I am just hating this world cup now. How many more matches will be abandoned due to rains. I've never seen this earlier while in less than 2 weeks already 4 matches abandoned. I was thinking they would atleast have 20 overs but nothing.

Freebitco.in is where i saw big odds for no result and draw, initially the odds were 84x for no result and since then i was keen on waging on that since it was evident that the match will be abandoned without a ball being bowled, but since many of the matches are abandoned now today's odds i got was 2.94x which is still decent and with the match being abandoned now, i won that without much sweat and i have won the last few days of no result bets  .

I've actually just contacted our sportsbook team to check the possibility of us adding a 'no result' market for CWC games given the forecast for the next week or so.

Hopefully if it happens (no promises!) I'll be able to report better odds than our competitors

When the pitch was not fit then there is no way to bowl any ball on it,if it happens players will hurt themselves due to the wet ground.

The problem is ICC chose bad season to conduct the most wanted cricket trophy.

Summer season is not normally this much wet in England. This year it was unusually wet, and a record number of flood warnings were issued all across the United Kingdom. So we can't really blame the ICC. If you ask me, the only option to avoid this is to stage the world cup in countries such as the United Arab Emirates or Australia, where there is hardly any rainfall.

If time available after rain stops and outfield is good then most probably there would be plenty of chances for reduced overs based matches to find a winner of the day but there are lots of questions being raised against ground staff' plans and capabilities for making ground ready even after rain stops to have short format matches. I read England's practice against rain for protecting outfield is too poor and this is an obvious reason why we are not getting short matches too.

If you ask me, the only option to avoid this is to stage the world cup in countries such as the United Arab Emirates or Australia, where there is hardly any rainfall.  

Must be a better option. But, ICC follows a rotation policy for hosting WC. So, next time it would be South Africa and we cannot have a random host just due to the reasons like unexpected rainfall.

But they can get the weather forecast reports months ago in the technology evolved days so they might postponed the tournament.But what we can do is pray for the remaining matches to be played as planned,if there is more abandoned matches then it will not be much fun to watch the result of the tournament.

Hmm,  if atlast 20 overs match we can see that would be better than nothing. ICC should thinking about the whether  of England before starting this world Cup or should take a Reserve day for all matches.😀😀

They are getting ready for a T20 match and I'm not at all positive about it

It is still raining in Nottingham and the match will be called off in about 5 minutes from now. I feel bad for the TV broadcasters who paid a fortune for the rights. But they should have exerted more pressure on the ICC to allocate reserve days, than whining about it now. I am worried about the India vs Pakistan match as well. What will happen in case that one also gets washed out?

Rains have played spoilsport once again in this tournament, and there’s absolutely nothing we can do about it. ICC has already clarified why it’s not possible to have reserve days and it makes sense to me, as there’s no guarantee of rains not turning up on reserve day. India vs Pakistan is another match which will be washed out if you look at the weather report, all one can do at this stage is pray that it doesn’t rain on Sunday.

I'm not sure what ICC were thinking, How can they choose the tournament to take place between May 30 and July 14 with an expectation of not being disturbed by rain ? That must have been a joke, there is no way they weren't expecting rain to be an issue, yet they didn't make any preparations whatsoever for a plan B.

It would be a great addition if you could add that option in your sports book, you are one of the sports book that i lost a huge amount of coins dealing with silly bets in the past, the biggest loss was around 8BTC for a 1.04 odds a few years back   and your sports book was one of the go to sports book when ever i gamble with bitcoin, i shifted when you revamped your spots book a couple of years back i guess. No result market would be a great addition for a legit sport book like yours.

If WI can play patiently for first 30 overs with wickets in hand then they has the chance to win this game because we all know how far the WI batsman can hit the ball at later of innings at any cricket format.

I am siding for England for a comfortable win but it will be dangerous for them if they let WI openers to stay long in the pitch.

I hope nothing is serious for him.

This Gayle and Hope partnership is very important for WI. I think if England can restrict WI in under 300 runs then they will win easily. England's batting is deep enough to chase even 350+ runs but surely no one wants to take that risk.

Well he is gone. He could not capitalized the chance he had. Poor Russell. He needs to understand that this is not T20. There are plenty of overs left to hit the ball like crazy. May be he needs some coaching from Dhoni.

Once again their batting line up proving that 20-20 mind set is not good strategy for 50-50 world cup. it can work in 1-2 games but for longer run, its deadly choice. Windies need to changed their strategy for upcoming matches if they really want to secure their place in top 4 teams.

They can still reach 270+ score but for this they need to play decent cricket or at least stay on the crease. still 11-12 overs left in first inning.
