By what you describe you probably visited the site which is using browser mining script, but to make sure that the device is not infected with some virus / malware I suggest you to download free version of Malwarebytes and to make full scan (even better if you do that in safe mode). You can also scan your device with antivirus, and there is small tool for checking browser from Malwarebytes named AdwCleaner.

In any case you should use good proactive protection which is blocking the majority of Internet threats., For instance, my AV is always block any attempt of browser mining script, and there is also some browser coin mining blockers which you can download for your browser.

Awesome advice Lucius.
The Noscript extension for Mozilla is also a good extension in fighting mining and malicious scripts on the browser. The power keep a website's script blocked from running or whitelisting the script is in the user's hands. Only downside about this extension is that it's currently available for only mozilla
5462  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you want to help the forum? on: April 12, 2019, 05:48:07 PM
Bounty hunters for example...
You find someone with loads of bounty link reports in their post history. Bounties as old as one year ago, but they are not bothered to delete anything.

In fact a post history fully of bounty report links kills one's chances of;
- Earning merit as most merit givers look through your post history.
- Joining high quality Bitcoin paying signature campaigns as Campaign managers may obviously think that one is a poor poster
5463  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Inheritance - SCAM - FAKE TEAM & Plagiarism on: April 12, 2019, 03:44:48 AM
Have a nice day !

We get wrong about Fake Team and whiteparper but We cant not Scam project Inheritance (IEI)

We will be update Team and whitepareper again in the near future when the project goes into stability
See this is where the problem is.
Why did you use fake team photos?
Are you trying to hide something? And why was the white paper plagiarized in the first place?

If you want real money from investors, then why do you fake your project information?
5464  Other / Meta / Re: Solutions to send merits to good posts in Ignore Boards if don't unignore it on: April 12, 2019, 01:39:36 AM
Personally I think ignoring a board is too harsh. There are many good discussions in the economic board for example.

I think administrators shouldn't do anything like your suggestion because it may encourage more people to ignore boards and that's not helpful or healthy for the forum, imo.

Boards need moderation and users shouldn't have so many incentives to posts.
Totally agree with you.
I always see older members and even some merit sources say that such boards are on their ignore list, because the boards are full of shitposters and spammers but what have we done about it?

Ignoring a board isn't a solution to stopping shitposting or spamming but if we would grant incentives to merit worthy posts and replies this could encourage other users to make good post. Shitposters can also turn into good poster one day.
A good example is the Help and beginners board, despite even not having an active moderator currently, people now make good posts in there which wasn't the case in the past

5465  Other / Meta / Re: Red trust bullies on: April 11, 2019, 02:55:11 AM
I thought this forum is supposed to be decentralized, why are the few mobsters holding power over all of us.
Mind sharing who they are and what they did to break your heart?

What's the points of creating a brand-new account if you cannot even properly state what happened?
Man up or "woman up" and go straight to the point. It's just a bitcointalk account anyway. Nobody is gonna shot you or beat you up for clearly stating your dissatisfaction.

5466  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Easy strat trading in profit on: April 10, 2019, 08:32:41 AM
Current market is good for the traders due to the volatility happening people are getting the good buy and sell price now and thus this margin is making people to make some quick short term trading profits from the trade.
Did you even take your time to read through the thread before replying?

DO NOT DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL THE FILE!!!

I repeat do not download and install the file, 25 Engines on virustotal have detected that it's a MALWARE

https://www.virustotal.com/#/file/f62cbe39ba844361f08f91edf59ca8c098d4a85218cf84f67880616d9ef743e4/detection

https://talkimg.com/images/2023/07/19/nuZX1.png

It's obviously intended to target traders who have some money to trade.
OP was trying to share a trading bot which is malware, people tried to warn and here you are with a "current-market-is-good..." comment. Bumping the thread and making the previous warnings disappear.
Quite disappointing that you are wearing even a signature from a good campaign manager.

5468  Other / Beginners & Help / Understanding HD Wallets on: April 09, 2019, 02:37:59 AM
WHAT IS AN HD WALLET

An HD Wallet, or Hierarchical Deterministic wallet, is a modern type of digital wallet that automatically generates a hierarchical or an ordered tree-like structure of private/public addresses (or keys) using a single master seed key based on BIP 32 (bitcoin Improvement Protocol 32)

BREAKDOWN

Normally, in Bitcoin wallets a pair of private/public(or keys) is randomly generated and this requires one to take a backup each time one attempts to create a new wallet
This process was challenging back then before the advent of HD wallets because it would become more and more complicated and cumbersome to track and backup so many private keys as the number of one’s generated addresses and transactions increased.

However, when an HD wallet is created, a single random seed (also called the 'master private key') is generated. All the other private keys (and their corresponding public addresses) that will be part of the HD wallet are generated from that single base.
All HD wallets use a variant of the standard 12-word master seed key, and each time this seed can be extended at the end by a counter value which makes it possible to automatically derive an unlimited number of new addresses as illustrated in the picture below

Taking a backup of this master seed key only once means that all subsequent addresses can easily be re-created mathematically from the algorithm during restoration. HD wallets use a one-way SHA-256 hash algorithm which produces this tree of keys without any error if the input (or seed key) is the same

ADVANTAGES OF HD WALLETS

  • Effortless backup procedure: One needs to backup only one key (i.e. “seed key”) and it is the only backup one will ever need for all their addresses in the HD wallet
  • Generating new Bitcoin addresses made easy: One can generate as many receiving addresses every time they need to receive bitcoins as they like without ever worrying to backup each time
  • Improved security: An HD wallet also has the concept of a 'master public key'. This can be used on a website, for example, to generate all the public addresses, but cannot generate the private keys for those addresses. This makes the master public key very useful and very secure
  • Improved financial privacy: HD wallets also help one protect their financial privacy without much effort as one is able to generate different addresses for each deposit making it hard for anybody with malicious intent to track down one’s transactions so long as the culprit does not have access to the master public key

COMMON HD WALLETS

1. Ledger Nano S (Hardware wallet)
2. Trezor (Hardware wallet)
3. KeepKey (Hardware wallet)
4. Electrum (Mobile/Desktop)
5. Jaxx (Mobile/Desktop)
6. Mycelium (mobile)
7. Atomic wallet (Mobile/Desktop)
8. Coinomi (Mobile/Desktop)

You should have taken profit already by now. A correction is imminent.
5470  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: April 01, 2019, 09:01:11 PM
although Madrid has started to improve, but chasing Barcelona is very unlikely. winning over huesca hardly changes anything. but at least they must be consistent to stay in the champions league zone and improve themselves in the summer transfer.
Trophy is already written off for this season.
The wins are meant to help the Real Madrid dress room gain some confidence after the return of Zidane and also help them gain momentum as they prepare for next season
There is still a lot of work to be done both on pitch and off pitch.
5471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: April 01, 2019, 08:56:22 PM
So bad I didn't watch the game. Arsenal leading the Chasing pack behind City and Liverpool. 14 points separating Arsenal and second placed Manchester City.
Now that's one very enormous gap  Roll Eyes

5473  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: [VIDEO] - BITCOIN Technical Analysis April - TARGET $5,000 ? Today on: March 31, 2019, 10:37:51 PM
It won't happen overnight or within a few hours but we are getting there.
Bitcoin hasn't really be so volatile like it was like last time around so a sharp spike might not happen for now but i am guessing as the price progresses on to 5K and beyond it will become more and volatile, and we shall start seeing overnight sharp price changes.
5474  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are you favourite Indicators for trading? on: March 31, 2019, 10:22:01 PM
RSI being a lagging indicator rarely helps. Most of the time it fails to predict anything so I really don't recommend you use it.
It works if you know what you are doing and what you are looking for. RSI and alongside EMA helped me make roughly 15% profit on one of the trades this week on a coin which is even dumping as shown by the daily chart.

I usually look at that double dip as shown in the first yellow box. As soon as the second dip starts to rise past 30 that's a strong buy signal for me even before the 4 EMA cross over each other to show a bullish trend

Now my target is usually 7% profit but in this scenario the sell signal came at around 15% which i happily took (a 4 EMA crossover and the RSI overbought indication in the second yellow box was enough to convince me to sell). Now tell me how this is a failure to predict?

Remember this is a dumping coin where people can't even think of making a profit

5475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 31, 2019, 09:55:44 PM
The Milans don't disappoint when it comes to being inconsistent, do they?
I think even if Juventus just stopped training for the remaining matches and just played them right out, they would still lift the trophy.
I am yearning to see a reply of those old days when the Milan derby was really something hot. When the Milan teams had fire in them... but i guess it's just a dream now.
5476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: March 31, 2019, 09:49:54 PM
<...>
Agree, though I predicted a 3-1 win in favour of Madrid, I knew today's opponents were going to put up a fight.
Nice to See Big Benz back to the scoring sheets. It's still so unfamiliar having him as Real Madrid La Liga topic scorer with just 15 goals i think?
Messi has like 31 and Suraez around 18.
This is a very big indicator that something was totally amiss for RM this season... This is one campaign Los Blancos would want to forget so quickly.

I am even downloading it right now as i type this.

I am not a fan of animations but if its about bitcoin, then it will be an exception
5478  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are you favourite Indicators for trading? on: March 31, 2019, 07:20:54 PM
Wow, thanks for your responses folks, looks like the most popular indicators are bollinger bands, MAs and RSI.
I personally haven't been using the bollinger bands I am definitely going to look at it the coming week

All these you listed are lagging indicators (they go after the trade call has happened) They can make you money, no doubt. But that may not last as they can lose you more money than they ever make for you. You need leading indicators like Trend Lines, Pivot Points and Price Action. These indicators lead you to where price is going ahead of time.
Lagging indicators to me are much better. By the time they show a buy or sell signal depending on the interval you have set. You sure have to buy or sell unlike other indicators that can lead you to certain traps like the bull trap.
My kind of strategy doesn't require taking 40 - 50% profit per trade, Just 1-7% is enough, so they work perfectly for me.

5479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: March 31, 2019, 06:57:59 PM
Great win for liverpool, they had to dig in dip for that, They aren't gonna back down! If City's gonna win this then they aren't going to have to it easy.
Chelsea won after trailing by a goal after the break.
Indeed, it was a hard fought victory. This is how they have to fight till the end if they are to get the Title. This result will be useless if they go ahead and draw or lose to a certain Newcastle or Cardiff City whilst Man City continue winning.

Real Madrid vs Huesca
So Lucas Zidane is between the sticks for Real Madrid  Grin
Match has just started and i am predicting 3-1 in favour of Real Madrid. Benzema to score.
