If i must choose between LTC and ETH i would probably chose LTC.
I don't like IPO ICO also, but when you see opportunity on exchanges you forget fast what was all about. Cheesy

I would choose Ethereum. The mining of the litecon is too concentrated, it is controlled by very few miners. The development is not active.

Go away newbie.

Sweet and wet dreams. Litecoin has to offer nothing. There are far better players in the field.

Mark my words.

But who'll get there first?  LTC or ETH?

I do not recognise the existence of Ethereum.

Scam coins don't have legitimacy in the Crypto sphere.

Legitimacy according to you isn't the question here.  It's who will get to $15 - $25 first...?

Litecoin of course.

How's it gonna do that?  Cheesy

It is quite possible for the litecoin to be $20. That would happen when the bitcoin price rises to $1000. It might not hold there.

10 or 20$ increase in btc, I would not call large. But if it goes much more, then ltc will follow probably.

You've been listened my friend Grin ! At the moment where I'm writting this, 1 ETH is worth 0,01016BTC. I went up-to 0,011BTC a few minutes ago, but now it is down at 0,01BTC.

My bet is on litecoin hitting around 0,05 BTC if/when there's another bubble in bitcoin value.

Historically, litecoin has been a far better investment than bitcoin, although price can usually be correlated with bitcoin swings.

Bitcoin will see $1700-$2300 this year.
Meanings LTC will see at least $15 (taking into account LTC/BTC going down, but USD value will still go up. If, like 2013, LTC/BTC ratio goes up 5-6 times, it means USD value of LTC could reach at least $75 when BTC is at $1700).

But why you are expecting this year 15$?
Maybe few years after but why this year?
What if everyone jumps in to BTC?

What if everyone jumps in to BTC?

It jumpst to at least $15 BECAUSE everyone will jump into BTC this year.
2013 will happen again.

There are 2 cryptocurrencies available on the major exchanges. Gemini will most likely add LTC, so the only major exchange without Litecoin will be Coinbase.

When Bitcoin bubbles again, people will be looking for cheaper alternatives to buy. And what do they see on the exchanges? This strange commodity called ''LTC''. And it is not $1400 each like ''BTC'', but only $7! And they do a bit of research and find out LTC has in the past ALWAYS outperformed Litecoin, even reached $48 at some point! SO what do they do? Instead of buying 1 BTC with $1400, they buy 200 FULL Litecoins instead. People start speculating again, LTC demand increases, people rush to trade their few BTC for MANY precious LTC, and the price SKYROCKETS again.

That is what will happen... Smiley

Exactly, and the history repeats

WHen Bitcoin skyrockets, people will trade BTC for LTC to profit (profit in LTC will be bigger than profit in BTC)

Massive trading BTC for LTC and LTC price skyrockets!

Precisely, well said. The LTC price (even if bought via wire transfer) compared to BTC price now is a steal and the end result of the next LTC bubble will get you way more BTC when its price is high during its bubble and you can bounce via BTC/LTC or vice versa and then to cash if you so choose. For example, if this next BTC/LTC run mimics the 2013 hike (which it is likely to do or more) you get 6-7 times more BTC (from your LTC) or if it models the LTC halving last July - you get ~4x current prices in BTC. Either way, that's how you make a lot of Bitcoin when you have not much of them atm. These events only happen sparingly (oops, rare), so be on the fun side of this trade.

I must admit you have provided many good reasons with much proofs!
Hope you are right! I must think about this.
Thanks!
