5421  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC in your country on: July 02, 2015, 03:27:43 PM
I know many people from my country who are engage with bitcoin since last 2 3 years. It is a experience with Bitcoin. In my country bitcoin have importance because too much people earn money from bitcoin Forum.
Thanks

Well if your country has many shop that accept bitcoin, you can say bitcoin is important for the country. I guess people from your country just exchange their bitcoin from its forum to fiat, and I think the important thing for the people is real money, not bitcoin.

For them change bitcoin to fiat because they still dont believe about what bitcoin can do in future, and they are using this kind of method to earn in fiat not really invest in bitcoin, but this is just a few of people that doing this kind of thing. Most of them are using bitcoin to help their financial problem but the government are still not fully support them
5422  Economy / Economics / Re: Did Bitcoin Ruin Your Life, Or Help Your Life? on: July 02, 2015, 03:24:08 PM
I have learned a lot, but it hasn't ruined or helped my life in any way...yet.

If you learned a lot from bitcoin that means it really help you with some knowledge, although it is not much but actually it help a little bit, change you perspective about something, and you can start open your eyes about all things that is happening now
5423  Economy / Economics / Re: A currency or investment? on: July 02, 2015, 03:21:33 PM
Alright. I have seen so many threads asking people to vote what they take Bitcoin as. These include currency, investment, payment and tipping etc. Now, if you can only choose between currency and investment.. What do you take Bitcoin as?

I take Bitcoin as a form of currency and investment. However, currency come first. I have never invested my money into Bitcoin. I only invested my time into Bitcoin.

I went to exchange and try to sell them at high price. Upon receiving the money from selling, I try to buy them again at lower price. This way, I can 1.2x or 1.4x my Bitcoin. And I will spend them online. I will never exchange them into USD or whatsoever currency and than withdraw them - unless I'm forced to.

What about you? Currency or investment?

Many users start with choosing it as a currency and then eventually use it as an investment. For me too, it seems like an investment obviously because it is more promising and reliable. Bitcoin is a really good investment and provides a profitable future gain.

Nope, I think many of them start because its like 'free money' to them, they can earn without doing so much things at first but now bitcoin is really give them hope to change their life so they are start on changing this to investment. Bitcoin for short term yes it is good enough, but I dont think that bitcoin as long term invesment is really good enough compare to others long term investments like gold or real estates
5424  Economy / Economics / Re: Greeks are rushing to Bitcoin on: July 02, 2015, 03:04:16 PM
I figured. Bitcoin couldn't single handedly save a doomed economy as I said in a different thread about Greece, but with their fiat pretty much at a collapse, those with a head start to Bitcoin I think will partially save their economic portfolio. I see this as an opportunity for Greeks to invest in precious metals as well.

this is not the time for them to invest in anything, they should have ionvested before in metal or bitcoiin, now all their bank account are locked, all their money are gone, who was smart enough to withdrawn before this shit happened, could still save his life, the other are only doomed

So what are you suggest? IMO they need to draw all of their investment and start to change their investment since they can't use their bank account anymore to withdraw their money. That is the only way to start earning again or may be they can start to move away from greece and find the better place to live and get some work to do
5425  Economy / Economics / Re: A currency or investment? on: July 02, 2015, 02:56:48 PM
I’m absolutely certain that in some parts of the world at the moment you could gain investment with the following business plan:
1) Create new digital currency.
2) Allocate 10% of new coins to investors.
3) Profit!

So I’m not sure that I see anything to stop a near endless invention of new digital currencies. And given that I don’t I can’t see what value most to all of them are going to end up having.

Link to complete article: http://www.forbes.com/sites/timworstall/2013/12/12/why-invest-in-bitcoin-when-you-could-invest-in-another-currency/

That is a nice article, thank you for posting. I feel the same a out how all these other crypto currencies just start their own currency, give out 10% to owners, etc and after proper moves, start gaining profit. Bitcoin is obviously strong and better, but such currencies kill the respect quotient.

Yes, but even if bitcoin might be the first crypto currency in the world, it doesn't mean that it will be the last. The only thing which keeps bitcoin ahead of others is more thorough adaptation of this currency compared to others.
Creating new altcoins is total waste of potential. Only delusional fools possessed by greed are going that way. I was fooled before by promises of new altcoins and I won't be fooled again.
All we truly need is put all resources into bitcoin and improve it - it will the best course of action. Stop Wasting time on the pump and dump trash coin.

I guess there are many people said that they get a good profit from mining altcoin here, so why now you suggest us to wasting out time there? Yes it is wasting time because you can't miss any chance of rising so I didnt understand why you ask us to left there when it still can earn you really good amount of money?

I do use Bitcoin as a currency to purchase things some times. It can be a mix of both, a currency and an investment, i guess. I have invested Bitcoin, and I have also used Bitcoin to purchase things. If Bitcoin was accepted everywhere, then I would be more than happy to use Bitcoin as mainly a currency.

Actually bitcoin be the both, I personally use bitcoin as both.

I don't think if bitcoin be a main currency, except the gov/country is collapse like Greece, they use bitcoin now as main currency.

Why we must wait goverment to collapse then use bitcoin as main currency? If the price of bitcoin is stable enough to replace fiat I guess government can't deny it again so soon or later they will change it but for now I dont think it is time for that
5426  Economy / Economics / Re: Did Bitcoin Ruin Your Life, Or Help Your Life? on: July 02, 2015, 02:51:36 PM
I guess there are no people around here saying that bitcoin ruin their life, all of them must be helped with this, plus with bitcoin we can learn many things and it can be knowledge for us too. And my answer here is bitcoin really help me until now, it never dissapointed me at once, except about the gambling things  Grin
5427  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest problem with Bitcoin on: July 02, 2015, 02:05:55 PM
my biggest problem is the lack of adoption in my country. there's no store that accept bitcoin in my city

My biggest problem is price is too low.  How to fix this?   Huh

buy ten billion USD worth of BTC. there, problem solved  Tongue

Thats why you need some good advertise in your country to make people using bitcoin and start open up a store so your problems will be solved. And how are you going to buy 10 billion USD worth of BTC, did you have that kind of money? If you have that money I dont think you would spend all in bitcoin, better do some long term investment so you will get more profit
5428  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: should i move my ''saving'' to Bitcoin? on: July 02, 2015, 01:57:03 PM
Every month I buy Bitcoin from %50 of my wage. I think it's the best saving method for long term. I don't do trade much, it's too risky for me.

Nope, trading is not risky as gambling or may be mining altcoin. I think trading is much fun to play it, because it has a lower risk than others and you can

get good  profit too from that so start on taking this as one of your income besides signature campaign or even faucet

The risk isn't lower, you're just lowering the possible gains and loses.
Say you have $1000 and the same in Bitcoin and you gamble with one and trade with the other. Playing in a casino may get you broke in a couple minutes, but you can also double the money if you're lucky. If you're a bad trader you'll need days or even weeks to go broke, but it will also take days, weeks or even months to double the investment.

Nope, lowering possible gains and loses in trading? I dont think that is a really good idea because there is no way that you will lose in bitcoin trading, it is fast or slow that you will get your profit so the risk will be minimalize from doing trading. Besides gambling is far to fast to drop your bitcoin, and I guess with today win you really need luck and do you think tomorrow you will have this kind of luck? In the end people will lose it in gambling because we never win the house, except you stop and wwithdraw it when you are winning some
5429  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's Be Honest. We Are Waiting for $100/BTC to buy on: July 02, 2015, 01:45:04 PM
If bitcoin drops to 100$, I will buy 10 more btc and then I will just sit back, relax and stay cool about how things progress ahead. I took a risk, a calculated risk and if it results in a loss, it will be my fault and no one else, i will take a hit like a man and progress ahead.

Dont you think that if one day bitcoin is drop that hard, will it have any chance to rise again? Because with that significanly drop that must be something wrong about bitcoin and people start to leave it behind that make bitcoin price that low. I just can assume it like that because there are no people that can predict about the future with bitcoin
5430  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which is the best Investment Option for Bitcoins? on: July 02, 2015, 01:26:51 PM
well altcoins isnt anynmore skills is based in information, searcht the coin ,and buy it and hold it for a while it will change daily if an active altcoin like doge and others.... doge requires small ammount but it can get a good return in short time, medium

Yes altcoin is not good for using skill to analyze it, its pure information, knowledge and luck to able to get good profit. Nope, doge isnt really good for trading nowadays because the volume compare to ltc. Litecoin the demands and the trading volume is far away from doge so it will have a chance to rise again
5431  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: July 02, 2015, 01:22:13 PM
Both

I would take both too . But if I HAD to choose one, I would  choose for gold nevertheless.  The reason is gold is safer and less riskier and the rising prices of inflation has compelled me to pick gold out of the two. Bitcoin is a great option too. But I'd rather take gold.
Gold is a good investment because the price is stable and much demand, but a very long time if you want to profit by using gold, because the price is very difficult to move, not like bitcoin

Yes it is and why gold take time to get profit because gold is a long term investment, otherwise bitcoin is a short term, so although bitcoin is faster to earn but you will have chance to get low profit too. Both of it have advantages and disadvantages, it is just your choice which one do you prefer to invest or may be you can diversify it to both of them
5432  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: July 02, 2015, 01:17:11 PM

dev of what? anyway we need p2p exchange, so exchangers cannot run away with the excuse "our cold wallet was hacked yesterday"

this is the only concern at the moment

That is true, and its a valid concern, however i think, in view of altcoins, the biggest threat is the devs running away.

There are 1000x more scam altcoins than scam exchanges, and more money is lost to scam altcoins than scam exchanges.

Pretty much the already established exchanges are staying, and can be moderately trusted.

It's the same as if your average broker runs with the money, yes they were regulated, but so what, funds are only covered up to 20.000€, the rest of it is fucked.

Its definitely about decentralization Wink

yeah altcoin dev are quite malicious, but if there is a good trusted escrow and the code is well examined, you can be sure that the coin is legit

there were many scam dev in the past with hidden premine, mostly from china, this was another reason why many prefer to invest with already good established coins, like bitcoin, litecoin, monero, and not with new coins that hold a major risk

anyway i'm not risking large amount ever, i prefer to trade small amount to rise my bitcoin stash or to keep it not falling too much, in the case i need to use it for shopping or whatever, the rest will be done by bitcoin itself, when will rise to unbelievable level
Indeed very much dev coin scam, but that function is a forum we are looking for any information you need to determine the coin is safe or not.

And a very good choice if you do not use all your money in one form of investment, because when the investment scam, we will not lose all of our bitcoin
But i think we won't put our money or coins into a scammed investment, if we used our common sense we invest in the company that not ponzi, scammed and we know that it is trustful. By doing that we won't lose any coins.
But the fact is now all investments in the internet is a Ponzi scheme, it is very difficult to find an investment that is truly real. maybe if you think there will be an investment that is real, what if the investment was suddenly bankrupt? how do you claim your money? think again

Not all investment I guess, there are some that claim there are still reall investment out there that really pay you a lot, but the  payout is really low so people wont come to it and start their investment. Nowadays people just want to get fast money without doing anything much. Btw why did you think that far? All investments sure got risk, if you dont dare to take it better dont invest on something
5433  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does martingale really works? on: July 02, 2015, 01:08:45 PM
For me martingale in luck based games would kill you in the long run but if you use martingale in sports there is a high chance that you will success

I dont think using martingale on sport betting besides dice is really useful though. Dice is faster on recover but I dont see any chance of recovering with sport betting. And it doesnt apply to you if there is really high chance on betting on sport. It is all depends on your luck too. Thats why they call it gambling

You can't decide about the importance of bitcoin in your country because you can't really know how many are there that doing bitcoin in your country, may be you know some but with people earn from this forum doesnt mean that it is really important to them. It is not for you to decide whether bitcoin is important to your country or not
5435  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: July 02, 2015, 12:55:24 PM
Find an altcoin you believe in, buy and wait mid term, then sell. You can make 10x your money this way if your intuition was right Wink

With you believe I dont think you can get good profit and you may be lose all of it, you need to search which altcoin that having a great potential after that just do some mining later you will find this as a great method to earn
you only need to learn how to "trade" altcoins and how to earn profit from altcoin market.
i personally think that "investing" in an altcoin is not a good idea, and considering the risks that it involves in comparison to the profit, i find it not worthy.

I didnt say anything about investing in altcoin. I said that doing some mining altcoin is a good thing but you need to pick a good altcoin which is really hard to do because you really need some experience or may be luck to pick some altcoin to be mined

Is there any place to buy all or many altcoins? If I want to buy a little bit of many altcoins... can I buy them in one place or do I have to go from place to place?

Yes there are many places that you can do trading altcoin, you can find it at bitrex.com or may be poloniex.com
5436  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: June 30, 2015, 04:42:44 PM
You can also invest in a coin when he not yet launched, like some people do it with NXT and are rich now.

But 95% of this coins are shit, you must look closley,
but when you pick the right coin you can make a lot of moeny.

Yes it is true, you really need to find a good coin but that is for experience people, for a newbie I guess that is no need to earn through that altcoin because it is really risky, one bad movement will make you lose all of it. Try to search and learn which coin is good is the best option for now

Is hard to find a good altcoin now days, they need to have the so called whale effect why because some of then have no purpose they are just an idea or a name base type of altcoin, some of the coins that do have a purpose either leave the altcoin scene to bitcoin since is a more serious playing field for vc investors.

Yes truly it depends on whale now but you need some to do research too which one is good for a whale to pump? I dont think whale is randomly pick one altcoin and start to pump it and later dump it again. They must have their reason why they pump some coin. So we need to find that reason that will make you can get profit from it
5437  Economy / Economics / Re: What if US Dollar Crashes? on: June 30, 2015, 04:33:21 PM
No way, dollars is very stable right now. If it does, the whole world's economy will crash in some sort.

Yes it is stable for now, but later who will know? It will crash if there are some other currency that can replace it, may be bitcoin will be nominated  Grin

Yes. 90% of the world's trade is being conducted in the USD. And also, most of the countries sell their debt to institutional investors in the form of treasury bonds, which are denominated in the US Dollar. If the US Dollar collapses, bond holders will lose some $58 trillion in government debt, as well as trillions of USD in debt which is owed by big corporations, such as Gazprom and Rosneft.

Indeed 90% or more may be, but dont you think others currencies are becoming stronger and stronger that will affect USD and this time bitcoin is going to make his movement. Do you think one day USD is going to be replaced by others(including bitcoin)?
5438  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which is the best Investment Option for Bitcoins? on: June 30, 2015, 04:30:10 PM
How about make some site about bitcoin, such as faucet or maybe a gambling site Grin
it is not a bad idea.
but faucets rely on how many visits you can get every day, and the earning from owning a faucet is not that much good considering hosting and other costs.
creating a gambling website can make you more money only if it becomes popular which is not an easy task to achieve.
Well, creating signature campaign can fix the problem Grin

too much competition in those sectors, better to try something new, you need a kill app that reward you in bitcoin, it would be ideal both from investors and for bitcoin itself

I guess if his site can give competitive result I guess many people will start play in his site. Btw there are moneypot that will help newbie site, to help the fund and everything, you just need to submit your site to them and start collaborate  Grin

I can think of few things to invest your coins but my best pick would be trading. Cloudmining is not an option here as it is just way too risky. Maybe you can go buy profitable sites on flippa or something. Or invest in a project that's with a good ROI and good plans, guaranteed long term if you're up to that kind of investment. As for me, I'm fine with trading on ecoin.eu but whatever suits you best.

Isn't trading just as risky though? For the little gains to be made it doesn't seem worth the hassle and keeping coins on an exchange is always risky in itself.

Trading is also risky but you can set on which number you want to sell or buy it, and it is safer compare to others like cloudmining that we dont know the background or who are in charge of it that makes cloudmining have a really high chance to  run away with investor money

5440  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: should i move my ''saving'' to Bitcoin? on: June 30, 2015, 04:15:52 PM
I think bitcoin is safest investment as i am also holding some of my coins as a future investment, i believe in that the price will go high again in near future 5 years is so long period and much hard to predict the exact price of bitcoin but in next year the price can be more than double as the current.
bitcoin is far from being the safest investment. there are so many other thing to invest in that are far safer than bitcoin.
by safest investment i think you mean it has the highest profit or at least it has the potential to give you a nice big profit.

but their return is not great, one should assess the investment, not only with the risk, but also with the return that they will provide, so bitcoin although it is more risky, it offer greater potentially than many other asset
i agree, but there are other investments that can give you nice profits too with lower risks.
for example stock market is always an option, although it has high risks too but there are good opportunities that one can use for a nice profit.
or in my country you absolutely will never lose if you invest in real estate and in many cases you can gain twice your investment in short term.

Yes stock market is good but you need a lot of capital to get a good profit, without good capital you wont get much although the price is rising like crazy. I assume that your country is a developing country, thats why you saying that invest in real estate is great. I guess for now compare to other investment bitcoin is good enough except for gold because of its stable price
