If you believe that, i have news for you; you're a retard. The world love to blame everything and accuse muslims. Terrorists pretend to speak for islam, in fact , they are just a criminal gang taking islam as a shield to do whatever they want in the name of Allah. Just like the KKK did. Did we blame all of america ? No because we knew they were a bunch of stupid extremist people and don't represent all of the americains. Well, do the same and start thinking, the you'll realise that terrosrists are just criminals and do not represent all muslims.

Really?

I have news for you.  The KKK really did speak for the Democratic Party in various southern states of the USA. But in a hundred years, it killed less than modern radical Islam murders in two months.

So you are wrong on both counts, aren't you?

Or else there must be an awful lot of your "criminal gangs" in modern Islam, to manage 31,780+ vicious attacks since 2000.

In the last 30 days, there were 122 Islamic attacks in 25 countries, in which 779 people were killed and 790 injured. Your words "in fact , they are just a criminal gang taking islam as a shield."

Well, is that correct? So are there thousands of Islamic criminal gangs? Or one gigantic big one?

Why would the Arctic ice, which is all floating on the sea, cause an increase in sea level if it melts?

When we say Arctic ice sheets, we include the ice sheets in regions such as Greenland, Iceland, Lappland (Northern Scandinavia), Siberia, Ellesmere-Baffin islands (Northern Canada).etc. These ice sheets are located many hundreds of meters above the main sea level. If they melt, then there will be an increase in the sea level by many meters.

Usually the phrase "Arctic ice" refers to floating sea ice, because that's what is there. Part of Greenland etc. certainly are above the latitude line of the "Arctic circle."

Usually land based is is just called out as Greenland ice. That stuff is two miles thick....

Look at the history of Greenland. It was a warmer once before, when the Vikings had settlements there. Then it got colder and they all died. Now it's getting a bit warmer again. Nothing wrong with that.

I don't think you are going to see two mile thick ice melt.
5403  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Global Warming Real? on: September 22, 2017, 02:07:45 PM
Sea rise ..

Ice above water will add to the water making the water rise how high is anyone's guess ....

No.

The level of water in a glass with ice cubes does not change as the ice melts.

Global warming is the sudden increase of our earth's temperature. Global warming is really happening in our world now in fact it is getting many negative effect. One proof that global warming is really happening is when we observed that even it is rainy season, we can feel hot temperature in our surrounding. If this continue, there is a possibility that the arctic region can melt so many low lying areas may disappear. Global warming, along with the cutting and burning of forests and other critical habitats, is causing the loss of living species.

There is no sea level rise when things that are floating melt.

If ice on land melts and the water runs into the ocean, that will cause a slight sea level rise. Total sea level rise since 1880 is about 8 inches, and there is a trend of about 0.13" rise per year currently.

Assuming that continues for a hundred years, that would mean the oceans would be about a foot higher than today.

5406  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why islam allways blame? on: September 22, 2017, 01:06:41 AM
because you can see ISIS, they are a group that is in the name of Islam.
Islam became the scapegoat of all the riots that took place.

Yes. A lot of people tend to blame Islam without studying the facts. Actually Islam is getting tarnished due to the actions of a few of its deranged followers, who are a fringe minority within the religion.

A lot of people blame islam AFTER STUDYING THE FACTS.

Facts such as in many countries, 40-60% of the Muslim population support those radical minorities.

Facts such as the over 30,000 Islamic Extremist Attacks since the year 2000.

30,000 is a pretty big number.

Much bigger than "Fringe Minority."

A lot of people over time have learned how ordinary Muslims repeatedly and blatantly lie to protect their religion, such as is going on in this thread.

People have learned how and why Muslims are violent, and why they support violence.

The Takiyya is obvious these days.

Give it up and let's start being honest.

I don't know very much about it but there are a lot of hurricanes happening all at once

I have some news for you (and I live in an area these storms affect).

Hurricanes are normal weather.

That's why every year about August to October is called "Hurricane Season."

You would have to be a big fool if you think global warming is a hoax. We've been feeling the effects of it everywhere more times this year than probably a decade. Its real.and its here and if we don't do something quick, it will slap us so hard in the face that we may not be able to stand back up

It has already reached a stage where the effects can't be reversed (at least with the current technology). If we try hard to stop the situation from worsening any further, then our future generations may be having a planet where they can reside. If not, they will have to wander in the outer-space in space-ships, like the nomads and the gypsies.

I don't know of any scientific basis for the alarmist scenario you have projected.
5410  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Global Warming Real? on: September 18, 2017, 02:35:20 PM
....
The tropical glaciers are just vanishing. The effects can be seen in many of the mountain ranges, such as Andes, Himalayas and Kilimanjaro in Africa. Now it needs to be seen how the extinction of these glaciers are going to affect the fresh water flows in these regions. Already evidence has come to support the claim that many of the rivers are witnessing a decrease in their volumes.

I'm not quite following that. If a glacier shrinks, in the short run that increases ground water, which should cause a rise in rivers. In the longer run, is there a decrease in river volume?

The hydrologic cycle describes how water evaporates, then is deposited as rain or snow, then moves downhill to streams and rivers and eventually to oceans then to evaporate again.

Generally, the only way for a decrease in river volume to occur would seem to be for an area to have lower humidity in the air.

Sure, there could be some localized areas basically to the sides of glaciers that would have water flow affected by the shrinking (or expanding) of a glacier. So what?

yes, of course global warming is real, that is why the sea water rises when ice in Antarctica is melting.

NASA Study: Mass Gains of Antarctic Ice Sheet Greater than Losses

https://www.nasa.gov/feature/goddard/nasa-study-mass-gains-of-antarctic-ice-sheet-greater-than-losses

Temporary gains in the ice sheets can't reverse the damage done during the past many decades. And you are talking about Antarctica. What about the Arctic? The last time I heard, there were predictions that the Arctic Sea will be completely ice free in the summer. Overall, the trend is negative and you can't deny that. The rising sea level is a proof for that.
The statement that I corrected was about Antarctica. It's not temporary gains.

What about the Arctic?

Arctic ice is SEA ICE. Floating ice. The sea level does not change when Arctic ice melts.

"Overall the trend is negative..."

I have no idea what trend you refer to.
5412  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How to design a perfect cold storage? on: September 16, 2017, 03:08:54 AM
Some great ideas guys. It's weird how some ppl are happy just keeping coins on an exchange or in an online wallet. With all the goings on these days, don't discount EPM attacks. Possibly locking usb's and trezors etc in a metal safe would suffice. Although I guess if there were any EMP attacks most crypto would be wiped out and crypto would be the least of our worries.

store USB and such wrapped in several layers of aluminum foil.

Imprint stamped designs on the foil.

= "tamper resistant" while also being "tamper evident."

"Something" is in a bank safe deposit box.

You need a way to know, when you retrieve that item, that it is the same item, in the same condition, touched by nobody, since you put it there.

Otherwise, how do you even know it's the same USB?

Hey guys so I have been doing a lot of research  and thinking and all have proven that there are more women than men....so to equalize it all i think everyone anywhere should be allow to marry as many woman as he want in other to share all the women equally....give me your though every one

Look....

I understand where you're coming from on this but marrying more than one?

That would cut into the domains staked out by mistresses, kept women, playboy bunnies, penthouse pets, consorts, concubines, call girls, street whores, crack whores, Hustler girls, internet whores, Hooters chics, and so many others.

I bet it would even cut into the ranks of cheerleaders.
5415  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor or Paper Wallet? on: September 13, 2017, 02:31:17 PM
When it comes time to spend your paper wallet, you need to load that private key into some kind of device (eg. Computer, phone, table) and sign a transaction. At this stage, you have to worry about the security of that system. Is it compromised? Does it have a hacked/buggy RNG? Will it leak your keys through a side channel? The trezor does the signing securely on the device. The keys never leave it and never need to be loaded onto another device.

ONE argument for Trezor vs paper wallet for the long term is what happens if BTC goes to 500k. Suppose you were the lucky guy that had an old paper wallet with 20BTC.....

To use them, you must load the entire sum into some computer and at that moment it is exposed to possible compromise. Because of the "NO CHANGE" property of paper wallets, the entire sum must be swept or imported into a wallet.

A Trezor with 20BTC in that situation, you could pull out say 0.01BTC and only that would be exposed to possible compromise.

I think it would be wise with the Trezor to verify the operation of the HD word sequence restore in one or another wallet, say the Electrum, then to save a copy of that particular program on a flash drive and put it with the Trezor in a safe. You proved it worked with that one wallet, not with any or some wallet that might exist in ten years.

5416  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: wrong BIP38 password on: September 13, 2017, 11:31:18 AM
Yeah I got the paper wallet with the written passphrase on it. As I have mentioned I tried multiple times the password and every time is says ERROR: wrong BIP38 password. I know it is not a good idea to send private key to website, they even suggested what you recommended. Any idea how to solve this or can you point me to a person that can do it?

I would suggest trying to recreate the problem, using a key pair for testing only.

look at what you wrote down as the passphrase and think about how you could have erred.

... implicit errors in "writing it down."

Examples are.

"C" or "c"
"0" vs "O" vs "o"
"l" vs "1"
"7" vs "2" sometimes
presence or absence of a space between words
a missing character
transposed characters

Yesterday I wrote a note on paper. "Here is the summary."

Today I looked at that note and it said "Here is the summy."

Go figure....
5417  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin Core not showing new incoming transactions after restoring wallet.dat on: September 13, 2017, 12:34:10 AM
I am having problems getting new transactions to show up in a Bitcoin Core wallet I just restored.

A few days ago I reinstalled the OS on a machine I run with a full 0.14.2 node (which I compiled from source). I made a backup of my wallet.dat file, reinstalled the OS, and then restored my backup of the blockchain + wallet.dat file. So far so good. I then generated a new address using "bitcoin-cli getnewaddress" and made a withdrawal from an exchange to that address. The withdrawal has been confirmed in more than 10,000 blocks now, but the balance is not showing up when I run "bitcoin-cli getbalance", and the transaction is not showing up when I run "bitcoin-cli listtransactions".

More details, and things that look correct:
  • The transaction was part of block 0000000000000000018e18a6ad7d3c271fb426c77a50793c76ea37f4bbca679b, which has more than 10,000 confirmations now
  • When I run "bitcoin-cli validateaddress theaddress" it shows "ismine" as true, and gives me the hdkeypath and so forth
  • When I run "bitcoin-cli getaddressesbyaccount """ it lists the address I used
  • blockchain.info confirms the tx went through, and confirms that the address has the expected balance

Things that are incorrect:
  • "bitcoin-cli getbalance" does not reflect the expected balance
  • "bitcoin-cli listtransactions" does not show the transaction
  • "bitcoin-cli getreceivedbyaddress theaddress" shows 0.00000000

All of these things make me think that the bitcoin is secure and not lost, but perhaps somehow I misconfigured Bitcoin Core when I installed it and restored my wallet.dat file. I looked through my debug.log and didn't see anything that looked too suspicious. Can someone give me a recommendation on how to proceed from here?

Presuming that the rescan does not fix it -

It would be interesting to run a test with a 0.14.2 that was not compiled from source, just the standard download....

i don't really measure the temperature....there is no need for me to do that because i can feel it already that Global Warming is real...i can compare the heat of the sun when i was in college...before i can still stand the heat within how many hours, but now,..it is really frustrating...the heat feels like i am dying...it feels like the heat has a sharp teeth biting my skin...even in a short period of time... in that experience i can say that Global Warming is really REAL....no doubt...

None of what you've said is correct, and your conclusion is wrong.

We've got this thing called science, and we take measurements and build theories.

Then we attempt to prove or disprove those theories.

"Global Warming" is not even a scientific theory....

By chance I was looking at the same issue earlier today. The README file has permissions set of 755, these are incorrect. Correct would be 644, it is not an executable file.

755 causes execution if you click on it, the system goes through the file looking for executables. You are seeing the errors from it not finding things to execute.

You can show this by keeping an OS X window open to the directory, entering terminal, going to the directory and

cp README README.test
chmod 644 README.test

and it becomes a text file clearly in the OS X window
click on it it acts like a text file.
(check for bad stuff in it.)

I agree the "exec" seen in OS X for what should be a README is a warning flag, and that it shouldn't be clicked on because you're giving an unknown thing permission to run on your system.

Anyone can guarantee for using these service? I mean, how if site got hacked Huh

It can be guaranteed that you don't want to enter private keys of yours into any website.

You must consider not only is the website safe but those handling your data stream on it's way to that website.
