Gator
You laptop did not picked address at all
There is no dhcp server to give address to your laptop
You do not have a gateway right besides openwrt Technobit build does not have dhcp server build in at all  Wink
Just use wire shark
According to windows rules there is no such thing as de configured state in order words when there is dhcp server to give you agrees windows picks one
Or,just set your laptop to 192.168.1.12/24
Ping 192.168.1.1 -t from dos
And try with reset button
When you do it you will see replies, from 1.1 tplinkk

I set the laptop to 192.168.1.10 255.255.255.0
Wireshark is recording the LAN
No other IP addresses show up in wireshark.
No response from pinging 192.168.1.1

When I try to do the reset thing when the light blinks on the TP-Link it doesn't blink faster afterwards.

also tried 192.168.0.10 255.255.255.0
No response from 192.168.0.99

which is where it original was after installing Technobits OpenWRT.
Connect tplink directly to your LAN card of PC

Fire wire shark
Stop all pings
Start capturing packets
Power tplink
Want 10 secs and post captured packets here
542  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How to upgrade TPLINK TL-MR3020 firmware to technobit openwrt on: August 22, 2014, 08:50:42 PM
Okay fired up wireshark

It seems to be broadcasting 169.254.85.24

so I set my laptop to DCHP client and it picked up the address

Code:
Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:

   Connection-specific DNS Suffix  . :
   Link-local IPv6 Address . . . . . : fe80::150c:a7b3:cc9e:5518%10
   Autoconfiguration IPv4 Address. . : 169.254.85.24
   Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.0.0
   Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . :

I definatly told the TP-Link/OpenWRT to use a DHCP client, not become a DHCP server!

I'm still none the wiser how to communicate with the thing 255.255.0.0 is a lot of possible addresses.

Does it matter what mode the switch is in? It's in the middle setting WISP.

543  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AMT 1.2THs miner first impressions/review (WIP) on: August 22, 2014, 08:08:37 PM
Then please be so kind and finish your noble job
Besides people do post prices of the miners reviewed for sure.
Post pool graphs and power consumption like everybody who are reviewing hardware please?
Will you do that?
From this review I can see nothing
Just a boxes full of metal that is all and a cable mess al over
Are they working at all
You are about to reveal that fact right?
Ps
By the way before leaving the impression to newbies that amt are delivering please make sure to state when this pice of metal was paid. Just make a newbies a favor and do not push them towards amt. Will you?
As you said we know the story but did they know it also?

544  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AMT 1.2THs miner first impressions/review (WIP) on: August 22, 2014, 07:41:13 PM
I am curios if you will post pool graphs of your miners in part two and power usage on/in/at the wall Wink
And they are of course well build for stuff made in china Grin there is some dust here and there but having in mind 6 mounts delay and price paid you gona live true it I am sure
By the way how much did you paid for this?
I just forgot....oh yes when your payment was accepted ?

Look from the bright sight winter is coming so it may be double purpose equipment Cry
And do not forget to become a regular amt customer from no on Grin
545  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Technobit HEX16E - BE200 based 16 chip board on: August 22, 2014, 07:37:55 PM
Dear Saab9000,

would you please tell me the tweaks you used to solve the NONCE Problem please.

Or maybe just post your settings... or log...

Would be great help. (Marto isn't responding at all in my case.)

Greetings Chris

What's up Chriss?
I might be able to help you out.
You can drop me a pm if you wish
546  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How to upgrade TPLINK TL-MR3020 firmware to technobit openwrt on: August 22, 2014, 07:18:25 PM
HELP! Did something dumb.

Logged into TP-Link MR3020 via web page and set Network to from static to DHCP and now I cannot see it on any IP address.

DHCP server is enabled on the Internet router but it don't show up on the network.

I pressed the flashing reset button on boot-up but it didn't seem to reset OpenWRT to 192.168.1.1

Any ideas? Thanks.
Download ethereal wire shark
Install it
Plug tplink in your PC LAN directly
Fire sniffer wire shark
Power up tplink
And it will tell you what is going on Wink
The flashing reset button is biggest one try it one more time
If you did it it will blink like traffic light
And make sure to adjust your LAN settings Also when you are trying to reach 192.168.1.1
There is open telnet on 192.168.1.1 nothing more no web
You have to login and type a bunch of commands Cheesy
Please Read openwrt fail safe procedure first
Ps: I am glad to hear fro you gator even though the occasion is not so good. I thought you've quit mining Tongue
547  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How to upgrade TPLINK TL-MR3020 firmware to technobit openwrt on: August 21, 2014, 06:36:54 PM
no back up pool pool says 446 and my avg is 430
That is good then  Wink
First time I misunderstood you
It is just a luck that pool is above cgminer stats sometimes it may be opposite but avarage will always match to cgminer stats
548  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How to upgrade TPLINK TL-MR3020 firmware to technobit openwrt on: August 21, 2014, 06:32:08 PM
have a reject rate of 0.33% I think that's not too bad but I may be wrong.
Reject is fine but your pool stats shall match exactly to cgminer avarage speed minus rejects
Do you have backup pool?
Can you check if this pool is accepting shares also?
549  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How to upgrade TPLINK TL-MR3020 firmware to technobit openwrt on: August 21, 2014, 06:27:26 PM
I'm seeing around 450ghs on the cgminer and 430ish on the pool so I'm happy Smiley

Good the difference should be not so big. What is your reject rate?
And cgminer avarge spread. Do you have some shares leaking to your backup pool if you are using any?
550  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How to upgrade TPLINK TL-MR3020 firmware to technobit openwrt on: August 21, 2014, 05:59:58 PM
I've set my nonce timeout to 5sec on my hex4m and it's running sound. It was 2sec default and it just kept resetting the damn chips.
Super duper 2 secs is at the edge for 400gh so if you are down clocking you should increase it also Wink
How is your pool graph by the way does it match with cgminer speed stats
I guess yes correct  Wink
551  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: TECHNOBIT support tread + customer feedback/240 GHS - 129 EUR - 48 hour shipment on: August 20, 2014, 07:56:14 PM
cheers chap Smiley, am I right in thinking if I get a be200 board from technobit I just plug it into the usb hub and it will mine alongside the minion board no problem.
Yes it will  Wink
Just plug the usb tight in there Cheesy
And mine at diff one be200 setting in the web Wink
552  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: OFFICIAL CGMINER mining software thread for linux/win/osx/mips/arm/r-pi 4.5.0 on: August 20, 2014, 07:33:37 PM
Hey,
Next time before you buy something better think twice before jumping into china miners
What about the original software is it working?
I was playing with grind seed units just once grind seed chip
I can tell you that I was mining happily for hours and cgminer fork of greendsed was showing me hashes flowing when USB was not working at all
These guys are funny
So chose what you buy wisely for the feature
Never buy something with close source that is all

The original software works, and works great after I fixed it (their web gui was all screwed up pointing to the wrong files and such.  Fixed the pointers, translated it all to english, and it's been mining 24x7 since I did that.).  I get a steady 1.2Th/s from it.  However I was contemplating putting it on leaserigs and all works except for the ability to change pools via API.

And for what it's worth, *I* didn't buy it but did agree to it.  And as far as I know, most of the hardware is "made in china".
You did a nice job then. Being just a customer. Wink
And why you need stock cgminer then?
What are you after? After all these efforts and time spent to make a Chinese web translated and so on
A friendly advise do always check your pool stats against forks hash rate. It might turn out that 1.2t cgminer stats are 1t or less paid shares Wink  and it is not luck trust me. Con mentioned once that he can make any miner to show ANY hash rate with zero hw errors if we wish. But that is not the point. The point is that china forks do it on occasions now and then
In my opinion for 1K+ we deserve at least shiny web translated in English  Grin
But who cares.....
If their cgminer was open source you can always merge it with cgminer official code right?

tried both tp-link and cgminer via windows but went back to tp-link as I could shut down pc and the tp-link was still mining Smiley I know you guys told me so so you lot win.
Super Wink
Happy mining then
555  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: TECHNOBIT support tread + customer feedback/240 GHS - 129 EUR - 48 hour shipment on: August 20, 2014, 06:00:12 PM
I thought so it's running like a dream chap thanks a lot Smiley
Just for the record are you using tplink?
10x

I think that all of us shall refuse to buy closed source miners no matter of their origin.
That will be the solution to the problem. But we have to act like a community which ain't going to happen...
Greed is first and then all follows.

Sad
The funny part is that most of overseas bitmain customers and CHINESE MINING EQUIPMENT DISTRIBUTORS are based in us and they just do not care....if they are committing  a crime using/distributing such a software....
But law does not apply in bitcoin world for sure
557  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: TECHNOBIT support tread + customer feedback/240 GHS - 199 EUR - July shipment on: August 07, 2014, 07:58:48 AM
Setup process for windows:

1. Download & install oracle virtualbox = 30 Minutes
2. Download & install Ubuntu = 1,5 Hour
3. Install additional dependencies for cgminer = 20 Minutes
4. Download & compile cgminer = 10 Minutes

Overall process only 2,5 Hours  Cool

Hey I do not feel  masochistic right now Wink
Is there a naive user manual or how to available on topic?  Wink
558  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: TECHNOBIT support tread + customer feedback/240 GHS - 199 EUR - July shipment on: August 07, 2014, 05:00:55 AM
ok now my tp-link arrived and flash it and get the 3 miners running was a task of less than 1 hour

so my feelings are now mixed

on one side windows mining was a total disaster

on other side with tp-link it was optimal and perfect experience

so i vote good quality but very late (because no other option fits)

very late because i couldnt use the miners a full week until i got the required tp-link

i suggest them to sell the miners only in combination with tp-link to create only the good experience

That is why I keep saying use a tplink all the time Cheesy
And I will say it again
Folks make sure you buy one from Technobit or form your local store in ADVANCE
559  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: TECHNOBIT support tread + customer feedback/240 GHS - 199 EUR - July shipment on: August 05, 2014, 03:34:09 PM
I'm mining with Eclipsemc and they don't have a difficulty setting Sad
Do not worry just try it. Despite other pools they do not reject old jobs immediately due to diff changes or at least I think so. Wink as long as block is same they should not do it immediately. But life sucks Sad
Gigahash and btc guild are very strict Wink but both of them have worker diff setting.
There is nothing that can be done to avoid this unfortunately
In general your reject rate should be around 0,2 0, 4 % max
Just let the board run for 24 hours and check it
One minute after startup you can zero stats to discard higher reject percentage (if present) though. Then watch it
560  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: TECHNOBIT support tread + customer feedback/240 GHS - 199 EUR - July shipment on: August 05, 2014, 12:40:27 PM
So where do you set the difficulty, looked and can't see the setting.
There are two difficulties
1 pool worker difficulty. When you set this in your pool web interface not tplink to 64 or 256 or whatever is appropriate for your hash rate you will reduce pool rejects on startup. I am not mentioning the fact that your hash rate may be between two difficulties from pool point of view. So if pool changes your difficulty up and down it will affect your paid /accepted shares in long term. Some of them will be ejected or so e of them will not be submitted at all. We are talking for milliseconds here but all counts Wink
2. Dev difficulty on hexbe200 and hex8a boards. This tell to asics to return only shares matching or above pool difficulty
Pross
Less USB load
Cons
Harder for software to spot and reset asic if needed because of the variation. A chip may not return a single valid share for minutes due to diff even though it is working fine we call that bad luck Wink
Resume
In the beginning just setup your pool difficulty and spent a couple of minutes watching if it has been changed
If yes wait a little bit to settle and increase or decrease it.  Wink most of the pools do have some predefined startup values to be chosen based on your estimated hash rate. If your hash rate is higher then they increase the difficulty but not opposite they never decease it Just watch it and if you happen to be in between act accordingly and in erase it.
If you set it too high now worries you will not see accepted shares flowing so quickly and your pool graph will vary but there is nothing to worry about you will get used to it
