Even though PSG got a draw against Nice in Parc des Princes by 0-0 yesterday, they are still more than 10 points ahead of the team at the second position which are Marseille now. I think that Rennes' loss to Lille was quite surprising. It was a home game for Rennes and they had a perfect form in the recent times. They weren't getting any loss for 9 weeks. But Lille put an end to their great unbeaten streak by defeating them by 2-1. And Lille ended their winless streak of 6 games too thanks to this victory.

A very tough game is waiting for especially Dortmund in the game against Bayern Munich in two days. Finally the der Klassiker is here and Bayern Munich are being favoured quite highly for this game. The reason why is of course that Dortmund couldn't defeat Bayern Munich in their last 5 head-to-head games in the Bundesliga. Their last win was on November 10, 2018 by 3-2. I have no doubt that both teams will score a goal or goals. But it is very difficult to be able to predict the probable winner this time as both teams are superb now. But if I placed a bet on a team to win, I would still prefer Bayern Munich.

Milwaukee Bucks played home against Charlotte Hornets last night and it was a game consisting high competition. Hornets showed a spectacular performance in the 1st quarter and ended it 41-25 ahead. But Bucks had no intention to back down of course and made up for this by showing an extra performance in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. And the 4th quarter was incredibly close that the quarter score was 30-30. But Milwaukee succeeded in defeating Hornets by a very close score like 127-125. And by this win, they have made their win streak 8 games. Giannis showed an incredible performance that he got 40 pts, 12 reb and 9 ast. It was a close call for a triple-double. Lamela Ball's superb performance of 36 pts, 5 reb, 9 ast wasn't enough for winning but I still appreciate the effort of each team very much.

Barcelona should have finished the job in the game against Benfica in Camp Nou. If they won that, they would have guaranteed qualifying for the next round of the Champions League and would have played comfortable in their last game. But the Benfica game ended up with a draw by 0-0 and Barcelona made their job much difficult. And they are very unlucky that they're going to play against Bayern Munich in Allianz Arena in their last game. And they have no choice rather than winning. Because Benfica would be able to defeat D. Kyiv easily I guess. And the Bayern Munich I've known so far still wouldn't be okay to a loss even though they have won all of their five games in the group.

Trabzonspor are in a great situation in the Super League now and their next opponent seems like Adana Demirspor. Trabzonspor have a win streak of seven games now and they can make it eight games by this one. Because I don't think that Adana Demirspor can resist them much. I remember that Adana Demirspor eliminated Trabzonspor in the Turkish Cup last season. Trabzonspor would like to revenge on that game and they have a big chance to win thanks to their superb performance.

QPR's rise in the standings has drawn my attention a great deal considering the last weeks. The teams at the top (Fulham and Bournemouth) have been getting unsatisfying results for some time. And QPR benefited from this very good so far. QPR won 4 of their last 5 games and didn't lose the remaining one too. As we know, the first two teams in the league table promote to the Premier League directly. And QPR decreased the point gap with the second team Bournemouth to 7 and with the leader to 8 points. We will see if they will be able to keep this up.

The high level of competition for the league title is still continuing among Porto, Sporting and Benfica now. Porto and Sporting are sharing the points (32) but Porto are the leader. Porto - Sporting game ended in a 1-1 draw but Porto have a bigger goal average now. And Benfica are following them from only 1 point behind. They have a gap of at least 10 points with their closest competitor in the league table now. But it is normal of course as there are not many big clubs in the league. I wonder whether Sporting will win the title two times in a row or a different team will be the champions.

Considering the last 5 weeks especially, the best performing teams have been PSG, Rennes and Brest. PSG are performing as usual of course and there is not much to say about them. They are just dominating the league.  But the interesting part is about Rennes and Brest. Rennes have been really great for a long time and they have moved up to the 2nd place thanks to their high level of performance. They didn't lose in their last 5 games and won 4 of them. As for Brest, they are also awesome. they have the same form with Rennes now and this helped them move to the 12th place from bad places. It is great to watch both of these teams like this. |

Miami Heat - Denver Nuggets game was a really nice one last night. Miami were the team that started the best to the new season. But lately, they started having a little more inconsistent form. They lost to Nuggets last night by 111-120. And if we check Miami's last five games, they got a lose and a win respectively. And it was a very valuable victory for Nuggest as they won a game after 6 weeks finally. Adebayo and Jokic competed with each other really nicely. Adebayo got 24 pts, 13 reb and 6 ast. And Jokic got 24 pts, 15 reb, 7 ast. By the way, I would like to praise K. Lowry's performance also as he got 17 pts and 14 reb, a double-double.

The high competition level is still continuing in the group C now. We have only one week left to go but all of the teams in the group have a chance to continue in the Europa League now. Because there is only a gap of two points between the first and the last team of the group (Leicester - 8 pts, Legia - 6 pts). And the last games are like this:
Napoli - Leicester
Legia - Spartak Moscow
The first one is going to be really tough. And actually, both of them should be quite tough even though Legia have a 3-loss streak. Napoli - Leicester game is a candidate for a draw game. In their previous group game, Napoli barely made a comeback from 0-2 and got a 2-2 draw. Maybe we could see a similar scenario again and a draw at the end. When it comes to the other game, Spartak Moscow obtained a very valuable victory against Napoli the last time. They have a bigger morale than Legia. I would like to indicate one thing also that Legia defeated Spartak Moscow 1-0 away before. They may do it again.

Los Angeles Lakers played home against Detroit Pistons this time and this was their second game against each other in only one week. The first two quarters were quite competitive though. But Lakers were much better in the third quarter and earned a good advantage before the last quarter. And in the last quarter, I really appreciated Pistons' big effort to make a comeback. But it was still not enough and Lakers defeated them again by 110-106. J. Grant and Lebron James were in a big competition for being the most scorer of the game and Lebron won it. He scored 33 points while J. Grant was scoring 32. |

What a great performance by Napoli last night! Honestly, I wasn't in an expectation like they would win the game vs Lazio easily. Moreover, I was expecting Lazio to make them big difficulties after the shocking loss vs Juventus in their home game. But Napoli just finished Lazio in the first half already by bringing the score to 3-0. After this, Lazio completely gave up on the game and Napoli won by 4-0. Lazio didn't have even single shot in the second half. It was a terrible night for them and they will definitely want to forget about it as quick as possible.

His contract is going to expire this summer and he is going to be a free agent. I think that he made a big mistake by coming to Barcelona in the first place. His performance level has come down too much since he joined Barcelona. He was performing much better at Dortmund. And maybe we could see him going back to Dortmund again. And it would be really nice I guess.

Fortunately, Dortmund managed to beat Wolfsburg in a tough away game. I was afraid of the chance that Wolfsburg would have even beaten them. Dortmund played with so many absent players. But I really didn't know that Haaland was going to be in the subs. After seeing it, I started waiting for the time he would enter. And before his coming in, Dortmund were already 2-1 ahead. He came in the game in the 73rd minute and scored the relieving goal for Dortmund in the 81st minute. He is just a marvelous striker.  |

It is down to only two races for the end of the season. I'm just looking forward to watching these two races in Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates. And it is wonderful to have these two races in two weeks consecutively. I wish that this marathon started this weekend but I'll learn to be patient. The current point gap between the leader Verstappen and the second Hamilton is only 8. There is even a probability for these two drivers entering the last race by the same points. Even though I really want to see a new champion, I hope that Verstappen doesn't guarantee his title in the Saudi Arabia GP and we can enjoy the last race with a big rate of excitement. |

I'm looking forward to watching the Villarreal vs Barcelona game tonight. There are some important players missing for the Barcelona team like Aguero, Braithwaite, Fati, Pedri and S. Roberto. And it seems like Villarreal are going to have their full lineup without anyone being absent. Barcelona are looking for a way out of their poor condition so far. And Xavi's coming to the team can help them hopefully. They won their first ever La Liga game with Xavi against Espanyol last week. It is time to make it a two-game winning streak. Villarreal are a really hard team to beat in their home games in the league. But maybe the dramatic loss vs Manchester United in the Champions League can cause their morale to drop. And it is up to Barcelona players and Xavi to benefit from this opportunity.

Juventus vs Atalanta is the biggest game today. We are going to watch two strong teams and both of their recent form lately in the Serie A have been satisfying. Maybe Juventus' form is worse considering the last five Serie A games but they have been the winner for two weeks. In this quite competitive game, I'll be seeing Juventus one step ahead of Atalanta. They are likely to win this game with a one-goal difference I think. And I'm feeling myself closer to goal(s) from each side.
