5404  Other / Meta / Re: Can we have a ponzi section added to the forums? on: February 11, 2015, 03:55:59 PM
Instead of making a ponzi section , there should be some kind of report as ponzi or whatever , and mods could just delete the thread i dont see why a ponzi section would be neccesary.

The problem is : the various ponzi schemes are not against the forum rules, why do you think the staff members should delete them ?
Maybe change the forum rules then ? i hate seeing people getting scammed from these ponzi schemes , and there's no reason at all not to remove them.

The problem what I think is 'if we start removing ponzis, we will have to remove so-called-cloud-mining'. If we start removing cloud mining, we will have to investigate on each and every companies which is hard IMHO. So its better to be untouched.

Ponzi sub-forum can't be added but atleast a red warning in 'Games and Rounds' like in 'Long-term offers' about the risks would be helpful.

5405  Economy / Goods / Re: Prevention is better than a cure. Please escrow. on: February 11, 2015, 01:20:52 PM
can anyone will help mr eith this escrow.thing.....I wanna know what is it and how it works

Escrow is a a bond, deed, or other document kept in the custody of a third party and taking effect only when a specified condition has been fulfilled. That is, suppose you want to sell 1BTC for $222. You will send your 1BTC to a trusted person for escrowing it. When buyer sends you $222 into your account, you will tell the escrower that you received the money. Then the escrower releases the 1BTC to the buyer's Bitcoin address. This is how escrow works.

Same here bro.

Create ad block doesn't working and e-mail support rejected. I think admin remove their e-mail, maybe.  Huh

same with me, can't sent e-mail anymore..., :\
I have sent e-mail twice, .. Huh Sad

Gmail blocked that email. They already cintacted Google to unblock and it will be done soon. Probably, other providers might have blocked that email too. See 1st page.

Dear Users,
First of all we apologize for the terrible support we have given our users for the past few months.
Our company has undergone major changes in this time span.
We are recovering and we are back with a support staff and developers working on the site.
Our mining facilities have been 100% overhauled, we are currently mining with the newest technology available.
Mining was, is and always will be our #1 priority.
The chat box and the forums are being fixed, the support tickets are being resolved.
Thanks for the comprehension and for never giving up on us!

Good to hear from you! Support this thread as long as you can or hire me for free! Wink

5410  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I "protect" my wallet on: February 11, 2015, 01:03:19 PM
Bitcoin Core is the most secure wallet, if you need better feature you can try Armory.

And usually hackers hack wallet from virus / malware

Many people can't/don't use them as Blockchain needs to be downloaded and it is over ~30 GB. So SPV clients like Multibit or Electrum or hardware wallets or paper wallets are their choice.

I vouch for this only because Ponzi threads are being advertised in the 'Games and Rounds' section and it is hard to conduct a giveaway or to find one. But, like redsn0w said, people may start to hide 'Ponzi' if it is created.

The problem is : the various ponzi schemes are not against the forum rules, why do you think the staff members should delete them ?
Actually it's not about against the rules.. It's about people's fate when attracted by ponzi... and boom! It's gone!

You are wrong! It's about people's greed!

Armory offline wallet, never connected to the internet or any network of any sort.
Offline transactions with Armory.  Best way Ive found so far and the program is
GREAT.  Lots of backup and offline wallet options.

I agree with you. But for people with less storage and/or low internet speed, Electrum(offline+online wallet) is their best choice.

P.S. They can also use Armory cold storage without installing Armory online wallet by inputting their address in counterwallet. I do it! Smiley

There are no rules that the above kinds of posts would be excluded. If they are excluding such posts then they should disclose such fact

Actually, you are right and I agree with you(if there are rules like this). As I have mentioned in my post, this is what I got through my quick-look. This maybe completely inaccurate and there maybe other reasons like some of his other posts might be spam.

Ok so finally I received my first payment of 0.0258. No clue why did I not get 0.035 though as I made over 50 posts but I am happy and will be trying and making more posts this week  Cool

You didn't make 50 quality posts. You made 50 posts in the 7 days period, in that 11 of your posts were in local forum and in altcoin section and 2 of yours were in this thread. So you will have to be paid for 37 posts, i.e., you will get 0.0259BTC and you got it but you posted 0.0258BTC which is a typo, please correct it. For proof, check the TX: 3be9d23c893c730c6e5cf81f3d2e575b0952cd0a67aa8d4b940c9f087709874f. I believe everything is solved. Smiley

P.S. There is nothing between me and Bitmixer. This is just my investigation. Grin

Another question.  What happens if you accidentally delete one of these addresses when it has bitcoins in it?
you can restore your wallet from seed and it will have the addresses inside

May I know how to delete an address except imported ones? You can't! Please don't spread FUD. Smiley

Subject: Temporary inconveniences but everything is under control
To: name.name@gmail.com

Good Day!

Greetings, dear users of BitMedia.IO!

It’s a big pleasure to work with you, to be on the same track as a team, to build and develop our product and make the world a little bit better!

As you can see today we had some difficulties in posting ads with BitMedia.IO. From now we are using absolutely new database architecture and due to this fact our company was experiencing some technical challenges. The process of moving to the new platform took us a little bit more time than we expected. We did our best to solve the problem and this would not happen again!

Another inconvenience is that the majority of you are waiting to hear back regarding the letter that you sent to email - support@bitmedia.io                       For sure, it’s not because we are lazy, or forgot about you, it’s all because Google has blocked our e-mail box due to some mysterious reason. We have already found out that the reason was in them, and Google promised to unlock the account as soon as possible. It just takes some time.

I just want to thank you for staying with us. We are almost done with a new feature of our advertising engine and soon we will surprise our advertisers and publishers with a new updates, which will save time for advertisers and help to earn more for publishers.

Be in touch!

Best Regards,
BitMedia Team
