You only have to worry about power if you need to have multi-link connection, where one point is in the middle of no where, but really these antennas require very little power, 2*100amh batteries and 2 solar panels will suffice in most cases, and those don't cost much, so power isn't really a concern, topography is,but as i mentioned in my previous post, if you are lucky,topography could make your life easier instead, this a good simulation application provided by Ubnt, you need to have much knowledge, just drag and drop https://link.ui.com/.

Unless you go around or above that small hill there is no current technology that would allow penetration of a hill, you can search online for point-to-point simulator/calculator , not so accurate but they give you a clue.

If the hill is relatively high, then building a large tower or placing a AP on top of the tall building will be the only way, if that is not an option you will need multilink to go around  the hill.


But they said earth is flat!! Lol kidding,  curvature is nearly irrelevant in small scales, now this depends on the topographical relief , theoretically earth curvature is  10cm per 1km iirc,  so in 100km a curvature of 1000cm is to be expected but that assumes the land itself is completely flat, which is never the case, I am sure we did 80-100km with towers less than 100 meters high, so it really depends.

Nothing else except for the obvious pool results, if your miner is compromised then your daily/weekly average hashrate will be less than that reported on the miner, there are of course other things that might cause this issue to happen such as bad internet connection, overclocking that causes hardware errors and so, but aside from that i am not aware of any other method.

well you can also monitor your network traffic and look for any unknown packet transfer, but if happens that you and the hacker use the same pool, then that would be useless.

as for the firmware, you should never use any firmware that does not come from the manufacturer, open-source firmware such Braiins might be of an exception.

I have seen this virus before, I don't recall the exact wallet address but I am sure that the second pool was Nicehash (Japan)  , I have fixed this issue , although I don't know the cause, but here is what I did to fix it once and for all.


1-Get a new laptop/pc which has never been on the same LAN ( doesn't have to be brad new, it has to be new to the LAN)
2-Disconnect every miner, keep 1 miner only ( you need to fix them one at the time)
3-Reset the miner using the IP report button method ( make sure you do it right)
4-Immediately and right after the miner's IP shows up, change the password with a very complex one

now this step needs a bit of preparation, in order to do it the right way, I suggest the following

a-Alter your DHCP setting on the router to allow only 1 IP address, so that you always know the IP the miner is going to take
b-Type the URL in advanced http://192.168.X.X/administration.html   (depending on the IP your miner is going to use)
c-Right after the miner turns on , refresh the page, as soon as it shows up, change the password)

5-Flash the latest firmware afterwards.


**Make sure you follow these steps , it should work , if everything goes fine, you need to learn how to protect your miners in the future.

I don't know about the rest of the world, but where I live, in remote places , you can hardly get any internet connection , people there go for satellite internet, but if price and latency is an issue, we usually set up point-to-point connections for them.

In fact in many cases it's cheaper to buy cheap Ubiquitti airfiber equipment such as the af-2x which goes for about 500$ each , which can do up to 200km depending on the line of sight, and you can still get over 100mbsp in ranges above 50km easily, as long as you don't have to lower the frequency to penetrate any obstacles on the way.

in other words, let's say you live at location (A) or have any friend's or family whom you can borrow a 50 square cm on their roof (and of course some of their internet bandwidth) , and your farm is is at location (B) which is 100km away, if you have a bit of networking skills and can do the work alone, you end up feeding your farm with 50-100mbsp connection at very cheap cost, and in the course of a few months you would have ROIed the equipment investments compared to how much you have to pay for a shitty and expensive connection.

When I used to do this type of work, we went to the extent of renting people's roof's to be able to go as far as 500-1000km , but that won't be easy to do if you don't have the right skills and team, interference and frequency regulations might get in the way, but if the distance is not that huge, and you have a line of sight, it's really not a bad idea at all.

I believe the heatsinks on these S9Es are fairly larger than the rest, i removed one of the fans and was able to see the size of the heatsinks, i forgot to take a picture i will do so when i go there again, also i noticed that there is a grill between the fans and the hashboards, it is nothing like the other S9s where you can touch the boards once the intake fan is removed, not sure if that is a good idea but they must have done it for a reason.

They also have a grill attached to the exausht fan which is a bit strange!

100KiloBytes / 0.3 = 333 miners
300KiloBtyes/  0.6 = 500 miners

Which means, 200 miners would work just fine.

if however op has 100Kilobits then maximum of 62 miners can fit in safely.

اتمنى ان تقوم بانشاء موضوع بخصوص الطريقة المتبعة , لديا بعض الرموز التي لم اقم بتخزينها , في اخر مرة حاولت اتباع طريقة كانت معقدة وتحتاج للوقت وانا افضل الطرق السريعة والسهلة  , يسكون من الجيد استرجاع كل الاكواد الخاصة بي وحفظها في مكان امن , وعلى الارجح اني سأقوم باستعمال برنامج Authy لكي لا اعاني من نفس المشكلة في المتسقبل, الشي الوحيد المقلق حيال برنامج ِِ Authy هوا موضوع ال cloud backup , فهوا فعلا يتيح لك الاحتفاظ بالرموز بسهولة ولكنه يفتح عدة ابواب للهاكرز حتى ان لم يفلح احد في اختراقه حتى اللحظة فقد نسمع باختراقات في المستقبل القريب.

Not really any difference in terms of fans RPM , S9k does 5880 and 5670 , while the S9E does 5280 and 5640 , in fact the fans on the S9k run on higher rpms, both are set to 90% static speed.

You are right about them having the same number of the chips, I doubt they are the same chips tho, or it could be, but the S9E is a larger in size , the hash boards on it seem taller ,maybe they have bigger heat sinks on the same chips that's why they run cooler?

This makes a lot of sense, but then if they were the same exact chips, souldn't the S9E run hotter than the S9K? Since they both have the same number of chips but the S9E runs on higher frequency, despite it being undervolted or not, what are the chances that it would run cooler??

مما يعني انه هده الاداة مصممة خصيصا لاسترجاع كلمة سر المحفظة التي تقوم بتحميلها على جهاز الكومبيوتر الخاص بك , ولنكون اكثر دقة فانت تحتاج لمعرفة جزء من كلمة السر لتقوم الاداة بمساعدتك في استرجاح كلمة السر, ولكن بطبيعتها في عبارة عن اداة brute force ولكنها ليست عشوائية , ولكن ببعض التعديل يمكن ان تستعملها في استعادة اي كلمة سر, ولكن المشكلة ستكون التأكد من صحة النتيجة.

مثلا في حال استعمالها لاستعادة المحفظة, فانت تقوم بتوجيها لملف المحفظة, فتقوم الاداة بمحاولة فتح المحفظة وعندما تجد كلمة السر الصحيحة تخبرك بذلك, ولكن في حال استعتلمها لايجاد كلمة سر ايميلك فهيا لن تتمكن من تجربة الدخول لايميلك للتحقق من صحة الباسورد, مما يعني انها عديمة الفائدة في اي نطاق خارج عن استعادة محفظة لديك ملفاتها في حاسبوك.

Not sure I quite understand the question, but here is the set up , I have 4 wires coming in , 1N and 3L , when you measure the voltage between two phases you get 380v, between any phase and neutral you get 220v, so I pull 220v from phase to neutral,i hope this answers your question !!

Yes the S9Es are still running good and cooler than the rest , I do have S9k as well, it has been running just fine, the performance is pretty close to the S9j and S9i , however I heard only bad things about them, someone claimed that bitmain collected all the shitty boards left from the old S9 and put them there, another person said the gear was dead in less than a month.

I can not verify all of these info i read on telegram groups, but i see no reason why would anyone lie about such a thing, also they sell for a bit cheap and they don't go out of stock, they seem suspicious to say the least.
