Maybe you misunderstood my opinion a little bit. I meant sometimes users Ignore boards (we should not discuss why they decide to ignore boards, it's personal choices), but days, weeks, or months later they see reports (from merit contest, merit challenges, merit giveaways) and have interests to find out those suggested topics/ posts on their Ignore Boards.
If they agreed with suggested topics/ posts, and want to send merits to qualifying ones, they have to unignore those boards. In fact, it is a easy step, but it's just a small adjustment, and if theymos can do that easily and with very little time, why not?
For example, if theymos pointed out a good post, and you clearly know that nearly whichever post theymos made, he usually receive bunches of merits. Then, after seeing theymos posts, you decide to visit original posts of others [actually in you Ignore board] that quoted by theymos, and find out that you can not send your merits to those posts if you don't unignore the board.
What’s the essence of ignoring the board and yet still looking into it?
