Roma is close to get Sarri in they already had looked into Max Allegri before deciding on getting Sarri instead after the manager currently in charge Paulo Fonseca has clashed with senior team members throughout this season and according to sources from ESPN.
The deal between Maurizio Sarri and Roma reportedly had a verbal agreement for a deal and it is 80% done.
Liverpool could possibly looking to cash on Salah with at the end of the season the 28-year-old's current contract running until summer 2023 and there have been no talks in extanding his contract beyond that.

Be very good to see Sarri back in the manager's seat. That guy is good for football in my mind, old and veteran and yet simply quite progressive in terms of tactics, if you can get past the way he can clash with people. He was good for Chelsea, they just didn't know it.

Salah sales? Nah, he is too good a scorer to give up right now. Would love to see him at Barca though haha.

Although win still not safe for Chelsea can be top four position because left little points from other team, now many interested to discuss on primer league about third and fourth position, the champion guarantee for City and maybe Manchester United have great chance keep take second position in this season.

Nothing's safe now if you look at every team in 3-7th place. Winning, losing, drawing, to random teams. Fulham should have put up a bigger fight though IMO fighting relegation but Chelsea seem to have gained a lot of confidence since making it so far now in Champions League. They also have the advantage. Fear Chelsea if they win UCL!

What a wasted opportunity... It's difficult to comment something about game, but shit happens sometimes. It's pity to lose against team like Granada, especially when they are missing many important players. But everything is still in our hands.
Nobody aren't talking about it, but Sevilla is also in the race for title, I think they're hottest team in the league. I can't remember any season when there was 4 teams fighting for title just few rounds before end of season.

Did anyone take outright league winner bets this season?
Nope, before season I didn't had big expectations about Barca, it was difficult to expect that we can fight for it this season. I haven't checked this market during season. But personally, I rarely make such long term bets as outrights.

Sevilla yeah maybe but they also drew a lot in past, the only way they can make it is if all 3 top teams start losing 2 more games each, which well, is just impossible to hope for.

You're right though about Barca, I knew from early on we wouldn't win La Liga or anything. I hoped we would focus on UCL and build squads up instead but it ends up we are now still in the title race (but no longer in our hands because if Real wins everything they win.

I'd go as far to say as that you can't even really guarantee "old" players will bring the results desired. I'm a huge fan of Suarez, and I thought Barca were wrong to do what they did to him, so happy he found a good club at Atletico. Also happy Chicarito (don't like United but can't fault good guys like them) still can punch above his weight in MLS but even gold star players like Zlatan didn't always work out. Robbie Fowler didn't really work out on his return to Liverpool, for example.

So I still say, and I know this is naive, that you should never spend a lot of money, regardless of age. Markets can sometimes force your hand but it usually evens out (buying VVD at sky high prices after selling Coutinho for even more crazy prices, for example). Hoping my club continues their strategy of buying. We got a good player in Jota, we didn't really get good ones in between (I did think Minamino needed time though) but we just have to keep at it. Keep the gems and offload the rest.

True true and I was the first to condemn the way my club treated Suarez. I know you are a Liverpool supporter so I guess even you remember what Suarez did for your club despite all the scandals he did and I think it was his experience there that tamed him and made him a much better behaved player after that;)

Also regret the role we played in inflating market prices with the Coutinho buy. MAde even more painful that we had to pay YOU millions in bonus when he won UCL with Bayern Munich ah the days.

Agree, Southampton has lost their form as the league progressed and Leicester is looking dangerous and gunning to secure that CL spot. Should be an easy victory for the foxes but we all saw how Barca fared last night Smiley Nothing is sure in football.
I do not think that Southampton can be compared with Granada, given that there is an insignificant difference between Southampton and Leicester if we are guided by statistics [34 wins against 30], while Barcelona won 80% of all matches. While I agree that Leicester is playing better now than before, I still tend to think that statistics are the deciding factor, so today I bet on Southampton.

Guess just as you said Trofo about Barca, even Leicester can almost lose to a 10-man team who has no good form to count on.

Southampton can't be compared to Granada too, we're talking about a team that is trying to find a stable footing in EPL versus a team that recently competed in Europe against some of the best teams and have beaten this season PSV and Napoli. No small achievement!
5446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: May 01, 2021, 05:02:45 PM
The fate of Barcelona was very bad. Granada was not a strong opponent. Yet Barcelona lost. Barcelona has played great in the first half. Barcelona had a lot of good attacks. But the finishing was not good. Barcelona has more possession of the ball, but could not attack more than that. Moreover, they are is still weak in a counterattack.

That's the mistake they made though. Underestimate Granada who has actually done very well since promoting themselves into La Liga. This win even still gives them a small chance of qualifying to Europa again (where they also didn't do too badly by the way).

If my team keeps underestimating opponents like this, we might as well just give up the fight now.
5447  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 01, 2021, 07:46:57 AM
The problem isn't their quality, mostly it's their price. When you buy a younger player, you can still sell him later and earn a lot of money. These players come with high initial fees, but can be perceived as investment as well.

Old players have no resell value, they demand big contracts and signing bonuses because of their quality and it's often better for a club to buy a slightly worse young player than a slightly better old one - even if it sounds weird.

When these players turn out good, it's great. But more often than not they turn out to be bad investments.

Fair enough, but for clubs like Manchester United anyway, they usually buy players for direct impact and results (from what I can see despite all the different managers they have adopted Ferguson's approach).

After Ronaldo, they haven't been good at reselling people who were even young enough to get good prices and we'll see it again with Pogba haha.

And who can blame clubs who want to buy results? Like you said, buy new guys and you risk losing investments anyway.

Now I am thinking of it I remember reading even in 2019/20 about some of these oracle bridges that would be tracking metrics like this on-chain, using IP information to aggregate data. Seems like it still hasn't happened yet or maybe it's still too big and useless of an effort to make?

Quite surprised also Binance hasn't done something like this.
5449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 30, 2021, 07:51:59 PM
This is funny.

Remember last year when people were saying, too much money, old player, etc?

Manchester wants to keep Cavani 1 more year now!

Say what they want about these old guys, they still can sniff out and score goals better than most young people. Once a hunter, always a hunter.

They said the same about Suarez too and look how hungry he is. Scoring for fun and playing like he's 30.

Sometimes, people don't know what they're saying;)

If you have a gambling problem you should stop, no matter you limited the bet will be ended chase the lost and try to recover, and in the end you lost all of your money. Try to educate yourself, a small suggestion you can't stop gambling instantly but you can limited any kind activity until you can stop. First thing should be act block gambling site & try to get some activity.

I also successfully 2 weeks without gambling. Grin

I guess the point is that some people just can't stop gambling even if they are fully aware of how bad it is for them. Sounds like most of our vices of course. The things we habitually can't help doing despite knowing the repercussions.

And that's the first step to recognize it and seek the help to overcome it with others.

2 weeks? Easy. Happens to me about twice a year because of no internet when I go holiday or camping:) Except this year Covid time I had no break:)
5451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is BNB is at it's peak price? on: April 30, 2021, 05:43:35 PM
for now yes. ATH for bnb at 600 $ and there is no sign of it being broken anytime soon. but it does not rule out that in the future there will be new ATH for BNB, that means BNB still has a chance to go up. as long as the bull market persists, bnb still has a possibility. I believe BNB will follow ethereum.

I wouldn't be so quick to rule it out. Even during the crypto bear of the past 2 weeks price didn't even manage to take BNB down below $500, which to me was super impressive (but I guess CAKE going to v2 really helped it a lot). At this rate, it could be the next ETH, going to $1500 maybe before dropping down in the next crypto winter.

Lost money betting on a winner last night, should have gone for goal totals and BTTS which was what I originally planned for, but who can tell when these teams can suddenly go out and score 2 goals each right?

All eyes on Barca tonight. On a usual type of bet I go for Granada but how can I ever bet against my own team right?

I would never bet on Granada and think with your head and not with your heart and you can surely bet against your own team. This win is critical for Barcelona to get as it gives them the first place and then they have to manage it for the very few games remaining.Any other result except win tonight is really bad for Barcelona.

I just jinxed my own team:(

I did think the odds were too good, and felt worried. But I mean Messi even put us ahead at Half Time, and then we somehow allowed Granada the small team from the south, show us how it feels like.

Our game in hand is now gone, Real's draw and Atletico's loss were gifts, we gave them back:)
5453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many scammers have you funded by putting your money in? on: April 30, 2021, 03:56:53 PM
Omg. I have been fooled so many times that it is quite embarrassing to talk about it. I have been in this industry for soooooo long and have seen good projects that are obviously better than the ones I invested in. Its just that my dumb eyes back then were easily fooled by baseless and too good time be true promises. Good thing though is I only invest amounts that are of not that much use to me so I can easily move on from the pain. But still though, I could've been sitting on hundreds of thousands of dollars had I invested in the right ones instead back then. I even invested on doge due to my stupidity back then but sold when I realised it was a joke of a coin but now I feel even more dumb than ever watching how much dogecoin went up in price recently. This industry is making me nuts!

As I said above, though, not even good projects that you spend days and weeks to do due diligence can guarantee you it's safe.

So no need to feel humiliated I guess. I feel really bad thinking about it but I try to see those experiences as lessons that I've learnt and hopefully use to remind me never to trust people too much, no matter how good things look and feel.

I think that today Leicester will beat Southampton, but I do not think that the match will be easy for them... Their last game against Southampton they won on home field with a minimum score...

It's really really hard to tell these days but Leicester do want to protect their CL spot I believe and they will go all out... while Saints probably feel they have nothing to fight for realistically.

I still think form is too tight to ignore a possible Saints upset though.

Usually taking an investment advice from others is not the best idea. Everyone also pursues their own interests with advice, which do not always have to correspond to your interests. That's why I would always do my own research. And there is no way to get rich quickly, but only over time. Most here didn't get rich overnight with crypto either, but by holding their Bitcoins and other crypto for years, even when times were bad for crypto. That's the core of success, not which coin do I need to invest in to achieve financial freedom tomorrow.

And yet people in this space just seem to love doing it (same as forex and other regular trading though so maybe not fair to just say it's cryptoheads doing it).

And then also, people think doing research makes them immune to losses (it doesn't).

The real lesson is that you have to do things on your own to OWN your profits AS WELL AS losses. Then you really gain the experience from it.

It just keeps demontrating how easy it is to store value in Bitcoin and how easy it is to liquidate the BTC at a good market rate. Can't just dump gold Smiley
When the bear market comes, The company that is here for the profits is the one that makes the bear market deep. They can easily add to the bull runs hype and add fuel to the bear who is dumping, I can say that they can do small manipulation in the market as they want. Though this can help the cryptocurrency community to grow by making the company an influence to gather new crypto users.

Even if that's true (profit taking companies making bear markets go deep) there's nothing wrong with that. Like I said, if people sell and sell a lot like it, it proves just how liquid BTC markets are. As opposed to gold where you even have to find a buyer and then arrange for safety and security etc.

If there's nothing wrong with big buyers, shouldn't be anything wrong with big dumpers:P
5457  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk statement on his Bitcoin holding on: April 30, 2021, 08:16:20 AM
He is an expert, he know what he doing. I still believe that Elon Musk see something good about bitcoin. In my oppinion, use popularity to help increase the price of stock or cryptocurrency in order to gain profit isn't good behaviour. If he do that then he and his company image will become bad. I think he really interested to bitcoin and blockchain technology.

He is an expert in tech yes and building space tech etc but he is not an expert in Bitcoin and on wealth,,, I am so sure the decision came from his CFO or something similar in a financial position.

Even he admitted he got in late when surely he must have heard about it a long time ago and yet did not get in. So as an expert if he did not get in early, then he surely needs to be a better expert:)
5458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: RUMOUR: Facebook will announce they hold #Bitcoin on: April 29, 2021, 04:49:36 PM
I agree with you there.
Besides, as the news about tesla yesterday shows, corporations who do decide to hold an asset (this is all they see it as from the very start) do what is in the best interest of the stock holders of their companies and not what the markets are doing.
Even if they do, who cares.
They will sell it off on a whim when the price is right to do so,
At what their stock holders are wanting to do and dump it all at once if they want them too.

Exactly. All that companies do are for the interest of their profits, and most importantly, how to protect those profits. And the moment they decide it's Bitcoin is good news. And if they do sell it anyway, it's also good. It just keeps demontrating how easy it is to store value in Bitcoin and how easy it is to liquidate the BTC at a good market rate. Can't just dump gold Smiley

I don't really know a lot of these types of people but if I had to recommend one service to look at it would probably be Defi Pulse.

They've been doing a lot of research behind the scenes and their famous Total Value Locked chart is referenced by almost every known article you'll ever read on Defi, which is the biggest sector for altcoins these days.
5460  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: April 29, 2021, 02:46:55 PM
I am not Manchester City fan but honestly in the current EPL era, clubs with a big money aren't only Manchester City. and I think if Aguero leave, it will not have a big impact for City because they have a good squad both subs and their starting eleven and it has been proven that until now City have been playing very consistently every week.

I totally agree. And my own club in La Liga also has big money BUT there is a difference when you look closer. City totally bought their team,,, it didn't work immediately, same as Chelsea. From never winning anything to now dominating almost everything.

Big money clubs like United did it also but they had a foundation of regular winning to then buy their superstars. Arsenal and Liverpool cannot compared their spends to City or United.

But see also the teams players. Aguero is a hero BUT he doesn't speak English after 10 years, and you don't see him feature in the local news or scenes with community and fans mostly like other City players. It's not like Rashford for United or Trent for Liverpool who are heroes for club and for the people.

I am not criticizing City or anything for this, but only saying that there are some things money can't buy outside the pitch:)
