Interesting story, especially the part how you never posted anything in bitcointalk forum or explain how that happened. I was just about to ask the same thing, how come he never botherered to say anything about this alleged "hack" in their thread. @luckyflop was active up until March 2016, and then in April people realized site has been shut down without any warning or reason why. No "sorry guys we have been hacked, we are going out of business" or "sorry guys hackers took all your and our money" etc, absolutely nothing. That is not how honest online casino conducts its business. I was part of the team and didn't post here often as it wasn't my responsibility
How convenient. You had to expect that this will bite you in the ass, as some people from this forum obviouuly lost the money and never got an explanation about what exactly happened. Out of the poor excuses I've read over the years, this must be one of the laziest oen I've ever read. That's an euphemism for "I though that coast is clear now so I can come back without any consequences and earn some money via this account". Unless its bought account, which could be the case.

I have very interested to buy and install a couple of these machines around area where I am living. But without a sustainable cash flow it's just an expensive machine with high cost of maintenance/high fees for end user. Probably this is a market profitable only for big whale or company with tens of ATM in big cities.
Yep, BTC ATM business seems attractive at first, but when you put some numbers on the paper it is a bit more complicated. Some time ago I was playing with the idea of buying one of those with few of my friends and installing it somewhere but after some napkin math we quickly changed our mind. Good machines with buy/sell options cost at least 10,000 USD, then you have to rent the space, register the business, pay the taxes etc and all this with not taking huge fees as you have to stay competitive with others in the business. It turns out that you need tens of thousands of dollars worth of transactions per month just to stay in black, let alone profit in order to get the investment back. Unless you own some good place where you can install it (some popular bar for example) you will have extremely tough time. One thing to consider is the privacy of the installation itself, and the buy/sell process. I’ve got a BTC ATM not too far away, which it is located within a store. The ATM is seemingly small, and I figure that all the cash needs to go through the teller (*), which is fine for some people (as they will aid them in the process), but personally, I’d rather not have to let someone know what amounts I’d purchase, nor the frequency of my habits.
Well that sucks, that there is still someone near so it's not very anonymous , or at least not anonymous enough for some. The place I am using for last couple of years has 2 crypto ATMs in some small rented place ( one is for buying and selling few most popular altcoins like Dash, ETH, Monero and the other just for BTC) with only surveillance camera, so there is some sort of anonymity. They also don't ask for any kind of SMS verification as I've seen few of those that ask that and it sucks as you can be easily identified nowadays through your mobile number. The only downside of all this is the fact that they take 5% fee, which is a lot imho, but I know that they don't make huge profit out of it considering the expenses.

A taj broj stalno raste.
Ethereumu treba stabilnost.

October is behind us, time to see how local boards performed during that period As in all monthly overviews so far, all data was taken from @DdmrDdmr Merit Dashboard. If you want more in depth analysis of each local boards, I suggest you check that awesome tool. Names marked with * don't have their own local board and are located in Other languages/locations.
Post activity per local board during October 2020
Once again Russian board is way ahead of the others, but this time even more as they had huge increase of post activity in Altcoin section (basically all difference compared to previous months comes from there). Turkish and German board are 2nd and 3rd spot as always so no surprises there. Rest of the boards had pretty much similar activity like in previous months. One thing that can always mess up these numbers and paint the wrong picture is number of deleted posts, and that's what exactly happened in Arabic board, that is more active than it seems based on this chart, as they had more than 400 deleted posts, for some reason. same thing can be said about Chinese board that is not even on the list due huge amount of post deleted, but that is not news anymore. Merit shared per local board during October 2020As in previous chart, not many surprises there this month. There were no big amplitudes in majority of boards, but there are few exceptions; Pilipinas board increased merit shared by almost 100% compared to September (from 70 to 137) while Polish board had exactly the opposite thing, merit shared decreased by 90% (from 83 to 8 ). Huge changes, especially in the latter case as their post activity didn't change drastically to explain that difference. Merit senders and receivers per local board during October 2020This chart generally follows the previous one, as it is natural that local boards with more merit shared have more members involved, but there are always few exceptions in which more members are part of the merit system compared relative to merit shared. As always, Pilipinas board especially sticks out, with Indonesian joining too. Merit/Post ratio per local board during October 2020Last but not the least, merit ratio chart. Once again Arabic board is at the top, followed by three big boards: Italian, Spanish and German. Some boards like Pilipinas doubled the ratio (from 0.08 to 0.16) while some that were already low like Russian even decreased, but that's due that huge amount of altcoin section posts. Polish board at the bottom of this chart is not a surprise since their amount of merit shared decreased by 90%. As always, it's worth to mention that this chart can vary a lot each month due various reasons, so it shouldn't be taken too seriously. For clearer picture longer period of time is needed.
edit I've added four communities that don't have their own local boards: Pakistan, Bangladesh, Serbian and Nigerian. They seemed like a most consistently active ones among those from Other Languages/Location and that was the main criteria.

The Crypto Cruise Ship Satoshi is 811 feet long with 12 decks and 777 cabins to be auctioned off as condos. It will have three restaurants, a juice bar, two cafes, three bars, two pools, four whirlpools, a water park, and more, Ocean Builders’ website details. Bitcoin will be accepted throughout the ship for all goods and services, alongside U.S. dollars and other forms of payment.
According to the Maritime Executive publication, the Crypto Cruise Ship Satoshi was formerly a cruise ship called the “Pacific Dawn” by P&O Cruises Australia. Built in 1991, it has been operating with Princess Cruises and P&O Australia. Evo i odgovora na neka pitanja Hey guys, yes it will not be so much like your typical cruise. We're even trying to come up with another term than "cruise ship" since it will be stationary. You will need to pay for the things you utilize on the ship (electric, water, food, entertainment, etc.). I agree, it is more like a very small town. Many people think they would get bored quickly but you have to remember that when you are on a cruise, you're not working and you're scrambling to do every little thing during your one week that you can hardly take a break leaving you needing a vacation after your vacation when you get home. But if you're working every day, busy, etc. things will become a lot less boring. As most people were stuck in their apartments for the past 6 months, if they were able to go out and go to a restaurant that would be a step up from the isolation. I like to think of each cabin as your bedroom as suchmoon mentioned. The rest of the ship is your living space. It will likely not be for everyone. That's why we're targeting young folks, perhaps fresh out of college or around there. When I lived in my first apartment it was just big enough for my bed. But I lived next to campus where I spent my day. It is certainly not a 3000 sqft McMansion so we're not targeting people that need that to be happy. My goal is to keep the prices down. We want this ship filled quickly so we can buy our next one while the prices are low. We are likely selling way below what they can go for but we're more enthusiastic about making this work than making big bucks. Every one of the investors could lose the money they put into this and not be too affected. We are in this for the bigger picture. As for the idea of joining 2 or 3 rooms. We're working with the insurance company and will consult with the engineers but I am all for customers buying 2-3 adjoining rooms and opening some walkways. Our main engineer said it mainly depends upon if there is a bulkhead between the rooms, and we need to look into it more but at the very least, a door between rooms should be possible for most cabins. There are already several with that feature. For monthly maintenance fee. That is something I am working with our ship management company, Columbia Cruise Services, to determine the monthly cost to maintain it. They have given me an estimate which is quite high but it is based upon a normal cruise. We are running the numbers and I believe we can get the number down to a reasonable amount so people can live there without needing to be super rich. Part of that monthly maintenance will be covered by the rent we charge for the commercial areas. Bars, restaurants, shops, etc. Again, I want to keep prices down because I want people to live there so if you have to pay $50 for every meal it's not viable. To make up for no kitchens in the rooms we're giving all residents 20% off at the restaurants. This passes some of that cost on to tourists. We'll have each restaurant have buffet options if people want to pay for a meal plan. My wife plans on opening a small Thai restaurant in the food court which will have a few items that would be on the buffet plan which she would be compensated for with her share of the meal plan payments. She would choose some more common foods as "all you can eat" while keeping some specialty/expensive items as optional pay-as-you-go items. The ship is currently in the Mediterranean. Our engineer just left here (Panama) on Friday and will finally be able to board the ship in 2 days after a lot of travel and quarantines. He will stay on until we finish the purchase November 4th, then work with the new crew to sail it here to Panama where it will be anchored. I hope Bitcoin enthusiasts come live on the ship and test out new tech in a micro economy where we can try new things to see how well it works in every day life.

People are so quick to believe anything. That is not my ETH address. This is ridiculous post your ETH address here I will buy $20 ETH and send it to you so everyone can see
According to that screenshot of PM conversation that's the ETH address you sent him, and if you check hash, he sent ETH to that address. Or you claim that @Small Rabbit faked those private messages and changed the address in order to frame you for stealing 20 USD?
|
|

Based on that screenshot you said that you can't send first due his negative feedback, but you did that anyway. What happened so you changed your mind? Is the fact that it was "only" 20 USD so you decided to take that risk? Regarding @boldar, that user recently woke up after 3 years break, and based on his feedback he is not someone you should trust without escrow, as mentioned by @philipma1957, so you can't say that you weren't warned as you decided to ignore several red flags in order to save some money. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.postimg.cc%2FVsRgrHWy%2Ftrust1.jpg&t=663&c=GEcSwca4pumAjg) Waiting for @boldar to come here and share his side of the story.

Well I have had talks with other managers too when I was mocked at by the telegram accounts running the project for asking details of the team in many cases. It's very unprofessional for them to ask me a counter question like "do you know who is satoshi?" by the team members.
That is probably the worst possible argument for staying anonymous, and often used by scammers. They conveniently keep forgetting that Satoshi didn't organize any ICO asking people for money, he didn't shill Bitcoin on social media, promising some huge returns like they all do, he naturally mentioned references he used for his whitepaper etc. It is simply ridicolous to compare yourself to Satoshi when you are running just another shitcoin project. I accept that they wish to remain anon, but if they do they are not getting money from users like me who always do their due diligence.
Totally agree. You want to stay anonymous?Ok, then invest your own money to finish the project and don't ask me for mine and we are all good. Its my suggestion though to steer away from any DeFi investments now. Bitcoin is the way to go.
That's my suggestion too. Maybe in the future DeFi will live up to its potential but in current situation this is just way too risky to even call it investment. It's like spending money in Casino on roulette you call "an investment". BTC went up 100% since beginning of this year. If that's not enough for someone and he wants 1000% apy then he doesn't know much about economy and real world returns.

One of the good and bad things about the next yield farming projects is the team's ideal of remaining anonymous.
Worst thing about is that investors don't mind that at all, and they trading and investing in shitcoin projects that can't even reveal team identity, and some of them don't even bother producing whitepaper. One would thing that all this altcoin scene will look better than in 2017, but things even regressed and projects are worse than ever. I mean, back them shitcoins even had team behind it and some paper, now they don't even bother with that. Crazy times. One thing I noticed additionally is the "fake discussion" with another shill-account in their ANN-thread. It's quite obvious that they used a second account to shill the information about their upcoming presale. Please see the quotes for reference:
Yeah I noticed that too, that's why I mentioned in the first post that they immediately started shilling their ANN thread and faking the interest with that sock puppet account that is either controlled by OP someone from this scammy team of people behind this. I didn't bother tagging him as he already has 4 different tags related for previous scams so it is obvious to everyone what's going on there. As someone said, scammers are pretty stupid sometimes. Anyway, one more scam to be added on your list.

I don't know what to say if someone is that crazy to send coins to this website promising unreal 23% APR for staking.
Well, since people believe that much bigger returns are possible and they send their crypto to various ponesi schemes, I wouldn't be surprised if many fall for the this as it looks more realistic that those 1% daily scams. It's interesting that they are using ethereum.org terms of service and links and that should also be reported.
I agree, this attempt isn't the worst I've seen lately, they went to some length to appear legit. People who are falling to this are misinformed and not knowledgeable on what's happening in Ethereum, it's not yet launch the staking feature are still coming soon and you need 32 Ethereum to stake
While it's true that you need 32 ETH in order to stake, but AFAIK that's for being a validator. Most likely there will be public pools where people with less than 32 ETH will be able to join and get some profit so I guess these scammers are aiming for those people.

Zakon ponude i potražnje radi svoje.

What happened: YLD Defi plagiarized website content from Singularity.NET. Since they were unable to use their own words to explain some basic features of their own project, you can't expect anything else from these scammers other than so called "rug pull". Like plagiarism wasn't enough, they also started shilling Ann with some old account (previously taggers for promoting some old scam) that suddenly woke up after three years break, pretending to be interested. Two new threads have been added to the list 78. [ANN] BambooDeFi: Staking, Farming & Raindrop ecosystem.79. Finminity. DeFi Finance solution for Community based crowdfundingAccounts working on these two threads are also active in two previously added threads, Bonfi and Exolover. Another thing that connects accounts working on these two ANN threads is the subtle way they promote BonFi, by casually sliding in Bonfi related articles in different non-Bonfi threads/conversations. Here is one example how that looks like, but there are more of that, done in the similar manner: There value will surely dropped based on the numbers of these so-called DEFI projects are being pumped into cryptos market, taking a cursory look at the bounty section of the forum, there are many of them popping out daily, however some of the projects might survive based the bullish outlook of the market presently, meanwhile some investors are always selective in DeFi projects.
I agree that the future of the projects depends too much from the future of the cryptocurrency market. If cryptocurrency market will raise it will be much more simple to survive to many projects. People will continue to buy tokens hoping that their price will raise in future. Now many Defi projects use staking system to encourage people to hold tokens. This is obvious a fake site, do not fall for this trap, and since we heard that ETH 2.0 genesis has started, criminals are going to take advantage of this.
Yep, now with staking and ETH 2.0 coming soon this was expected. Scammers copy even shitcoin projects, let alone something as popular and known as Ethereum is. When I heard the news about ETh 2.0 the other day, I asked myself when will they start with fake sites, and here it is, and there will be much much more in the coming weeks. Worst of all, many people will fall for this, even though it looks obviously fake. Anyway, good find OP, If it stopped even one person from loosing money by sending ETH to these scammers, it was worth it.

How come that there had been tons of listed projects yet still the stereotype exists? ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) Getting listed on some exchange doesn't equal to being legit, not even when it's listed on generally trusted exchanges like Binance. That Sushiswap fail is a good example how being listed on Binance means absolutely nothing in terms of legitimacy. Same goes for other exchanges. Regarding the stereotype, since 99.99 % of current defi crap won't exist in about year or two and will crumble like a piece of paper because 100% APY per year is not sustainable in the long run (let alone much higher APY that is pretty much defi standard) I would say that stereotype about defi is there for a pretty good reason. Same thing happened with ICO back in 2017, huge majority of them are not around anymore and that's why we call it "ICO bubble" now.
