5461  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] 2 Days -New In Box Crypto Candle + Babe Ruth Silver Card / 1oz Silver on: September 10, 2020, 01:47:42 PM
This auction is for two lots:

Lot 1: Crypto Candle, new in original box. The candle is new condition and never lit, and the aroma is very nice. Box has some marks on corners from storage, but still in nice shape overall. This was a business that was around until I believe 2018. Each candle has a token encased in the wax. Once the candle was burned, the numeric token could be redeemed for .1 to 1 Bitcoin. The company is no longer around, and the website appears to be no longer active. There are still other social media pages active if you google "crypto candle," but they do not appear to be updated. A very rare piece.

Ebay has one that I can find with a listing price of $599.99:
https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=cryptocandle&_sacat=0

After reading a bit about this item it seems that they are a company from the states and at the very bottom of the item description of their ebay auction it states you must be from the united states to be able to redeem the prize.
So those who are not from the states can not claim the prize if they burn the candle to reveal the token which you would need to go to their site to tell them the code you have?
Also they went out of business so you can not claim the token correct? So it is just for nostalgic purposes to own this piece of bitcoin history. Smiley
5462  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Proud partner of Southampton FC 🚀 on: September 10, 2020, 01:41:13 PM
Still thinking where to put this bet.
Yeah I was gonna ask if there's a line with good value in this match? maybe BTTS? U2.5 goals? DNB?

I went to check Crystal Palace 'Opening Day' record after they returned to the PL (back in 2013) and, it's bad, but Southampton's opening week record in the last 7 seasons isn't that great either:

Crystal Palace: 2W 1D 4L
Southampton: 1W 4D 2L

i think it's very tempting to throw that freebet on Saints ML at 2.49 odds (w/ boost), but it's the first game of the season, could be a bit risky, no?
Southhampton with so many draws... I sure hope they continue this streak coming into the new season.
I have them on the EPL pool for just that. Grin

5464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Navi 21 next generation of rdna better to mine than current navi cards? on: September 10, 2020, 01:11:16 PM
Big Navi announced to drop tomorrow according to a tweet from one of the AMD devs it seems.
https://wccftech.com/amd-big-navi-rdna-2-gpu-powered-radeon-rx-6000-series-unveil-tomorrow

They are wanting to get a leg up on Nvidia with their release of the 3000rtx series which was announced to be available by the 17th of this month.
But retailers are already showing AIB versions available to purchase on their websites in Germany and China.

^^
Welcome back to the real nice thread Tomahawk9. Grin
Hope you kick back and stay a while because the EPL are looking really nice for this super start weekend of the season.
Here are my predictions for this weeks competition:

Also some news I heard on the grapevine is Watford has a new coach. Smiley

https://futballnews.com/watford-unveils-nigel-pearsons-replacement-vladimir-ivic

Doucoure gets traded to Everton. Cry
https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11671/12062101/abdoulaye-doucoure-everton-sign-midfielder-from-watford-in-20m-deal

This should change the lineup during the championship match they have with middlesbough and is also one of the matches in this week's installment of multimasters.
So choose your picks wisely. Undecided
Good luck everyone!
5466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis: US Open 2020 on: September 09, 2020, 05:01:47 PM
It was a surprise for Nole to get DQ'd out of the tournament from that mess up with a ball hitting an empire in the throat.
As Zverev said during his post match interview he mentioned if the ball was hit just an inch differently it wouldn't be such an incident of happening.
Just severely unlucky for Djokovic, I would have to say because as he had mentioned, the lines person moved into the balls path at the last second.
I am not sure as I haven't looked at the video too closely but there are certainly alot of different angles with all the phone footage as well.

Where is this telegram group you are mentioning and are their any free spots left?
I might join in if the price isn't to steep.

Well damn that sucks. Sad

I had 413 for last nights games and the the total was 411 so only off by 2 points and I would of won the prize. Undecided

Yes agreed with Freedomgo,
Move it to the right section and continue from there. Still have Toronto vs Boston and LA Clippers vs Denver to finish up their series.
So plenty of games left to play and chances to win.

You could have won mate, but it's just unfortunate that we can't count that anymore. Well, I guess we have to wait for 14 days before OP will resume the game, and I think when that time comes, there will be more participants as it will be in the games and rounds section.
The game is carry on from today members can post here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5271317.0

This is very sad as many already pointed out to BetBTC about this but they never take this seriously so now paying penalty for this but good lesson for many others as well hopefully all will be ok in coming days.
I think you misunderstood.
They will not be able to carry on until their main account is out from the banned status.
This competition is suspended until they retrieve the normal operation of their account even if they move it to the games and rounds section on that particular thread you linked to.
So by that time we will be in the finals. Undecided
5469  Other / Meta / Re: Why was LN moved to altcoins? on: September 09, 2020, 12:08:21 PM
Some people view it as a means to an end for bitcoin's advancement in the space such as segwit has.
But it is seen as an alt coin because you need to swap your bitcoin for those lightning tokens to be able to use it on their network.
I haven't used it yet so don't know the entire story but this is what I have understood how it works by just dabbling into the LN threads around here.

Multi Master is LIVE!
"OPT-IN" for your chance to win a guaranteed 300 mBTC!
https://sportsbet.io/promotions/weekend-multi-master

Just about to put this up on the sportsbetting promotions revision thread.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5208617.0

I still can’t believe they held these dumb international fixtures so soon before the start of the season. Still, we don’t have long to wait until the real stuff returns. A very strange time, not just for sport.
Agreed. They're glorified friendlies and a lot of big players aren't even participating in them. They should have cancelled or postponed the Nations League with the start of the Premier League and other European leagues starting this weekend or shortly after. It's far too close. England game was boring as well. Can't see tonight's match being much different either. They were very lucky to win it and it should have been a draw if not for the Iceland penalty miss.
Hello,
Yes, we will have a Southampton promotion to share very soon!
Football is back already! very quick...
What about Watford? Those new home shirts look tasty:

If anyone wants to join Sportsbet's sponsored Premier League predictor pool please do so here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5270461.0
Nearly 0.3 in bitcoin to be won plus many more prizes. If you enjoy betting on the Premier League then you will almost certainly enjoy the pool.
Joined in to see what sort of shirt we will get this time. Already have the away watford shirt so this new kit would be a good bonus just for signing up.
I suggest many who are following this thread to join up because this is valued more than just the $45 entry fee alone.
I bought some EPL jerseys while in London and they cost alot more there than in the states. Spent close to $150 for each one bought.
So nearly triple the cost of just registering for this EPL pool for a chance to win $50 per week anyways.
Really a no brainer! Grin

Just went in today to make my picks but I still see a red "clock" logo next to all of our names, is there something we needed to do? Because I'm also in another pool and I don't see those symbols appearing.

I went for one or two draws, but mostly favorites:)
This seemed to be cleared up as I just placed my picks without any issues and they all went through really quick.
Great interface and actually made it an enjoyable process to go thru and not as tedious I thought it would be picking over 7 matches.  Grin
I only went for one draw as I think all teams will come out the gates on all cylinders so alot of goals! Wink
5476  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience Terminus R606 750GH (up to 1TH) quiet miner, now shipping on: September 07, 2020, 09:22:03 PM
The 1000 watt psu came today - currently running two R606's and 1 Apollo off of it - and still enough power for when Sidehack gets that 500 watt miner done...

Which 500watt miner by sidehack are you referring to if you don't mind me asking. I am new to this type of hack of asics and would like to know if it is better than these terminus R606.

5477  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin Experiment: A documentary about how real world is on a death spiral on: September 07, 2020, 05:24:38 PM
I realize they like to have lots of views and lots effects, but this could've been a few paragraphs of writing or condensed down into a few minutes.  I'm sure they mean well, but for heaven's sake, get to the point.

They need a TLDW at the start.
Uh, what paragraph?
It's a watchable video and not just a website to read about it from.

Will be watching this when I have VPN. But mostly we will hear the same thing as before about the topics involving Fiat currencies and how Bitcoin can be the solution for the upcoming financial crisis. Well we have seen it before during March of 2020 where even all of the markets are down including the crypto market Bitcoin was the first one to recover and it is pushing up right now. We can actually say that Bitcoin can be a good option when it comes to situation like this as fiat will definitely be affected everytime their is a economic crisis going on.

Couldn't watch it here(without VPN) unfortunately...Says "This Video not available".

Anyway, people should always remember that it's  one of Bitcoin important features: Deflation (which some campaigned against in the recent past) that is mostly keeping things from getting devalued. Imagine if majority had chickened out after massive and continuous campaign against its deflationary feature. I strongly believe that all of its other important features play (or would play) a good role in keeping Bitcoin safe. They should be strengthen not weakened...Though I'm in favour of a better regulated supply to keep volatility moderate and with some predictability.

Yeah unfortunately youtube is not allowing some of their content they are streaming to every user so it is in a sense a centralized system in itself.
Just becareful when you are choosing which vpn service to go with.
Most if not all which are cheaply available and more than likely the ones offered for free will be using your data while you are behind their service walls for their own purposes.
Just be cybersecurity aware and go with a paid-service which have good feedback from their users on sites such as trustpilot or trustedreview.

Congrats to you buwaytress bruvh. Wink

I did know there would be two draws just picked the wrong damn teams is all. Cheesy
Russia was almost a draw with two goals in the second half but never would of thought germany would be one of them.
Spain just destroyed in their game.
I had 7 correctly picked going in to the final day so thought I would of had atleast 10 correct.
Because with these games there weren't any real upsets which usually occur during the competitions. Undecided

Not hot anymore, isn't it?
Why do you think this is happening?
Its all FOMO. Like you have already said. The Defi craze is like the ICO hype back in 2017. People sees the green candles, daily gains of +100% and more and don't want to miss this race. BUt at this moment, it seems the race is over and we can move to serious projects.

When I look at all defi charts they all look like a hotdog to be honest. Embarrassed

They are hot at first then they just fizzle and die eventually with no real sustainable evidence to make sense what is to back it.
This has been proven time and time again with one coming out every couple of days.
It is like a game to the developers at this point but they don't care that people are playing with real money in their pet projects. Undecided
