¡Gracias seoincorporation!

wow! it is a brilliant way to reduce number of combinations Smiley

Thanks but wasn't enough to get the right answer. At least i had developed a system to make brainwallet brute force to text files, maybe the code is useful for someone to solve this puzzle...

Code:
#Code in Unix BashScript
rm -rf bfResult.txt bfClean.txt;
cat bf.txt | tr -dc '[:alnum:]\n\r''\n ' | tr -d [0-9] >> bfClean.txt
for y in {a..z};
do
sed -i "s/ $y/ $(echo "$y" | tr '[:lower:]' '[:upper:]')/g" "bfClean.txt"
done
z1=$(cat bfClean.txt | wc -w)
z=$(echo "$z1-8" | bc)
for a in $(seq 1 $z)
do
c=$(echo "$a+7" | bc)
b=$(cat bfClean.txt | cut -d " " -f$a-$c)
if [ "$(echo "$b" | wc -m)" = "40" ]; #40 because is the 32+spaces
then
echo $b;
echo $b >> bfResult.txt;
fi
done

By the way, i think Op should drop another hint.  Grin

Hello actmyname, nice onchain game, i would like to ask for more information about 'merkle root of a bitcoin block', with merkle root you mean the block id?

* freebitco.in: Ofrece un 4.08% anual, pagado a diario.

5465  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Criteria of a good gambler on: February 11, 2019, 06:19:15 PM
A lot of people wonder what is the criteria of a good gambler, here are some of my thought about good gambler

a good gambler never chase profit
Profit might be the first reason why people gamble, but a good gambler never attached to the profit, the most important thing in gambling is excitement and fun experience, having profit is just the bonus

a good gambler able to control himself / herself
Self controlling is very important in gambling, without a clear mind there will be a lot of mistakes in betting and even causing reckless betting and losing all of the money in split second

a good gambler know when to stop
Setting a limit is very important in gambling, setting a lost limit will prevent you to over spend your money and setting a win limit is  also important because in the long run the house got a bigger chance to win due to the house edge

a good gambler never cause any problem to the surrounding
A good gambler know that the chances of losing money in gambling is huge, so a gambler should never used daily needs money or borrowing money to gamble, and a gambler should never think of robbery or stealing to gamble

a good gambler can accept lost
When losing a good gambler won't blame the surrounding, cursing or accusing the  casino as fraud places, losing is the half part of gambling, if you can't accept lost then dont start to gamble

a good gambler should able to manage the time
A good gambler know how to split the time for family, for friends and for gambling, a good gambler never neglected family or friend just because of gambling

We must encourage people to become a good gambler, so people won't always have a bad judgement about gambler

Nice theory, but in practice is almost impossible to be a good gambler, lol. For me is impossible to know when to stop, or to not chase profit. All a gambler want is to be in the positive side, but the reality is 95% of us get busted atleast once chasing a lost. So, there are not true good gamblers.
5466  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: hesitant about investing in Bitcoin. on: February 11, 2019, 06:11:40 PM
Bitcoin is a bet my friend, and you need to be patient with it.

If you will invest on it just remember to not panic sell, remember bitcoin could take months or even years to bump, so, when you think everything is lost, is better to give a step away from your wallet and hold until a miracle happens.

Happy 3rd anniversary bit-exo !!! Long live with more power !! Any special promotions are going on there. I just checked with the site but I am not finding anything there for celebrating this big occasion. It would be good if they contacting any games and round kind of things at least for bitcointalk gamblers.

At least this is time to add some celebration news (and promos too) under bit-exo.com/news. For long time, it is just showing only "not found" Grin.

did you see the announcement post for the anniversary ? there is already a nice promotion going on
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1359320.msg49667212#msg49667212

devs are still working on the site , there are plenty of things to add in the future and the site isn't 100% ready
after the work is done you should expect more nice promotions to come

Damn! looks like i miss the party! Sad would be nice to catch some of the rain on the chat.

By the way, happy anniversary bit-exo, 3 years is already a long road, keep it up and i will follow closer your promotions! Looks, like you know how to have happy customers  Grin

I have been a client from this casino since some years ago and always think you have one of the best slots engines here!, and i would like to know if there are any plans about adding texas holdem poker to the site in the future? Thanks.

Thanks so much!  You are interested in peer to peer Texas Holdem, or some other variant?
It is easy for us to add additional games that are just players vs the house.  Player to player games would take more work,  but we are open to it.
...

Yes, i was talking about peer to peer Texas Holdem, you know a table with 9 real users betting and some tourneys. Nowadays there are only two poker engines for cryptos, poker mavens and cubeia. Maybe you can bring something new to the gambling world. Would be nice if we could have a provably fair real poker

Isn't an easy puzzle...

I think the answer of this puzzle is in the bitcoin white paper... i will try to brute force that.

brute forcing is not good way for solving this puzzle. assume the white paper has 100 distinct words, total number of combinations is: 100! / (100-8)! = 7.50306389818e+15 . assume you have a good computer and it can compute 1000 combinations per second, total time of computing will be: 7.50306389818e+12 seconds= 237920 years.

I had in mind another kind of brute force. What i did was:

Code:
a1=(words count in wp.txt)
a=(a1 - 8)
for b in (sequence 1 to $a)
do
take words from $b to $b+8, if the sum is 32 char then save it on a file
done

And what i get was this:

Code:

Sólo en enero he recibido tres intentos.

5477  Local / Esquina Libre / Re: Bitcointalk acepta pagos con Grin !!! on: February 10, 2019, 08:04:08 PM

https://twitter.com/BittrexIntl/status/1094178101284794368

https://bittrex.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360022902512-How-do-I-deposit-GRIN-

Code:
grin wallet send -m file -d my_grin_transaction.tx 10.25

Code:
grin wallet finalize -i my_grin_transaction.tx.response

Lot of us are terrible holders (me on that list...), and regrets about not holding since long time ago, so, i was thinking about a bitcoin lock, some code to hold the bitcoins until one of these conditions become true:

Code:
time == 5years
price == $50k

So, the main idea is a code who hide a privatekey. Shouldn't be hard to do, at least i could easy do it with bash linux. But want to know what do you think about this, is it a good or bad idea? and how would you do it?

I put my bitcoins in a winrar, and I put the password, I can't find the password 25 digits, the number was mixed with letters, I don't know what to do. this is really sad. I hope you don't fall into this mistake I did. be careful Sad

Damn, making brute force to 25 digits mixed with numbers isn't easy, but if you want to try then JTR is the tool you need... How much do you lose this way? If is a big amount for sure you can find someone on this forum to recover those BTC.
5480  Economy / Speculation / Re: Prediction about BTC price!!! on: February 09, 2019, 04:19:19 PM
In the last few years, along with the bitcoin all other altcoins have emerged, I have a good idea about the issue, that is crypto currency really unpredictable. When bitcoin $ 10k thought it was the right price, then it grew two times, and even when bitcoin started to decline, I thought it could not fall below $ 8k. Both of my ideas were wrong. In fact, crypto is not in the position, it's its own speed. So you do not need to think too much or time here. You have to take important decisions in a short time. Smiley

The only thing we can be sure is it will move, we don't know if up or down, but it will move.Is hard to see bitcoin stuck at one price, It's a crazy market who loves to dance. So, take what you learned for your next predictions  Wink
