Oh come on, Poland goes through after today's performance? They were horrible throughout the whole 90 minutes.
It is a shame that fair play can be the deciding factor in such situations, it pushed Mexico to go all in and concede that late goal.
Otherwise Poland would still go through, but only because they received less yellow cards than Mexico.
I recall that happening only once, last WC when Japan qualified based on that criteria ahead of Senegal.
This was totally undeserved for Poland, they never even thought to try and score a goal against Argentina, they can thank only Szczesny for their place in knockout stages. Saved a couple of almost certain goals and kept their goal difference good enough to push Mexico into overextending. While we are on Szczesny saves, he even saved a penalty by Messi and I must admit this was one of the strangest penalties I have ever seen awarded. I agree,Argentina played with just football with one port and the only occasion Poland had was that header from the veteran player they had still playing in the national team,other than that they just totally parked the bus and this is a stupid thing to do against teams like Argentina.I think the hero of the game was their goalkeeper who gave them this truly undeserved qualification as Mexico showed much better game play and they scored the most magnificent goal so far of the whole tournament with that awesome free kick. I wouldn't say it was undeserved for Poland to qualify for the next round simply because they didn't do well enough to posed just one goal threat against Argentina and it seemed they literally all out to only secure a draw, Mexico were not a different when they played Argentina as well, they literally just sat back too and tried to secure a draw which would have left Argentina in dire situation, I'd rather commend the Saudi Arabian team even though they lost the last two matches of the game, I'd say they were the only team of the other 3 besides Argentina to have a approached every game with the hope of getting something positive from it. If the cases were reversed and it was Mexico playing Argentina last night, I strongly doubt they'd have done any better than Poland actually did, so If the game was unfair to any of the four teams, I'd say it was Saudi Arabia that got unlucky. I agree about Saudi Arabia,their coach though which went viral with that motivation video after they were losing 1-0 to Argentina in the first game and after that speech they came in and overturn the situation in their favor 1-2,I must say their coach changed their mentality for the better.While they were always feeling inferior to any team they played in the World Cup they got and won against one of the strong contender for the title.I must say that the most unlucky game they had is exactly against Poland where they missed a penalty which could have changed the fate of that game. |

I would rate it really good considering that yesterday night in the Argentina game we would not have a penalty for them without VAR,many people maybe do not agree with that penalty but it was a clear penalty to me as the goalkeeper of Poland clearly hit Messi face and that for me is a foul.I think in many other occasions VAR has given penalties that otherwise would not have been given so overall until now I am liking VAR and before the World Cup started I did not expect to see such performance from the VAR,I was not expecting to be that good but this is just what I think.

It depends on what meaning to invest in the word "works". If it's about making a profit (as most people mean when they talk about gambling strategies) then money management doesn't work. What a mega idiot im, im i so much competitions that i forget to put the picks in this one for the first two matchs of today. I was in the kitchen eating and seeing the games and my brain says "do you put the picks in Superbru?", and was.... fuck. So i go to the pc and put all my selections. To be honest i would put Ecuador 1 Senegal 1 so i cant lie i dont lose any point  . Im really back now in the pool, i need a boost. I did the same, missed the 1st game of the 2nd round and the first 2 games of the 3rd round. I was given default picks though - but they didn't do me much good. Currently I'm 25th - which I'm not too happy with  I also did the same but not forgetting to put my picks but choosing a draw 1-1 for Ecuador as the most logical result only to be surprised by the thousand time that the most logical result in a football game rarely happens yet I do not seem to learn my lesson. So big congratulations to Senegal,the first African team to make it further,I was not at all expecting such a bad play from Ecuador and Senegal took full advantage of their penalty and kept playing really well and got a well deserved qualifier.I think now the big event of tonight is without a doubt Iran vs USA and not only in sport level but also in political level,the bookies are heavily favoring the USA but I don't know what to expect from this game,I doubt Iran will surrender that easy as they are also in for a further qualification if they manage to get a draw at least against USA.

Uruguay have really surprised me, I thought they’d be much, much better. There is a lot of history in the Ghana vs Uruguay games. Remember the Suarez handball on the line, the penalty was missed & Uruguay won on penalties. I think the Ghanaian squad will be motivated to put that right.
Regardless though, if Uruguay can advance to the round of 16, they won’t be going much further.
I would be extremely surprised if Uruguay go past the group stages judging by the two games they have played.In the first one especially against Korea if I remember correctly they ended it without a true dangerous shot on goal and that for me says a lot.Ghana in the two games they have played they put their spirit into it by giving 100% of their capability and if they do the same in the last game against Uruguay I think they will qualify further and for me this will be a much deserved qualification for the African team. |

FIFA got the right decision to play the games of each delicate group that are taking place today in the same hour as this leaves no rooms for "cheating" or letting a surprise result happen,as long as each team does not know how the other game is going they are sure to give their 100% of condition in the field.When they know before playing what has happened in the other game if the games were on different time then this would be something bad for the tournament.
The only bet I am going to place today is a double with Netherlands win and England to win,I think the total odd is about near 1.8 so a nice one to get what I call some free money as I believe this to be the case in these games.
