5421  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Andreas Antonopolous raising funds for Dorian Nakamoto on: April 01, 2014, 03:06:19 PM
I, too, am curious to see what's going on with this fundraiser.

Will this amount of BTC ever touch Dorian's hands?

5423  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: April 01, 2014, 02:55:21 PM
As only a "Member", there is no choice for me, PD doesn't really pay out to Members so I have to stick with the best rates in town.

RGC is proven now, paid out, beat PD, and barring them just shutting down their business unexpectedly, is the best paying Ad campaign in the Bitcointalk forum for "all levels".

This might change, as Stunna can't keep having members flock like the Salmon of Capistrano to Ritz Grand Casino.
5424  Economy / Services / Re: ★★★ HIGHEST SIGNATURE PAYMENT ON THE BOARD - NEW RATES FOR APRIL ★★★ on: April 01, 2014, 02:27:12 PM
RGC paid as promised, I will leave positive feedback if you leave me some as well.   Smiley

Thanks alot, and I will continue to post here in this ad campaign.   Grin

After taking screenshot with your laptop, upload to imgur.com, then post image link here surrounded by the insert img link.

NTP is the time syncronisation. If you go to system -> system. You will see the time syncronisation box. Try disable it.

Hey Angus,

Post a screenshot of your miner configuration and wan interface configuration so we can help you here.

Chuck

I don't think its the config pool says its alive but no hashrate and the green light on the side of miner is not lit up.

my wan set up 192.168.2.35 ipv4
                255.255.255.0 netmask
                 192.168.2.1 default gateway
                   192.168.2.255 ipv4 broadcast
                      8.8.8.8 custom dns server

miner config  stratum+tcp://pool.webcoin.us:3388
                    AngusCanine.Jason
                     1234

Hey Angus, try taking out the stratum+tcp://

Just enter pool.webcoin.us:3388 then hit Apply and Save.
stratum+tcp:// is irrelevant to the problem. I think it's his internet's problem. My assumption is that the ant lost internet connection -> causes the green light to blink.

I have stratum+tcp:// on my 3 pool addresses and my lovely little ant works fine!

Looks like pool settings/issue or something if he has getworks.  I think Angus should try a bigger pool just to test.

Try BTCGuild or Eligius to see if it makes any difference.
Pool could be a problem.
I tried slushes pool , I reset the miner and tried letting it mine the antpools from bitmain its all thesame

Try BTCGuild or Eligius.

Black Shit, not black arrow, only knc and bitmain.

KNC, you mean that company that's probably mining with all their customers preorder money, built a state of the art mining facility, and still had enough customer money leftover to finance their Titan scrypt miner project?

Yea, really it's just Bitmain, the trillion Coincraft clones,  and Spondoolies Tech at the moment.

5431  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ok, let China ban bitcoin, we do NOT need them. on: March 30, 2014, 01:04:34 AM
Nothing against China, but it's probably because of their actions that Bitcoin price is as volatile as it is.

I'd rather have it more steady so we can gain more traction with businesses,  investors, and the mainstream instead of speculative pump and dumpers.
5432  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Bitmaintech.com on: March 28, 2014, 08:12:30 PM
Laptop can be wireless, that's fine.  So can the Ant, but for stability purposes let's keep the Antminer on Ethernet.

Were you able to connect to the Ant and configure?
5433  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $1.99/GH/s, miners from $2.97/GH/s on: March 28, 2014, 06:23:01 PM
Well said, Pentax.

It still boggles my mind that in the face of this 3 month delay, they still had the audacity to start a scrypt miner project with their customers money...

Soon to be BFL Junior.
Soon? BFL atleast did some refunds...

Believe alot of the Minersource refund requests have been processed, although the BA ones(ironically) have been very sketchy.

Just want to see the next couple of updates first before I personally make a decision to kick or stick.

cant connect to s1 at  http://192.168.1.99  Trying to connect from my laptop; Ethernet cable is pluged into bell 2wire gateway. when I type in ip says page cant be displayed

Is your laptop and router on the same network as the Ant?

From your laptop, do an ipconfig, and confirm it's also a 192.168.1.x address first.

Its not the same how do I change it and should the Ethernet cable be plugged in the router or my laptop

First take note of what your Laptop IP is and what your Router IP is(Gateway usually ending in .1) by doing an Ipconfig on the laptop.

Connect an ethernet cable directly from your laptop to the Antminer.  On your laptop, change your laptop Network Adapter setting(not wifi adapter) from automatic to manual or static IP address on same network as Antminer.  This is usual in Network and Sharing, Network connections, Local Area Connection, Properties, IPv4.   Make it like 192.168.1.123 or something, Subnet mask 255.255.255.0, and Gateway 192.168.1.1 then hit OK and OK again.

Give it a few seconds to connect to the Antminer network, then go to a browser and go to 192.168.1.99.  Log into the Antminer then go to Network, Interfaces, WAN, Edit.  Change the IP to a free IP on the same network your laptop and router is on, make sure the gateway is the same IP as your router IP, leave mask alone, then make custom DNS 8.8.8.8
Click Save and Apply, give it a minute or so, then unplug ethernet cable, set your Laptop back to Automatic IP.

Once your laptop back on the same network as router, open browser then go to Antminer new IP and login, configure Miner configuration with pool address and worker info, and you should be on your way.

Good luck,

Chuck

Sorry, not for $5000 or 10 BTC it isn't, dude.  No chance to ROI in fiat or coins.

$3000-$3500 maybe.  There are many other places around in this forum (Group Buys section?) you can get it sub $4000 at least.

This isn't sub $4000, but it's definitely not $5000:

http://minersource.net/collections/frontpage/products/1-ths-28nm-miner

Either that or get in line for an Antminer S2.

You guys gotta do your homework....

I didn't say it was profitable or not, I just said, if you want  1th/s mining power *now*, there's not many options. There's clearly a couple, but not many.
YOu do need to do your homework though, I agree with that.  There's still people pre-ordering BFL's Monarch, which they probably won't see for 9 months. They see a pretty website and think it's gotta be an OK company...well, I dunno what they think really

See here for $3k miner.  Use escrow of course:

5,000 bucks? DAMN.

There's not many options if you want a miner today. Where else can you get 1Th/s in stock ready to ship? THe pre-order game doesn't seem to be panning out for many, the numbers look great, but your months away from getting anything, even then it's only a possibility, alot of those companies are playing games, overstating their expected ship dates, or just downright scams. Having something ready to go right now is, well, worth it to many .

Update.

This group buy is for the same miner at around $3,000.  As always proceed with caution and always use escrow:

That's pretty crazy if it's legit and goes through.

Went from $5700 to $3000. guy must be desperate.
5440  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 2 Antminer S1 - one power supply on: March 27, 2014, 10:29:34 PM

NO!!!  Single Rail not double!!

CORSAIR, I repeat....CORSAIR ONLY to be safe.  You spent on Ants, you might as well spend on the power supply.    Grin

really curious, why not double?

You can potentially overload one rail if it's 2.  Power draw is balanced on a single rail.
