You might get more people looking at your ad if you posted it in computer hardware that's where most people place their (wts) threads for miners and where most people looking for them go to.  Good luck on your sale.

Manny Pacquiao just signed the Paradigm SM, a combat sport agency  which has also represents Conor McGregor. I guess we are closing the gap for this fight to happen. Because the negotiation will not going to be complicated since they're both under the same agency now.

This is more hype than It will be substances.  Both are professionals at their own sport.  It's like lebron james trying to play professional football.  It might get some hype but once it comes down to it he really doesnt have a shot.  If it becomes an AMA fight conner will wreck manny.  If it is a straight boxing match , manny will wreck him.  Pretty boringly too

But for me that result is important. Connor is saying that he hit Mayweather many times than Pacquiao did in their last match. In short he is saying that he is better than Pacquiao, and if this happens and we see the results, we could create a conclusion whose really close in defeating the undefeated champion. For me this is just a bridge to what will be the defeat or the down fall of the pretty boy.

It's more an exhibition.  If someone from one sports tries to fight a top level person in another sport it doesnt mean one person is better than the other in their own respective sport.  It's not even close who is better at boxing between pac and conner, conner isnt even a professional boxer.  He just makes noise and turns that into money from people wanting to watch him.  This would be a silly exhibition at best.

so basically this is line TEAM LUKA vs TEAM TRAE. which team do you like here?

I am with Luka in this.  Grin

I really though RJ Barrett was born in USA. So he is from Canada.  Cheesy
First time I dig for that kid about his background but I do followed him in college.
He is one of the great guys in Duke but it is just that Zion was also in the same team.
But I still have the high hopes for him. Somewhere in maybe 2 to 3 years he will bloom and his name will be popular to everyone.

Then there is Brandon Clarke which is also Canadian.

RJ Barrett was the Canadian highschool player of the year when he came out of high school and into duke.  He was mocked as the #1 pick by everyone prior to the college season.  Zion was supposed to be good but no one thought he was going to be that good.  That all changed in the preseason Hawaii tourney where he wrecked everyone.  That's when the legend of zion started.  If RJ went to any other college he would be just as well known he was just always second fiddle news to zion though

I still can't believe that on his 17th season in the league and when people on his draft all retired or just playing lesser minutes for bench time, Lebron is still playing and leading the league in assists. Dude has over 25 points per game avarages and also has over 10 assists per game, that is seriously amazing considering his age and how well he has played for so long. He reached to conference finals and even finals during his fist stint at Clevland at 2007!!

We all know he went on to win multiple championships and had a record breaking finals at our era and now after all of that, after 13 seasons from his first finals, he is still playing so well that they may or may not see the finals again but he surely does everything in his power to go to finals yet again.

Yeah I agree, I remember watching him when he first entered the league, seems like forever ago.  Dude has been killing it for almost 2 decades and hasn't lost a step.  It will be a long time i think before someone does it as consistently as he does for so long.

Either way 1 game is one game I wouldn't make too much of it other than the nuggets are one of the top teams with the lakers, clips etc.

it's already twice that the Lakers beat the Nuggets, the last one was one December 3, 2019 in the same venue.
https://www.landofbasketball.com/head_to_head_gl/lakers_vs_nuggets_game_log_season.htm

while we can't say that Lakers dominated them as NUggets also beat the Lakers on the road but unfortunately I am not convince they are good enough as no Lebron james that time.

https://www.landofbasketball.com/box_scores/2019/1222DENLAL.htm

Lakers by no means dominated the game.  They have equally beat impressive teams on the road.  How about the nuggets beating the bucks on the road?  Season is a marathon and you cant say oh they beat them by a bucket in the regular season in feb so come may when they meet in the playoffs nuggets will lose.  Health is a big factor always that we dont know about yet so lots of season to go.  Both look decidedly good enough to go to the finals

I was referring to the number of games they have played so far this season, and it's pretty clear that Lakers dominated them since they are 2-1 against the Nuggets, and the fact that Nuggets only won because Lebron was not playing that time, that tells me Lakers could have won if lebron is there because it's their homecourt.

You must have not watched the game the lakers didnt dominate the nuggets.  If jokic shot that 3 pointer at the end vs hesitating and ending up turning the ball over it's a different ending.  It went right down to the end that isnt "dominating".

~snip~

Because the risk in futures for crypto is very risky whether a lot of money or not it's a risky prop.  If there werent risk in it there wouldn't be a possibility for profit.  Puts and calls in a more stable environment like the stock market is risky...months in crypto markets are like decades.  Pissing in the wind hopefully the right way
Exactly, Volatility helps you enhance profits or safeguard your assets. If you are uncertain about short term, but are bullish on the long term. You could try Options for a duration up to 6 months(at the moment).

I guess, I dont like to bet on crypto futures.  It definately has its place in investments it's just not a blanket safeguard for everyone though.  It helps to understand how puts and calls work from the get go, it's more advanced than just regular trading.
5468  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why not use call Options in a bull market? on: February 14, 2020, 01:34:37 AM
If you think that prices will move up, and you want to trade 1 BTC worth of value but do not have 1 BTC, you can buy a Call option and profit from Bitcoin’s volatility.

Why buy Call?

Unlike spot trading which requires full collateral, buying a Call option allows you to participate in the movement of an underlying asset for a relatively small price (Premium Payable) while enjoying leveraged returns.

Here’s a scenario:
  • You are bullish on BTC and expect it to trade above $11,000 on 6th March 2020
  • You can buy a Call for 1 BTC with Strike Price at $11,000, Settlement Date on 6th March 2020
  • The cost for making this position will be 238.25 SP$ (Premium Payable)

How do I profit?
  • In order to profit from your buy Call, BTC will have to trade above your Breakeven Price at Settlement Date
  • Breakeven Price is calculated as [Strike Price + Premium Payable]
  • In this scenario, Breakeven Price will be $11,238.25 (11,000 + 238.25)
  • The higher BTC trades above your Breakeven Price at $11,238.25, the greater your profit. Technically, your profit is unlimited
  • However, if BTC trades below $11,238.25, your maximum loss will be limited to your Premium Payable (238.25 SP$), even if BTC goes to $0

Because the risk in futures for crypto is very risky whether a lot of money or not it's a risky prop.  If there werent risk in it there wouldn't be a possibility for profit.  Puts and calls in a more stable environment like the stock market is risky...months in crypto markets are like decades.  Pissing in the wind hopefully the right way
5469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA All Star MVP betting odds. on: February 14, 2020, 01:29:23 AM
My guess would be Giannis, he plays the all star games like he does the regular season, some guys soften up in the game but not him.  With the team he put around himself I think he has a chance to at least lead the game in shots taken.  And with the poor defense that is played in these games I can see 10 plus dunks for him.  30 plus points is possible and if they win he might be the easy pick to win.

NO doubt he can make that figure during the all star game, but isn't it they are picking the winner from the winning team?
I am not sure with the new rule but usually MVP are coming from the winning team and I think Lebron team is full of MVPs on their own compared to Giannis team... what do you think about that?

For sure unless someone has a rediculous game the mvp comes from the winner.  And most of the time it's someone who won them the game.  If it's close at the end you can be sure that Giannis is going to get some touches with a chance to do something special.  And yes lebron's team has more guys on it who could end up taking over the game where Giannis team clearly he is top dog.

Those betting on Clippers and Celtics game, Jaylen Brown is out.
https://twitter.com/ByJayKing/status/1228102696357507072

Yes he is out but it seems the line does not change, so probably people think Celtics can win without him.

Nice to see people here have different opinion regarding this game, as for me, I would take the Boston to win. GL guys!

Games right before the all star break are tough to bet since most teams start pumping the breaks knowing the break is coming.  I tend to steer away from these games because outcomes arent as typical as normal games.

But if you stay away from this game, so you are going to bet the other game knowing that we only have 2 games tonight?
I think both games are really fun to watch but this one is sure better since both are playoff teams (for sure), and we will see how they play each other.

For the bettors side, of course you'll look at a different way and IMO, either team could win in this game, but we need to choose one.

Nah I dont like to touch games around the all star breaks.  Some guys are already coasting and might pack it up mentally for a game.  I've seen odd lopsided games right before and after the breaks.  Feels like a crapshoot so I stay away.  Good luck to you though

Richest 2000 People richer then the poorest 4.6 billion.
Richest 26 persons richer then 3.8 billion people.

Today I read this in the newspaper that Oxfam Novib calculated this in their report called time to care about economic inequality.
Especially women in underdeveloped country's are stuck in poverty and can't get out.

We all know this has been going on for years but it is pretty shocking to see the enormous difference in these numbers.
It is also hard to comprehend that most concentrated part of the wealth is hold bye a small club of men.

How do you think this is devided with Bitcoin we can all just see the top richest wallets in Bitcoin, but do you think Bitcoin is more fair devided then the current money system?
What would be the most fair way of dividing a cryptocurrency so the whole world is actually part of it and gets wealth?

Unfortunately that is not how and what cryptocurrency was created for.  It was not meant to be a socialistic tool to even everyone in the world out.  What it gave is the ability to be their own banks and bank more freely.  Equality is not in the cards when crypto is bought and sold in an open market
5474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2019-2020 betting on: February 14, 2020, 12:20:47 AM
I for once got a little lucky yesterday as SAC scored 7 points in the final 48 seconds of what it was already decided game against the Mavs.
I had their total over 107.5 (final result 111:130). The funny thing is all points were scored by Justin James, a rookie who got to play only 2 minutes last night.  Grin

My bet for today is U 234.5 on OKC v Pelicans
gl everyone!

Good luck that is a pretty high total.  I start getting scared when over unders start going over the 230 point line.  As long as I dont bet the over you should be fine lol.  I've had a bad string of over under lately.
5475  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are altcoins so fragile compared to Bitcoin? on: February 14, 2020, 12:16:29 AM
Hi friends:
What is the reason for the large fluctuations of altcoins in your view? Why are altcoins so fragile compared to Bitcoin and fluctuating with the smallest news? Of course, I mean the altcoins that have good ideas, professional support,... not the shitcoins.

Real easy answer, liquidity and volume.  Also in most altcoins the top holders usually own a lot so one person can move the market which isnt as easy with bitcoin anymore.  You could dump $1mil worth of bitcoin in the market at market price and you wouldn't even make a dent in overall price.  Now pick any other coin and do that...you start to see why alt markets are heavily manipulated.
5476  Economy / Speculation / Re: should I buy now? on: February 14, 2020, 12:08:51 AM
Always a good time to consistenly buy.  I am in the mindset that always cost averaging in crypto protects both your downside and you missing a quick spike.  The only downside is if you see an ever growing sell off you will just be catching all the knives.  Dont think that is the case so maybe dont go all in now but periodically put buys in.
5477  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin won't surge past 11k, your thoughts... on: February 14, 2020, 12:06:34 AM
Bitcoins all time high of this year is all set to stop according to the indication, there was a massive pump from the last week which crossed $800 in a week was really amazing from BTC. Here I will share a link where it clearly shows that BTC won't go beyond 11k. Guys kindly share your thoughts.
https://www.newsbtc.com/2020/02/13/bitcoin-wont-surge-past-11k-just-yet/amp/

Bitcoin in one day can certainly go over 11k on a rush the question would be if it can sustain over 11k.  Each thousand dollar increment is going to have its challenges staying over.  First you have people from 2017 that will start to be able to break even, then you have the people who bought in the 4-6k range recently and will be taking profits out as well.  The 10k-20k range is going to be a struggle I would imagine.

This kind of meeting is a plus to the blockchain space. Warren Buffett has not been welcoming the crypto and blockchain idea, hope after this gathering, he will know the revolution behind blockchain and how it stands to benefit all.

This was not a warren buffet is changing his mind on crypto meeting.  If you read anything about warren Buffett you know that if you cant tangibly see value in something (like earnings, etc) than he isnt interested in speculating in it.  At this point in his life I'm sure he isnt going to all of the sudden pivot away from that after he amassed a fortune doing things his way to begin with.
5479  Economy / Economics / Re: Justin Sun gifted Warren Buffett bitcoin and tron on: February 13, 2020, 11:47:37 PM
Warren Buffett is an amazing guy, dude is 89 years old right now and he constantly says that he eats like a 6 year old and he jokes about it by saying "because mortality rates are very low for 6 year olds" Cheesy. Dude has managed to be successful for over 60 years now, that is not something people can actually do that constantly anymore because the world changed and I bet even if Warren Buffet himself started at 20 years old right now with 100k or even 10 million dollars at his hand, he wouldn't be able to reach 50+ billion dollars he always has (and would have been over 100 billion if he didn't donated) because the world changed too much.

Of course, it is still very important to invest into things you know about and trusted compared to stuff that "may make you rich over night" but that would seriously take too long, he wouldn't be a billionaire before he is 70+ years old if he started today.

Saying someone cant do that is a fallacy.  People will do that In the future, especially with inflation the way it is.  It is absolutely possible and might actually be easier now than when he did it due to the economy being worldwide now.  You have access to much more of the world than in years past.
5480  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IDEA for a lottery that does not depend on luck on: February 13, 2020, 11:44:56 PM
Hi everybody!

I have an idea for a new type of Bitcoin lottery.

Instead of a lottery where the winner is chosen randomly, I would like to see a lottery where the player can build some strategy to try to win the pot.

The lottery can be called "prediction lottery", let's say there is a period of time, for example, 1 week, after that period 1 player will win the jackpot. Everybody can buy a ticket for a fixed price, for example, 0.001 BTC, instead of choosing some random numbers like in most lotteries, the player makes a prediction of how much the pot is going to be at the end of the period of time. The prediction that is most close to the jackpot value, wins the lottery. Because it is more difficult to predict the pot at the beginning of the round than at the last minute, we can introduce a more expensive price of the ticket for last-minute players.

What do you think? Would you like to play a lottery such as this? What improvements or variations do you suggest?

That is a bad idea.  That can be gamed by someone who has a lot of bitcoin.  Imagine you have a bunch of bitcoin all you have to do is guess the highest amount and make sure the pool gets that high using alt accounts to "buy tickets".  And that's not a lottery there are those types of games and rounds everywhere
