5441  Economy / Economics / Re: Cashless Economy: Is Society ready for transformation? on: September 16, 2020, 01:58:51 PM
The readiness of a certain country to adapt into shifting from the traditional way of doing payments which is using paper money going to cashless which is on digital manner depends upon the capacity of the country which relies on the advancement of technology they have and if the people is willing to use cashless instead of paper money. Here in my country we are both using cashless and paper money depending upon the need and the capacity of the certain individual to acquire the service. Going cashless is a pretty good idea specially we are trying it at this stage where pandemic is present and the usage of transacting through cashless mode of payment is advisable if you have the capacity to access the service. But for other people who still patronize using paper money, it is their own pick of choice so we just need to respect it.

I think technology is one thing to take into consideration when doing a switch into a cashless economy. But for a hole society to really stop using cash we also need to work on the abilities of elderly people to learn new things. The understanding of the Internet and digigil payment on particular is not really their for my grand parents. Even my parents are struggling to do online banking. They just prefer the human contact with bank personal, and want to get their money in physical form. Without a physical wallet most of the elderly people would feel naked.
5442  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which coffee better? on: September 16, 2020, 01:52:35 PM
I drink Green Coffee because the review of human studies did show that green coffee extract may have the potential to help with weight loss.

Oh I didn't know that, I need to try this one. Usually I just buy a coffee brand that is in sale, I don't pay much attention to a survival type or company when buying coffee. This is probably due to the lack of coffee culture in my country. We have many people who just buy instant coffee and milk. Not really delicious.
5443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is It The Best Time to Sell Ethereum (ETH) on: September 16, 2020, 07:26:57 AM
Actually I am really at crossroads too. On one hand I think that the ethereum has a major community and it will innovate much more but on the other hand there are promising projects like polkadot which will.solve scalability issues.

Same for me here, I wouldn't actually sell ETH because I think it's a bad investment, only to free up money for other investment. My crypto portfolio is diveded into bitcoins and alt coins. My bitcoin holdings I rarely sell because I need it for gambling and betting. And my alt coin portfolio I try to move around the holdings if I find a new project to invest in. But I think I will keep my ETH for a little longer before realising any gains.
5444  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump has declared that he’ll ban Tiktok over privacy concerns!!! on: September 16, 2020, 07:07:36 AM

Almost forgot we had a thread about this on here. Crazy the amount of news stories that we go through in the span of a month.

But Oracle is the one that was picked, Kushner has said the deal is currently being reviewed by the US. It seems like this deal isn't going to check off all of the boxes that Trump set up, because ByteDance doesn't want to give up control of the company.

Oracle (if approved) will be a trusted partner that'll (probably) host all of the US data and ensure that it isn't being given to ByteDance in anyway.

So yeah, here are some sources on that:

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-china-bytedance-tiktok-oracle-whiteho/white-houses-kushner-says-oracles-tiktok-deal-being-reviewed-idUSKBN2661WW

This is great news, finally something happening against this data storage of Chinese companies. Will this only affect American accounts or all of North America? And what about Europe? We are having the same issues over here. I wish European politicians would have a stricter approach towards Chinese companies.
5445  Economy / Economics / Re: 2020 Money is king Again Good news on: September 16, 2020, 06:41:52 AM
I agree with the statement Money is king, you can't do anything without money! If you wish to have a normal life you need to have
money to pay for all the comfort. Money pays bills, with money you eat, and for everything you plan to do you will need money.
Money buys and pays for stuff, but you need to be satisfied with what you have, and if you wish more to work for that without
stressing too much, if you lose health to make money that's not a good deal.

I agree with you that money is important for everyone of us, but the only problem I see is that money is not generating any income on it's own. You need to invest it, gamble or bet with or just loan it someone. Money on its own in a bank account or as cash at home will lose it's purchasing power over time due to inflation. As good investors as most of the people on this forum are, we all put our FIAT money into crypto currencies so we are not as hard hit by inflation as in our own country. Also the chances to make a return with cryptos is much higher than just holding cash.
5446  Other / Off-topic / Re: 5,400,000 people bitten by snakes every year on: September 16, 2020, 06:38:10 AM
Humans kills more animals than animals killing human every year, and we have the treatment for almost every kind of snake bite so its the people's ignorance causing them to die.

I am terrified of poisonous sankes myself. I know they usually avoid humans and will try to stay hiden, but encounters still be deadly. It all depends if you can make it in time to the next hospital or clinic with the correct antidote. Imagine being in the jungle in South America, or in the Outback of Australia and get bitten by a snake. The next hospital might be hundreds of kilometers away. Another problem might be to identify the correct snake that bit you, if you couldn't really see it there might be some test to be done first before the doctor can give you the antidote, costing more valuable time. We shouldn't be joking around snakes.
5447  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin dont pay our billls we need passive income on: September 15, 2020, 04:50:40 PM
btc is not good to pay our bills.,

we need new way of passive income goverments should start giving out universal income Smiley there is need for passive income

who will vote for that?=

I don't think this is sustainable for a government to giver out universal income for everyone. Most country have already some form of unemployment insurance which helps to cover cost until you find a new job. But for the government to pay all your bills continuously seems like a hoax to me. If a political party would over such a program, it seems to me such a move would fake news and they only want to get to power.
5448  Economy / Economics / Re: MicroStrategy Buys $250M in Bitcoin, Calling the Crypto ‘Superior to Cash’ on: September 15, 2020, 03:38:24 PM
This was faster (and bigger) than expected!

https://twitter.com/michael_saylor/status/1305850568531947520?s=20

They now own more than 2% of the total bitcoin in circulation. This is massive.

Wow this is really massive, no wonder bitcoin price is picking back up again.

Great news to see more institutional investors getting into crypto market. I still believe there is a lot of upside potential for bitcoins. I wouldn't sell my coins right now to investors. Better to just hold them.
5449  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you Find Cats annoying? (Almost killed mine) on: September 15, 2020, 02:48:09 PM
Cats are alright, a friend of mine has 3 indoor cats which is getting a little bit annoying because we always to watch that they are not going outside. My family always had dogs, so if I ever get a pet one day it will probably also be a dog. They are higher maintenance but force you to go outside everyday.
5450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker Worthwhile freerolls and low stakes high prize on: September 15, 2020, 02:46:11 PM

This is why I like KO bounties. I played one last night on Poker Stars at least you can earn something early on.

*edit*
Yes I had most success in 25/50 "cash" tables. Good place to work up my entry fees and stuff

KO Bounties are great because you can make some decent money during the tournament already. I cashed out on pokerstars a few month back, so I only got $5 on their. Will try today in the evening again the Twitch Freeroll tournament. I need some bankroll first again to go back into cash games. Overall I also prefer cash games to tournaments because you can just leave the table when you get tired and your concentration drops.

I had a smaller bike accident last week so need to take it slow this week, which is good for playing some poker tournaments from the couch with the tablet. Will be playing some SWC and Pokerstars freerolls.

Anyone going to join this week?
5451  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why aren't there many women in the crypto space? on: September 14, 2020, 08:25:30 PM
I think it is because women are very strategic in nature. They take their time and study in and out of everything.
The funny thing is that there are alot of female traders but WOMEN don't make noise

I think we see not so many woman in the crypto community because they are just not so interested. It's very similar to IT studies at university, most of the students are men, just because find it more attractive to work with computers and Internet on a daily basis. For woman is it more important to have daily interactions with other people than just to work at a computer all day.
5452  Economy / Economics / Re: Real estate vs. Bitcoin on: September 14, 2020, 08:53:01 AM
Talking of real estate is competently depends on where are you actually live and your government policies regarding to the real estate. In some countries the government will take people a huge amount of tax for holding any kind of real estate other than their own home. If you don't have such tax problems in your country, buying real estate, maybe an apartment and renting it can be pretty good. In the other side of story, you will need much more money to invest on real estate and government can always track all your funds.

The amount of research needed to be done to make a real estate deal is much higher than investing in cryptos. You are right that there are so many different aspects to be considered when buying property. One alternative could be to invest in real estate funds that invest in a broad area of properties. But personally I would recommend going for bitcoins. Interest rates have been on the low levels for the last 10 years which made loans very cheap and housing affordable for a lot people. Prices are very high right now.
5453  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you betting online ? on: September 14, 2020, 08:17:57 AM
In terms of betting I mostly bet on football games and some e sports games. Most of the big poker companies are also teamed up with bookmakers for sports bet. So I can just take my poker winnings and use it on sports bet without the need to cash out or something. I don't follow the football market so closely anymore as I used top. During my university time I was betting a lot with friends but now I just focus on 2-3 teams and only bet if I am very certain they actually win.
5454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it getting late to buy crypto again? on: September 14, 2020, 08:13:09 AM
For me it is never too late to buy crypto, especially to buy Bitcoin. If you look at the price development in the market,
which is currently almost all coins have price corrections, then don't hesitate to buy crypto right now. Bitcoin price currently
stands at $ 10,300,great time to buy Bitcoin. Because based on my prediction Bitcoin in the near future will increase in price.

Long term crypto currencies will rise so there is always chances to make money with coins. The recent backdrop in bitcoins can be a good timing to go back into crypto. But best not to put all your eggs into one basket. I believe diversification is key to a good portfolio. I would recommend to buy some alt coins top at the moment together with bitcoins.
5455  Other / Politics & Society / Re: It's time for EUROPE to become SOCIALIST on: September 14, 2020, 08:08:53 AM
You can also pretend as if every socialist country hasn't turned into a dystopian hell hole. Socialism is a pure economic system that ceases private enterprise and turns over all means of production to the government with communal ownership. It is impossible to have private enterprise in a socialist nation and the U.S. has all sorts of private entities, so no, not socialist at all.
I'm not promoting socialism. I am the furthest thing away from socialism.
I oppose socialism. This is why I am telling you the USA has strong socialist elements and becoming more socialist increasingly over the years.

And a free market can not be regulated. Else it's no longer a free market.
Government will always point to problems real or percieved within a certain area of life, than claim that they must interveed or else the bogeyman will get us all.

I am with you on this one socialism is not the answer to all our economic problems. We have seen many countries in the past trying socialism and fail. Its just no long term solution because it will make a country and its economy less competitive in the long run. Which doesn't mean that all form of socialism is bad. Having a universal unemployment insurance or health insurance or retirement plans is a hood thing for a country. We need to balance socialism with capitalism.
5456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there any truly safe bets in sports betting? on: September 14, 2020, 08:03:10 AM
Unfortunately there are no 100% safe bets in sports. Only if the matches where fixed we could say this but than it's illegal and all the winnings would be void. The problem with sports is that every athele can have a bad day, we are all humans and make mistakes. There are games with a very high winning chance, for example if a top tier team plays a match against some regional teams. But in those kind of matches the odds are very poor. You might make only 0.1% return.
5457  Economy / Economics / Re: What brings economy of a country down. on: September 14, 2020, 07:38:33 AM
I think the worse thing that could happen to a country would be for the exports to stop. If there is no fresh money coming in from the outside, this will bring the economy down very fast. The second worse thing to happen to a country we saw during corona, when the hole country is on lock down. If spending stops overnight in almost all sectors the economy is doomed without help from the government. If the government doesn't step it fast and helps our failling companies we will see mass unemployment which just making everything worse. It's a downward sprial taking the hole eonomy down.
5458  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's the longest shift you've ever worked? on: September 14, 2020, 07:28:40 AM
The longest shift I worked was almost 38 hours. I started very early one day, had to work all through the night to finish an important project, on the morning we had to take a 1hr flight on which I could sleep for maybe 20 minutes to the client and present the project in the afternoon. I was so dead the next two days. Its horrible if the sleeping Rhythmus is so messed with.
5459  Other / Off-topic / Re: How can I get traffic to my website? on: September 14, 2020, 07:25:23 AM
you can get traffic to your website by creating attractive events like discounts, live gift distribution, introducing websites on social forums, and by using SEO.

I agree, to have a steady flow on traffic on a website you need to very active on social media. Having accounts on twitter, insta, maybe YouTube will attract a lot of different people. With a few giveaways per months you can make sure that your visitors will come back regularly.
5460  Other / Off-topic / Re: Offline Best Pc games on: September 14, 2020, 07:05:54 AM
I often play offline pc games, need for speed underground, battle realms,
Assassin's Creed Syndicate, Crash Bandicoot.

Assassin's Creed games are the best for me too play offline. Especially the last one Odyssey was awesome.

Shooters I only like to play online vs humans, it's kind of boring playing vs bots.
