5401  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What was your biggest win ever in gambling? on: December 07, 2015, 11:23:54 PM
Biggest single win was around 5 BTC on Bitcoinvideocasino playing roulette, I had won the progressive jackpot Cheesy
I had won it with a bet of just 0.005 btc..
5402  Economy / Speculation / Re: The future of Bitcoin on: December 07, 2015, 07:53:46 PM
What are the future projections for Bitcoin?

from what i can see bitcoin will be known more in near future,
it will reach new heights and this heights will creat a new window
for bitcoin to be advertised and understand on how it works.

That's entirely dependant on Bitcoin's future popularity. But I think its popularity among investors will certainly increase, for sure if we see a steady price increase.
I'm also pretty sure we can expect to see another price increase or bubble soon the closer we get to the reward halving.
5403  Economy / Gambling / Re: Biggest bet ever in the history of Bitcoin? on: December 07, 2015, 06:44:55 PM
you guys forget or don't know the whale bet 7000btc per roll on just-dice, that's the story in 2013, and he rolled the probability of 96% win. that's insane
I remember seeing a post about someone losing a similarly sized bet with 98% chance I think.
It was a long time ago, can't find the thread.
5404  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When choosing an online casino, what do you look for? on: December 07, 2015, 06:23:06 PM
mmm, probably Fair site, and comfortable for socializing in chat was also very helpful.
and to Withdraw or deposit instant.  Wink
Yeah I also like it when there's a chat on the website. Really nice if you win big Smiley
5405  Economy / Gambling / Re: Biggest bet ever in the history of Bitcoin? on: December 07, 2015, 06:16:18 PM
These are some big wins on Bitcoinvideocasino, biggest one being 765 Bitcoins, won through progressive jackpot slots.

5406  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoins safe? on: December 07, 2015, 06:12:02 PM
I think it's safer to not put all of your assets into one place, whether it be Bitcoin, fiat, stocks, etc.
I do think Bitcoin is a good investment...
5407  Economy / Economics / Re: Jamie Dimon is investor in bitcoin on: December 07, 2015, 06:02:50 PM
http://fortune.com/video/2015/11/04/jamie-dimon-youre-wasting-your-time-with-bitcoin/

I would think not, since he clearly thinks it's a waste of time.
And every other article I've read about him mentioning Bitcoin has been an overly critical or even negative one.
5408  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling be profitable in long term ? on: December 07, 2015, 05:56:06 PM
I know online poker can be profitable in the long term as long as you're not playing against 'the house', so only if you're playing against other players.
But would this be considered gambling? I think in that case, the term 'game of skill' fits better.
5409  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: How much would you trust trezor? on: December 07, 2015, 05:53:30 PM
After everything I've read about them, I think they could be trusted. But I still prefer to put my coins in regular cold storage.
Armory fits my needs perfectly Smiley
5410  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When choosing an online casino, what do you look for? on: December 07, 2015, 05:36:24 PM
Quiet all factors now had been stated here in just a few replies.

Well I will include too to read some users review about the site that can includes how's the withdrawal , how's the support responds or any general problem. Interacting with the experienced players can help you know more about the site you want to play.

Optional but I will consider this as one another factor, make sure that it has official thread here in bitcointalk forum.
I wouldn't say everything is already said in this thread, there are quite a lot of niche things people look for.
For example, people could value the option of instant anonymous accounts and being able to play instantly with 0 confirmations.
5411  Economy / Gambling / Re: List of Bitcoin casinos that offer games with a progressive jackpot on: December 07, 2015, 05:25:21 PM
@eternalgloom - Nice thread, must have taken you a while to compile all of that info. Great service to everybody here though. Thank you - on behalf of the community. There are a lot of shitty threads on here, nice to see somebody being selfless & providing a service whilst not trying to ask for money Cheesy
No problem, though I do kinda get something back for it, in the form of being able to reply a lot.
So it's easier for me to hit my target number of posts for my signature campaign, it's a nice bonus that I'm providing useful information at the same time Smiley
5412  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When choosing an online casino, what do you look for? on: December 07, 2015, 05:21:12 PM
It’s important to choose wisely when playing online, security and reliability should be the two primary concerns of anyone looking for the best online casino.
How long has it been established? An online casino with a long, tried and tested history of customer satisfaction is likely to be a safe bet.
Customer service and support, any online casino that makes it difficult to get in touch with them for help and support should be avoided.
Prizes and bonuses, part of the fun of playing online casino games is the excitement of a possible big win.
Is it licensed, any reliable online casino will be licensed, which also assures you that the games are conducted fairly.
That's some sound advice, to look for security and provably fair casinos.
It's always good to take a look at their thread on bitcoinforum before making a deposit.

I usually go for Poker rooms and always look for a casino that offers bigger profit percentages, bigger bonus, low Withdrawing fees, biggest raking bonus and which as a lot of volume.

I usually stick to traditional poker rooms since the player base isn't really that big on most Bitcoin poker rooms..
Don't like waiting 30 min to join a game Smiley
5413  Economy / Gambling discussion / When choosing an online casino, what do you look for? on: December 07, 2015, 04:50:14 PM
I'm personally a big fan of roulette and slots and I look for casinos that allow me to use relatively small bet sizes (around 0.001 BTC).
If there's a progressive jackpot, that's also a big plus for me, especially if they don't require huge bets to be able to win it.

So let me hear what you are looking for in online Bitcoin casino's...
5414  Economy / Gambling / Re: List of Bitcoin casinos that offer games with a progressive jackpot on: December 07, 2015, 04:27:44 PM
I mostlike sites who offer progressive jackpot is Fortunejack and Jackpotracer
my friends was claimed more than 1 btc jackpot in jackpotracer

thank you very much for mentioning Jackpotracer.com and the Jackpot win of your friend. it was more than 1 BTC actually it was the Jackpot of 2.11585755 as seen in the link
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1110445.msg12866164#msg12866164

the Jackpot right now accumulated to 2.98022247
I've added some more information in regards to which games offer a progressive jackpot on each website.
Feel free to reply if you want something added.

I would like to add general sizes of the jackpots on each website, but I don't think that's feasible considering they're changing constantly..
5415  Other / Off-topic / Re: Where u use bitcoins? on: December 07, 2015, 12:05:11 AM
I use Bitcoin when ordering food online (pizza.be), pretty handy.

I also pay my phone bill with it through Mobile Vikings (Belgium).

Biggest purchase with Bitcoin has to be my Galaxy s5.
amazing you can order pizza with bitcoin ?
unfortunately, I haven't been able to enjoy it in my country, bitcoin hasn't been accepted  Undecided
Yeah totally, not just pizza though. Basically everything: Sushi, Italian food, Belgian fries,.....
With the recent price increases of Bitcoin, I've been enjoying lots of takeaway Cheesy
5416  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your story, how did you become interested in Bitcoin? on: December 07, 2015, 12:00:24 AM
I got into bitcoin in the beginning of 2013 after stumbling upon Bitcointalk I believe.
First I tried out some faucets and after a few days I bought my first coins at around $100, I think it was.

Forgot about them until Bitcoin was all over the news when the price went over $1000, near the end of 2013.
5417  Economy / Gambling / Re: List of Bitcoin casinos that offer games with a progressive jackpot on: December 06, 2015, 11:51:42 PM
Added freebitco.in to the list.
Multiple progressive jackpots on there as well...
5418  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Anyone having issue with Poloniex website, is it safe to use now? on: December 06, 2015, 04:29:45 AM
Yeah, I've had the same issue too, but after an hour or so it was fixed.
Gotta say that aside from that, I'm extremely satisfied with them...
5419  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gaming4coin - Bitcoin Gaming Directory on: December 06, 2015, 04:20:46 AM
The website looks really good, but you could also add some real games, I think there are some mmorpg's that use some form of cryptocurrency in-game.
5420  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Trustless Lending - an alternative to BTCJam on: December 06, 2015, 04:17:23 AM
I have launched a demo version of this site at http://cake-tmwdca.rhcloud.com/

Site looks pretty neat and simple but I guess since this is just a demo version there are still enhancements to be seen in the future. I'm interested to know how are you going to protect yourself again loan defaulters who uses a reversible collateral? The risk of having an unpaid loan is very high nowadays even if they have a collateral.
I would have very strict rules as to what is accepted as valid collateral. I will have to do a bunch of research on my end and find out what collaterals are, what the risk factors are of each factor and go from there. I will moderate the website myself to begin with and offer a paid-moderator position when the business takes off.  I still have to look into the interest formulae and fee algorithm but that is what I've got to work on next.
Would you only allow loans to take place with the use of collateral or do you plan on allowing loans without it as well?
I could see it being significantly less popular if you had to make use of collateral (sadly)...
