Markets are currently  experiencing lots of negative sentiments from different walks of life and to be honest  we have to look for new reasons for markets to rebound once again and at the moment nothing promising is in the pipe line keep holding good luck
5442  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Economic Costs of Gambling on: June 05, 2021, 08:28:13 PM

I would like to know what really causes gambling addiction because everywhere in the world of Gambling people will advice
on  how to address Gambling problems and they have gone an extra mile to offer some one to talk to about this problem....so where is the real problem.

Why is it that the negatives were only stated? Gambling is a big contributor a country's economy, think about Las Vegas, Macau and other countries that have been opened and known to be the gambling capitals.
Very true for those running a gambling business am without a doubt that this is a profitable business and to some players they have found a profitable way of playing their favorite games.

5444  Other / Off-topic / China Launches Copyright Protection Blockchain on: June 05, 2021, 10:41:27 AM
The Copyright Society of China (CSC), a public, government-tied institution under the National Copyright Administration of China, launched the China Copyright Chain on Tuesday.

The new blockchain can document proof of digital assets, monitor infringement activities, collect evidence online, issue notices to remove piracy products and help courts settle copyright-related disputes and process lawsuits, CSC said.

“The blockchain is great for digital copyright protection given its technical features such as immutability, source-tracing ability and distributed consensus,” Xiaohong Yan, chairman of CSC, said during a forum on innovation and copyright protection.

While everyone was blaming China for the bullish spell  experienced by cryptos because they were rumors of miners being banned, they have have actually come with news which I see to be bullish and halt more shitcoins that copy code (**if not open source **) from hitting the market.
5445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are MEME Coins A NEW Trend on: June 05, 2021, 09:07:24 AM
These guys keep milking the market with what's trending and the unfortunate part is we buy in on these crypto  trends....the last one was NFTs not sure if they are trending but today we have meme coins because Dogecoin is usually making headlines all because of Elon and others want to ride the wave,i guess we can say they are the new trend.
5446  Bitcoin / Press / [2021-06-04] Elon Musk is ‘definitely too influential on Bitcoin prices’ on: June 05, 2021, 06:33:46 AM
Elon Musk is ‘definitely too influential on Bitcoin prices’ says head of crypto hedge fund—but that may change

Elon Musk caused more calamity in bitcoin price action late Thursday and into Friday, leading at least one crypto hedge-fund manager to describe the Tesla Inc. CEO and prolific tweeter as “too influential on bitcoin prices.”

“Musk is definitely too influential on Bitcoin prices,” Kevin Kang, co-founder and principal at BKCoin Capital, told MarketWatch in emailed comments, while attending a bitcoin conference in Miami.

Kang’s remarks come after Musk on Thursday evening issued a cryptic tweet that many in the world of digital assets were interpreting as the billionaire’s breakup with bitcoin. The tweet included the bitcoin logo and a broken-heart emoji.

Nice write up OP, I just went back in memory lane were I recalled all this you have explained when I was learning forex and trying to get an understanding of what all these terms meant in forex.

Interesting to see that others don't agree but like  stompix said these explanations could be the lazy simple way of explaining these terms and tbh the explanations work!!
5448  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do I give a shit if elonmusk tweets some shit about Bitcoin? on: June 04, 2021, 09:00:31 PM

Elon owned you and right now you enraged, which lead you to creating this topic to release steam Cheesy

Hahaha, OP does give a shit about Elon he doesn't just know it.

Guys something we all must understand is anyone that has money and has influence is a powerful man in any place you look or industry  that is.

and Elon tested the waters and now he is brave enough to tweet his mind and command where btc price goes.
5449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETHEREUM WILL WORTH $10000 on: June 04, 2021, 07:47:09 PM
I like how you think, if only markets were this predictable everyone would have invested their life savings into crypto but unfortunately this all depends on who wants the crypto more (demand)!

I could be wrong maybe this is the holy grail of predicting crypto price and ensuring true believers hold longer and wait for the right time.

5453  Bitcoin / Press / [2021-06-04] Bitcoin falls after Elon Musk tweets breakup meme on: June 04, 2021, 03:42:08 PM
Bitcoin's price fell Friday morning after Elon Musk posted a tweet suggesting he's fallen out of love with the world's top cryptocurrecy.

The billionaire Tesla CEO tweeted a meme about a couple breaking up over the male partner quoting Linkin Park lyrics, adding the hashtag #Bitcoin and a broken heart emoji.

Bitcoin fell 6% to a price of $36,273.29 at around 10:25 a.m. ET Friday, according to data from Coin Metrics. Other digital coins followed suit, with No. 2 cryptocurrency ether dipping more than 6% to $2,615.88 and dogecoin — Musk's favored crypto — sinking almost 8% to around 36 cents.

Sometimes am really not convinced that this guy has something to do with how market reacts based on his tweets, could this all be a coincidence backed by an informed tweet??
5454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best Altcoins to Buy During Dip on: June 04, 2021, 11:13:34 AM
I think most coins in the top 100 do fine after a market crash

and unfortunately we had one so, if you picked any you should be fine but pick your coins based on its utility and not one which grows on speculation only these tend to be very volatile.

I can't really decide what coin to invest now since the market is really became harder to read each year passed. Maybe I will wait another 2-3 weeks again if the btc will breakout or will pump since most of the coins right now are following btc trend.
don't be confused, there are many cheap altcoins on the market,
such as BNB only at $400, and of course the price has reached $600, yup, my advice is to buy BNB and hold it for the next 2 years.
if only the next 2 years BNB reaches $ 10000 of course you will be rich
Bnb token burns are really helping this coins value up,bnb good coin for sure.
5455  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will not be able to stay above $35k for 10 consecutive days ever again on: June 04, 2021, 08:49:14 AM

The signature seems not to agree, which is very contradictory btw but what are you basing your theory on that price won't come down to this again???

I want to agree with you but the power lies  in both sellers and buyers,  if market pressure is coming from sellers expect a bullish trend and the opposite happens if market has more buyers than sellers.

5456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: June 04, 2021, 08:26:57 AM
...fifa/uefa gives them money for the wins, and the more you win the more you earn, by the end when you become champions you earn a ton of money.
The teams don't earn a ton money, that's one of their reasons for wanting a Super League that can guarantee them up to $400 million yearly. They can never get that from the way UEFA distributes the money. The clubs are the ones taking all the risks when signing expensive players, but they aren't happy with the reward structure.

When you think about it, it's ridiculous. In some cases, getting a promotion from the English Championship to the Premier League earns those clubs more money than what winning the Champions League brings to the winning club.
If this is true why don't teams in the premier league celebrate being relegated knowing there is a pot of gold that awaits should they win the championshiptrophy?

Let me do some research on this. Will get back to you Smiley

That's because the money is evenly distributed among participants from the same countries. Did you know that Juventus earned the most money from their participation in the Champions League in seasons were Spanish or German clubs won the league? Why? Because Juventus was often the only Italian club to pass the group stages and take part in the knockout phase. So they didn't have to share the money pool with other Italian teams. In Spain, you had Real and Barca always going far.

Compare what the participants of the UCL earn to what clubs make in the MLB, NBA, NFL, etc., and you will realize why they aren't satisfied. It's all about the money.
From the juventus example you gave are you implying you are better off the only team standing after the group stage from one country to guarantee a lucrative prize.
5457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul - June 6 on: June 03, 2021, 07:58:37 PM
What could Logan Paul do against Mayweather? Nothing!
Let's point out two things: age (25 vs. 43) and a superior weight (he's physically bigger) are the only two things that Logan has in favor of Mayweather. I stop here, waiting to see if the contest will have a semblance of seriousness. "Special Exhibition": this is how the event was presented. It had to be also in that New Year's Eve in Tokyo with Nasukawa, but then Floyd........ you know the story.
Fight's gonna be a charade.
On paper this could look like an easy match based on physique and experience , and to back it up Mayweather was or should I say is said to be one of the boxers with the best defense which also results in a very boring boxing match like we witnessed the match against Pacquiao, but honestly sometimes the underdog does come through and am gone to gamble with the underdog here....otherwise this is another money in the bank for the money team.
5458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Eth 2.0 Impact on Eth on: June 03, 2021, 07:49:38 PM
I got it, the misconfusion was due to the separation between eth and eth classic, i though they might do the same with eth 2.0
Ethereum and Ethereum classic are two different coins to be precise eth classic is actually built on the Ethereum blockchain.

As of eth 2.0 this isn't some kind of hard fork of Ethereum, this is just some kind of soft fork to make Ethereum better and more attractive to its users which should fix some of its flaws .

Impact will have to go to seeing to it fees are kept low to keep the smart contract coin competitive.
5459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: June 03, 2021, 02:27:35 PM
So do you think Ronaldo is still suitable to play in Serie A or other big European leagues for the next 3 seasons?

If you look at last season he was the top scorer, then I would say he still deserves to play in Serie A this season, even in Spain I think next season he will do well if he comes back to Madrid. As for 3 more years I think I have to see the next season.

And Ronaldo might actually end up being the oldest striker in the history books because the man is in good shape  and still puts up a good show if family doesn't ask him to hang his boots, the love of the game is beyond a passion!

Quote
As for the contract at Juve, there seems to be no new news, even I heard that Alegri is not interested in using him for next season. So I think the madrid fans will be happy to see him come back to Madrid.
Really, never thought someone would reject Cristiano Ronaldo, but I hope this is not true!
But if this is the case let them not sign  so that he leaves as a free agent then a Manchester United move  would become a reality  or his boyhood team Sporting Lisbon .
5460  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Statue in Hungary on: June 03, 2021, 02:18:23 PM
This should send waves around the world with a message saying people appreciate the great innovation that Satoshi initiated and if this continues more countries we follow and make their countries a crypto haven.

I just hope the statue doesn't get any backlash from other people who would be interested in the reference this was based on and the alike...you know we human  beings tend to be petty sometimes.

Great initiative Hungary 🇭🇺.
