5461  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to deal with greed whilst trading? on: May 23, 2019, 03:08:27 PM
Hello!

I'm doing alright trading, learning.
However - I spotted myself being very greedy earlier. I wanted a bigger position as I was confident of the direction of the market..
So I entered in at a lower spot, with a higher position - lowering my entry quite significantly.
I've actually done this twice in two days.

How do you deal with this particular emotion in trading?
I'm trying to be as mindful as possible - but i get really excited.. and start getting reckless.

I think I need to read some more books on trading psychology.
TG
It`s part of being a human to become emotional specially when it comes to money, we can`t control ourselves. What I can say is that you must set a goal that could satisfy you and when you achieve that amount, then call it a day, no more instinct or maybe maybe. Just stop when you achieved your desired amount.
This is a weakness that is common with so many human being which we cannot completely take away from them and no matter how much they try to control it personally, it will always find its way to them, We are all greedy but the only way we can really control our greed is first to decide to control it, after which it doesn’t end there, when it comes to trade.

There are so many tools that have been created to help control our greed like the stop loss tool and take profit tool which is what I have been using to control my greed. Anytime I enter my trade, I make sure that I set my stop loss tool and then my take profit, so I dint get to be tempted when I am directly watching the trade.
5462  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Novice trader analysis advice on: May 23, 2019, 07:11:06 AM
As for me, it would be hard for a beginner to focus on technical analysis. Try to do trading the simple and basic way of trading first before you apply any kind of analysis. Trying to trade with analysis might just confuse you in the beginning. Either Bitcoin and Ethereum is good for both short and long term investment.
The only way for him to trade without having to use technical analysis as a newbie is just for him to temporarily be an holder like many of us because trading has no other simple way to go about it other than studying charts and maybe 1 or 2 other technical strategies, except you just want him to be entry trade by just randomly assuming.

I have done this several times though but it is quite too risky, that is why I am always careful in making a guess trade, but for a newbie, he should be an holder first pending the time he learns how to read his charter and able to make a decisive trade that will not go wrong for him.
5463  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Question for more experience traders! on: May 22, 2019, 07:35:23 PM
For those who trade both crypto and stocks. Which market is more predictive and easier to trade?

I guess you mean predictable, not predictive. Grin
No market is 100% predictable, because if it really was predictable, all the traders will make profit and nobody will lose, which is an impossible situation.
Crypto is way easier to trade and kinda predictable(but not really),because of the price patterns and how all altcoind follow the price of bitcoin.
I think he is right, I know we are in crypto space and we are cryptocurrency lovers, but sentiment aside, stock trading is a whole lot more predictable than crypto trading.

You know that stock trading is being controlled by government, and there is no chance for a whale to do anything strange with a large fund, if an investor drop money in stock market more than he should, he will be arrested, so there is no fear of someone crashing the price at any time with large fund, which makes it easy to react to market fundamentals exactly the way it is being presented in the news.
5464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: End Of The Road To Cryptopia? After Loosing $16M To Hackers. on: May 22, 2019, 06:10:39 PM
I learnt that they have officially announced their liquidation, that is so sad of them, I guess what the hackers stole if far more than what they even declared for them to go down easily that way, because if they were that very big as they claim, why has Binance not dissolved too when what they stole form them is not even up to the half of what was stole from Binance.

I really winder what will happen to the funds of people after liquidating, will they refund other people’s money or what, because I have never really been in this situation and I really don’t know how they intend they go about this.
5465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP rises quickly! on: May 22, 2019, 05:02:08 PM
Everyone with their own opinion, ripple is truly given too much hyping for a coin that I term a centralized coin. What is the usefulness of ripple really to the community out there that it has to be compared to bitcoin.

I am so optimistic that very soon, there will be so many coins that will displace this banker’s coin from its position. Utility wise, it’s not performing well, investment wise, it is not performing well, and the only thing I would have seen the usefulness of ripple for is just to serve as stable coin, which is why they should just convert it to a stable coin.
5466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP buy now or wait for more dump ? on: May 22, 2019, 04:16:50 PM
Follow the news on XRP. Ripple responds very well to good news. If the market continues to grow then XRP will grow after the market. It would be nice to see the pump, as at the end of 2017.
One thing I have learnt a lot in this market is that, while everyone is going same direction, I should go the other way, which will definitely be the turn that subject matter will take. I can see that virtually everyone is saying something bullish about XRP lately.

I think it’s high time I sell my ripple because I can see a very big dump for this coin that is using hype to climb the success lather and not the product they have. It’s been long I have held ripple, and I have not much see any usefulness for them, utility wise, Bitcoin and ethereum is better, investment wise, bitcoin and ethereum is better.
5467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DO you think ICO websites help investors to choose best ICO to participate? on: May 22, 2019, 09:08:56 AM
I think this website is very helpful to decide and choose the best ICO to participate . Because it give information and description in different ICO that you want to participate so it is good to make you think or to understand to flow of what industry that you will entrering and learn some tips to avoid losss.
They are only goo to point you towards the direction of knowing which project is trending and what project to invest in, the only thing those ICO projects has been helpful to me for is that, I am able to get the gist on already concluded projects, upcoming projects and projects that are presents in, which makes it very easily for me to be in the loop

One thing I can’t completely rely on their rating to make my investment decision without first researching personally too on those projects, since they collect money to do some of those things and I learnt that majority of them even pay for reviews.
5468  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: trading bitcoin on: May 22, 2019, 08:36:40 AM
Before you start trading bitcoin ,it will be much better that you take some time to study the bitcoin trading and learn how it works . There are about three different types of trading I think  Roll Eyes and that is Direct Trading, Brokers and Trading platforms. These three are something different. Brokers are just the same with foreign exchange, while Direct trading is what you will see a lot of people in this forum refer to as P2P. Trading platforms are different from the first two I have mentioned, they connect traders and buyers and they collect a fee for it.

There is no sense to trade Bitcoin for a newbie, especially now, when its price is going up. It is better to spend some time more to learn the best strategies of trading, then - choose good altcoins, hold them a bit, and only after - trade.
I don’t really get you, isn’t this the time that traders are even advised to go into trading now that the market is become more  bullish, would he have traded in a bear market or you are confusing a trader to an ordinary investor?

Anyone can trade bitcoin at any time, and now that the market is becoming more volatile, there are lots of dip to buy from and lots of high to sell. He doesn’t need to abstain from the market, all he needs is just to learn thoroughly first and develop the strategy he will apply to his trading which is a necessity, once he can get all these things right, then he is very good to trade bitcoin at any time.
5469  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Idea needed for my situation on: May 21, 2019, 06:22:07 PM
I have around 5k+ USD worth of bitcoins and ethereum in my personal wallet. I have some financial commitments in next 2 months, so I want to utilize this money make it as something higher that amount I am holding.

I am planning to take that fund to binance and convert half of the bitcoins as USDT and half portion as BNB?
Will it be work bigger in some weeks or months? Then deposit and withdraw are suspended on Binance, so which exchange will be I need to choose to do the same idea above!

Please give me the best suggestion which you feel good for my situation.
At what price have you got bitcoins and etherum  worth $5000+? If you were able to buy bitcoins under $5000 and etherum below $150 then their is no need for you to convert your coins in any other coins to maximize your profits but instead you can continue holding bitcoins and etherum on your wallet until the price is multiplies twice.

For example, if you bought bitcoins at $5000 then wait for them to reach $10,000. In this way you could at least double your capital and also the prices are quickly moving up as we can see from the graphs so you can surely have great profits if you continue holding bitcoins or etherum.
I am 100% in support of your advice. What he has is what many people is hoping they have access to now for them to invest in bitcoin, especially now that we are already in the Bull run of bitcoin and the next 2 months of holding bitcoin will really have a very big increase.

I understand he has his commitment in 2 months, but it is better he leaves his fund in a market we can all attest to its increase within the next 2 months, than other markets that doesn’t have any guarantee of coming out of their dip till we see a proper bull which might take another 1 more year before they can increase the way bitcoin is increasing now.
5470  Economy / Speculation / Re: Taking profits but don't be afraid! on: May 21, 2019, 04:50:48 PM
I wake up this morning and when I tried to refresh my wallet, I findout that bitcoin has lose over $700 from it high of yesterday! Immediately,  "this thought come into my mind, don't be afraid,  it is taking profits time", new confident come into my mind and I developed another hope that bitcoin is far strong now,  better and menture now than in 2017. I will like to encourage us to keep holding and buying more at this time as bitcoin is on the way to the moon! Though, "this is not a recommendations for you to make investments decision"!

Like that disclaimer. Because we're here only to speculate and not forced or suggest someone to make an investment. It is depend on each person's research and analysis by themself. Bitcoin maybe still on correction and it might be recover again.
What happened to bitcoin recently is not a strange thing to me as I expected it to happen exactly the way it did, so I am not afraid of the event because I am sure that bitcoin will recover again, that is why I don’t listen to much of people’s opinion, we all have our investment decision to make and it is better we are responsible for the outcome of our decision rather than making another person responsible for it.

I have made my decision to be a long term holder, and no matter the dip or increase I see now, it won’t really move me to taking any action until the bull run gets to its peak which should be the time we will see this new ATH.
5471  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin on the way to $10,000 on: May 21, 2019, 12:35:02 PM

This is a chance to us since we see a dump price again, which we can buy more bitcoin to be not left behind in this coming bull run. Its a chance to us let’s just buy more bitcoins and hodl it till bull run.
if you plan to buy at deep prices, I think it's time. I am sure, tomorrow the price of bitcoin will rise again. if you need to use bitcoin, and wait for a good price, I think it's good enough now. I just feel that the price of bitcoin will not drop below $ 7000, and after this decline, the price of bitcoin will continue to rise up to $ 10000.
Buying now is the right place and right time, still nothing happening we at $7100 mark and it’s letting us to buy more bitcoin before bullrun happens.
Yes, if you see many people advise that we always buy at dip, this is the opportunity that has been giving to those who wishes to buy at dip to do so, because from this dip, we may never be able to imagine what the price of bitcoin will shoot to, and once we miss this dip, we have to wait for another one which may never be at this price again.

I am sure that within the next 2 weeks, this phase of correction will be over and we will be seeing anther speedy uptrend in the value of bitcoin, before we can see another dip to buy again maybe when the price of bitcoin gets to $10k and we have $9k correction.
5472  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where's FOMO at? Tom Lee on: May 21, 2019, 11:20:33 AM
I am with this guy, I am also bullish so I believe that in $10,000 we will see a FOMO.
The question now is when it's going to happen, could it be in the first half or the next half? regardless, the bull run before only take over 1 month to reach ATH.
I am sure that this price won’t become reality until the Q3 of the year, it would have been very possible if we are to rely on the momentum bitcoin has been gathering to break barriers for the past one month, but because of the pull back that will always be present at every barrier, it makes it impossible to have a full stretch momentum without a pullback which I still feel it is quite healthy for the market.

So, with this slow and gradual increase in price of bitcoin, we might get round September before we successfully break the barrier of $10k that I also believe will cause panic buy for people.
5473  Economy / Speculation / Re: How are bitcoin and alt price charts connected? on: May 21, 2019, 09:02:02 AM
This is also still a misery to me and your write up has typically expressed my mind completely about the situation. Most of us just see altcoins move along with bitcoin, and most especially altcoins at the top marketcap, but we have not really wondered the relationship between them. Some even believe that people sell altcoins during bitcoin bull to buy bitcoin, but if they do, alts are meant to dump, but instead, they are pumping.

The only explanation I could just get for this is that when people see that bitcoin has started performing, they quickly join the train so they don’t miss out and in the process of doing so, they also feel like diversifying, which their focus will be on coin at the top market since they are still the only alts that are following bitcoin run for now.
5474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [HELP] distribution of tokens on: May 21, 2019, 08:22:36 AM
what is the most interesting and safe way to distribute token example (erc20) so that it does not have high dumping in exchange?
You run an ICO/bounty? the latest rule that I've read is about the delay to bounty participants.
The investors is a total exception and they can dump after the distribution whenever the token gets listed to an exchange.
While the bounty participants, they are only allowed to transfer or sell after a certain period of time probably after 3-6 months.
You see, anytime a project developer points accusation finger to hunters of causing dumping, it makes me first see the team behind the project as an unreasonable people which make me first judge their projects as one that would fail in future, because if they have the ability to reason far.

Most of them will realize that what they pay to hunter will be impossible to cause dump even if all the participants sell. It is just like recently that Binance lost 7000BTC and people thought it will cause dump for BTC, but in the real life, if you calculate it and compare the ratio to the total market cap of bitcoin, we will see It won’t go far in causing a dump, same as allocations for hunters are so insignificant compared to the bonuses they give to investors which is what they need to cut down.
5475  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain is giving everyone 25$ worth Stellar coins for free on: May 21, 2019, 07:52:15 AM
Free coin? And you only need is to sign up and register. Sounds good right?I am already a victim of that kind of scam. So be careful in giving your personal information in return of free coin. Make sure that you did not give your personal information like password or private key. Always think your security before dealing to any promo like this.
I have seen the news several times and it is simply just a way of gathering people’s information which I am not too comfortable with, because what would they stand to gain for just giving out $25 for free for a KYC if they will not really benefit something greater through the information they have gathered.

I know the greedy ones will definitely sell their information out without asking what the information being gathered will be used for, anyway, they can keep their money to themselves, I won’t sell my information out until they really give a clear picture of what they really intend using those info for.
5476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Phoneix BTCP on: May 21, 2019, 07:20:26 AM
I think you are getting me so confused now because I don't understand what you are trying to talk about, are you saying that there was a coin that was supposed to fork out of bitcoin but didn't anymore due to some issues in the market or are you saying that you want to start up a project, all I could see here is parables that cannot be read, maybe it's just me though, let me hear others opinion.
I think indirectly, the project he is hammering on is obviously going to be a fork which I really don’t see any much sense in it, and I don’t think this project is associated to the normal phoenix exchange because I can’t also see any link to them in his parable messages.

If he believes that other forks of bitcoin are just imitation of bitcoin and they are not performing unto standard or even strong enough to compete with bitcoin, why does he have to bring out another fork again? What is the point in always trying to copy bitcoin when they all know that people will always recognize bitcoin even if he claims the coin will not be little bitcoin.

I see him just trying to brainwash bitcoin believers into believing the BTCP isn’t coming to competing with BTC, meanwhile, it’s trying to do exactly what others knows how to do best.
5477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: May 17, 2019, 05:07:48 PM
Do you really think they will need Durant from now on? I mean they are 2-0 ahead right now, there is technically 5 games left at most, even if it goes to 4-3 which I doubt it will. So that means warriors only need to win 2 more games in the next possible 5 games, I am pretty sure they can manage to do that without Durant. However, the question is if you do not Durant now and rest him to get better, how well will he be in the finals after so much rest ?

Well, I think he is Durant and nothing could go wrong, he is the best scorer in the league right now and he can do whatever he wants even at his worst he is better than iggy and if he feels tired you can bench him whenever you want. I am voting for keeping Durant resting for the remainder of this series and we will see about how it goes when finals come.
5478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can I spend the daily expense by playing gambling? on: May 17, 2019, 04:41:19 PM
Most people who tried to risk their budget on their daily expenses to gambling will suffer the consequences.
They are simply not doing gambling for fun anymore, they are doing it on desperation to make money which will likely result to bigger problem.
This people are guided by their wrong perception in gambling, so they will live a miserable life.
How can a desperate gambler play for fun that is impossible? They are those ones that want quick money from gambling and do not mind doing it at their own detriment. I sometimes ask myself questions like, people with mindset of gambling for money, is it just that there are no other ways to get money or they are just confident that it is easier to get it from gambling? Why would one make a decision that has the possibility of destroying one’s life?

Well might be easy to get money from gambling on daily basis when a player is well skilled but it is wrong to depend on it for daily expenses to avoid desperation that can lead to addiction.
Some people can spend all day on gambling even when they are playing for fun, this attitude is the major cause of addiction. Last year I met a friend at the casino center and everyone around knew him to be very popular around there. I learnt he wakes up and leaves when it is about time to go to bed and within that year he was lucky to win a huge money but because of his uncontrollable gambling attitude, he ended up playing again with the money and lost it all.

It is good to learn how to gamble and the right ways so that we won’t make mistakes that can destroy us. But to spend daily expenses from gambling is totally impossible.
5479  Economy / Speculation / Re: How far bitcoin will it go this time and why? on: May 16, 2019, 06:10:48 PM
I think bitcoin will go very far like 2017. For the $10,000 before end of this year? I think as soon as possible this value will reach only need some weeks or 1-2 months and maybe the bitcoin reach $10,000 . This time the price rising and we hope it won't stop.  We are near to the $10,000 and I believe it will reach that again and time to recover bitcoin and all altcoins.

While there’re endless possibilities where bitcoins prices will end up, I feel we shall see $10k levels by June end. Then i believe the ultimate bull rally should kick off, and we will be able to reach $18k by the year end. Also is there anyone here who’s reading the charts to find clues regarding bitcoin price levels, if so kindly share your readings here.
Some stated that we'll reach $8000 by June and now we've crossed $8000 which gives with the assurance of reaching $10000 or even higher by the month of June. I too have a belief that we'll reach a higher price than the last all time high value by end of the year. As experts predicted from the Golden Cross the growth keeps going.
Many investors including me are seriously eager to see bitcoin see the last ATH of 2018 soon and even see it break the barrier, but what I am thinking is that it may not be fully possible until next year. For me, the highest market capitalization I see bitcoin growing to is about 500 million dollars this year, that is like double of what it is presently, which takes us to around $15,000.

This should be healthier and more realistic; the reason why I wouldn’t want to see the last ATH this year is for bitcoin to carry this development over to next year.

If you check the data of those that bought during the last ATH, the record is so high that if bitcoin sets its foot on that ATH now, it may damage the market as a lot of them are really targeting that value for them to pull their fund out, but by next year, we would have seen other fundamentals that will be ready to counter or balance any move by these people to dump hard on investors.
5480  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin rises very fast! on: May 16, 2019, 03:31:41 PM
According to your analysis, what causes the price of bitcoin to continue to rise for now? Then what will you do, when you look at market conditions that continue to improve and also the price growth that sharply increases. Share your opinion here and let's discuss it. Thank you so much..

The bulls are aggressive this month most especially this week. Maybe a lot of people are now turning its face on bitcoin again. We are still not sure on the cause but its more important that we should think about earning resources than finding whats happenning. Let just take this opportunity to earn bigger with the bulls.
This makes surprise to many that bitcoin price are increasing. As others says investors had a trust on bitcoin again. Exactly an opportunity for us and for those who did not have btc so acquire more to earn big.
Now that the market is very impressive, I think the best opportunity for us who are already holder is to encourage those who are the holders of bitcoin to start investing.

The little job we might need to just do is to all collectively create the hype for it by spreading all these positives news, so that many of the investors that has left the market during the last bear might come back and large industries can make haste into pumping big money to grasp from these green market. Some of us have already had enough investment and we are already at the peak, so we just need new investors now in this fast rising bitcoin.
