interesting coin, i have bought some BTC to ETH but its just for collection i hope Price of ETH can going up.  I think the Ethereum price will go up. It might go up to $20 when the bitcoin price rises to $1600 this year. Mate, dreams are good, but the price floor won't be established at 1600$, at least this year. I think that we'll need to following halving to never get before this point. The halving can double the bitcoin price. The block size increase and general adoption should also increase the price. I'd rather bet on a +200$ increase than a doubling, what would make the price look like 600$. Also, the blocksize increase is according to me at the origin of the actual little price increase, so you can wait for another doubling there. |

pnd, don't get burned. if you haven't sold any buy now you're just being greedy as hell. i sold a bunch, loaded up on bitswift and a couple other coins. I think Ethereum price has not reached its potential. It will be much higher in the future. However, it might drop in the short term. We might see troubled time ahead, but I'm convinced that before 1 year from now, we'll be at at least 0,03 BTC  ! Bet closing: in 10 months 1 week (29-12-2016)  That would be because of the purpose of the bet: "Ethereum to top $1 billion market cap before 2017" I've bet no.  In that case I think you'll lose money ! Ethereum supply will ba at around 77 000 000 (or maybe this is the current  ) and 1 ETH will be worth at least 0,03 BTC. The price of Bitcoin will be at around 600$. 600x0,03=20$. 20x77000000=1,547 billion ! Also, note that I took quite low values. Even if the price would be lower, it would still be achieved ! |

Is there a minimum that you need to stake you ETH, because i can see the long term backing of this coin, but i have a small holding.
The rumour is that you have to 1500 Ethereum to stake. You can search the internet to find out. It is too big. I think that this is good. This prevent anyone to profit from this system, and this create a huge demand for the coins, which will make the price rise a lot. By the way, the normal price is back ! |

Yep, I could see the writing on the wall yesterday after it dropped down to 0.0125. I took advantage of the later pump to 0.0135 and once I saw it hesitate again on the rise, I sold off all my remaining ETH except for a small handful. Today I had some buy orders set for just under 0.01 that filled, but I will wait until the price is lower to replace the vast majority I sold. Hoping to see .008 or even .007 again, so I can double my ETH holdings from where I was, but on the flip side if it goes down too low it might have a hard time recovering. I am still a bit away from my 1,500 ETH long-term holding goal, but this correction is helping me get there sooner. So I am long term bullish on ETH, short term bearish. Think this move down from .0145 has run its course tbh. Even if it took a bad hit, I think that it will get out from the 0,009 BTC zone and pass the really important 0,01 BTC cap before the 3 next days ! |

That is, the network will receive about 3.5 times less coins than now. While this is a test network, but I think it will. Selling coins in such conditions, a very stupid exercise. Under these conditions the current price at 1100K Satoshi will be very small.
Yeah, you're right. People can't look further than 1 week in advance. Guys, I tell you, it will be at at least 0,03 BTC when Homestead will be released, and I don't even talk about the PoS phase ! I think that it has nothing to do with Ethereum itself. The growth stopped, and the price got stuck a few days. Then Bitcoin's price increased, and people moved their money...

Lets hope you are right. The price dropped below 0.01 now. It is around 0.092 the lowest point. It might not rise in the near future. What do you describe as "the near future" ? What is sure is that when the would have stopped, we'll be close to 0,1 BTC/ETH ! The price has risen over 500% in the last month alone. So a correction in the $2-3 range is not a surprise. You can't look at Ethereum like you do to other crypto-currencies. This one is unique, and the only reason why it's price is going down is because people are getting angry with Bitcoin's price rise. |
