Yeah you didn't say "DGM" but the point of that was coz that's what your pool uses - and you are telling someone else how they should run their pool.
Perhaps because DGM is actually a fair method? Proportional pools cater only to hoppers, and anyone else mining at one is essentially defrauded of their share because of that.
If you must resort to hopping to pay the bills, perhaps you shouldn't be mining. If it is just greed, then props to the bigger poolops switching away from proportional, so that regular users can get their fair share without going to a huge established  monopolistic pool.

DISCLAIMER: I do not mine at EMC.

no one has a mtgox yubikey they ordered but then never used? bump!
Nope, they are just that awesome. Also, mtgox keys are tied to them, and can't be used anywhere else.

Looks good. You mentioned music production - for that I would highly recommend re-vamping your storage subsystem. You might want to consider an SSD or 2 as an OS/scratch disk, and a set of HDDs with some kind of RAID. My rig has four 2 TB WD RE4's in RAID 10 for mass storage, and an SSD for OS/scratch space.

5467  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [318 GH] Ozcoin Pooled Mining Pty Ltd DGM/US EU and AU servers/SSL/All welcome on: January 17, 2012, 03:32:51 AM
More exciting news! Ozcoin is helping test ecoinpool

<p2k> ecoinpool is on its way to ozcoin. I have to check for 100% compatibility to the existing

structures, then there will be an open beta (probably in 1-2 days) where your shares will be forwarded

to the main database.

looking forward to loadtesting this new pool software Smiley
Great! Please be sure to tell us how well Erlang apps scale horizontally; that is one of the main selling points right? Grin

Just get an AX1200 and call it a day, especially if you're going to UC and UV.
Hm. Four 300 watt cards on a 1200 watt PSU? Sounds legit.

5471  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mt Gox - withdraw Address changed, Bitcoins Lost? on: January 16, 2012, 08:05:42 PM
Hey there,

I was pretty surprised when I wanted to withdraw some BTC at Mt Gox. I saved the Address in the past and just clicked it in my bitcoin client and sent some bitcoins. Then i checked Mt Gox again and realized that the withdraw address changed.

Are my bitcoins lost?
No, the address changes every time. You can still send coins to "used" addresses as well. It will take 6 confirmations before they show in your account.

Where do you ship from? I ordered a few weeks ago, but haven't seen anything as of yet. Not sure how long it is supposed to take.

I don't have a smart phone but do use Google double authentication SMS for my gmail account, can someone tell me if I can use it somehow on Bitcoinica, I've read the Google set up page but can't work out if it's relevant for what's offered at Bitcoinica & if it's not could Zhou please add something simpler like a Yubi key or 3 random characters to input from a drop down menu using one's long memorable phrase please, also my mobile phone won't work in some parts of the world so I can't get the SMS
many thanks for the info, Zhou pse set up an alternative & if anyone has the inclination then kindly to give me there opinion of what the best smart phone to get for using with this & Bitcoins in general would be, many thanks, oh yes & my main computer is a new Mac atm so would there be anything that I could plug in to it to make it do whatever it is that the smart phones do for 2FA
Ever heard of punctuation? I think there are 4 questions and 5 different statements in those quotes, but I can't be sure.

I would brag about 79.8 if I were such an unlawful criminal that did file sharing ...
Amateurs. Over 400 ratio on an 11GB file, beat that.

Sounds expensive to me, its only .0202 per watt here.

You pay $20.20 per kilowatt-hour?  Seems a bit unprofitable to mine bitcoins...
Did you read backward? He said $0.0202 kw/h.

No, he said ".0202 per watt"... like you quoted... learn 2 read
Lol OK, I kind of ass/u/med that he meant kw/h, and I guess you didn't. I do humbly apologize for your misunderstanding Grin
