5461  Economy / Speculation / Re: On short-term traders on: June 16, 2019, 08:13:54 AM
I don't know how you can calculate someone as short term neither, now lets consider the day trader, that person is buying and selling coins probably inside an hour and do that couple of times which means he is definitely a short term trader, lets consider someone buying today and selling next year that means he is a long term trader (or someone who buys and sells when he retires which I plan to be) but what is the number that divides short term and long term? Is there a mid term as well? Like maybe 3-6 months, if its longer than 3 months its mid term but it has to be less than 6 months as well?

I don't really know what short term is but between people who buy and sell in an hour and people who buy and sell in a week are different kinds of people so I am not entirely sure if I can call them the same thing.
5462  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin about to go really high on: June 16, 2019, 07:32:25 AM
It really did, we are seeing bitcoin increasing once again, it is always a happy day when I see bitcoin going up, I have missed seeing bitcoin at these high prices, it is close to $9.3k now which is the top we have seen in 2019, lets hope in few days we can break the biggest of 2019 price as well.

I am sick and tired of waiting around and I want to cash out finally but I promised myself I won't do that unless I see my profits double and in order to reach that I need to see bitcoin at least above 12 thousand dollars or need to see ethereum above 400 dollars and I am not sure which one is more plausible right now. Whichever happens first I will be withdrawing my savings and would like to finally spend it on some stuff I have kept waiting for months and now they are really becoming urgency because of how much I waited.
5463  Economy / Speculation / Re: A Saving Plan on: June 15, 2019, 03:36:49 PM
My new saving plan involves not just spending less but earning more. We all have jobs that we go to and work and make money which helps us survive and usually covers either barely the living expenses or sometimes it doesn't even cover that but I am lucky that my income covers just about the amount of money I live, sometimes not even that but mostly it covers it.

Now, I am looking into some other stuff like airdrops and bounties and all other methods where you work to earn income from crypto and I will make those income into my savings plan and will not spend them, that way I can just put that extra money aside without withdrawing it at all and instead of spending less (which I can't really do) I would be earning more to put aside some money for the future, usually for emergency stuff.
5464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: June 15, 2019, 02:29:21 PM
People who say the raptors victory wasn't as deserved as it could be are all idiots, this is basketball and injuries happen specially when something this obvious it was already expected. I can tell you that warriors also could have lost to spurs few years back if Kawhi didn't get injured because of Zaza Pachulia but I can't because they did become champions and nobody remembers the injury but remembers the ring.

20 years from now nobody will say warriors were too injured to win and it was a lop sided game, they will only remember raptors getting the cup for the first time ever and this was the first time in history when a team from outside of USA won the cup, literally the champions are not from USA anymore, for a whole year Canada will be the NBA leader until the next cup.
5465  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Justin Bieber VS Tom Cruise - UFC Fight on: June 15, 2019, 01:14:20 PM
Pleaaaaseee make this a reality, I would love to see them fight, I mean I hate justin bieber as much as the next guy but I also hate tom cruise as well, so this fight would be fucking amazing. Anyone could win this but I would love to see them go toe to toe for rounds after rounds bleeding incredibly and all bruised up, after they are so exhausted and tired that they can't even move anymore one of them finishes the job, that would be sweet sweet entertainment for me.

I think the fact that they will be punched in the face itself is amazing, like without context without ufc, just someone punching them in the face is amazing, so to think that they will be in the ring fighting would be x100 times better. I know Tom Cruise is by far the superior fighter here and would probably get it with ease but I hope it will take a long while.
5466  Economy / Speculation / Re: Which way will it go? Which trend will it follow? on: June 15, 2019, 11:54:54 AM
It is obviously going up. The main reason for bitcoin to go up right now is that there are more people who believe bitcoin will go up, its a paradox I know but that is how bitcoin works. The more people think bitcoin will go up the more bitcoin goes up, its all in our heads and the more we buy because of the potential profit, the more we profit as well. It is a weird system and totally unheard of anywhere else in the world but its still our system so I love it.

Normally, in any other economy like the fiat has with banks they do whatever they want, they don't care if something is falling they can still profit from it and they literally bet on stuff that is going down to go up like crazy people and when they are wrong they get payments from governments to fix their own problems.
5467  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where do you think Bitcoin will be by the end of 2019? on: June 15, 2019, 08:40:05 AM
I think it depends on if another rally happens or not. Bitcoin price is fragile right now and it could be affected by anything so we are not really sure about what will happen so anything said on this topic is purely speculations and assumptions. The reality is that if someone with a lot of bitcoin sells their coins then the price will fall but if we collectively start to rally again then we can go up too.

My only hope is that there is a halving coming up next year and the difficulty of mining is going up again so combining those two facts together the miners will not be selling for cheap which could increase the price a lot, since there won't be many sellers at these prices the amount is given to increase. However remember last time we fell, the difficulty dropped as well which is why anything could happen.
5468  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trading! The good the bad and the ugly on: June 15, 2019, 07:51:34 AM
Who the hell gets addicted to day trading. I personally tried it and I feel like all day traders are crazy people, unless its your full time job and you have to somehow make money to put bread on your table there is absolutely no reason to check all those small numbers and charts for whole day, you should be at least getting a breather once in a while.

I do not like working in an office with my suit on neither and I work at home freelancing but its still a lot better since I have a chance to do my job whenever I want, like it could be morning or evening but I get to choose when I will work, that is why I like it, day traders are not like that, those guys glue their face to the screen and check every single detail of every coin and then do moves according to that, its crazy and turns people into little machines.
5469  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Over the Counter (OTC) Cryptocurrency Trading - Explained in Details. on: June 15, 2019, 07:01:53 AM
What is the difference between Dex or P2P and OTC? I am not really familiar with the differences but in my country there are places called exchanges where you give them one currency and they give you another currency, like regular exchange but as a store instead of digital.

There you can give them bitcoin and they will give you any currency they have on their list, or vice versa where they give you bitcoin. So, I doubt that is considered OTC by your standards and called something else but I don't know why, over the counter is where you literally exchange bitcoins without digital exchange and no deposits or withdraws required, you just give one currency and they give another currency without involving a third party. If anyone explains the differences of OTC/P2P/DEX, that would be awesome.
5470  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Very frustrating on: June 14, 2019, 05:56:55 PM
It will happen in 25 of July in San Francisco in a place that is not disclosed so far, which means all of what we are saying right now are speculations and thinking that people are wrong to buy at this price is a bit disingenuous to say the least. I mean what happens if the lunch happens and warren buffett comes out of the gate and says he will buy some crypto including tron?

I know its unlikely but even he saying that he talked with Justin and he believes tron is a good project with strong legs and a good potential do you think people will not buy? I think this was right from the people to buy at those prices since after 25th there will be a lot of news reported all around the world about the richest investor in the world talking about a coin as a good thing.
5471  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Time for Binance DEX? on: June 14, 2019, 05:38:32 PM
So they have bnb as their currency and if they turn into dex than they will have to use bnb as the money you would get from the profits of it, like binance would make profit from listing new coins and trading fees etc etc and that profit would go to where exactly? BNB holders?

If that is the case as the biggest BNB holder they would make a lot of money but since their currency is open to public there would be a lot of people buying BNB and holding it trying to take away profits from binance as well.

If they somehow create another coin and only sell %50 or so to the public while claiming the rest as their own for the profits that is still giving way more than they are making right now. As long as a path for them to make as much as they are right now while turning into dex exchange is not available they will not do it.
5472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2018-2019 betting on: June 14, 2019, 03:46:58 PM
I still can't believe how great the raptors odds were, I mean you are talking about the NBA champions as of right now so I can look back and talk shit about the sportsbooks and I am super happy since I bet on raptors and won so I am not complaining at all, sportsbooks believed warriors will win this incredibly hard and didn't give a decent odd for warriors which made it super useless to bet on warriors since who would want to bet on warriors without Durant for low odds with that much risk and they would be right since raptors already won so we know they were right.

Raptors on the other hand, without Durant warriors looked beatable, put Klay not playing on the last quarter on top of that and they literally had a simple job after that even though it came down to last second. I thank all sportsbooks that give me these good odds for raptors, I know you guys lot a lot of money but I still like you Cheesy.
5473  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: June 14, 2019, 03:14:23 PM
First of all I do not remember who said that "warriors martingale" was a good idea, someone suggested that you can bet on warriors and anytime they lose you can double so you can end up winning more money, those people were wrong Cheesy.

I thankfully didn't do that because I knew that from watching the warriors blazers game it was obvious they lacked Durant. Think about a warriors squad that uses Iggy as their starting small forward at his age with that much pressure and he was super tired as well (which he actually played great on the final game but still not a Durant at all).

Warriors can be amazing with a proper small forward yet again but remember even before Durant they had Harrison Barnes and combining him with Iggy was always good, Iggy alone can't make that much difference. Curry without Klay was the problem too, Klay missed couple games I think and if he played on the last quarter they could have won this game too. Too many injuries to the star players decided the outcome basically.
5474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CWC2019 Prediction Pool - Win x BTC [Additional prize in every round] on: June 13, 2019, 05:24:59 PM
I was thinking they would atleast have 20 overs but nothing.
If time available after rain stops and outfield is good then most probably there would be plenty of chances for reduced overs based matches to find a winner of the day but there are lots of questions being raised against ground staff' plans and capabilities for making ground ready even after rain stops to have short format matches. I read England's practice against rain for protecting outfield is too poor and this is an obvious reason why we are not getting short matches too.

If you ask me, the only option to avoid this is to stage the world cup in countries such as the United Arab Emirates or Australia, where there is hardly any rainfall.  Grin
Must be a better option. But, ICC follows a rotation policy for hosting WC. So, next time it would be South Africa and we cannot have a random host just due to the reasons like unexpected rainfall.
5475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers needs to control their emotion! on: June 13, 2019, 04:15:32 PM
Australian died after his 13 hours gambling with nothing in his hands last.
13 hours gambling must be too much for anyone and I guess this is the reason where things went wrong and eventually claimed a life of a gambler. Frustrations and disaapointments are regular happening in everyday gambling and when we are not capable of handling them, it would be much better to stay away rather than keep trying to "take revenge".

Really sad, please do not get upset in gambling investment. Simple, take it as easy game not worthy than your life...
Gambling is just a way to lose hence it would never be an investment. Before getting familiar with gambling, it would be much better to know what are the possibilities, a gambler might face with gambling then it would be easier to accept all kind of results.
5476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CWC2019 Prediction Pool - Win x BTC [Additional prize in every round] on: June 13, 2019, 12:50:43 PM
Not sure about who are all going to get benefited due to abandoned matches. It seems that all ten teams may experience at least one abandoned match considering against the weather forecast for England and Wales for next few days.

Even at the end of round robin, if weather conditions will not be bringing any considerable impact, at least for gamblers it might have impacted in huge levels as I am a gambler and I could predict about test playing nation's results and their players scoring and wicket striking capabilities, but unfortunately I am forced to stay away as matches are called off without single ball bowled.

ICC must focus on reserve day policies for league stage matches too for gambler's stake Cool.
5477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: HAVE YOU EVER MET ANY SUCCESSFUL GAMBLER on: June 13, 2019, 11:30:24 AM
Is this implying there are people out there that take gambling so serious that it's considered as a career?

What happened to gambling for fun...?

Have I met a successful gambler,no I haven't but I have read stories of people winning big and on some threads here people have won lots of bitcoin from micro bets, guess this counts.
There is absolutely nothing wrong if gambling was played as a career and gamblers playing with all diligence. Gambling has been around and has been a means of people making money for centuries in different forms.

For instance, some people lost their properties to just a mere friendly game of poker in those days, so you can see that gambling for money didn’t start now. Its just that gambling is now more common on the internet but Its always prevalent and has grown.
The revenue made by gambling industries keeps growing yearly and it would be foolish for us as gamblers to continue playing for fun while the casino sites keep making more money.
5478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is blockchain gambling business beneficial? on: June 13, 2019, 11:02:33 AM
Crypto gambling business is one of the most profitable platforms in crypto world for both gambling site and players. It also brings a positive impact in the demand of cryptocurrency in the market. It's beneficial in blockchain technology in so many ways but we can't deny that there are also lapses at times.
So many advantages and lapses indeed. What do we expect online gambling is inherently unfair, the only reason casino earn  money now is when players lose more than they can win and gamblers like us cannot never trust them because we know they are the black box taking all our money, casino sites have that switch they use in turning odds in their favor, I know many do not believe this but it is the truth, many people like me have lost our trust in online gambling.

But blockchain has been able to buy back our trust not because it has made gambling a wonderland where there is guarantee to win always but because of how it helps store records of all games and bets, the amounts we won and the result, we now easily access transactions to be sure it was not manipulated and there should be a percentage going to blockchain for all these.
5479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Let me introduce "Ending Game" on: June 13, 2019, 10:44:49 AM
It would be totally random and wouldn't have any favorite odds which means it would usually be between people and the house wouldn't risk anything but that is only viable if the bets are almost wagered the same.

So, for example if there is one dollar bet on each than the house is in luck but if the winner bet gets more wagered whereas the others are not than how do you calculate the win? Do you take all other bets and give to winners according to their bet size taking your own house edge out of it? If that is the case the odds may not be as good as 1 to 70 or so and could be a lot smaller.
5480  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who are the strong candidates who will get this year's Ballon D'or trophy? on: June 13, 2019, 10:08:48 AM
Even though people are still looking beyond Ronaldo and Messi because they got eliminated and trying to find people who were in the finals of champions league I think we can still assume they had a very worthy season.

Ronaldo went to Juventus at his age (lets face it, he is aging) and still made that team a Serie A champions and went as far as what quarter finals? That is still a decent achievement considering there were few people on his team that could have done that and it was mostly Ronaldos achievement himself.
