be revealed. This is to prevent scammers.
Hey, what if i don't have any crime to fill in KYC ?  Roll Eyes
544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: which algo is the best? on: March 30, 2019, 05:30:05 PM
hello all,
i want to fork a new coin. which algo in your opinion is the best to fork? give me your reason.
thanks

For me, the best algo for cryptocurrency is Cryptonight. You can mining the coin with cryptonight algo with CPU and GPU.
This means it is supporting the decentralized of the coin, doesn't like other algo which you use ASIC to mining with profit.
I think decentralized means everyone can mine the coin.
545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrencies Wallets on: March 30, 2019, 05:12:32 PM
From the list you made, the most secure wallet is hard wallet i guess.
But the disadvantage is not only it is difficult for beginner, but you need to buy with your money to obtain it.
therefore, im not using hard wallet, but im using desktop wallet in my pc to keep it safe from any phishing.
546  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: who are they behind ico? on: March 29, 2019, 06:56:28 AM
maybe this is not important, there is no benefit to this question. but I am very curious about who is the top person behind ico?
So like this, bounty hunters work in the field of project promotion, I assume we are at the root. while the team and developers manage the project to keep running, including finding funds from investors. the question is, who is the top in the ico project? say like bitcoin "he is the top of the other coins, even the creator of bitcoin doesn't receive the slightest profit from his own creations.

ICO is Initial Coin Offering. So, the peoples behind ICO is the team and developers of the company who want to raising funds with ICO.
If the peoples behind ICO are anonymous, maybe you should avoid the project at all cost because it has high possibility of scam project.
ICO is not too popular, now IEO is more interesting than ICO. Will you ask 'who are behind IEO' too ?  Shocked
547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: List of IEO (Initial Exchange Offering) platforms on: March 29, 2019, 06:30:19 AM
What IEO is you can read here: https://www.coinstaker.com/initial-exchange-offering-ieo/; https://www.initialcoinlist.com/what-is-an-initial-exchange-offering-ieo/.

Today many people say that IEO is an “evolution of ICO” and predict a great future for it (see: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5119748.0;all).

At the same time I couldn’t find a list of platforms organizing IEO today, so I decided to compile it myself and post it on BTT.

Active platforms:
1. Binance Launchpad (https://launchpad.binance.com/). The first IEO-platform. Next IEO, Celer, starts today.
2. Bittrex (https://international.bittrex.com/). The first and only IEO was cancelled (https://cryptonews.com/news/bittrex-suddenly-cancels-its-first-ieo-3528.htm/).
3. Idax (https://www.idax.pro/#/foundation/index). Next IEO, ZeroBank, starts at 26th March.
4. Exmarkets (https://exmarkets.com/launchpad). More than five active IEO’s.
5. Probit (https://www.probit.com/en-us/ieo). Three active IEO’s.
6. Latoken (https://latoken.com/). A lot of active IEO’s.
7. Coineal (https://www.coineal.com/ieo.html#en_US). Thre active IEO’s.
8. Below you will see the list of platforms, on which MenaPay, one of the projects I’ve translated (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5055912.new#new), is holding it’s IEO. I don’t know anything about these platforms so please reply here if you have anything to share about them. Also I’m not quite sure that these platforms are fully IEO platforms, not just a place for selling tokens:
9. One of BTT users offers his services in organizing IEO and he points to a rather large list of exchanges conducting IEO (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5120875.0;all): I couldn’t find any confirmations regarding these exchanges.
10. EOSex - https://eosex.com/#/
11. ZB - https://web.zb.com/i/blog?item=684
12. ZBG - https://www.zbg.com/launchpadList

16. Cobinhood - https://cobinhood.com/ico-services

Upcoming platforms:
1. KuCoin Spotlight (https://www.reddit.com/r/kucoin/comments/azsmjo/kucoin_spotlight_is_coming_soon/).
2. Huobi Prime (https://www.asiacryptotoday.com/huobi-prime-vs-binance-launchpad-the-new-battle-in-the-crypto-world/).
3. Ataix (https://ataix.com/ieo).
4. Okex ( https://www.chepicap.com/en/news/8147/okex-to-launch-platform-similar-to-binance-launchpad-ok-jumpstart-soon.html).

The list will be updated. Waiting for your corrections, comments and additions.
Updated 27.03.2019.

I think IEO won't guarantee the success of the project. If they success to raised the hardcap funds but doesn't develop
and executing their plan, the coin value won't increasing and investors still can loss.
But thanks for the list, i think many investors here want to participating.
548  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Any one here receives this porn blackmailing on: March 28, 2019, 03:05:54 PM

As soon as you open this Email I will know you opened it.
I am tracking all actions on your device.

LOL, i wonder what kind of software or program that they made to tracking device, even when its not connected to the internet.
I think i saw this kind of email somewhere, but i ignore the email because i don't using camera.
This is why we need to not exposing our email publicly. The bounty spreadsheet in bounty campaign usually hide the email which is good.
549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to make money on cryptocurrency in 2019 on: March 28, 2019, 02:44:13 PM
I think trading is the most profitable activity to do in cryptocurrency with this bear situation.
If you mining coins, im afraid you will not be able to pay the electricity bill because the price of coin is bad.
doing bounty is not too profitable anymore due many icos not paying the hunters.
550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I was robbed :'( please refer … PLEASE HELP ME ! on: March 27, 2019, 05:20:05 AM

I read your thread and found out that the ETH is not yours, but your friend's.
Bro i am really sorry for you, at least describe what did you do with the wallet before hacking happened.
For example, where did you login, what did you do, when the last you using the private key to login, etc so we can guess the cause of your loss.
551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you still hodling that shitcoin? on: March 27, 2019, 05:00:16 AM
There are some tokens in my ethereum wallet that have lost value to the extent I don't think they can ever recover even if the bull market starts tomorrow due to the level of competition in the altcoin market. I also bought some coins but can't remember the password or name of exchange i bought them on (thinking it was cryptopia) I didn't bother transferring it off the exchange and most of them were bought around 1satoshi.

Back to my ethereum wallet, each time I see those worthless token I just laugh and continue with what I login my wallet to do. If you ask me why I'm still holding does tokens in my wallet I can't give a reply. Why are you still holding those shitcoins sorry altcoin

There are some reasons for peoples who still holding their coins, maybe it is because most peoples cannot accept to selling at very low price, so they keep holding. A trader usually sell their coin when it going down below a certain % from the buying price, but holders is different, they can wait for long to give time for the recovery of coin price in the market.
552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is $25 XLM worth your privacy (identify). on: March 26, 2019, 03:43:04 AM
Speaking about the ongoing stellar airdrop by blockchain.com which started as a fair one but now requires those interested in the airdrop to pass some KYC procedures, I ask, is it worth it? We complain of Facebook, Google etc of stealing our privacy and possible selling them for profit to other companies and praise blockchain of been decentralized yet we're willing to sell our private details to some centralized organization offering services related to the blockchain technology and we think it's safer? I get it that the bear market has affected numerous newbie that came into the market in 2017 but I ask again is just $25 worth your privacy?

I suspect this moved by them as a deliberate attempt to steal users private details (identify), first they made the airdrop looks so simple and easy thereby deceiving numerous customers into believing they would get free $25 after they have trapped their victim, they then introduce kyc to steal their identity.

Obviously not worthy. I saw this airdrop last month and just ignored that.
We should not give your identity only for $25, we should do it like big investor.
Big investor doing KYC because it has a potential to gain big profit later, not for peanuts.
553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty coming soon. Would you like to be the first to know about it? on: March 26, 2019, 03:25:46 AM
Greetings!

As some of you may already know, I and my team have been working on publishing a token together with a marketplace and a road-map for our future plans.

We have just recently published the ANN thread of our project (check my signature for more info). As any great ICO project, we are going to have a bounty campaign.

The news I would like to share with you here today is that our bounty campaign is not going to be like the traditional ones which people have had enough with!

Our offer is going to be extremely fresh and attractive. We are taking the bounty campaigns to the next level, especially the ones which involve the use of Bitcointalk signature!

Now, if you would like to get the early-bird notification about the official release of our Bounty Campaign, leave a reply on this thread!

Kind regards,
Blockchain2k

I saw your ANN thread and your project ideas, it is interesting indeed.
More projects should notify the forum if they are confident enough about their project like you.
Good luck for holding your campaign in the future, great project should be easy to be succeed.
554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Accredited Investor Portals for buying ICO on: March 25, 2019, 03:21:13 AM
I recently came across https://republic.co/ and was wondering if there were any other crypto focused accredited investor portals.  Also want to find one that has no up-front fee.  We looked into coinlist last summer and at the time they wanted $50K upfront plus 2-3% of the funds raised.

Recently learned that advertising a Reg D 506 b sale inside an accredited investor portal does not count as general solicitation so it'd be nice to be able to reach new investors.

Nowadays, investors will prefer to investing through ICO portal or platform to be ensured.
For example is binance launchpad, there were many projects succeed raising funds there.
Another exchanges are begin to run their own IEO (Initial Exchange Offering) on their own exchange platform to get investors.
555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Profitable Cryptocurrencies to Mine on: March 25, 2019, 03:04:49 AM
The profit that we will get from mining cryptocurrencies in 2019 won't be as much as mining in 2018.
I was able to earn incomes just from mining in 2018, but not anymore in this 2019 because the market is bad.
The best coin to be mined is a new altcoins that have a good project planning, i am mining them to holding.
556  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How to Create a MyEtherWallet on: March 23, 2019, 04:44:37 PM
Hello everyone,

I have written this article to help anyone who wants to create a MyEtherWallet, if there is any feedback to the article, it would be very much appreciated. Also I would check out the platform I wrote the article on, I see it as the next steemit and you can earn tokens for writing content and upvoting articles.

https://www.publish0x.com/crypto-101/how-to-create-your-first-crypto-wallet-with-myetherwallet-xdqde?a=GELe3POa69

Also if you have any ideas of what I should write about, leave a comment!

I think you want to help peoples to creating ETH wallet from myetherwallet, not creating myetherwallet.
Myetherwallet is the most easy ETH wallet to use for beginners and newcomers in cryptocurrency.
Maybe you can post this in the Beginner section of this forum as well.
557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Listing kills a coin? on: March 23, 2019, 04:20:55 PM
I used to invest in ISO and make a profit. Recently, a lot of coins in which I invested fall down after entering the stock exchange. I do not know what to do about it ...

ISO ? Do you mean ICO ? I wonder what coins you invested in this bear market recently ?
Listing won't kill coin, unless there are some holders selling with a massive amount of coins.
Before investing, you need to know the coin/token circulation supply, so you will know if the coin has potential to dump or not.
558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wallet hacking is it possible? on: March 22, 2019, 07:47:32 AM
Just like an account where one's fiat currencies are kept so also is wallet where digital assets or cryptocurrencies of crypto lovers are kept. Can the wallet be vulnerable to hacking and if possible how can that happen? If you have experienced it before, I want to learn from your experience.

Actually, there is no way for other peoples to know your private key or seed or password, unless you expose it for them.
Hackers makes peoples expose the wallet for them, using several way to be done.
So, it still can be possible for wallet hacking if the wallet owner not careful.
559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not be afraid of making mistakes on: March 22, 2019, 07:17:22 AM
You can try to avoid mistakes, but never be afraid of making one and neither should you be afraid of failure.
The fear of what will happen might be a limitation.
Cryptocurrency sometimes can be very complex and funny, most especially when you find yourself in a situation you have never been exposed to.
When the market is all good, mistakes are not easily detected, but when the situation of the market seems to be on a negative side, then fear sets in and sometimes, we become afraid of what may likely happen if we take a step further, to do what we have never been exposed to.
Even if you eventually fail, it is a stepping stone to become become better and achieving greater success.

Peoples who afraid to doing mistake usually won't take any risky decision.
But in cryptocurrency, there will always a quite high risk. The success peoples often start from the mistakes they done.
Then they try to overcome the mistake they done, and take the right action.
560  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin Listing Exchange Fees on: March 21, 2019, 09:02:43 AM
Hello,

I was wondering what are now listing prices for the coins to be listed on the exchanges. I know that during the hype time these figures were absurd, however atm they are still not really appropriate.

Does anybody have any info how much does each exchange charge for the listing? What are actual costs of these exchanges to list it?

Hey, from some community around telegram groups, listing a coin or token on a smaller exchanges will be charged around below 12 btc.
I think it will be depends on the bitcoin price in the market. Listing your coin in exchange is necessary if the demand of your coin already growing.
If there is no demand, then the coin will become a dead coin with no volume in exchanges.
