5421  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: rent power hashing / how???? on: August 27, 2018, 05:13:52 AM
Use the hash power from nicehash to mine only newer coins ,you will get more profits ,all you have to do is make sure that the new coin you select has low difficulty ,this way you will earn more
thanks dear
No, if mining new coins using rented hashing power is profitable, you could have just bought the coins during its ICO (non-token) crowdfunding stage or the earliest exchanges that already included that particular coin.

Mining new (low difficulty) coins to earn a bunch with little to low hashing power is only reasonable if you already got the hardware and cheap electricity to mine them.
Otherwise, buying them is more cheaper than mining.

Renting hash power is profitable in huge numbers, like buying Petahash of power to "solo mine" a coin using a silly method by making your own pool to point the "rented hash power".
5422  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Can I create new private key on: August 27, 2018, 03:57:50 AM
I entered an invalid  private key and a pop up window had the following:
You mean this pop-up window?

It's pretty self explanatory.
Since you've entered an invalid private key, the site's asking you if you want to make a "Brainwallet" out of it as a new private key and address pair.
Yeah that could go over any newbies' head or non-English speaker's, it's pretty unnecessary option and should be depreciated  from the code.

Do what pooya87 told you, click cancel.
5423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Seeking Feedback on Crypto Sports Trading Project on: August 26, 2018, 10:37:25 AM
I definitely plan on doing that. Should that be done before my landing page is officially completed?
Which part?
For now make use of the forum features like your own signature space, website link, skype and other contact info
that can be edited here: forumProfile (if the link didn't work go to your profile, then click "Forum Profile Information")
Link them to any of your affiliated pages and be active on the forum (do not spam) to promote the links without being annoyingly-obvious.

You can start by establishing Social Media pages, Discord and Telegram groups as a drop point for interested individuals to share your vision, mission and goals while the project rolls on.
Whether they are interested to the bounty, airdrop or potential investors, any person can act as a "free advertiser" for you.

Start the "actual marketing" once you've completed a solid plan, a reliable team and a considerably 'working' part of the roadmap.
5424  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Recovering weird old wallet on: August 26, 2018, 07:14:12 AM
You might want to try that on coinomi wallet,if its bitcoin core you will get it back and if its bitcoin itself you will get it back ,coinomi supports 12 seeds,18seeds too and it has both bitcoin and bitcoin core even other several coins
As far as I know, Coinomi was established in Mid year 2014 while OP stated that the SEED backup was written between 2012 and 2013.
Just one year (could be valid), but the OP hasn't been responded after the best replies since August 15;
so, the issue should have been resolved already... hopefully.

May I ask you, what is the difference between bitcoin core and bitcoin (itself)? :)
5425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Seeking Feedback on Crypto Sports Trading Project on: August 26, 2018, 06:15:52 AM
Can anyone recommend the best way to market?
Can't suggest the best considering your team's current state, just start with links.
Buy a Copper Membership (about $20) to enable links and remove the newbie restrictions.
Go to your profile settings to add a signature with links to this thread, your ANN thread and/or Telegram & Social Media pages, use the Website/Skype info boxes as well.
fast-forward:

Now if things gone smoothly:
  • If you got a small budget (since the reward are the tokens/coins itself), start an altcoin bounty signature/twitter/facebook campaign to spread the word (Cheap but don't often get enough good posters, mostly spammers; mostly despised by forum members)
  • Got the funds? Start a Signature Campaign handled by a good bounty manager, ICOs and projects which endorsed by those often have good returns in terms of fame/trends.

regards.
5426  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Extreme Long Private KEy.. on: August 26, 2018, 05:24:11 AM
could it be 2 keys together ? where should i separate it ?

im sure its a private key from a wallet but from what ? what kays have the lenght of 97 98 vharacters ?
As for bitcoin, compressed privates key consist of 52 characters and should start with "L" or "K".
If uncompressed, 51 characters that starts with "5".

I can only suggest that it is an Electroneum (Public Wallet) address.

Here's an example of an ETN address: etnkNg655xHbLb86HJaLD4TbvDqkoE5oqTpNaW98928pZVfArPBkMKiVZA8NCWMakqFxV8UMskBjJVX DTUuYNSTP9AzGTtotQs
its private (spend) key starts with 70e.... and the private (view) key starts with 994.... (both has 64 characters)
with that info, try to find which is which.
5427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: B250 mining expert no bios, no signal to screen on: August 25, 2018, 11:35:59 AM
Reseated the cpu, tried removing one stick of ram and swapping them over etc. Nothing yet, brand new PSU 750w.

Still no post?

Sounding like mother board is broken?
Also, remove the SSD.
Just the PSU, Motherboard, CPU and RAM connected to a monitor.

If it still didn't boot, seems like you're right, yes it's broken.
Most B250 mining expert threads here and from external forums consists of faulty (little to few problems) b-new Mobo that were suggested to be replaced.

But before you RMA that board, can you tell us the CPU model that you've bought together with the Mobo, was it a 6th or 7th gen intel CPU?
And what was the previous Motherboard that you've replaced by this?
5428  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Extreme Long Private KEy.. on: August 25, 2018, 07:51:06 AM
I have find a private key or something else its 98 character long and it looks like

etnkfghv1FFA..........................................................nAP52rz9o jDro
First look and I remembered that private keys, public keys and addresses by Electroneum (ETN) have "etn" as its first three characters.
I will edit this shortly after checking one of the etn address from my wallet.

-Edit-
Okay, ETN private keys didn't start with etn, but the address does, and mine contains 100 characters.
But this strongly suggests that it might be an ETN address which didn't have much of a use without its Private Spend key as they call it (equivalent to Private key)
However, you cannot check the address' balance since their blockexplorer doesn't allow ETN addresses' balance to be viewed by everyone (privacy issues)

There's still a chance that it could be something else.
5429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Help Us Mine Linda Coin! on: August 25, 2018, 07:40:13 AM
On a Laptop or Mobile or desktop.
-snip-
I am interested in Mining the Coin.
Well the linda isn't interested in you... chill.

Seriously speaking, any of the three can't mine that coin since it uses Scrypt Algorithm as POW and it is a POS hybrid (I've only read google search results about this coin since I'm not interested) Moreover, there's more profit on its POS (masternodes) side than POW (mining).
Scrypt ASICs are now all over the place so the best bet is to sway your interest away from coins with that algorithm unless you have access to high-end multi-GPU rigs or a bunch of Scrypt ASICs as well.

For some reason, I got the feeling that this thread isn't about getting help to mine Linda coin, it's more of a QueenBee Hive MiningPool thread extension.
5430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I Am Unplugging My Bitcoin Cash Miners & You Should Too | ASIC Mining Is Dying on: August 25, 2018, 06:08:43 AM
The first thing that I've noticed that didn't make cents is the the title: I Am Unplugging My Bitcoin Cash Miners & You Should Too | ASIC Mining Is Dying. That's misleading, specially for newbies.
BTC and BCH (you know the political war)
Contents explains about the increasing difficulty of Bitcoin and also provided links to Bitcoin-related profit calculators, charts and speculation sites.

Anyways, that's pretty expectable considering that ASIC manufacturers doesn't have a limit on who to sell (until now) and how many products to produce, mostly based on the demand.
Nothing's bad for them at the moment, quitting miners and lower sales can cause some minor problems to them but overall, it wont stop them from producing better models since it's their (selfish) business to begin with.

Saying "ASIC mining is dying" while trying to sale ASICs is whole new method of advertising, surely it will work as intended  Smiley
5431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 💥 List of ongoing Mining-ICOs - get your first important information here 💥 on: August 24, 2018, 10:18:39 AM
They offer tokens instead of limited cloudmining contracts. The tokens are used to get your profits from mining and if you hold the tokens in your Erc20 wallet the profits will be paid out to this wallet depending on the number of tokens you have there.
Interesting, so their tokens work like stakes or shares, totally what ETH Smart Contract was built for.

May I request to add information about the payout: [1]Do they reward more of their tokens or the [2]Company's assets are shared based on the max number tokens (including profits)?
Because there's a huge difference between the two regarding their benefits.
Like for example: [1] is more preferred by scammers; althought the latter[2] still depends on their integrity, it is much more acceptable for investors.

Just a small addition to your researching task  Smiley
5432  Other / Meta / Re: Please show Trust in Project Development on: August 24, 2018, 05:31:38 AM
Thanks for that but now I feel just more confused: I've seen that some of the enlisted names you've provided me are stricken out. That means that they once were trusted but not anymore? And, if so, why?
Most likely, yes.
Based on this old post: Re: How to get into the Default Trust list?, those with strikethrough are the users who've lost their Green Trust Rating and/or their reputation, and...
The official announcement from theymos includes:
If your trust list is totally empty, you trust "DefaultTrust", which includes some trustworthy people that I'll select.
He personally picked them, unless there was a change in the system that I missed.

Quote from: Helana
If they were trusted and they lost their credibility -just if that' s the case- then, what happens with the trust they give to others?
It will stay on the user's profile but it will not be displayed (in the profile or forum) by default, anyone can see the "Untrusted feedback" by clicking "show ratings" button if they want though.

For example, user: Patriciaparakeet has [Trust: 0: -0 / +0]
But when you look at his trust page and clicked the "show ratings" button below "Untrusted feedback", there were two negative feebacks that was written by untrusted users which doesn't have much weight on the user's reputation. (now, read my first reply again)

-edit and response to the next post-
After a user was removed from DT list, his previous trust rating will be counted the same as other "untrusted" users. Unless you've included his name on your trusted users list.
5433  Other / Meta / Re: Please show Trust in Project Development on: August 24, 2018, 03:29:57 AM
Yes, but what about ranking? For instance, try to imagine that someone got's an underserved redtrust as a payback from a personal issue with someone,
-snip-
Don't you worry, the trust system works like a "voting" system on who to trust, aka Default Trust
Depth 2 is the default for registered accounts (unless you tweaked it).
Users in the Default Trust 2 are responsible enough to be trusted.

If the user who gave a negative trust wasn't included in the DT2 trust list, it wont be displayed, most users will just ignore the ones (hidden) in the profile.
So, you will not get a red-tag or a negative reputation from a retaliative negative trust rating from a regular member.
5434  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can I trust telegram signals? on: August 23, 2018, 03:48:12 AM
No it's not, period.
Did we got the consensus here? If yes you can now lock this thread before more "no you can't trust it" replies come.

And if the signal was an experiment to understand if the A.I. can predicted or not the value of Bitcoin? It would be interesting!
I got a feeling that you're pro-trading signals, if there is an experimental A.I. which is trying predict the future value of Bitcoin, it didn't even need newbies to follow its signal.
It needs information (history) and current events, not a cult of followers.
5435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Do PCIe expansion ports work? on: August 23, 2018, 03:37:50 AM
Check these videos (not mine): Mining. 1 to 4 PCIe extension card on MSI H67ma e35 B3 motherboard & PCI e 1 to 4 adapter. 2 pci e slots & 4 Gtx 1060's

Based on the Videos, that expansion port is best used on motherboards with one or two PCI-e slots.
Theoretically, expanding a four-slot board to 16 using that wont be an issue, but buying new motherboard or rig for the additional cards is more preferable IMO.
Did you checked the price tag of that PCIe expansion port?

5436  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Server wont sync on: August 23, 2018, 03:15:04 AM
How would ElectrumX syncing issues cause you to lose coins?  -snip-
Read Lucius' reply and/or check the links he included. gator66 must be a victim of a scam.

OP's Electrum version for BCBC must be a fake.
Possibly, the private keys of all of the users of that fake wallet are now in the hands of the owner of that ElectrumBCBC fork after deleting all sources and forum threads (evidences). Or the coins doesn't have value at all, just a bait for their ICO, and now discarded.

Typical scam modus operandi.
5437  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Is blockchain really needed for security? on: August 22, 2018, 09:11:54 AM
But then that will bring us back to my previous post where I was asking "what is a blockchain?". Does the unquestionability of bringing consensus, or the "truth", to a "blockchain" have to be secured by proof of work? Because for me it has to.
Creating a "blockchain" for the sake of having it called a "blockchain" is moronic.
We may be moronic to call blockchain "blockchain" but the fact that even if is wasn't called POW/mining/TheMatrix or something, the information about Proof of Work wasn't been disregarded.
That's how Terminology works and I hate it (Honestly, I'm bad at remembering names).

Okay, let's just stop there.
That's your opinion and you expressed your point, I'm not against it.

We're getting off topic.
5438  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Is blockchain really needed for security? on: August 22, 2018, 05:41:57 AM
If there is no agreed upon definition then "blockchain" is nothing more than a term used to join the bandwagon. Anything can be a blockchain according to your belief, which is also moronic.
Haha, that clearly not what i mean.
That's why I hate Terms, a person may know what the "thing" is, but he may be unaware of what it is called.

I mean IMO, the blockchain technology can be called other than "blockchain" if it isn't applied to digital currencies.
5439  Other / Meta / Re: List of spam bots on: August 22, 2018, 05:28:52 AM
Nuked, thanks.
Will this ever end?
I mean, nuking, banning them will only temporarily patch the issue.
Can you do something to the current registration requirement to block these bots from making new accounts? Although they can manually make accounts to bypass it, it could decrease the rate of the growing number of registrations.

They are fighting the intensive moderation with numbers.
5440  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: problem trying to spend form multi sig address on: August 22, 2018, 04:21:00 AM
i have a problem importing the private keys in electrum.

"please enter the master public key(xpub) of your cosigner" ?
enter their master private key(xprv)if you want to be able to sign for them" well in my case i will sign the whole thing so i want to import all private key but when i paste the private keys there the next button still unavailable...
Does the text above says: "Add cosigner 1", yes?
Electrum's multisig wallet even without cosigner service like TrustedCoin requires you to restore three (if the address requires 3 signatures) different Electrum wallets from each of the Master Public Key of the cosigner.
Then, use their xpub as the cosigner 1, 2 or 3.
The tricky part is how to restore that address, so you must use the xpubkey or seed of your coinb.in account, not just the address' private keys.
AFAIK, you can't use Electrum to do that (I'm not using coinb.in, so I might be wrong).
