The Fucking Chinese (Status:Reported to mod)
I get your drift.

However, I do think the thread in quote is still relevant without any ambivalence. The Chinese are  still a talking point given the goings on in the global space right now. They're truly "f**king" the world with the virus. No disrespect meant.
5442  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you think about Arbitrage trading... on: April 12, 2020, 04:33:58 AM
I think it is unethical to lure people with irrealistic expectations when considering arbitrage and to not warn them about the extreme danger on the long run of trying this.
There isn't anything unethical or illegal about it. If you talk about risk, I would say yes it's risky. But then is there any business that doesn't come with its own risk? Bro, they all do. Even life itself has its own risk, much more buying and selling. So, I think one needs to acquire the expertise to be able to profit from arbitration. That's just it, nothing else. It has no morality question on it.
5443  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Canada include the bitcoin. on: April 11, 2020, 04:49:08 PM
Trading these speculative assets is not the same as transacting with actual BTC.  People aren't learning anything about Bitcoin when they're dealing with something more analogous to stocks and shares.
Truth be told, most people who are trading Bitcoin really don't even know anything about Bitcoin apart from the fact that it's a means of payment. So, there is more to learning how Bitcoin works than actually using it. I think it's a good sign that all these are happening and that Bitcoin is getting listed on many stock exchange platforms, notwithstanding.
5444  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Fucking Chinese on: April 11, 2020, 08:01:04 AM
This comment aged nicely given the current circumstances.
Honestly, almost like the author was the famed Nostradamus with his clairvoyance. This novel Coronavirus pandemic has thrown up the "cuss" China has bestowed on the world. To even think the country is seemingly out of the pandemic while the rest of the world is overwhelmed with the virus lends credence to the conspiracy theory against China.

China, should kindly give the globe back its normal life.
5445  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time Will tell on: April 11, 2020, 06:42:45 AM
Think of the way governments tries to Establish different regulations and laws on Bitcoin this leads to see the feuture of Bitcoin will be good more than the way we think. Government should not underestimates people's Power and Bitcoin strengthen by It's users
The people are the government, remember. The officials of government are collectively chosen from the people to represent the larger population. So, until those who love Bitcoin at heart are chosen into government the situation isn't going to change tremendously. Now imagine getting top members of BTT in the majority into government of their respective countries. Your guess is as good as mine of the direction Bitcoin legislation will go.

However, despite the odd, I know things are gradually changing and soon the mass adoption we seek will materialize. It's just a matter of time.
5446  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Coinomi wallet on: April 11, 2020, 05:52:00 AM
Coinomi is one of the most popular wallets in the market, it has a strong reputation. The best Coinomi feature is an ability to support a lot of coins.
This is apt and right on it. I have used it for long that I can't really remember how long now and I have never had any issue with it.

Coinomi – is one of the first, and most trusted, cryptocurrency multiwallets.

wrong.
Coinomi is neither first, nor most trusted one out there.
But of course, "one of the first" as used by the OP doesn't mean "first" actually. It simply means it could be counted among the pioneer wallets. I think the Coinomi wallet has come a long way, really. And to this effect the OP is right.
5447  Economy / Speculation / Re: Comeback for the bitcoin on: April 08, 2020, 09:07:38 PM
even though the price is cheap, it will be cheaper. If you have a reserve fund, it is indeed the right choice to buy BTC.

I am waiting for BitCion to go down to 1 US Dollar, and then I will buy some...   I do not mind gambling with my Lunch Money  Grin Grin Grin

Hard Facts
This is the illusive thought of a dreamer. This isn't going to happen, ever. Come to think of it, if Bitcoin becomes that cheap what do you think will become the fate of the crypto industry? Of course, it will collapse.

Payment received. Thank you once again. I hope to get in once the campaign reopens.
5449  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you know when to sell on: April 07, 2020, 08:53:42 PM
Put an imaginary £500 into an imaginary trading account. Then pretend that you are trading with it by making imaginary purchases and sales. See how you get on for 3 months. If you make an imaginary loss, then you need to do some more reading. Analyse your trades, and if you feel comfortable with them, then try speculating with £100 for another 3 months.
On the flip side, demo trading isn't the same as live trading. The first doesn't harbour any emotion while the second has it packed. Remember, emotions are the major killer in trading besides Money Management (MM) misappropriation.

While OP is getting the required skill set for trading, I would like to advise that they adopt the simple method of selling when others are buying, and buying when others are selling.
5450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The sincere bounty managers should escrow bounty rewards on: April 07, 2020, 04:58:32 PM
OP is apt on this and I share in their thought. Perhaps theymos should make this a governing rule.

Keeping bounty funds in escrow does not stop I'll treatment on the hunters by projects. Some projects can be outright scam yet funds are escrowed that re ders the tokens useless upon distribution. Stable coin payments bounties should be encouraged.
At least, the BMs should do their research before accepting the contracts and be true to themselves not to only concentrate on what they can get out of the bounty as payment at the detriment of hunters. I know quite alright that BMs get paid in BTC or other already listed coins like ETH/Litecoin, other than the bounty tokens. So, to a greater extent they're exempted from the hardship hunters go through after bounties have ended.

I'm quite sure every bounty manager would had love to escrow the bounty allocation to prevent cases of their participants not getting paid but I don't think they're to be blame since the project developers hiring the bounty manager has the final say as If they're not interested in escrowing the funds there's nothing the bounty manager can do and if he/she regrets the job, other managers will be willing to take up the job.
That is why the BMs have to be less self-centered. They should insist on escrow and know that whatever that will be will surely be. If it's their contract to get, it will surely cone back to them. They don't have to lower standard so they can get a bite out of every pie. How do you think Julerz makes it? Do you think he hasn't lost some contracts for insisting on escrow or whatever that is right?
5451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is CitiOS (R2R) gone for good? on: April 07, 2020, 09:25:22 AM
As far as I know this project bounty handled by arteezy right? Maybe you can ask him if whats the real score about payment.
Yes, the bounty here was handled by Arteezy. But it became obvious that Arteezy didn't have any control over them once the bounty ended and it was time to update bounty hunters on distribution schedule. It was a sad development as many hunters who participated in that bounty realized too late they had walked into a tight corner. I think BMs should be asking any project they take on to escrow the tokens for hunters. I know a few BMs who do this and I always try to be in their bounties. Julerz is great at this, always asking for escrow for his hunters.
5452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HODLers, spend your BTC on: April 07, 2020, 08:12:40 AM
I want you to consider this as a hodler. If we all hodl our coins, they don't circulate.
Remember that scarcity endows a thing with value, so to say. If more people hodl back their Bitcoin and don't sell, expectedly it will cause scarcity because demand will become greater than supply and price will begin to head up. We all want Bitcoin to appreciate in price, isn't it? So, don't you think this advice of yours is contradictory to the general and collective wish of the community?
5453  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc:Could we expect a bigger push -up? on: April 07, 2020, 05:37:21 AM
I share in your bullishness on Bitcoin and I guess it's the safer route to go, considering the happenstance globally. Besides, May is just around the corner and I anxiously await a fresh wave of reawakening in Bitcoin price because of Halving in May. We shall likely experience another round of the post August 2017 era that saw the first ever Bitcoin fork.

BTW, it seems the days of Bitcoin forks are now over?
5454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is KYC bad for crypto? on: April 06, 2020, 11:17:59 PM
Don't do KYC on any new projects, it will be very risky!
This post here is laden with too much sense. Besides unscrupulous teams and their devs selling KYC documents for monetary exchange or scampering with it, KYC defeats the essence of anonymity which Bitcoin stands for. However, I think what makes people indulge in KYC projects is either their belief that the project will give them a good ROI or they're deceived/tricked into such. We see this latter scenario in bounties. I have been a victim of this where teams change the rule and asked for KYC at the end of bounty as part of the condition for distribution. This is really sad and unfortunate.
5455  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion to make rank-up more difficult on: April 06, 2020, 10:10:29 PM
this I will loosely translate here - A man with a healthy penis doesn't know the travails of one with the elephantiasis of the scrotum.

True,  I can not image wheeling my testicles in a wheel barrel.  I can only say it must be terrible.
Lol... You can only imagine that scenario. Glad it cracked you up to the point of you shilling it some merits. I appreciate.
5456  Other / Meta / Re: Identifying alts using posted addresses on: April 06, 2020, 08:24:47 PM
Honestly Vod, I have shared this thought too and you're correct to the last letter. This is a dangerous time and tide we live in with scammers and blood letting goons everywhere.

Although this is slightly different — At a time in the past I made a suggestion on an Altcoin thread to BM to help curb cheating and scamming. It was simple - BM should ask all participants to update their profiles with their wallet address and then update their spreadsheets from that address. That way, scammers won't he able to use other people's accounts for social media tasks.
5457  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion to make rank-up more difficult on: April 06, 2020, 05:47:44 PM
Many will wonder after reading the title. Maybe many will blame this idea.

But, in my opinion, ranking up is way too easy now...

So I suggest to raise the merit standards because it is way too easy to earn them and also raise the needed activity for higher ranks.
That is a situational irony you've got here, OP. That you your merits easily thrown at you doesn't mean it's that easy for others or that you're a better poster than they are. Just count your blessings and be mutely grateful to the community.

In addition, your post brings to the fore of a popular saying in my tribe, this I will loosely translate here - A man with a healthy penis doesn't know the travails of one with the elephantiasis of the scrotum.
5458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee 2020 Prediction on: April 06, 2020, 04:11:12 PM
From the legendary John McAfee that is now turn over at his statement, he told before in the way back of 2017 that he is predicting the market price of the bitcoin for over $500,000 dollars market price at the end of the year of 2020 and he will gonna eat his d*ck if he made a mistake on his calculations and now he is stating that the bitcoin is now worthless and now he is promoting the use of the monero, ethereum and dai. What are your insights about this? are you willing to wait for his promise about the market prediction?
To state it mildly, McAfee is simply human and not a certain supernatural being. He made that prediction in the heat of the Bitcoin orgasm of 2017. He wasn't the only one who predicted that Bitcoin was going to go pass a hugemous price level. Many of the mouthed crypto veterans did too. If we took McAfee for his word, then we should be reevaluating our business sense to have believed something not feasible within a short period of time. For all we know, Bitcoin may not even get to the $500,000 mark ever in its lifetime. Now, there are new innovations and projects with utility that can (with time) deplete the strength of Bitcoin.

And no, McAfee won't eat his dick for failing at his prediction...
5459  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your Satoshi theory? Deceased or alive & well on: April 06, 2020, 03:49:09 PM
I think he is dead. He was assassinated shortly after he invented the legendary Bitcoin. If not why is his almost one million holding still not depleted years after Bitcoin became popular? No one can hodl that long once their token/coin became highly priced. We all know what happened to Litecoin at its peak and how the creator cashed out.
5460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Restoring crypto back to normal is possible on: April 05, 2020, 10:20:41 PM
I think OP is subjective where they used the word "normal". For me, I think crypto is already normal the way it is. We may not be having it good like the pre-2018 seasons but definitely we can't say the industry is fairing any worse. What we have now is crypto trying to react to the dynamics of market forces. And this pandemic too isn't making it any easier for the industry. But when compared to the stock exchange industry, we can assuredly conclude that crypto is making headway. Bitcoin selling about $6,000 at a time like this is something to cheer about.
