541  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: A notice to MtGox about Market Data and Exchange Access on: December 14, 2013, 06:06:31 PM
If anyone from MtGox reads this, I urge you to consider the needs of serious traders

That's been a lost cause for quite a while.

We will not follow you next time.

Why offer another shot in the first place? Not much good can come of negotiating with headless chickens.

Also, to all you startup exchanges out there, pretending your little LAMP stack just-like-the-others "exchange" is anything of the sort, you will fail - the first guy who comes along with a proper exchange featuring things like streaming data will win - not you.

Maybe consider posting a spec (even if for nothing else than to point startups there).

543  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: The Bitcoin Place - The Auction Site Powered by Bitcoin! on: December 14, 2013, 05:49:23 PM
We've been around since May, though there's been some down time recently while we did some adjustments to the site.  But now we're starting back up, and we'd love to see some new listings.

To that end, I'd suggest seeing here.
544  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN] Phones4BTC.com - [Free Shipping Worldwide][GSM Unlocked Phones] on: December 14, 2013, 04:44:09 PM
I already specified we are new to accepting BTC, if you don't have anything to say, simply do not.. Further more will be considered as spam and reported. We are a wholesaler but we are testing the BTC market.

If you're new and find yourself unable to meet the basic queries of potential customers, the correct response is to see here and resolve your problems, not to go on the defensive, get uppity about "reporting", or try to manufacture credibility with "wow such volume" nonsense posts.

Why so hostile?

Quote
And more generally, a notice to all the scumbags circling BTC : I don’t care that you’re poor, I don’t care if you’re desperate, I don’t care if you’re ‘Ndrangheta or the Gambinos or the Bonanos or the Russians or whoever the fuck else. Pack it and move. This is your only warning, and quite frankly I have no ideea why warnings are even necessary. Bitcoin is not for idiots. That means you.

Via.
546  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: MTGOX STOLE MY BTC (CONFIRMED + OTHERS SAYING SAME!!) on: December 12, 2013, 07:08:10 PM
PSA: Bitcoin's survival and long term prospects depend on MtGox getting killed.

This has been the case since spring. Be responsible and read before handing funds over, people. There's no excuse by now, seriously.
547  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Fruastrated bitcoiners start lawsuit against Ebay on: December 12, 2013, 06:57:02 PM
A group of people have started a lawsuit aimed at Ebay.com. They are claiming that Ebay hide information from PayPal that would have made the fraud detectable. The lawsuit claims that Ebay will allow any account to use hundreds of paypal accounts without ever warning merchants. The bitcoin ebay lawsuit is here http://ebayclassaction.com

Not using Ebay and Paypal has been more or less the first rule of exchanging btc for years. The key is to not use them. The key is not to use them and then throw a fit, lathering up legal fees and rabble lawsuits.
548  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Localbitcoins.com 2FA on: December 12, 2013, 06:51:30 PM
Sounds annoying. Anyway people'd have a better shot at helping you figure this out if you post details (what does "failed to work" mean exactly? Describe what you did and what happened --that is, if you care).

XXXProfit Reports - Updated Regularly

We will be posting reports and updates for the XXXProfit IPO frequently with the newest information at the top.

Thursday, December 12th 2013 @ 8:00 AM PST

Total Investors: 5

Shares Issued: 226.52 @ .001 BTC Each

Total Profit So Far This Period (Dec 1 - Dec 15) $552.75

Profit Share So Far This Period $221.10

Earnings Per Share So Far This Period If No Other Investors: $0.97 Per Share

ROI So Far This Period If No Other Investors: 112.79%

Please Note: Because of the bonus incentive where 40% of total profit will be divided among all shares the earnings per share will decrease as more shares are purchased. You must invest by December 15th to receive a share of this bonus during this pay cycle. Details found here.

Dude, give it a rest. The way to come back from failing all over yourself is to take a break, learn from your mistakes, and see what, if anything, you have to offer that's at all worthwhile. Not "oh gee I guess I'll start making moar new threads for graet success". If you can't manage that, then again, by all means,

get lost. This isn't your ship.
551  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Btc Price prediction and a free Bitcoin Signal indicator Download on: December 11, 2013, 09:05:44 PM
Hi Bitcoiners,

Q: What is your prediction for Bitcoin price movements?
The prediction is that bullish trend continues. The price is holding above the midpoint ($ 640) of the last rally and it is moving upward. There will be probably a correction before moving above the all time high at $1160, that correction could be a nice buying opportunity for who is looking for a good moment to buy. See the green arrow for possible signal

What is this cool indicator you are always using to predict prices so accurately? Can I download it?

Yes, that is called Bitcoin Signals indicator by Fapturbo2.0. You can download it for free here

It works on Metatrader4. Green arrows = BUY, Red = Sell. Very easy and accurate predictions.

As usual we'll keep you informed about future updates and price moves!

Lol fapturbo.

Anyway, the pretension of established authority and importance on a total newb account will have to get packin' before this gets even a cursory glance. That is, if this is anything more than a complicated way to have a laugh.

554  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] CasinoBitco.in CBTC Official Thread- NOVEMBER dividend posted! on: December 11, 2013, 10:55:58 AM
Thanks for clarifying; I genuinely didn't realise that these points were what you were referring to.

On balance, while you are right to flag these things (which I agree are not terribly professional) I do think that you are mostly getting involved to discredit a competitor, rather than doing it for the benefit of investors.

It remains a mystery why people seem to think everything under the sun is an MPEx "competitor", or why they insist on assuming and clinging past all reason and historical evidence that I'm not really doing what I'm doing, but instead plotting evil schemes against others for great discreditation and malevolence.

Seriously though, it's pretty transparently a difficulty accepting that not everything is an "amazing company" nor is everyone a "great guy" capable of "incredible success" on the basis of the "you can do anything" mindset. The fact that I don't beat around the bush about it doesn't make the problem any less of a problem, nor does it indicate any hand-tenting motives. This is bitcoin finance; it's not the place to be concerned with niceness and trying and so forth. Get your shit wrong, you'll get it pointed out to you, it's as simple as that.

Or at least, it has been since I've been around.

What alternative growing, profitable bitcoin gambling investments are available to investors like us? Not many, I think.

Do your due diligence. And keep in mind that the lack of a known alternative doesn't justify giving money to operations you've gathered won't or can't manage it.
555  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] CasinoBitco.in CBTC Official Thread- NOVEMBER dividend posted! on: December 10, 2013, 09:28:07 PM
OP made references to "industry best HTML5 Roulette" and "industry best affiliate program".

If you want to nit-pick and be dramatic about it, no one can make an argument against the HTML5 Roulette game since it has yet to go live, and I believe the affiliate program is actually an industry best since it gives commission based off the amounts waged, whether won or lost by the referral player. Other affiliate programs only give commission based off of net revenues gathered from the referral players.

If you feel the need to spread your opinions on public forums, at least do us a favor and provide some facts and reasoning behind your claims.

If you cannot come up with any of the two, then GTFO.

Nobody's being dramatic but you and the various newbs cultivating blood pressure problems over the notion that standards exist.

Now, read my last sentence again. If it's still not clear to you what the problem is, imagine a "car" with an engine that doesn't run being advertised as having "industry best hubcaps". It's a problem, fixing it is required, the correct response is to fix it, not to try shooing away anyone who notices the broken engine.
556  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Someone stole all my coins Read this on: December 10, 2013, 07:57:17 PM
OP, time to lay low for a while and get your bearings before you try this out again. You'll need to read up on wallet security, basic computer security, and create a security vs convenience balance that you're alright with. Chalking it up to an unfair fluke and hoping it won't happen again or that you'll be made whole by others is pretty much a guaranteed ticket to seeing this repeat.
557  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: COINFELL [win 150% BTC return!] on: December 10, 2013, 07:44:05 PM
Crossposting and shilling won't save you. Again:

It's amazing how some of you guys just "know" that something doesn't work without having tried it. Sorry you can't comprehend how it works, that doesn't mean that it doesn't...

Nobody is failing to comprehend how it "works". People are pointing out to you that this "idea" of yours is broken. It's not a mystery. See every other service announcement promising to pay out more than was deposited on the basis of other people's deposits. Not just in BTC, but throughout time. Report back with which ones worked.
558  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PSA: coinbase.com defrauds with different schemes on: December 10, 2013, 07:38:42 PM
Id be happy to kick them to the curb, but need an alternative. I see a LOT of complaints about Coinbase but very few alternatives for US customers.

Learn to WoT. There's never an acceptable justification for giving money to known scam artists.

And that's the lesson, folks. It's not about cheering on crap that clearly has no business handling your money, and relying on Nanny Gov to help you out when shit inevitably hits the fan. It's about taking responsibility for yourself and not using services like these. The warnings have been ample.

How much commission would you feel be reasonable but can also cover the expenses?
