5441  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: December 07, 2019, 09:55:00 PM
At this point it'll still be foolish to believe city can still win the league, any of such hopes have been crushed after todays loss, city look a complete shadow of themselves and from their performance today, they'll not close in on Liverpool, but will fall further behind, city must improve or face the possibility of ending the league trailing Liverpool with more than 20 points.

Pep Guardiola must now prioritise another tournament, maybe the Uefa champions league and Fa cup or the carabao cup, because with the quality of players the club affords him, he cannot go trophyless, and for now the Epl definitely has slipped out of their reach.
5442  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to use quote? on: December 07, 2019, 03:26:34 PM
2. If I want to give reply on any specific post then I just quote the specific part. I don not quote full reply as well.
I just quoted this part of your post to serve as an example, imagine if I had quoted your entire post, just to emphasize the point above, it would be difficult to understand and no user would enjoy reading it.

People who abuse quotes must take note that if the want to reply to an OP(thread), but do not have a particular or specific point in the OP that they wish to communicate on, then they should just go ahead and write it out without quoting, and if its a reply to OP that they want to quote, but do not have any specific part they want to underscore, then they can clear out the whole post and represent it with anything like: snip, < >, etc.
5443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DigiByte CEO, can you just shut the hell up and mind your own business? on: December 07, 2019, 09:55:46 AM
Poloneix shouldn't really have taken that action due to criticisms, the crypto world is full of criticism, so many individuals have criticized even the bitcoin, calling it a bubble, claiming it would crash in no time and so many other fake prophecies which have all proven to be fallacious. Criticisms are part of this modern world and organizations and company's must learn to deal with it.

Exchanges have their downsides, mostly centralized exchanges, but it's users just have to be careful with them, in the way they give out their information due to KYC requirements, and other things as well, but contrary to what Jared said, i do not believe Exchanges are on borrowed time in the crypto market, they are very essential and are here to stay.
5444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Consider All Altcoins Bad on: December 07, 2019, 06:32:02 AM
Even if the altcoins are not on the top ranks some are still performing well and many traders made money with them.
From the current altcoin market situation, this happened only in the past, I am also part of the traders who made money then through investing in altcoins, but I'm also one of them who has quit investing in altcoins for now.

Whether users agree that altcoins are bad or not, the truth is obvious, good altcoin projects are very difficult to find, they can surface and be all attractive, with seeming good intentions for the blockchain technology and the crypto world, but for the past one year now, they have all failed, crashed, scammed, made exit and done many things wrong. That's the reason for the tag that all altcoins are bad, and I wouldn't blame anyone who totally believes in that.

5446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Frozing Funds from Hacked Exchanges on: December 06, 2019, 01:39:54 PM
The first form of defense would be not to store coins on an exchange, do not take an exchange as a wallet, they can be hacked at the moment you least expected and lost funds are almost impossible to recover.

Other exchanges should also join in and practice this, freezing funds of exchanges that have just been hacked could stop the hackers from immediately trading the stolen funds on other exchanges, but the truth still remains that after such funds have been frozen, there is no chance the funds can get back to the original owner, that takes us back to what I said earlier about never storing coins on exchanges.

Learn from you! English is also an obstacle for me. I also hope that I can learn about blockchain and cryptocurrency and improve my English at the same time.
Learning about blockchain and cryptocurrency would not help to improve your English, you do not even need to know how to speak English to learn about them, the thing is, the language is needed to communicate on the forum, and if you intend to learn about cryptocurrency on the forum, you'll need to be at least a little bit good in English, so you'll understand what other users post and you'll be able to post your own observations, knowledge and contributions.

Do not also depend only on the forum to improve your English, try taking English lessons online, as well as reading numerous books, this will aid you alot.
5448  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: All goals are attainable, Way to be Hero Member and Legendary. on: December 03, 2019, 04:46:20 PM
PM me after the 18th and ill give you more bud.
Just be careful that the more you post such offers the more newbies are going to PM spam you for merits.
I am very sure many merit sources/high ranked users have disabled newbies from sending them PM's, otherwise with or without such offers as this they'll still spam merit sources inbox, begging for merits.
And I believe Tman would keep track of the users he'll be expecting PM's from regarding merits when be actually gets refilled of Smerits.
5449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: December 03, 2019, 03:41:05 PM
This isn't karma whatsoever but rather poor management of the teams especially from the higher hierarchy of the two clubs. Since the two clubs lost a manager who has been there for a very long time, it will take a while for them to restructure and get back to winning ways.
Manchester united no longer seem to be suffering from a great managerial loss(Ferguson), so many seasons have come and gone since the departure of Fergie and Manchester United as it stands gets worse every season, not to talk of how many managers have tried to put things right, but failed, at this juncture I'll blame the board, those at the hierarchy, maybe they aren't buying the right players or are not giving the right coach the job.

Arsenal may follow in United's footsteps, even though wengers reign may not have been as successful as Fergie's, but at least there was stability in the Arsenal team, moving on from Unai's Sacking, we'll see if Arsenal are able to get it right once and for all or not.
5450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: IDAX Crypto Exchange Confirms CEO Dissappearance with Cold Wallet Keys on: November 30, 2019, 07:38:36 AM
It may be an exit scam, there is no way the CEO can just go into oblivion that way with the wallet keys of customers, as long as the CEO is alive and not dead, he can definitely be traced. This Chinese exchange seems to want to shut down due to china's hostile attitude to everything about cryptocurrency, I think they are choosing to use this method to do so(exit scam).

The customers of that exchange need to be patient for now, and cease any operation on the exchange. Anything can happen to exchanges, store your coins in a hardware wallet, not on volatile exchanges.

Guest who's back here! Paul Pogba back to Carrington training ground. Derby manchester with pogba? Hmm, I think is a good benefit for manchester united.
There is still about a week before the derby, for now we'll see if Solskjaer would play Paul Pogba against Aston Villa today, it would be a tough game for united no doubt, they hardly have easy games this days with their poor form

Pogba is a classy player, but must improve, I know the whole transfer business of him moving here or there is and can be a distraction, but for now he is a United player, and should play at a high standard when called upon, I'll see if he'll get some minutes against villa today, then we'll know if he is ready or not for the derby.
5452  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't ask for a loans without collateral if you are new. on: November 29, 2019, 10:17:32 PM
It would be virtually impossible for any user to give a newbie account a no collateral loan, the account is worth nothing and if the user doesn't pay back, a newbie account is as good as useless, so tagging or flagging it wouldn't make much of a difference.

Most times those sort of loans(no collateral)are mostly given to ranks from full members and above, with the merit requirements and all that, it's not easy to attain those ranks, so many users wouldn't want to ruin it by not paying back such loans, even though they are with no collateral, because it will get their accounts flagged. But for a newbie you can get loans from many sources around your area in real life.'
5453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: November 29, 2019, 08:17:49 PM
I don't think Pochettino will accept an offer from Arsenal Management (if he is offered to be an Arsenal manager). I'm sure because he seems to still respect Tottenham fans, we all know that Arsenal and Tottenham are rivals because both clubs are from the same city.
I think pochettino would accept the Arsenal job, yeah you get that feeling that due the fact that Arsenal are a North London club and also arch rivals to spurs, poch may want to show some respect to the fans, but this is the job and he must have gotten over his allegiance to the Spurs faithful, and also you have to consider that he was sacked after giving his best to improve the team. He is currently in need of a job, and if Arsenal come for him, I don't see reasons why he should refuse them.

5454  Other / Meta / Re: Getting Closer to the 1000 merit requirement for Legendary! on: November 29, 2019, 01:12:35 PM
Congratulations in advance squatz, you comment in almost all the good threads in the politics and society section, and have created a good reputation, as well as contributed to the growth of that board and that's a wonderful feat, you deserve nothing more than to get to legendary rank and you will definitely do so, just time hinderance.

5455  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Type of crypto school on: November 29, 2019, 10:43:39 AM
I am not in support of the motion that there should be a school just for the purpose of learning cryptocurrency or the blockchain technology alone, it may not be sufficient as the only acquired skill an individual should have, but bringing it into the syllabus of schools in order for it to be taught as a subject/course along with other subjects would be great and would be a wonderful inclusion.

Also people with more indept knowledge can also organize per time lectures/seminars/symposiums to educate people(in their area)on what the bitcoin and the blockchain technology is. Understanding a lot about cryptocurrency can help our burgeoning population in future times.
Don't also forget that this forum performs almost all these learning purposes you seek.
5456  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You need to seek for answers yourself on: November 29, 2019, 05:06:05 AM
I have seen a similar topic like this in the Altcoin section, newbies should not only go to the scam accusation board to check if the project they are planning on investing in has been reported or tagged, that's just one percent of the work to be done, TBH the scam projects are even more than the legitimate ones, which makes the work to be done even more difficult.

If you can do without investing in ICO's, then the best advice is, don't invest at all, but if you enjoy the risk of trying to choose one good project, when 99% of them are scam, then it's your call.
5457  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: FUDsters become active when the price goes down - learn to spot them on: November 29, 2019, 04:29:20 AM
This fudsters are majorly in the bitcoin discussion, they are always on time during any bearish period to spread fake news, with fake charts to try and back up their panic statements. I wonder how many times this fudsters have predicted total collapse for bitcoin, and they still continue to do so, it is the new users who can be deceived by all this false news and that is why they need to be educated and warned to ignore topics that spread panic purposely.
Why do we have to care about China-related news?  Huh
I do not know why users are worried about what China does or doesn't, they have refused to accept bitcoin, and whenever there is a bear period, fudsters start connecting it to that, this trolls are just all about spreading rumors.

5458  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: From Member rank to Senior Member on: November 28, 2019, 07:36:00 AM
You have been on the forum for a long period(2017) but it seems you've been inactive at some point, based on your posts and activities(277).
It's much better and shows the forum is making progress, seeing threads of ranked up users, than complaints of lack of merits, I think that was the trend some months back.

Congratulations on your new rank and nice art work you did in the art contest, I just checked your work out, theymos came up with a beautiful idea, it gave users opportunities to showcase their talents, to earn merits, rank up and also earn BTC.
5459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: November 28, 2019, 05:30:54 AM
The final group games would be interesting in some groups, especially group F and group H. Dortmund would be hoping Barcelona does them a favor and beat inter, but with Barcelona already through to the next round and their poor form away, I don't know how possible that's going to be, I knew that group would be this close. In group H, nothing is settled yet, Chelsea must beat Lille and maybe hope for a draw in the other match, that way they'll finish second, Ajax on the other hand must beat Valencia to qualify, while Valencia need just a draw, it's intriguing.

This surely is one very interesting champions league group stage, teams are hanging in there and it was only business as usual in very few groups, we're going down to the last day in the others.
5460  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Almost there (Hero Member) hoping to reach it before 2020 starts. on: November 28, 2019, 04:32:58 AM
This your thread has actually done good to your chances of reaching hero member before the end of the year, and even if you don't, you'll be very close to it surely.

I think users trying to rank up sometimes needs the big boosts of merits(at least above 10), receiving one or two merits would take you a very long time to rank up, and for those who cannot make either threads based on one statistics or the other(eg merits), or those threads that receive merits the most, their journey becomes longer, but the most important thing is the effort to rank up, to help the community, to contribute in your own way, users with this qualities would rank up.
