5401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [WARNING] ats tokens scam on: September 18, 2017, 08:32:46 AM
Is this a scam or just a very badly managed airdrop?
I think it's just badly managed. This seems to be a genuine company, but it's clear that the airdrop is a complete disaster and will mean a lot of bad publicity which will hurt the project.
5402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I invested in my first ico, now what? on: September 18, 2017, 08:30:15 AM
I just invested in my first ico, Blackmoon ico. What happens now? I'm looking to make a quick flip. What do I do with the Blackmoon tokens?

1 Wait to get the tokens
2 Move the tokens to an exchange that lists this coin
3 Sell for BTC

Thank you for the warning and your post, Johnny Depp. I had done background check but was short in time, therefor not thoroughly. Now I am paying for it with my 8 Bitcoins.

Yes, thanks for the warning.
8 bitcoins, ouch! Sad
5404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is long term investment on: September 12, 2017, 09:23:31 AM
I have heard that Ethereum is really slow for transactions - is this true?

But there is a lot of development with Ethereum. When Raiden update arrives this will solve many issues. I think it will allow 50,000 times more transactions. So this will address the speed question and network being clogged with ICOs.
5405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero or LTC on: September 12, 2017, 09:15:54 AM
I think litecoin is quite overpriced, and monero has much more room for increasing its market cap.
5406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LIST ALL ICO SCAMS BE AWARE on: September 12, 2017, 07:55:14 AM
I want to know about Authorship ICO and Viberate ICO It's listed as scam or not and i must be aware from that ico or not actually if Authorship ico not scam i want to invest to that ico

I just came across authorship ICO, and also saw it's advertisement in Facebook. But where did you get it is listed as scam?

And I'm interested to know how to determine if it is a scam ICO?

I really don't think this is a scam. No evidence though, but it does feel genuine.
It is much easier to prove that something is a scam than to prove that it isn't.
5407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero or LTC on: September 12, 2017, 07:47:14 AM
If you had the choice to buy only one of the two today which 1 would it be?

Monero or LTC? don't really need brains to decide on this Wink

Definitely Monero. Anonymity will be much more important in the future, and Litecoin doesn't offer enough difference from bitcoin to be worth it.

I like how the question Monero or Litecoin was posed by "Moneroman" Cheesy

Maybe there is a similar thread started by "Litecoinman" - but that wouldn't have many replies because Monero is better Cheesy
5408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves future on: September 12, 2017, 07:39:09 AM
In my opinion Waves has a good future, but it grows quite slowly. So this is quite a safe bet for long term price increase, but not so great for short term jumps.
5409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What would be a good ICO? on: September 12, 2017, 07:30:26 AM
I'm looking for good ICO's to invest. What would make a good stable ICO?

I am not looking for an overly developed ICO, but focusing on upcoming, and newly developing ICO with great ambitions.

Before I do that, I just want some advice in determining a good ICO.

Any thoughts?

Something that is a genuine project with a good roadmap and whitepaper that makes sense, and a genuine use for it to fulfil. These things become apparent during research though, so best advice is to research anything that you are interested in.
5410  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is long term investment on: September 12, 2017, 07:22:21 AM
Ethereum is better for long term invest?
Please share your valuable opinion.

Yes, there are a lot of people who think that Ethereum will be the basis for the next version of the internet.
5411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: New Traders Day Trading Discussion on: September 08, 2017, 02:34:31 PM
Newbie trader here as well.

Everything is crashing hard right now due to (new) China news. What to do? I'm going to scoop up ETH and BTC, but I'm unsure what to do in terms of Alts. Scoop up as well? Or due to falling purchasing power of ETH & BTC, wait until ETH & BTC have recovered to buy Alts?

When every alt crashes, this means that bitcoin falls as well. So one way to avoid losses is to trade into Tether USDT which is supposed to stay =$1. That way you don't have to cash out and can stay invested in cryptocoins and trade back to your alts or bitcoin once everything has stabilised.
5412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: New Traders Day Trading Discussion on: September 08, 2017, 02:22:01 PM
Nice Thread  Smiley

I've also been starting daytrading just some weeks ago. So far i learned to stick to reputable Coins - buy in dip and sell in pump.
Long-term only for "sleepers" as they were called in a post above (i.e. Ubiq, Waves)

this is a decent thread.
And in fact i always find it a little weird that people say hold altcoins for long term to make profit! in my opinion the profit is always in short term trading of altcoins not in the long term.

Disagree...the big money is in sleepers that at some point perform x20...To perform the same at short you must de 100% 20 times...The deal here is, not everybody is made to wait for MONTHS.

Best bet in my opinion is take the short profits to buy sleepers you trust.

Let me Show you something..

If you start with (lets say) 1 BTC and add 5% Profit every here and there (i experienced it this way) - you double very soon.

1.05
1.1
1.15
1.21
1.27
1.34
1.4
1.47
1.55 <- +55% after 9 trades
1.62
1.71
1.79
1.88
1.97 <- almost doubled after 14 trades

Of course, this is just an example  Roll Eyes

This is a nice example of progression, but an important point is that you need to go for a decent % on each trade. You can't do this sort of progression so easily if you're only going for maybe 2% on a trade, because the exchange will take a % cut on the buy and again on the sell, and wipe out your gains.
So just to note it can't be done on very small market changes but just on the bigger swings.
5413  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 10 ETH or 1 BTC? on: September 08, 2017, 01:51:19 PM
With $3000 to invest, is there any advantages to either, with the expectations/hopes that they both will continue to grow?  Just trying to see what others would do, as I plan to let this initial investment sit for 5yrs minimum in a cold wallet.

Thanks ladies and gents!

Whatever amount I had to invest (unless it was very small), I would split it across several coins. If you like BTC and ETH, why not put half in both? You don't have to buy integer amounts - with cryptocoins you can buy a fraction of a coin.
5414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Very short term invest on: September 08, 2017, 01:37:47 PM
Very short term is not so easy because you need to know that a coin will go up. Everyone knows 'buy the rumour, sell the news'... but to make a profit you need to buy in at the early stages of the rumour. It is not so easy unless you know a lot about that specific coin, and I don't think it is something you can do for just any coin. Noone can have that detailed level of knowledge of hundreds of coins.
5415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Chart of the Day | NEO's full recovery on: September 08, 2017, 01:04:50 PM
This price rise is great, but it is not new, it is just NEO returning to its previous position. But that by itself shows how strong NEO is, after it fell so low with the ICO news.

We are all expecting great things from NEO in the coming months and years.
5416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin "cash" - price speculation on: September 08, 2017, 12:11:29 PM
I think bitcoin cash is speculation only because there is no real product. They are not offering anything that you can't already have elsewhere.
But speculation can make price go up and down. The question is one day will it fall and continue falling until it hits $0 ?

This is good in theory, but for those of us that are new it is very difficult to identify these sleeper coins. What you have to do to succeed in this is to know that a coin is good before everyone else does. Because once everyone knows, the price goes up and it is no longer a sleeper.
5418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XVG] Verge - Speculation & Discussion on: September 08, 2017, 09:35:42 AM
XVG does look great, but I am only now learning abut it. By the time I have learned enough to know whether to invest, the price might be too high to be worth it.
This is always a problem. Risk of missing a huge rise vs risk of jumping onto something you don't fully understand.
But I am cautious, so I will learn more as quickly as I can, and then hope I am not too late.
5419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best alt coin to invest in? 1k-2k USD. on: September 08, 2017, 09:27:33 AM
It depends how much risk you want to take. You will need to pick a good coin in any case, but the coins that have the highest current market cap also have less room to grow.
5420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Sell NEO For Qtum Based in Singapore on: September 04, 2017, 02:04:48 PM
There are ICOs on NEO, such as RedPulse. This is why it can impact NEO price.
